Beautiful rooftop restaurant. Food was very good. Service was good as well. Go for cocktails/mixed drinks/beer - don't go for a glass of wine. Their wine list is terrible, which is pretty hard to do in California. FOLKS - redo your wine list! read more

Looooved the food! It's such a beautiful rooftop with amazing views! My bf and I enjoyed our dinner date Great service as well.

Sunday brunch with friend at this cute rooftop restaurant. The patio is small but with gorgeous view of the Pasadena mountains. We were impressed with the food quality. We ordered burrata salad, tuna tartare, grilled swordfish and the strawberry cheesecake. They were all super delicious! Our waitress is very friendly and attentive but the other waiter took the umbrella from our table left us fully exposed under the sun without even asked us if that's ok with us. When we asked the receptionist for the help, she gave us the attitude, told us the guests from the other table requested the umbrella and they don't have more umbrella for our table. The whole situation just showed unprofessional management and the poor customer service. Valet parking is inside a little ally on the Madison street and it's a bit hard to find. read more

A Beautiful New Gem With Incredible Views and Creative Cuisine This restaurant is truly a lovely find. The first thing you notice is the outstanding view, followed by the beautiful presentation of every dish. The staff is gracious and attentive--occasionally a bit slow--but always thoughtful, courteous, and genuinely intent on making sure guests feel well cared for. The ambience is spectacular: elegant without being pretentious, warm without being noisy, and designed to make you want to linger. The menu is full of unusual yet creative Cuban-influenced and Asian-inspired dishes that feel fresh and exciting. We enjoyed the tostones with guacamole and black bean--crisp, flavorful, and wonderfully balanced. The salmon crudo was excellent, bright, and delicate. The olive stuffed with spicy cream cheese was a fun and surprising bite, and the classic Vesper cocktail was absolutely on point. After dinner, the manager, Vincent, stopped by. He was deeply attentive, receptive to compliments as well as small suggestions, and genuinely committed to making sure every detail was right. With the restaurant being only four months old, it's understandable that a few systems are still finding their rhythm--but with leadership like his, it's easy to see this place becoming a standout destination. In short: beautiful views, creative food, and heartfelt service. A wonderful experience, and absolutely worth a visit. read more

Came here for dinner on a semi-cloudy day and the view was still gorgeous. They made us wait ~10-15 minutes even though we had a reservation. The ambiance is pretty cool, it's a very outdoor and open space with an elevated, modern energy. It would be nice if they had a host downstairs to greet you since you just wander down this hallway until you get to the elevator at the back of the building. There is a pretty very view of Pasadena city hall and we were able to watch flocks of Pasadena parrots fly around. Drinks were good, but the food menu was very small. It felt oddly limited, so hoping they expand it. The appetizers of Brussel sprouts, charcuterie board, and tostones. They were all delicious. Our entree, the steak was pretty mediocre and fully cooked through despite asking for medium well. I wouldn't recommend this place for a hearty dinner, but it's good for drinks, small apps, and aesthetic pics. They have a lot of potential though! read more

Had a reservation for Saturday afternoon. While the restaurant wasn't busy, it still took about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us or took our order. It was another 20 minutes before our drinks and appetizer arrived, and no one checked in on us during the meal. I wanted to order another Berry Root but couldn't flag anyone down. The space itself is lovely -- great decor, plenty of natural light, and beautiful views. But unfortunately, the service just didn't live up to the setting. Food-wise, it was okay. My steak frites clearly had been sitting out for a bit and was served at room temperature. Disappointing, especially given how quiet the restaurant was. read more

Came here for a party and was so pleasantly surprised. Drinks were on point and food was delicious! We were very lucky that night to be treated to a tuna carving and grill station. Not the normal food fare but still a great preview of what to expect. Space as beautiful with cozy seating all around the patio and overall great space for a party! Golden Hour was delightful with the beautiful light, this is a pace I would happily visit again! read more

