Had a great time at OSA Rooftop at the AC Hotel! The Mountain View's were beautiful. Ambient music=vibey. Food 8/10. I had the artichoke dip and chips, the Osa burger, the salmon crudo, and the Caesar salad. Absolutely recommend the salmon crudo and artichoke dip. All dishes were WELL seasoned. Service was extremely quick and attentive. Morgan's friendly and welcoming personality made the evening exceptional. Whole experience 10 out of 10 definitely recommend. read more

Terrible experience. My husband and I live nearby and had this place on our list as a potential spot to bring friends when they're visiting from out of town. We stopped by around 6 PM on a Sunday after seeing a movie across the street. The host told us the only available seating was indoors or at a long communal outdoor table that didn't even have chairs set up--despite the restaurant being about 70% empty. We chose the outdoor option, and the host had to go into one of the adjoining conference rooms to grab chairs for us. So there we were, sitting awkwardly at the corner of this random long table in two mismatched conference room chairs, while all the regular two-top and four-top tables around us sat completely empty. It just felt strange and honestly unwelcoming. My husband even joked, "Is this a Great White thing?" because it made no sense. We felt like this was a joke. I checked their reservations to see if maybe they were expecting a huge rush, but there were plenty of open reservations available. At that point, we decided to leave. It wasn't worth the hassle, and I didn't want to spend money at a place that made us feel like they didn't want us there. read more

Osa Rooftop - So many reservations but told they didn't have space and could only fit us on long table with 2 chairs from hotel meeting room. - Bars Near Me - Pasadena, California

If I could put zero stars, I would. After waiting for 30 minutes and asking for a waiter to come take our order and bring water, we still receive no service. Had the restaurant been busy or completely booked, I may have understood. The menu looked good, but unfortunately, due to my experience, I don't think I will ever go back or recommend this restaurant. read more

The rooftop itself is beautiful, with incredible views of Pasadena and such a fun atmosphere for a date night or girls lunch. The service was friendly and attentive, and every dish we ordered was delicious. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the lobster roll was buttery and the steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Between the food, the ambiance, and the views, it was one of my favorite dining experiences in Pasadena. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great rooftop restaurant. read more

I recently planned an after-work get-together and decided on this venue. I started the planning process about a week out, and the communication with Chris was great. I really appreciated his politeness and how he answered all of my questions, which made the entire process so much easier. The rooftop bar is exquisite. The views are stunning, and the overall flow of the space really works. What really stood out was the attention to detail. While the food is undoubtedly great, the cocktails are on another level. I'm a sucker for a well-made drink, and these were absolutely phenomenal. I can't wait to go back read more

Disappointing experience from beginning to end, a bummer because we were very excited to try! i'll typically give a restaurant a second chance, and I thought the restaurant opened in 2026, but knowing it's been open for a year solidifies we won't be back. Mind you, this was a Wednesday night where they had available reservations every 15 minutes, and the restaurant was never even at half capacity. Seating: Their reservation slots should be split to Outdoor or Bar options since the bar seating is stools + two top tables. Based on all of the videos I've seen of Osa, I was expecting to be seated at an outdoor table (or at least a chair with a back?) since there weren't indoor or bar sections listed on Open Table. Not really into eating a $120 meal at a table that can't fit your food. Service: Our waitress was extremely nice and I believe this to be an operations issue, not her fault, but the service was actually the worst I've experienced in a long time.....maybe ever? We were brought waters soon after being seated, then crickets. After 30 minutes (not exaggerating) I had to physically go ask someone if we could be assigned a server. We were going to get cocktails but opted for wine so we wouldn't have to continue to wait. Our appetizers still came out before our wine. Food: The food ranged to unmemorable to memorable in a bad way. - Meatballs: good, but can anything be bad when drowned in vodka sauce? - Burger: flavor was great, but it completely falls apart in your hands while eating it. - Carpaccio: near inedible. I love carpaccio and am not picky - never had one I didn't enjoy! Tasted like Lunchables version of carpaccio - weirdly thick, overwhelming acid (tasted like bottled lemon juice?), and the "potato chips" where chewy with no crisp. A very rare scenario where I didn't finish my portion of an appetizer. I've had better service and food at bars, and for a fraction of the price. read more

Tony was a great waiter from the moment we sat down. Great service! Definitely will come back!

