Korean BBQ Beef Bibimbap - A bowl of Korean BBQ beef bibimbap featuring sliced beef, mixed vegetables, a fried egg, and garnishes, served with a side of sauce.

Food was amazing. Best meal we had in Exeter. Our server was friendly and checked on us frequently. Highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner, especially if you're into trying something different.

I have never had a meal at Street I enjoyed. I think you need to have a stomach for grease and mayo to enjoy, that's just not me. I love the ambiance and location but can't seem to find good a dish They seem to take my favorite foreign dishes and reinvent them without disclaimer. Although beautifully presented, the bibimbap tasted completely unfamiliar, and that's not a good thing. The recipe was simply weird. I tried their empanadas and was disappointed in the amount of grease that seeped out from each bite. They were quite overpriced as well at $12 for two tiny pieces. They make a Banh Mi that is also untraditional and is served with Chipotle mayo. Not good! I love the decor and the drink selection is quite unusual. However they average over $14. The beers are also priced far beyond what I consider reasonable for that establishment.

Mexicali Bowl with pork - A bowl containing shredded meat, salad with jalapeños, and drizzled with white sauce, placed on a colorful table with a glass of beer nearby.

We ended up trying this place since it was a little late and the restaurant we originally planned on closed unexpectedly early. That was fortunate, because we had an excellent dinner here! I got the half-size Mexicali Bowl with pork, which was delicious -- it was pulled pork, and really tender and juicy. Plenty of veggies and beans in there as well. Prices tend to be fairly high here, but the half-size Mexicali Bowl is very reasonably priced, and still a decent portion. My wife got the pozole, which she enjoyed, but it was a bit too spicy for her. Atmosphere is festive, and there's a lot of seating (including an outdoor patio). Hostess and waitstaff were uniformly friendly and efficient. We'll come here again!

A tray holds a burger wrapped in checkered paper, crispy fries with cheese, and a small cup of sauce, likely in a casual dining setting.

Really fun atmosphere and very kid friendly, but the food was pretty greasy. Overall the staff was kind and prompt and we did have a good time. However I wouldn't come back for the food. The portions are large and the selection is interesting- you've got a lot of vegan/veg options too.

A glass bottle and a glass of water are placed on a restaurant table with a menu, in a lively dining environment with several patrons.

The restaurant itself is stylish and intimate. The space boasts eye catching decor from neon signs and a mahjong tile doorway to big murals and light fixtures in the form of umbrellas and lanterns. The menu is printed to look and feel like a Hong Kong Hollywood newspaper which I also thought was really cool. The menu here is smaller and more focused than the one at the Kowloon, but I did see that it still offers a handful of the Kowloon's signature dishes. In the case of this restaurant, I definitely feel that the limited menu is essential to producing higher quality dishes. We shared a scorpion bowl cocktail for two, which was served in a cute beckoning cat drinking vessel. For food we got the scallion pancake, the General Gau's chicken and the Brussels sprouts. The food came out about ten minutes after we ordered which initially made me a little bit nervous about the food quality, but once we dug in we could tell that the food was quite fresh. The scallion pancake was nice and crispy on the outside, a little bit chewy on the inside and was served with a ginger sauce for dipping. The Brussels sprouts were prepared Kung Pao style with peanuts and a touch of chili pepper. The General Gau's chicken was fried well, coated in a delightfully sweet and spicy sauce and topped with crispy fried rice noodles. We are just about every morsel on the plates. We knew had to save a little room for dessert here when we saw that they serve a giant chocolate dipped fortune cookie that they smash apart with a mallet right at the table. Served alongside some ice cream, the giant fortune cookie is a super sweet and fun way to finish your time here. Additionally, it came as a pleasant surprise when our check came and it was not quite as high as we were anticipating, especially when you consider that the restaurant is housed inside of a casino. All in all, 9 Dragons left us with a great first impression. A great addition to the Seacoast.

I only took off one star for price. It is definitely overpriced. The food was great though. I was…read moreborn and raised just a few minutes from their flagship restaurant, Kowloon in Saugus, MA, so the food at 9 Dragons is not new to me as it's pretty much a smaller scale Kowloon. I live in southern Maine now so it's an hour or so drive to Kowloon. It's only 25 minutes to the Brook and 9 dragons. The decor is dark and what I would call kind of vampy, in a good way. We got our favorites and one new thing. We had chicken fingers, crab rangoons, pork fried rice, and the new to us was the night market popcorn chicken. It was so good! So was the sauce it came with. The night market chicken was described as an Asian Chick-fil-A , and I agree! The nuggets were lightly breaded and seasoned with Chinese 5 spice, so they had a subtle cinnamon flavor. The sauce wasn't spicy, it was just good, almost like a honey mustard. The chicken fingers are lightly battered, unlike most that are all batter and little chicken. The crab rangoons are my favorite of any crab Rangoons! They're not sweet like most, the filling had a very well balanced flavor. They came as an order of 5. I think the fingers were an order of 5 as well, but I'm not sure. The pork fried rice is not greasy. The ambiance is kind of dark and noire, and you don't hear the sounds of the casino from inside the restaurant. After a 20% tip, our order of 5 crab Rangoons, 5 chicken fingers, pork fried rice, night market chicken, a Pepsi and a margarita mocktail (no alcohol) came to about a $100. It was good but definitely overpriced for what we got, but then it is in a casino, so that is probably why it was pricey. I'd go again if I didn't feel like dealing with rte one traffic in Saugus, MA or the hour or so drive to get there, but I wouldn't make 9 Dragons a place to go to on the regular. Side note- we went for the casino too. Small time slot player, I turned $20 into $50 then cashed out. Haha.

The salad was excellent and the shrimp plump and spicy. I had their barbecue pork bun and was tempted by their ramens but went for the daily special of a duck pho. The pork bun was okay, having a different flavor profile than what I was expecting from usual Chinese pork buns. The pho, unfortunately, was a little disappointing: while the duck itself was good, lean and tasty, the broth was almost tasteless. Addition of their house hot sauce didn't improve it (maybe needed the real sriracha!). And - I got a stomach ache right after the meal (maybe from the raw bean sprouts?). Anyway, wished I'd gone with the ramen ... So some dishes were very good, some need work imo. We'll try it again - I haven't been put off by the experience tbh. Staff is very pleasant and friendly. The restaurant is clean and while a little on the small side, seating was comfortable and pleasant decor.
