We had a bday reservation for crush & brew and here's my suggestions vs negativity. Check what entertainment will be going on we were limited to talking through dinner because it was so loud. Make sure that you have that understanding with your waiter/waitress that your food is running on time because we were a party of 5 and it took like 30 minutes minimum to receive our food...now I know what you're saying it's a weekend night pack your patience but however we watched a table of 9 who came after us receive the food and pay the tab and go by the time we received our meal. The food and drinks were amazing and the mgr was very apologetic but at that point there wasn't a whole lot he could do for us for we were already going to be paying and calling it a night, we just wanted to make him aware of the situation! We made a Mother's Day reservation expecting a nice family meal and had one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. The restaurant was nearly empty -- maybe 3 tables occupied -- yet it took over an hour for the first plate to arrive, and it was cold. Then another cold plate. Then another. By the time the remaining meals came out, also cold, everyone was frustrated and honestly just over it. Instead of trying to fix the situation, staff asked if we wanted boxes while we were still sitting there clearly unhappy and barely served. The final straw was my father-in-law saying, "I'll just eat my burger, I'm starving." The manager brought it out already boxed and bagged. He had specifically requested no lettuce. When he mentioned it, she confidently replied, "Sir, that burger doesn't even come with lettuce." We opened the bun. Full lettuce. The expression on her face said it all. You're getting 2 stars because of the delightful young lady who helped us. Rod Run weekend, it was shockingly dead inside. We got a couple drinks and sat outside to people watch. We both ordered a snack, Abominable Fries (a bistro take on animal fries.... Everybody loves a good fry. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with the manager, Aaron, was disappointing. I came in with a concern and expected a professional conversation, but instead I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude. Rather than listening and trying to understand the situation, Aaron seemed more interested in being argumentative than providing customer service. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, but there's no reason for a manager to speak to customers in a disrespectful manner. A manager should set the standard for professionalism, and unfortunately that was not my experience. My son didn't like his Mac n cheese & said it was bland. My fish n chips was so small & overcooked. I only got 1 fish & my whole dinner consisted of mostly just fries. The fries was good tho. I stopped in last night to grab a cocktail. I had wanted to do the trivia night but I came too late and missed it. I'll have to come back another day. I love that they have Christmas decorations this year. There wasn't too many people inside, but I did come later in the evening close to closing time. We went to Crush & Brew for dinner during a Bachelorette weekend, and overall had a good time! Our server did a great job keeping up with our group of 12, which isn't easy. The restaurant was pretty full and seemed like a local spot, which gave it a fun, lively vibe. It happened to be karaoke night--maybe it's every night? Either way, it was entertaining, even though most people seemed to be picking really depressing songs. Not Crush & Brew's fault, just an observation. Food-wise, we mostly enjoyed everything, though there were a few misses within our group. I personally loved the fried zucchini--freshly made, crispy, and a generous portion. The bacon fries were also solid and came in a good size. My caprese salad was the last dish to come out, and while it was fine, it definitely needed some salt and pepper. I was traveling home and decided to take a walk to stretch my legs in Downtown Temecula. For it being a Sunday it was so busy and crowded with folks, seeming to do the same. After my walk I decided to grab a bite to eat before making my way home, so i stopped at Crush & Brew. The featured foods were along the lines of California Cuisine - fresh and quick. The menu had a brunch side, which had me curious about the fried rice with pork belly. Instead I opted for something a bit lighter: caprese salad and wings. The staff was very accommodating and offered me their favorite way of ordering wings - which worked out nicely. The wings came well seasoned and prepared as I requested: extra crispy. Our drinks were really good. The bartender really knows what they are doing behind that bar. I would've loved to sit at the bar and just ask the bartender to make their specialties. We also had Vinegar and salt fries. They had to be one of the best fries is not the best fries I've ever had. Definitely recommend the fries. They have a few different options. I highly recommend the giant Pretzel also. It was pretty much a perfect pretzel. They obviously care about quality at this establishment. I would like to try more things here but I tried to wave down the waitress for about 30min. She would even look my way with my hand raised. She would even check in the table next to us face my direction with my hand raised and she would just walk by even if we made eye contact. We weren't rude or loud or anything. We were very courteous so we couldn't figure out why she was like that way with us. We felt we could've walked out without paying our bill but we are too honest to do that. But, fortunately hubs grabbed my jacket from the car before coming in and server, Ari assured us that it wouldn't be a problem due to a short time lapse between ticket and our validation. While spending the day in Temecula yesterday my wife and I learned of Thomson & Twin which is a speakeasy that we thought was new but has apparently been here for a while now. It's located right inside Crush & Brew which I've been to several times, but never knew they had a speakeasy. While waiting for our turn to enter, we were given a couple tickets for 10% off at C&B's bar, so we made our way over to it and were immediately greeted by Joey. Joey got me started on an old fashioned and prepared a bespoke drink for my wife which I believe had mezcal and bourbon both of which are her favorite spirits. The drinks were perfectly crafted and combined great spirits with flavors. After finishing our first round we asked for something else creative and kind of left it up to him to make us what he wanted. He then prepared a very refreshing tequila drink for her and a slightly different one for me which had flavors of cucumber and was all around a very refreshing drink. We even got to sample a little bit of his version of an espresso martini which was quite delicious and could definitely get you in trouble if you're not careful due to how great it was. We had a great time at Crush & Brew while waiting to get in to Thompson & Twain and Joey made sure that everyone at his bar was getting taken care of. First off because it is Mother's Day I expected a wait... however , our reservation was at 11 am, there were 6 off us the restaurant was empty I mean empty except two other tables. We ordered the pretzel appetizer, it took 30 minutes to get and the cheese dip was was cold, first sign of trouble. We all ordered our meals, after 50 minutes now 12:15 we asked where our food was and were told it was being plated... another 5 minutes goes by and they brought out one plate chicken tenders and fries ICE COLD.... AFTER 20 more minutes 2 more plates came out all ice cold, finally we asked to speak to a ,manager as this was ridiculous and we were hungry and upset.... The manager excuse was they were working with a CRAFT KITCHEN ..... like what ? Bottom line we never got the remaining meals and told the manager this was unacceptable service for the prices they were charging... other patrons were complaining as well so it was not just W We were in this restaurant from 11:00 AM UNTIL 1:15 pm and never received all our food. Manager apologized and we did not pay for the few items we received..... The beers were OK, and the food was just OK. My friend enjoyed her mocktail. The server was attentive, and checked on us often. I would probably get a cocktail next time. For the food, specifically we ordered the pork belly fries, and they were definitely undercooked and had very little pork belly on them. The fish and chips had a really nice breading, but overall the flavor of the fish was pretty bland even with tartar sauce. The real saving grace of this place was the speakeasy located inside. This place has really changed. It's been about 8 years since I've been to this location. And wow, it doesn't even seem like the same place! It's wild. It used to be more of a restaurant. Now it's set up more like a bar. The chairs are all uncomfortable stools. With exception to a few normal chairs inside. My butt was hurting after the first 30 minutes. I guess they don't want people to stay long? The food was decent. Nothing spectacular. I really enjoyed the charcuterie board with cheese and fruit. I do wish it had more bread with it for the cheese. The French fries were yummy. Our party also ordered flatbread pizza and cauliflower wings. The food is alright. My friends had some wine. Crush and Brew absolutely knocked it out of the park! We had a very large party of 30+ people to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we walked in, Erinn was there to help us set up the dessert bar and make sure all of our needs were met. Maddie was our server for the evening and was so accommodating! She checked on us frequently, kept up with the demand of our group and her other tables- all with the most pleasant disposition. The food was served promptly and was delicious.
