We ordered a large cheese pizza and a steak and cheese. The steak and cheese was good, all of the cheese was at the bottom of the bun in the crack. The meat needed some flavoring. More salt and pepper on the meat and it would've been perfect. It was kind of flavorless. The bun was nice and soft. The cheese pizza the cheese was toasted to perfection. It was good. It won't be replacing my favorite pizza joint. But I was not disappointed in our lunch choice.

The pricing is moderate. I stopped by Pepenero for takeout on the way home. They were offering a deal where you spend at least $45, they'll give you a free small cheese pizza. I ordered a Large Special Deluxe House Pizza ($23.99 plus tax), Vodka Pasta ($13.99 plus tax), Spanakopita (5 pc for $7.99 plus tax), and a Small Cheese Pizza (free, normally $11.99). These are cash prices and a 4 percent service fee would apply if paying online or with card. The place was steady busy as this pizza place is on a busy commuting route. My order was ready in about 20 minutes after ordering in person. I enjoyed some of the hot food on premises before heading back home to enjoy the rest. The Special Deluxe House Pizza was loaded with lots of toppings including red sauce, mozzarella cheese, sausage, pepperoni, bacon, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, artichokes, black olives, banana peppers on top of a thin crust with puffed soft edges. The crust was sagging from the weight of the toppings. The small cheese pizza had red sauce and mozzarella cheese on a firm thin crust, with minimal edge crust. The Vodka Pasta had soft fettuccine noodles smothered in a thick vodka cream sauce and parmesan cheese. The Spanakopita (Spinach Pie) triangles were crispy layered with puff pastry, feta cheese, and chopped spinach. Overall, the food was pretty good and I actually bought enough food for a few days lunch and dinner.

We ordered two large pies and received both uncut which is a mistake that could happen, but what proceeded was inexcusable. The owner was contacted and apologetically offered to have a nearby delivery person cut our pies. Our pies sat cold waiting for a delivery person to arrive. He arrived 15 minutes later with an attitude. When we contacted the owner again he replied"give us a break it's hot outside" " this is the best we can do for you". Not a bad place, but not good either. Dining area is cramped, and nothing on the menu really pops. The pizza is ok, but the roast beef was a real disappointment. If you're going to put up a banner pushing your roast beef, it had better be terrific. Serving cold, flavorless roast beef on a bulkie roll isn't doing it for me, and with all the competition in town, I won't be back. read more