Service was amazing. The table was amazing. unfortunately, the food was mediocre. I really wanted to love my experience here, but unfortunately the food took away from the cool atmosphere. The drinks were OK, but they were nothing special. I think this is a really cool place to come hang out with your date or a group of friends for drinks. I would go somewhere else for food. read more

An amazing spot with great view. Our waitress Anna, was THE BEST. She made our night and honestly would rather have no one else. The gentleman at the host stand was also great. Their energy defines the restaurants vibes. We had such a great time and everyone was so helpful. I initially saw tableside grilling and oysters on Instagram, which made me come check this place out. I was disappointed to see how little their menu was and didn't offer whatever I saw on Instagram. They do have a very interesting but short cocktail list. I would've liked to see more options. That said, the food was great! The ahi tuna and marinated olives were my favorite! read more

The view here is beautiful and the atmosphere has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. Despite the great setting, the staff was inattentive, slow, and unhelpful, which completely ruined the experience. It's a shame because the location deserves better, but the terrible service makes it hard to recommend coming back. SAID WHAT THE PRICE OF THE BILL WAS OUT LOUD... I found that very inappropriate. We had a reservation at 4:00 PM for a party of three but arrived around 4:30 PM. Fortunately, we found street parking nearby--though it's unclear what other parking options are available. The host was delightful--high energy and happy to chat. We were seated within a couple of minutes, and our server, Jordan, came by within five minutes. The menu offered lots of appealing options, and service started out strong. I also appreciated the cactus cooler, a fun and refreshing drink choice. Food Highlights: Hand-Pressed Tostones with Guac: Absolutely amazing--crispy, fresh, and paired perfectly with the guacamole. Spicy Black Bean Dip: Underwhelming. It mostly just tasted like refried beans with minimal spice. Roasted Beets with Whipped Goat Cheese: A standout dish. The beets were smooth and flavorful without the overpowering earthiness you sometimes get. The whipped goat cheese was a showstopper. Service Note: As the evening went on, service started to decline--likely due to an increase in guests. Water refills became inconsistent, and empty dishes sat on the table longer than they should have. After requesting the check, it took about 20 minutes to close out, which was a disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable meal. read more

Osa had a beautiful ambiance. Great for a date night or a night out with friends. If you want romance, definitely opt in for the lookout seats near the balcony. I had steak frites. Delicious with the chimichurri. I was sad, though, because they took our plates to box our food to go and when I got home, I realized they must have tossed the rest of my steak instead of boxing it. My boyfriend's burger was red for a well-done request since his stomach is sensitive but he enjoyed anyway. Lemon drop was so delicious and strong ;) You absolutely should check it out if you're ever in Pasadena. read more

Food and views were okay not the best but the our waitress was very kind. I don't think I'll go back. Also not much variety on the menu.

We came here today for Mother's Day brunch and had a subpar experience. We asked the server what he recommended for sharing plates and he wasn't very helpful. We were trying to ask what had good portions for sharing but he didn't know. We ordered a bunch of dishes and the server made it sound like he would send the appetizers first and then the mains. We had the salmon crisp and Turkish eggs which tasted more like plain Tzatziki sauce and came with two small pieces of bread which was way too little for the amount of sauce. Ofc another single piece of charred bread was $5. Salmon was good but 5 small pieces for $24. We waited for at least 30 minutes for the steak and frites to come while I watched two other parties who got seated and ordered before us get served first. I brought it to the attention of one of the servers and he said that it's because they ordered it rare. He then brought ours out and it was well done when we ordered medium - we told him and he immediately brought out another. It seems like they were just sitting there instead of getting served. I've had plenty of steak and frites at nice restaurants and the size of this one was sad - maybe 8 small pieces. Our chilaquiles came out 15 min later when it should have been served at the beginning. Lastly the French toast looked sad with all the whipped cream melted and the bread was soggy. This was a nice rooftop venue but we will not be back. read more

I will start by commending them on a great location for a rooftop bar in Pasadena. Wonderful views! Everything else unfortunately lackluster with the exception of the crispy Brussel sprouts, those were delicious. I ordered the steak and frites, which was pretty underwhelming in taste. Couldn't taste any flavor of the steak itself, and it tasted more so like the grill (if that makes sense), so I wonder if that's mainly attributed to the cut and type of meat they have in house. The service, by far the most underwhelming. By all means they're friendly! However it took some time to get waited on/get waters/drinks/food order. And after we got all that, we didn't get checked in on regularly, maybe one time if memory serves me correctly. I would've loved to have another drink (which was decent) but I never got asked and I didn't want to bother the staff. Over all I'd say 6.5-7/10 on my experience. I don't usually review restaurants so (to me) this says a lot haha. Also on the way out, it would've been nice if the staff had wished us good bye or offered gratitude for visiting, instead it felt like we committed an Irish goodbye/exit without intending to. I'm a native Pasadena resident so I'd love for this place to improve, as of now I'd say they're a work in progress. read more

