Pretty decent pizza. Nobody seemed to be working the drive thru though. I ordered ahead and my pizza was hot and ready when I got there.

I wish I could give them 10 stars !…read more Alisa, Antoinette & Angie -- they truly made us feel a part of their family. My family & I are on a cross country road trip, and so we've had the honor of visiting many restaurants along the way, from Los Angeles to Massachusetts & Ristorante Molise is most definitely our favorite. Right away we were greeted by our gracious host Alisa, in the front of house -- and despite being absolutely full (and for good reason!) Alisa found us a nice table within minutes. The decor is so inviting and has that warm authentic feeling of the Italian countryside. Once sat, Angie (our beautiful waitress) greeted us right away, bringing us plenty of bread as each basket was devoured, and made sure our every need was taken care of, and with such a level of attention that we never felt rushed or hurried in anyway -- just taken care of. Water glasses filled just as the bread basket. Antoinette is the artist in the kitchen, and everything from the salt on the table to the coffee was simply delicious. Truly. Our appetizer-- the calamari -- was to die for. I've had many calamari in the past and while all are good, the calamari from Ristorante Molise is of another class altogether; pure fantasy: it came with sauce that was out of this world, that soaked the otherwise crispy calamari -- like a slightly spicy & juicy tomato bisque, and with lemon slices (if you like, which we did). Then came our salads, and we have not been eating vegetables so much on our trip, so to finally decide on green vegetables and to have done so here was just a blessing of the highest order. I had their Caesar salad, my father their house salad and my mother decided on their soup de jour (Minestrone). All of us loved what we ordered; I hadn't had a creamy Caesar dressing like I had here at Ristorante Molise since I was a child -- it brought back so many memories. When our main courses came, I had their Fettuccine Bolognese (with their house meatballs), my mother had their Fettuccine in a clam & chicken broth sauce, with huge succulent prawns that was 'kissed the sky' good, and my father had their Haddock with penne Alfredo that knocked his socks off! My bolognese was soooo good. Each bite I took felt like heaven. Plus I had a delicious wine (from my neck of the country) that complimented my dish terrifically! The staff simply went above and beyond, it seemed, and as we were finishing, a nice couple came by and told us they come here all the time -- so I'm sure this is just how they are: hospitable, attentive, loving and I just can't say enough good things about this beautiful restaurant. A beautiful staff and a beautiful pair of wonderful sister owners that have the best restaurant in the whole country I dare say. Three Michelin Stars, I say, in my humble opinion. ...Until next time, and thank you for reading this incredibly long review! Buon appetito!!

She was professional, kind and friendly. She made us feel very welcomed. We hope to get her again on our next visit. I loved the bruschetta and the homemade noodles were perfectly made. I loved the ambiance as well as the Italian songs in the background. It's a nice place to have at least a few appetizers. We loved their bread which comes with your meal. The prices are a bit high but the quality is there. The portions are hearty enough for most people to take home some leftovers. The chef is solid and so was the waitress. We will come again.

I called the restaurant asked to speak to the manger, I told her the pizza should have never left the restaurant and I wanted a refund. She said I would have to get my refund from DoorDash. She never apologized for the pizza but offered me a gift card. I drove to the restaurant to bring back my burnt pizza and to get a new one. When I arrived I dropped the box on the counter and expressed my frustration that I had paid for celery but had to come all the way back to the restaurant. When I asked her for my gift card she said " I was gonna give you one, but when you came in with that kind of attitude, I'm not going to"

They also offer online ordering and a 10 percent discount for military, police, fire, and hospital employees with ID. They offer traditional & specialty Neapolitan pizzas (10" and 16" round), Mediterranean sandwiches & bowls, pasta, salads, appetizers, desserts, and dinner plates (falafel, kofta kabob, chicken fajita). The pricing is moderate. I stopped by Pepenero for takeout on the way home. They were offering a deal where you spend at least $45, they'll give you a free small cheese pizza. I ordered a Large Special Deluxe House Pizza ($23.99 plus tax), Vodka Pasta ($13.99 plus tax), Spanakopita (5 pc for $7.99 plus tax), and a Small Cheese Pizza (free, normally $11.99). These are cash prices and a 4 percent service fee would apply if paying online or with card. The place was steady busy as this pizza place is on a busy commuting route. My order was ready in about 20 minutes after ordering in person. I enjoyed some of the hot food on premises before heading back home to enjoy the rest. The Special Deluxe House Pizza was loaded with lots of toppings including red sauce, mozzarella cheese, sausage, pepperoni, bacon, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, artichokes, black olives, banana peppers on top of a thin crust with puffed soft edges. The crust was sagging from the weight of the toppings. The small cheese pizza had red sauce and mozzarella cheese on a firm thin crust, with minimal edge crust. The Vodka Pasta had soft fettuccine noodles smothered in a thick vodka cream sauce and parmesan cheese. The Spanakopita (Spinach Pie) triangles were crispy layered with puff pastry, feta cheese, and chopped spinach. Overall, the food was pretty good and I actually bought enough food for a few days lunch and dinner.

This year on one of the occasions we went, we happened to try to get in after 9pm, the staff was clearly in close up mode so we felt bad, but David and the bartender insisted we come in for our nightcap. We had our drinks and left, also as usual the drinks were very good. We returned the next day for dinner, we started with the provolone slab appetizer, then I had the lobster risotto, which was loaded with lobster and really tasty. My wife had scallops, and we both enjoyed an amazing martini. David, our server, and the rest of the staff were all amazing as usual!!

Overall a nice dining experience…read more First, this is an old school Italian family restaurant, and so expect the dining to be loud, very very loud, with lots of families and children dining and moving about the dining room. While that's fine, I just wasn't expecting it. It is very difficult to hold a conversation with others at your table. Although we had a reservation, we were given a buzzer and our table was ready just a few moments past our reservation time. We were promptly greeted by a service person who poured our water, but it was a good 15 minutes or so before our server came to the table. She apologized and it was obvious the restaurant was in full service, even at 6PM on a Tuesday evening. You must have a reservation. The restaurant does provide a complimentary bread service, which is becoming more or a rarity these days. The arancini appetizer was quite delicious and was enjoyed by everybody at the table. The stuffed mushrooms were also delicious. I ordered the bolognese pasta dish and was quite surprised to be served a true al dente pasta. Our waitress told us the pasta dishes were great and everything made in house. While the pasta was good, the bolognese sauce wasn't really to my personal taste. Again, this sauce is made so many different ways. Nothing wrong with it, just not one of my favorite here unfortunately, with the sauce being a bit acidic. All in all, the entrees were enjoyed by the others at our table. If you are looking for a solid family style Italian dinner in Ogunquit, then this will hit the spot. No worries about bringing children or babies, all seemed welcome. If you are looking for a quiet or more intimate dinner, this may not be the best choice.
