My second day of my salad. I had a Greek salad and ate a full plate two days in a row. The lettuce is mixed baby greens and so appreciated.

We now make this our Friday night dinner weekly. We aren't alone because the place is jumping but they move fast. We call in our pizza and salad and Zoila , when we arrive it comes out. Delicious. The salads are why I am posting. The Greek salad is fantastic. I use my own dressing at home but I get TWO DAYS from the salads and they have a mix of lettuce that makes me so happy. Not a plain iceberg. They don't cheep on ingredients and IT SHOWS! Keep up the great work Badgers, we CARE.

Well, finally a great cheese steak pizza... loaded with steak not sprinkled on. Cheese and mushroom added to enhance this delicious pie. Delivery was quick and friendly. Will be back soon!

Badger's Island Pizzeria makes decent pizza and it's a cute little place. The slices seemed a little small but the fact that you can order pizza by the slice is a big plus. Toppings are fresh & my guess is that all slices start off as cheese pizza and are then made to order with whatever topping you want. My wife thought they skimped on the sauce but I didn't notice. One of the cool things about this pizzeria is the location. They're across the street from Hebert Brothers, which is one of the best local spots to pick up some seafood. Although I wasn't blown away by the pizza, it's hard to seriously judge the place based on a couple of reheated slices so I'll be back. Maybe next time I'll go for a chicken parm sub or some linguini with meatballs. And they're open for breakfast. Until 11AM, you can get the usual omelets, pancakes, french toast, etc. If you're hungry while traveling between Portsmouth and the Kittery outlet malls, you'll probably get the best deal at Badger's Island Pizza.

Excellent pizza can't wait to come here again. So much cheese and so tasty. Restaurant is kinda on the small side though.

Stop in for the excellent bargain 'lobsta' roll. Return for the pizza. These guys are a bit strange but GOOD.

Clean ,bright, upscale We were serve Foccacia that was real Foccacia .. not a bready cakey "want a be" The Caesar salad was fresh crisp and delicious The chicken parm was also delicious Pan fried cutlet ( not greasy)with a light tomato sauce Served with perfectly sautéed broccoli rabbi ... a little heat , garlic slices and nit too much oil A complimentary gelato to finish off the meal !! They did not acknowledge my wife's birthday, though it was noted in the reservation. Here's the food: Arancini - good flavor, odd shape and breading, didn't come with sauce Calamari - slightly overcooked, not that tough but wasn't soft like fresh should be, but it was crispy Caesar salad - very good Side salmon - star of the show, delicious Kids butter pasta - it was fine, the pasta was a little over cooked Flank steak - cooked perfect. I'm not convinced it was flank steak just be the texture, it was leaner than expected but delicious - closer to strip steak. The cold potato salad is an odd choice. Carbonara Pizza - it's not carbonara, it's a breakfast pizza. MAYBE they used guanciale, but it was sliced thin like bacon with a few whole strips, not chunks like you'd expect carbonara. Also had chunks of mozz on it and a poached egg or too. I personally would have made a carbonara sauce as the base and then chunked guanciale on top. A little pepper and parsley to pull it together. Honestly disappointed, carbonara is a top dish for me. Dessert menu is lacking big time. The complementary soft serve gelato was good, not great. The place is fine, I wouldn't go back.

A friend recommended this spot when I visited Portsmouth ... knowing full well that I love dive…read morebars and vintage places. I would say this qualifies as both. The pizzas are a lot more expensive than I thought an individual-sized bar pie would be ... and the pizza was honestly nothing I couldn't make at home in a toaster. However, the 70's atmosphere didn't dissapoint. The best part about this place ... other than the fantastic waitress ... was the ice cold beer. It comes in a frosted mug and is some of the coldest beer I've had on draft. The prices weren't terrible at about $5 - $7 per glass, although the glasses seemed a little small. 12 ounce maybe. The best of the pizzas we ordered was the roasted garlic pie. The garlic was sweet but also had the typical garlic taste. Hamds down, I woukd order this again. The hamburger pizza was the worst of the bunch with dry, tasteless burger crumbles on it. I was surprised to see so many good reviews about it. Everything else was just okay. Next time, I'll try one of their more intrtesting pies like the bratwurst one. A one-topping pizza was $15 - $16 and was about the size of a frozen Cape Cod pizza from the supermarket. About the size of a dinner plate and enough for one person ... probably not to share. I heard interesting things about the wings bit I am not a fan of 'heat challenges', so we skipped those after hearing another customer say they could barely finish one due to the pepper. Overall, if you want to feel like you are in the late 70's/early 80's, this is the no frills vibe you'll get. Except in the 1970's the cost of one pizza today could buy dinner for an entire sports team back then. This place gets my recommendation, especislly if you like a thinner/crisper crust and well-done cheese/toppings. Places that have been around since Gerald Ford was President are a rare thing these days, especially off the highway in a town like Portsmouth.

The outdoor seating looks gorgeous, and the indoor seating looks cozy, so I thought the food could be promising. We ordered the Mushroom Pizza and the Fig Pizza. The Mushroom Pizza was decent, but honestly not as flavorful as it looked. Just based on the mushroom pizza, I would probably give Napoletana 3 or 4 stars. However, I did not like the Fig Pizza at all. I am a sucked for unique pizza flavors, and love a dash of something sweet (Hawaiian Pizza or a Hot Honey pizza are my favorites!). This Fig Pizza was SO SWEET. There was so much jam on it that it was sweeter than candy! My brother-in-law and mother-in-law could not eat it. I think this would have been much better with fresh figs, or just a dash of jam here and there. We barely touched the fig pizza as I seemed to be the only one who could get through it. As for the service, we got takeout, so I can't speak much to that. But our pizza was ready on time and everyone seemed polite upon pickup.