My husband and I's visit to Osa Rooftop was disappointing to say the very least. We are Pasadena natives and live very close by. Our neighbor had recommended we check it out, so we had high expectations but it was not a great experience. We came up around 1ish on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived at the hostess booth and were not acknowledged or greeted. One hostess was on the phone and then another approached without saying anything. We stood there awkwardly until she finally rudely asked what we needed. We had planned to have lunch but decided on just grabbing a drink at the bar after the lack of care. Unfortunately, the bar did not get any better. The service was apathetic and cold. My husband and I both ordered a dry vodka martini with a lemon twist. The bartender left the double order vodka sitting in a pitcher of ice while he walked away allowing our spirit-heavy drink to become diluted. We were handed our drinks and once we said we weren't eating for the time being, our menus were taken away and we received no further service until we asked for our check. For two diluted dry martinis, it cost $56 dollars, which is absolutely atrocious. There were truly no redeeming qualities to our visit. We will not be returning and cannot recommend. read more

Great views, with a good overall vibe. I saw all ages, families, people on dates, parties, etc. Service was a bit slow, they were understaffed for a Friday night. But it was not the worst. Food was not good. Everything was subpar. The burger has so much melted cheese on it, there was zero flavor, it was like eating a burger from a fast food joint. Fries were not flavored, no salt or crisp. Steak frites was okay, but at that price the meat wasn't a good cut. Apps were decent, and honesty the best part of the meal. I'll go back, but not for dinner. read more

What an extremely disappointing and honestly unacceptable experience we had here at Osa! We came here for our 3 year anniversary and not only did we wait 20-30 minutes just to be acknowledged/greeted; after ordering my martini it took another 20 minutes to arrive, then ANOTHER 15-20 for our food. Meanwhile the guests who sat right beside us were met right away and food was delivered in a timely manner. Note: this was on a TUESDAY night, half empty restaurant, not busy at all! Our server was MIA the entirety of our meal, and she never acknowledged our reservation note that we were celebrating an anniversary. When we asked about it after paying the bill she said "it's not a birthday but i can get you like an ice cream" and get this... 5 minutes go by then 10.... needless to say we left. we had already waited more than we dined so there was no way we were waiting any longer. ALSO: I am allergic to persimmon!! I ordered the PEACH AND BURRATA SALAD, and I was given a PERSIMMON BURRATA SALAD!! Completely unacceptable. Though fortunately my allergies are mild to an itchy tongue/throat, is this not ILLEGAL???? read more

The food is AMAZING and the service is top tier. I went two days in a row. The first night, Jordan was our server, he was so on top of everything and his personality was extremely charismatic. As for my meal, I had the Brussels as a shareable and the Chard Chicken tacos, both items were so good I couldn't stop eating...I really wanted too, because I wanted dessert. Since I was pleasantly satisfied with my meal and service Friday night, went back Saturday night, to celebrate our Anniversary. On Saturday I had the Steak Frites (I subbed the Frites for Brussels). The Steak was nice and juicy and the brussel hit the spot again. This time I left room for dessert and had the mouth watering Chocolate Mousse cake. The combination of cake and moose with chocolate drizzle, was chef's kiss good. When it comes to the ambiance, for it to be a rooftop bar, the temperature was absolutely perfect. I'm always worried about being too cold, but luckily it's been pretty hot in Pasadena. It was a romantic candle light dinner experience. Osa was the perfect place to celebrate our 10yr wedding anniversary. read more

Visited OSA last night with my girls for a girls dinner. The views and vibes are very nice! Drinks were great. Food was ok.. I will say the Brussels sprouts were 10/10. The Cesar salad was nothing memorable it did lack flavor.. I also ordered chicken which came on the side but it was already in dressing so I'm assuming it's the chicken they use for their chicken tacos so it didn't really pair the best with the salad. Our server Tony was very attentive and provided great service. Overall I am open to coming back possibly just for drinks or trying their brunch! read more

I had such a great experience at Osa Rooftop! It's a beautiful spot for a date night or a girls' night out, especially if you can catch the sunset. The atmosphere was inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout the entire meal. We ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees, drinks, and dessert, and everything was excellent. My favorite was the Wagyu and Pork Meatballs with vodka sauce and pistachio pesto. They were packed with flavor and definitely a must-order. Amazing ambiance and vibe - so gorgeous, relaxed, and perfect rooftop with mountain views to savor our amazing SoCal weather. Just the street entrance (easy street parking, albeit metered close by), feels like you're entering into another realm - elevators up to the top and there's a fireplace with comfy small seating area, would recommend reservations. Menu is not extensive (maybe around 5 entrees) and they were out of 2 items that we tried to order - ended getting 4 appetizers to share and while none were particularly amazing to write home about (tostones with guac and bean dip were the fave) the small and larger ambiance details are worth the meal. would recommend booking to experience a gorgeous sunset, then once it's dark they projected a silent black and white movie onto the brick wall. read more
