We stopped by here before we headed on our way home. We were in town for a wine pick up and wanted something quick and beer. We found this place on yelp but also had seen it on our drive and the beautiful lake they have. We were greeted and asked what seating we wanted and we went with bar. We saw a few open seats. We were attended immediately. They gave us their recommendations on the menu and beer. Restroom was clean. Plenty of parking. We will definitely come back on another visit to Temecula. She left at one point to go talk to her manager without ever even acknowledging our presence. Came here for pre dinner drinks and appetizers. We were seated outside with the view of the little water and ducks and it was beautiful. They had a board listed saying they just game nights and trivia nights. I tried the strawberry moon and pineapple ship. Both are ales and were light and had hits of the fruits! Delicious and light. Got the truffle fries, chicken nachos, and pretzel. I loved the flavor of the fries and it had a lot of truffle flavor and Parmesan. The chicken nachos were flavorful. I have always driven by OBC and noticed the large water fountain out front that always catches my eye. I finally got a chance to stop in, and I am glad I did because the food lived up to the beauty of that fountain. I ordered the burger and upgraded to the truffle fries, which were absolutely worth it. Everything was hot, fresh, and really flavorful. I also tried their hazy IPA called Lizards in the Air. It had a juicy taste that hit all the right notes for my palate. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was super friendly. Service was smooth and everything came out in good time. We love Oscar's brewing, normally. On this particular day, not too much went right. Our server was named Omar took a really long time to come over to take our order. Then we had to track him down for drink refills. It's a beautiful restaurant with wide open space, outside is overlooking the lake, gorgeous no matter where you sit. Full service bar, we adore the bartender, he's always sweet and really good at making recommendations. Today I ordered the ribeye with the fingerling potatoes a Brussels sprouts. I swapped the Brussels for a salad with ranch and exchanged the potatoes for fries. They brought me a vinaigrette salad and the fingerlings. Oops. My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken sando. He loved it even though they forgot the sauce, we had to ask for it on the side. They were out of blonde ale so he got American lager and loved it. The manager sat down with us, Joseph Johnson and was so nice and asked about our experience. We told him the truth. He was very kind and gracious. Normally we have a great experience here and highly recommend. The food is always good. Walk around the lake afterwards, it's nice. read more

A longtime friend and I met here halfway between our houses - we had lots of catching up to do. We notified our server, Amy, that we might be there awhile. So was so sweet and kind, made us laugh and told us to take our time. We will definitely be coming back, food was good too and the ambiance was great. The ambience is the best, but the Breast sticks are amazing as a child. I remember walking into a mall and them always offering a free breadstick. This was a spot. That was very Family, oriented, and catered to feeding a Family. I used to always purchase the Family meal that included a well balanced, pizza, pasta, salad, and breadsticks. The kids loved this spot. Now as an adult. I will go to Temecula just to be able to eat a breadstick and a salad. Came in with a large party of 14, and unfortunately the customer service really missed the mark. Our server barely checked on our table. There were long stretches where we had no water refills, no extra napkins, and no follow-up on our food. I personally noticed our server hanging out behind the bar and chatting with other tables, while we hadn't been checked on at all. I eventually had to ask a food runner to please grab her just so we could get basic water refills. On top of that, they forgot to bring out the Korean barbecue plate entirely. It came out about 20 minutes after everyone else's food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. Given the delay and condition, I rightfully asked for it to be comped, which they did, but it shouldn't have gotten to that point. Food-wise: The Chicken Caesar wrap was actually really good and very filling easily the highlight of the meal. The pizzas were just okay, nothing memorable. I'm disappointed because the food has potential, but service matters especially when you're hosting a large group. As a Yelp Elite, I try to be fair, and I'd consider coming back to see if the customer service improves... or possibly just sit at the bar, where service might be more attentive. read more

Decided to stop by after years of driving past it since it was no longer Pat & Oscar's. I'm so glad we did stop by because we finally realized most of our favorite items from Pat & Oscar's are still available here and they have a great craft beer selection! It's really easy to find parking as they do have a massive lot. Since their restaurant is large, it's pretty easy to walk in and be seated, just some weekends are busier than others so be prepared to wait nonetheless. I eagerly looked over the menu as soon as we were seated and I was so pleasantly surprised to find Pat's Lemon Chicken on the menu and it came with a side salad and two breadsticks. A dream come true! I was even able to choose the Greek salad dressing for my side salad which was another one of my lifetime favorites. My food tasted exactly as expected and how I remembered. I couldn't ask for more, and I'm so excited to have OBC as a staple when we are in Temecula. read more

