Case of savory baked goods like meat pies and calzones
Kara D.

Ok so, it's beach pizza. Annnd there mayyy be more of a nostalgia or novelty to it in general, than it being some remarkable gift to the culinary world. Thin square crust, sweet sauce, and a slice of provolone (which is "extra cheese" and a MUST) and you've got beach pizza. Yes, I do really love it and have some weird attachment to it too, but I'm not crazy picky about it either. And this is a convenient place to get it in the winter. NH Beach Pizza is small, and is mostly just a counter to order and a station to cover your pizza in garlic powder. I forget if I got there after 8 or 9pm, but their kitchen was closed and they were only re-heating pizza and what was in the case. So I got 2 slices of extra cheese. I considered getting a meat pie or calzone too because they were straight up teasing me in the case, but I miraculously resisted. The slices came up hot and fast from the oven, and I think they were pretty good! The crust was crispy and held up to the sauce which was not TOO sweet. I was satisfied and most likely stop by again when I'm home. And I will probably go HAM on a calzone next time too.

Standard average beach pizza. Expensive to boot, 2 bucks a slice seems like a deal but after adding Roni and cheese it's like 3 bucks with the tax and you need to order two to equal one slice of regular pizza. & $38 bucks for a full box?! Holy cow! Now about their spinach pie... honesty, the worst I've ever eaten... just horrible. Sour and really oniony. Never mind having to wade through the Haverhill riff raff and dregs of society at that end of city center... Gave them 3 chances... I'm good.

It's beach pizza without having to go to the beach. Same overpriced pizza, same crappy service. I called in last night for a tray of pizza and they quoted me 20-25 mins, pretty average wait time, not to bad. I go in and they haven't even put my order in yet! So I had to wait around for another 10-15 mins. Ringing up to a whopping total of $28 before tax, the size of the pizza box it looks intimidating. But when you actually compare it to a regular large pizza box, there's really not too much more pizza to it. If you really want beach pizza, save the novelty for the beach.

Haverhill House Of Pizza & Subs

Haverhill House of Pizza & Subs II just opened in the former Craft Dog PIzza building on Locust…read moreStreet, under new ownership. The other location HHOP I operates at the RiversEdge Plaza. Similar to the other location, the menu offerings here include pizza (10" & 16"), cold subs, hot oven baked subs, steak subs, pasta dinners, fried foods, fish & chips, steak tips, shepherd's pie, desserts (cannolis, whoopie pies, baklava, ice cream & frappes), bag chips and cooler drinks (Coke products). The pricing is reasonable here and they offer several specials. There are a few differences between locations including one sub size (large only) offered, two pizza sizes (10" & 16"), and they serve Richardson's Ice Cream & frappes at this location. The printed menu pricing is similar at both locations, but still needs updating (at the time of posting), as the in-store/online prices on Toast are around 5 percent higher. The place is order at the counter and there is ample table seating spaced close together. I stopped by HHOP II for takeout recently. The friendly staff greeted me as I strolled in from the cold. I ordered the Eggplant Parm over Ziti ($11.55 plus tax) served with garlic bread and a Large Haddock Sub ($12.75 plus tax) with lettuce, tomato, onions, & tartar sauce and included a small bag of Lays Potato Chips and a bottle of cold Coke. My order was ready to in about 17 minutes. The Eggplant Parm Dinner was packed well into the round plastic bowl with soft ziti, red sauce, thin breaded eggplant slices, more sauce, and a thick melted layer of mozzarella cheese on top. The side of oven baked garlic bread was a 2 sub roll halves buttered & seasoned. The Haddock Sub (11.3" roll) was filled with shredded lettuce, cut tomato slices, onions, long breaded pieces of fried haddock, & tartar sauce on a thick hot sub roll. I will definitely have to visit this location again soon for the pizza and steak subs!

Service was attentive, though our server was a little overly enthusiastic with the endearments. It wasn't bad service, just a bit much for my taste. The calamari was good. It definitely stood out for us. Everything else was kind of...meh. Not bad, but not memorable either. I tried the seared tuna because it was prepared differently than I've had before, it was definitely interesting, just not a wow moment. Same with the parmesan fries. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it also wasn't amazing. I wouldn't rush back, but I wouldn't be opposed to going again in the far future.

When I saw in my…read moresocial media feed that they had a $29 3-course meal deal including a glass of wine, I decided to give it a try. We had a fantastic dining experience at Bosa! They had limited parking but street parking was easily available. We made a reservation through Open Table. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and offered the choice of a high or low top table. It wasn't too busy when we arrived but filled up quickly in both the bar and dining area. We weren't initially offered the $29 menu but I requested it and it was brought over right away. Since the menu included a glass of wine, we started with that. We quickly were provided their delicious bread. I wanted to have more but then I remembered that there were 3 courses coming so I decided not to. For my first course, I went with the mussels and sausage. They were accompanied by grilled bread that my partner ended up having with the sauce. I found this dish to be delicious and garlicky. It was to my liking. For my main course, I went with the baked cod. The fish was cooked perfectly. Potatoes were over-whipped but the seasoning was good. I would order this dish again if the potatoes weren't so runny. My dessert were the chocolate chip cannolis and they were the perfect ending for this delicious meal. Our server was Viana and she was super nice. She checked on us a few times and gave us time to enjoy our meal. They have some igloos outside but I didn't see anyone using them this time. Looked like it could be a pleasant experience. Place has an upscale vibe and yet there was a mix of people dressed to the nines and some more casual. Everybody seemed to be having a good time enjoying their meal. Bathroom were very clean and organized. Value for money this place 5 stars for me. If I was paying full price for it, I would give it a 4. It is a place that I would visit again.