The ambience is great especially if you are there for a date. Food was alright. Drinks are more expensive than food. Service was horrible! They're non-attentive at all. Some of them seem like they hate their job. We ordered steak and it took about 45 mins to come out. No waiter came out to check on us. We saw someone walked by from the kitchen and asked about our food. She stated because our steaks were MEDIUM WELL DONE THAT'S WHY IT TAKES SO LONG TO MAKE. Yeah right just be honest and say you FORGOT OUR MEALS!! Not to mention she had a nasty attitude when I asked too. Right after that interaction, some guy brought our food out. The steak was cold!!! They also forgot our sauce!! So it proved my point. There was a solo diner next to us. He ordered a burger and they brought it out within 5 mins, then after that they disappeared on him as well. He ordered a drink and it never came. He got fed up and asked for the check. Right after he paid he mentioned about his drink. They apologized and brought it out right away. I know this place is new and still needs improvement. If They dont reevaluate their staffs, sorry it won't last long. read more

Over priced and under flavored, the portions are small and it's not really worth it. You'll have to go out to eat afterwards so make 2 reservations just in case. Service is mid; and not much of ambiance to be honest. Kind of boring read more

My experience at OSA Rooftop was so upsetting that I feel I need to share it. During what was supposed to be a special evening out with my boyfriend and his parents, our server's behavior completely ruined the night and ultimately hurt my relationship. The server openly flirted with my boyfriend in front of me and his family, even going so far as to try to give him his personal phone number and Instagram handle. It was incredibly inappropriate and disrespectful. To make matters worse, he deliberately spoke to me in Spanish, knowing I don't speak the language, and made mocking comments--including calling me "hangry" when our food took over an hour to arrive. This name calling occurred more than once and when confronted, the waiter said that's how he "jokes with people." It is not my intention as a customer of a restaurant to be insulted by someone I've never met, let alone restaurant staff. Instead of professionalism, we were met with rudeness and behavior that crossed the line. This experience left me embarrassed, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. A night that should have been fun and memorable turned into something I'll never forget for the wrong reasons. OSA Rooftop may have a nice setting, but no atmosphere can make up for staff who treat guests this way. I hope management takes this seriously so no one else has to go through what I did. read more

Osa is just what Pasadena needed!! It's super cute and trendy. I stopped by on a Friday night around 7 and it was packed!! We were lucky enough to snag seats at the bar, but I definitely recommend making reservations. I had a watermelon mint margarita and it was so refreshing. The ambiance was spot on and the rooftop views of the city really elevated the whole experience. I am already planning my next visit -- this time with a reservation for dinner. read more

Great food, service and ambiance. I love the peek a book view - rooftop with heat lamps.

Great service by Trevor- he gets 5 stars!! We had a fantastic small meal with delicious drinks. The minus one star was the FLIES ‍ I get it, it's an alfresco restaurant in the summer... but I eat alfresco every week and I have never been assaulted the way I was last night... did I mention we were INDOORS? I'm not the only reviewer to point this out, which is why we were fine sitting indoors. OSA needs to do something about the seeming infestation. Also, I have to remove another star... ANSWER YOUR PHONE. Your AI bot is one of the most annoying calls I have ever made to a restaurant. You will not speak to human no matter how many times you try and their AI cannot answer basic questions. read more