My friends and I were in Temecula celebrating one of our friend's birthdays for the weekend. She had this place bookmarked to try so we came here for a late night bite. I can only speak to what I ate (Maitake Mushroom Pizza & Hard Seltzer Flight). I didn't realize how big the pizza was going to be but it's okay we had leftovers for the next day! I enjoyed my pizza (10/10), quite flavorful and had the right balance of everything. So glad I ordered the pizza because it paired well with my flight. The Hard Seltzer flight came with four 5oz pours of Mango Vanilla, Dragonfruit Strawberry, Agave Lime & Guava Peach (no substitutes). I enjoyed each one! My favorite was the Dragonfruit Strawberry! (10/10) Service was pretty quick, they also were closing the kitchen soon so we had to order quick. And overall the vibe is like any brewhouse: lively! There's a good amount of parking and I would love to come back when it's daylight to enjoy the outdoor patio with a view of the park. read more

We didn't have reservations, so we waited for 15 minutes for a table, and didn't realize how big this place is until we walked through the whole thing to get to our table. Service was a little shaky. Our server was also training someone, and they started strong, but we never saw them again, and had trouble flagging someone else down. The food was good, and the portions were HUGE. Overall, we liked what we ordered. The Thai Tea was probably the best Thai Tea any of us has ever had. I don't know if they make it fresh or if it's a premix, but it's good. Oscar Brewing Company absolutely crushed it. Drew was hands down one of the funniest bartenders I've ever met -- nonstop laughs the entire time we were there. He gave killer recommendations on both the food and drinks, and every single one hit. Great beer, great atmosphere, and even better service. You can tell the staff actually enjoys what they do, and it makes the whole experience way better. We came for a couple drinks and ended up staying way longer because the vibe was so good. This place is great for a group up to 6 people, anything more than that and it can take a long time to get seated, but at least there's a bar that doubles as a waiting room! The most recent time I went with my boyfriend to meet a few friends, and our service was horrible. Our server only got our drinks and our appetizers ordered and then he never came back. He was helping other tables so he didn't go on break, but he just never came back to our table. We had to flag down different servers to get our friends drink orders in and to place our food order. We ended up having to get our food to go because we were going to miss our movie. We spent most of our time waiting for our server to come back. We usually like to go here because it's very nice inside and it's a good spot for a drink and a quick bite to eat. Took forever to be seated, as we sat and watched tons of people walking out. Once finally seated our order was taken fairly quick and then we were back to waiting as it took quite a while for our drinks to arrive one of which was finally brought out just seconds before our food arrived. The food was not spectacular although the chicken nachos had decent flavor they did not look good, the large dollop of guacamole on the top looked like it had spent time under a heat lamp, the atmosphere was ok as long as you were nowhere near the bar as what sporting event that was on the TV was getting very loud and obnoxious shouts from the people watching. Although I don't have a picture we also ordered the poblano burger which was the first time ever we received poblano with the skin still on, was not edible had to peel as much as possible just to make it edible. The skin on was pointed out to a manager walking by and we were told that is how the chef wants it served, but thanks for the feedback. No offer of a discount or anything to make it better just thanks for the feedback, so fair warning if you don't like skins on your poblano then don't get the poblano burger. Unfortunately, the pretzel was overwhelmingly salty and not enjoyable. The real highlight for me was the focaccia and hummus, which was definitely well done. Stopped in passing through town to see if they still had a stout from a few years ago but it was long gone. To my delight, the current stout Sleeping Swine is a fantastic replacement. We came on a Friday night and asked for a booth. The hostess who checked us in was very nice, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience went downhill. Our server, was Andrew, and he was not very good. I ordered a raspberry iced tea, which they didn't have, so he recommended their mango passion tea. It was unsweetened and not good. When I mentioned that I didn't realize it was unsweetened, he didn't apologize or say anything, even though he was the one who recommended it. He simply ignored my comment. That should have been our cue to leave as it went further downhill from there. We started with breadsticks. I liked them, but my boyfriend didn't. For dinner, I ordered the wagyu burger and truffle fries, and my boyfriend ordered the tri tip. The food was terrible. The margarita flight was the only thing we enjoyed. And I was worried about the drinks because after we put in our order, the table next to us sent their drinks back and complained. When Andrew asked how everything was, I said it was "okay." He pushed me to explain, saying he doesn't like "okay service." So I told him: the truffle fries tasted burnt, my burger came medium rare instead of medium well, and the tri tip was medium when my boyfriend asked for well done. He responded with, "I can get my manager." I said no, I don't send food back. He then said, "Well, you can't send food back when you ate it." That comment was uncalled for. I barely touched the fries (it only takes one fry to determine they are overcooked), and my boyfriend won't eat undercooked meat. He then said the manager could "probably give you a discount." A discount? A discount??? That's not why I was sharing feedback. I pay for what I order, good or bad, and I was not asking for anything free. All I wanted was a decent meal. I never asked or insinuated for a discount and I don't need one. I simply won't come back if the food / service is this bad and leave a review based on the food and service. That comment made the experience even worse. I was not even going to leave a review, but the service and attitude pushed me to. Even with the poor service, I still tipped (I regret I did). But between the bad food and the disrespectful service, this place is a one-and-done for us. We definitely will not be back. read more

