    Korean BBQ Beef Bibimbap

Food was amazing. Best meal we had in Exeter. Our server was friendly and checked on us frequently. Highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner, especially if you're into trying something different.

I have never had a meal at Street I enjoyed. I think you need to have a stomach for grease and mayo to enjoy, that's just not me. I love the ambiance and location but can't seem to find good a dish They seem to take my favorite foreign dishes and reinvent them without disclaimer. Although beautifully presented, the bibimbap tasted completely unfamiliar, and that's not a good thing. The recipe was simply weird. I tried their empanadas and was disappointed in the amount of grease that seeped out from each bite. They were quite overpriced as well at $12 for two tiny pieces. They make a Banh Mi that is also untraditional and is served with Chipotle mayo. Not good! I love the decor and the drink selection is quite unusual. However they average over $14. The beers are also priced far beyond what I consider reasonable for that establishment.

    Mexicali Bowl with pork

We ended up trying this place since it was a little late and the restaurant we originally planned on closed unexpectedly early. That was fortunate, because we had an excellent dinner here! I got the half-size Mexicali Bowl with pork, which was delicious -- it was pulled pork, and really tender and juicy. Plenty of veggies and beans in there as well. Prices tend to be fairly high here, but the half-size Mexicali Bowl is very reasonably priced, and still a decent portion. My wife got the pozole, which she enjoyed, but it was a bit too spicy for her. Atmosphere is festive, and there's a lot of seating (including an outdoor patio). Hostess and waitstaff were uniformly friendly and efficient. We'll come here again!

Really fun atmosphere and very kid friendly, but the food was pretty greasy. Overall the staff was kind and prompt and we did have a good time. However I wouldn't come back for the food. The portions are large and the selection is interesting- you've got a lot of vegan/veg options too.

Food was very good, but expensive. The atmosphere was a little too loud for me but pretty good experience overall.

Couldn't even cut through the biscuit. If you can't make biscuits take it off the menu. Waitress dropped food in my lap. Very disappointed.

Overall we had an enjoyable meal. They have a really nice outdoor patio which we hoped to enjoy, but it seems to be raining every weekend this summer, and so we had to sit inside. It was a Friday night, and the dining room was not very busy. Hostess and our server were incredibly friendly and made sure we were comfortable (there were some very cold AC vents near our table). We started with a fried cauliflower appetizer, which was good. Certainly not the best I've enjoyed, but tasty. Portion size was enough for a party of 4 or more! The cauliflower was a tempura batter style with a general gao's like sweet/sour sauce. It was served piping hot! Lobster roll was massive, cold mayo style and served with fried shallots, rather than onion rings. A nice twist and something I've never had before. Unfortunately, the fries served with this dish were limp. I'm pretty fussy about my fries and I just don't understand why some restaurants don't fry them to order. If you don't, you end up with luke warm, soggy fries that honestly are not worth eating. For me, that ruins the entire dish and I have to wonder what the kitchen is thinking sending out coldish limp fries. Another entree we tried were the Gnocchi with wild mushrooms. This was a nice dish and the gnocchi were light and fluffy, with plenty of mushrooms. A nice plate overall. We finished dinner with an orange granita dessert which came with plenty of carmelized orange peels on top, one of my favorites! In fact, I enjoyed the candied orange more than the Granita itself! Exeter is really having a moment with a number of great dining options. With just a tad more attention to the dishes, I think in time Epoch could be among those option restaurants. Give them a try

After standing at the Host station and not having someone approach, we decided to seat ourselves at the gorgeous bar. The seats were full, it looked like a way to have fun, be served easily (for both sides), and spend time laughing with one another. Our dinner choices, Cajun Salmon for me and Fish n' Chips for my husband, were delicious. My husband's fries weren't as hot as you'd hope, but the fish was perfectly cooked. I'll attach the pics. When I ordered, I asked our waitstaff if skin was served on the salmon, and if so, could I please have it seared off prior to serving. After being told that skin wasn't served on the salmon, I was very happy to sit and enjoy my drink. When the dinners arrived, there was, in fact, skin on the salmon. Not huge, but def a thing. And now, it really became disappointing. We weren't asked if we would like something else. Happily, there was another person behind the bar who could grab some ketchup, but when my husband thought to ask for malt vinegar, we could not get anyone's attention. We then watched our waiter put on her backpack and off she went without a final check in. Our plates festered in front of us for 20 minutes before being cleared, and no...there wasn't any offer to get us something else. Ambiance? Unwelcoming. Not even a 'Hello' or 'Have a good night'. An up charge for half a Caesar Salad because I didn't want the 2 sides seemed cheap and churlish. As did the, 'So you don't want two sides?'. I have had really lovely lunches at this site, and in the dining area, but this experience has done all but negate any of the good. We all know that the hospitality industry is difficult, and finding staff even more so. I would not, however, be able to treat my colleagues in the same indifferent and uncommunicative way that our waiter gifted to us. I expect a modicum of courtesy and warmth when I choose the businesses into which I decide to invest my discretionary monies. Should you be wondering why we didn't speak to the Manager, we waited to get the attention of anyone to ask if we could speak to him. Finally, we gave up. And no, I don't believe that it's on us to get up and chase down a wait person. We walked out feeling less than. And that should never have been the case.

It took about 15 minutes for our order to be served, so not your typical "fast food". All in all, we enjoyed. The milkshake was delicious and old timey. The cheeseburger was a juicy and sloppy mess (in a good way), and did in fact remind me of in-out-burger. I felt it was the right size as well, and fairly priced. (Hello Five guys). The fries were mixed for me. Cooked to order, perfectly crispy and hot out of the fryer, so.... They were crinkle cut, which just isn't my type of fry. Insides were soft and tender and loaded with potato flavor. I am sure most would love them, but there is something about a crinkle cut fry that doesn't cut it for me :-( These seemed like legit hand cut fries as well. This is a "me" problem. We will return as I am anxious to try the hot dog. Hopefully some more staff will help speed the process up.

When we first walked in, we noticed that there was only one waitstaff in the front. She was killing it and doing her best, but it does upset me that she had to do it all herself. As someone who has worked in food service, I cannot imagine how exhausted she was. And how she is probably not paid enough to do all of this crazy stuff. Such as making milkshakes, taking orders (long lines), running back and forth from the front to the kitchen, bussing tables, etc. I have so much admiration for this woman. But this is kind of disgraceful... I also assume there's maybe two people working out back? Maybe one? The food took 40 minutes. For two burgers and fries. That is crazy for a "quick stop" restaurant. Let's dive into food... the burgers are very messy, but in the best way. Tip*** get them dirty. Then you get a secret sauce and griddled onions. The best way to eat a smash burger! Not shown, my mom loved the hot dog! The onion rings were also crispy and tasty. The fries were soft inside and crisp outside. Seasoned well. All in all, the food is fantastic. PLUS, the pricing is great!!! I used to love Lexie's but cannot fathom spending $12 for that. And it has gone downhill. Lee Frank's is giving them a run for their money!! Good!!! But all in all, it is sad that there is not enough help. With a properly run restaurant and good group of staff, this could be a great quick eats spot. It could be successful and finally stay in this building. I mean the turnover is crazy. Rooting for them. Once they get their shit together, I think this will be an Exeter favorite.