Came here with a group of friends after hearing that Pasadena has a new rooftop bar restaurant. From pictures, it seemed promising with great atmosphere and a nice view of Pasadena. We were all excited to check it out! I'm not sure if it was because this place is fairly new, but this restaurant definitely needs a lot more improvements. Menus were given to us upon being seated and the first thing we all noticed was that every single menu did not have the same exact number of pages. Some menus had the full menu including food and cocktails, while some had missing pages and there was even one that was completely blank inside! Not to mention, there were some typos. I wanted to have a glass of Rose wine and saw that the two different ones offered had the same exact description. I decided to ask the waiter, inquiring the difference between the two wines. Instead of providing an answer that was somewhat reasonable, the waiter read the menu, and just said that each of the Rose was just from a different region of California, which was obviously already written on the menu. It's alright if he didn't know the different tasting notes of the wines. I didn't expect him to know every single drink on the menu, however, he could've been more professional about it and maybe offer to ask the bartender or someone who is more well versed rather than giving me an excuse saying "honestly, we just opened and I just started working here". Waters weren't poured out for all of us consistently, and all our drinks came out at different times. He took our drink order but messed up who ordered what and seemed like he just randomly guessedwho ordered what by putting it down in front of us. Overall it took 20+ minutes for all our drinks to come out. What was even worse was that my friend ordered a white wine and tell me why our waiter didn't tell us that they were out of all white wines until 15 minutes later, when all of our drinks came out. Her new drink order was even forgotten until we had to check in with the waiter AGAIN when our food came out. Food was alright overall. We got the steak and frites and tuna tartar. Overpriced priced for the quality of food and honestly, after waiting so long for everything to come out and our waiters lack of attention, we simply weren't in the mood to enjoy the rest of our time here. All in all, there needs to be major improvements to be made and better organization management across staff and inventory checks. I'm all for hiring new staff and can understand this is a new place, but please train your staff so they maybe they can give better responses to the guests. "We just opened and I'm new here" just doesn't cut it. Also they really lack the attention to guests and the entirety of what is being served at this restaurant. It'll also help if the menus can be proofread and reprinted so that all menus are exactly the same, especially if they are all going to be nicely put in a leather printed menu cover. Although the aesthetic was there, the detail and quality service was very, very lacking. We probably won't be back for a while until maybe things have changed up a bit. read more

The food is exquisite, and the drinks will have you wanting more! Perfectly curated menu for even the snobbiest pallet! I was able to go during golden hour, and the views are amazing. I must say! The bartenders were so nice and had some great recommendations as well! Definitely worth going too! read more

I was invited to a friend's birthday dinner and a group of about 15 people were going to get together. BEWARE of their hidden fees that they don't tell you about in this noisy restaurant. When I ordered my meal I was not told that truffle fries were not part of my steak and fries dinner and was charged extra. Also, they charged an additional $150 for what they call a Group charge plus $20 for cutting the cake even though we supplied the cake and plates. And that did not include the mandatory tip added for groups. And aside from all of this, my truffle fries were served cold as they were probably waiting for everyone's meals to be ready before bringing them out. The best thing about this place is the view - which they haven't starting charging for yet - unless the tables with the best views are charged unbeknownst to me, as we did not occupy any of those tables. Good appetizers if you want to pay the price. read more

Come for the view and drinks, skip everything else The rooftop view is stunning and the drinks are good - that's about where the positives end. Our server got pulled to bartend mid-service and basically vanished. Not ideal when you've got a babysitter on the clock. The peach broccolini burrata salad was a mess - weird presentation, hard to eat, and the burrata tasted off. My steak was aggressively salty (and I salt everything), and my fries came out like chips while my wife's were normal. Bottom line: Great spot for a drink with a view. Don't bother with the food. read more

I went on a sunday 3/8/26 and sat on a small table next to a window since that was the only table available (reservation is required). Food was great, our server was great. Vibe was great. However, I left my sunglasses there, realized it a couple weeks later so I sent a yelp message, no response still, sent an email since thats what the automated system suggested but no response, and I called the number and left a message but still no response. If the place was down the street from my house I would've went in person but I live an hour away. So please if someone could check if they found a "gentle monster" sunglasses in a white pouch that would be appreciated as I am 100% sure i left it there. Ill revise the review then. read more

I come here pretty often and I have always enjoyed the atmosphere. During the summer you have a nice view of downtown Pasadena, great cocktails and the food is delicious. The manager was very personable; he introduced himself before and made light conversation on his endeavors to make OSA the best rooftop experience in Pasadena. We did get a complimentary dessert and that was delightful-many restaurants don't do this very often unless they royally made a mistake. Great place for a date night or even just a girl dinner. read more

Felt my waiter didn't care to serve me that energy was evident. Maybe due to me being African American. Not many options to choose from on the menu. Ambiance very nice. Not worth the trip. Terrible experience won't be back read more