Eating at Oscar's Brewing Company was another reminder that white privilege is still present in all aspects of life. I am Asian, and my family and I went to dine here for dinner around 7:45 pm. The restaurant closes at 9, and the last call was 8:30. We sat down and placed our order at 8, but at around 8:35, I realized that I didn't get to look at the dessert menu. The food took such a long time that I honestly lost track of time. On top of that, our waitress did not come by to ask us if we wanted to order anything else before last call. I ended up looking at the clock on my phone, which made me realize that the time for last call had passed. I saw the hostess walking by us, so I stopped her and asked if we could still place an order for dessert. She told me that since it was past the time for last call, we could not place our order. Not even 5 minutes later, at around 8:38, I saw our waitress taking the order of a white elderly couple who had just sat down. Not only was it even later past last call, they were placing orders for their entire meal, not just dessert. Since I did not see it myself, I can not confirm with 100% certainty that the hostess who told us we couldn't order desert was also the person that sat the white couple, but considering the timing of her being by our area right around that time and the fact that she seemed to be the one seating everyone else, I find it highly likely. I called over our waitress and asked her instead if we could place a dessert order, and she replied by saying that seeing as she just took the other table's order, she could quickly get it in if we wanted to. Even her reply seemed as if she was reluctant to do so or only allowing us to because we saw that the other table was able to place an order. Ultimately, we decided not to order dessert, but the fact that this happened is ridiculous. I'm not sure if that couple knew someone at the restaurant, and that's why they got special privileges, but for the hostess to tell us that we couldn't order dessert because of last call when there is another table about to order their entire meal after us is absurd. I cannot think of any reason why they would be allowed to order their whole meal after last call while we couldn't add a dessert other than unequal treatment and privilege on their part, whether that be privilege due to someone they know or the fact that they're white, and we aren't. I didn't say anything at the time since our waitress was still nice enough, and we simply wanted to finish our meal and go, but I know that I absolutely will not be going back to support this business. Regardless of whether it was because of a single employee or if this is something that the restaurant does on a regular basis, I do not want to give my business to an establishment that would not treat their customers equally for any reason. On a final note, the food was nothing to rave about, especially with the inflated prices. The only thing that was very positive was the outdoor patio overlooking the pond. read more

What a beautiful spacious place to go meet friends & family. They also have lots of seatings on the patio that overlooks the duck lake. You can take a nice stroll around the lake after eating. This place gives me back memories when they were just plain old 'Oscar's' back in the day growing up. We used to just get chicken & salad & mainly come for the breadsticks. Not sure what used to be on the menu cuz that's all we ate. lol. We of course had to order the roasted chicken & breadsticks. So flavorful, almost borderline salty. But I wouldn't change a thing, it was fall off the bone delicious. The Asian inside of me made me we wish I brought rice. The breadstick is still the same. So buttery & i love dipping it in the Italian sauce like I used to when I was younger. My husband LOVED his tri tip steak plate with the roasted carrots, garlicky mashed potatoes, & side greens. He was also going crazy over my fall off the bone chicken & kept saying 'delicious' throughout the whole meal. They do have craft beers. The pineapple beer went well with everything. Sorta like a blue moon but better. We also ordered the chicken nachos. I thought that was just ok. The queso on it wasn't that great, but my hubby loved it. Wish they chose a saltier & more flavorful cheese, but I did enjoy the slight tangy sauce they drizzled on there. Service was perfect.