The food and service at OSA was excellent! We came in with a 8:00 reservation and were sat right as we walked in. Ambiance was nice, the place was packed and very lively. All of the food was amazing but the steak could use a little more work in my opinion. The drinks were fantastic and the vibes overall were very pleasant. The one thing I could say is that the menus were torn up and the pages were falling out of the booklet, our waitress went to bring another one but brought back what seemed like the same loose menu. Those menus need to be fixed as soon as possible as it kind of throws off the first impression. But all things considered I will def be back for another visit! read more

Checked out this new rooftop restaurant / bar in the AC Hotel in Pasadena. Today was their official opening day but was open a few weeks before for a soft opening. The decor and space is really nicely payed out for the small space. We made a reservation but were seated inside by the bar. We requested to get a better seat outside in the rooftop and was able to be accommodated by the manager. Both of our servers were lovely and made great suggestions. We tried the Fried Queso Fundido, OSA Burger and the Roasted Chicken. The Burger was perfection but the Chicken was all over the place. It included gravy, some kind of sweet sour sauce, tortillas and a celery salad with no dressing. Would not recommend, the kitchen staff faced some miscommunication but we didn't get out appetizer until after the meal. Brenda was amazing and took care of the Fried Queso Fundido, tried them at home and do not recommend them as well. The chorizo was more like a ground beef and the fried spheres are mostly filled with rice and none of the queso or poblano as stated on the menu. They did have a seasonal menu but did not get to explore. The atmosphere was nice a bit noisy as the tables are very closely to one another but the view and the breeze was great. read more

My husband and I tried Oso last night. The rooftop setting is charming at first glance, but the space is very tight--narrow, crowded, and a bit overwhelming. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the atmosphere. We started with the spiced nuts, which were served oddly in a martini glass. They were sticky, clumped together, and difficult to eat without a fork. The honey coating overpowered the light spice, leaving them more messy than enjoyable. The meatballs, a mix of pork and beef, were disappointing as well--dry, unevenly mixed, and not very flavorful. For our main, we ordered the steak and fries. The steak was cooked to medium, which was fine, and the fries were decent--hard to go wrong there. The cocktail I tried, an Aperol Spritz, was refreshing, but when we ordered wine from the menu, we were told it wasn't available and had to choose something else. Overall, I'd give the experience a 2 out of 10. The rooftop ambiance can't make up for the mediocre food and tight, crowded setting. Not a place I'd return to. read more

I'll start by saying that the food here is just not good and not worth your time. Maybe the drinks are better, but I wouldn't know. The view is just OK, nothing spectacular, and the service could be better. We started off with the Peach Burrata Salad, something we thought might be light and refreshing. What we got was undercooked broccolini with unripe peaches, covered with chimichurri sauce and some burrata. Could not finish, did not want to finish. We then received the salmon crudo, which tasted fine. Unfortunately there was only 3 pieces of avocado to our 4 pieces of salmon, I guess we just had to make do. When I checked pictures from other peoples crudos posted to yelp, they had 6+ pieces of salmon, so now we feel kind of ripped off. We also got the chicken tacos and burger, in which we might as well went to a local taco stand or in and out and gotten much tastier food for much less money. Maybe drinks are the way to go, but just skip the food unless you are starving. read more

Colin was amazing the best .. had the best experience with him he made our experience so much better here. Definitely recommend coming here

This place had really nice views and super cute vibes inside. The staff were super nice, our server Jordan was really helpful and friendly. We got the tuna tartare which was a 10/10, super fresh and great balance with the avocado and fried onions. Lost a star for the drinks, overpriced and the margarita was literally just sour mix. Will come back for the tuna tartare! read more

Osa Rooftop is such a hidden gem in Pasadena! The ambiance is gorgeous with unbeatable views of the San Gabriel Mountains. We started with their mocktails (so refreshing!) and shared a few small plates, highly recommend the tuna tartare, wagyu meatballs, and tostones.
