We had such a wonderful experience at Osa Rooftop! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, and the view from the terrace is stunning, especially around sunset. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. They checked on us throughout the evening to make sure we were enjoying everything, which we really appreciated. Everything was clean, elegant, and had such a lovely atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our evening and will definitely be coming back! read more

Ambiance, Food, and Service 10/10! Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The Spicy Tuna Cones were my favorite dish out of everything! The steak frites I got was perfectly medium rare as I requested and my boyfriend also loved the Osa burger. We'd definitely come back!! read more

All my inhibitions left for a moment to enjoy the scenery, the service, the food, and the amount of bears that were displayed in the menu. My cousin took me here for my birthday and it was one of the best places I've ever been to, thus far. Our server, Josiah, was very friendly and knowledgeable with the menu options we had asked him about. He catered to our needs and made my birthday extra special. I would trust that man with my first born dog and make sure no harm could be done to him. Because of him, I would definitely recommend to a friend and want to come back again. read more

A fantastic rooftop experience in Pasadena! I've been seeing Osa Rooftop pop up on social media since it opened, and it's always caught my attention while driving along Colorado Boulevard, especially with its old-fashioned films projected onto the wall. Friday night was a little busy, as expected, but our reservation was honored promptly with no wait. We were seated outdoors with a beautiful view of the San Gabriel Mountains, which were partially hidden in the evening clouds. The staff was attentive and friendly from the moment we arrived, checking in throughout our drinks and dinner without making us feel rushed. The cocktails were fantastic! I ordered the Sweet Relief, a vodka, grapefruit, and rosemary combination that was absolutely delightful. The Negroni and martini were equally well executed. Dinner was where Osa really shined. The steak frites was a classic and delivered as expected, but the standout was the al pastor chicken with Napa cabbage salad. Absolutely incredible! To top off the evening, Osa was projecting the original black-and-white Dracula, which was a perfect touch for Halloween weekend. Between the atmosphere, excellent cocktails, delicious food, and attentive service, Osa made for a wonderful Friday evening. Definitely looking forward to returning! read more

Osa Rooftop was an absolute experience from beginning to end! The views, the food, the service, the atmosphere--everything was on point. Our reservation was at 1:00 PM, and we were seated around 1:10. The restaurant was running a little behind, but the hostess was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic about the wait. Her warmth and sincerity made a great first impression right from the entrance. And the VIEW! We had a stunning view of the San Gabriel Mountains, and with the beautiful weather that day, it was the perfect setting to enjoy a rooftop brunch. As someone who loves nature, being able to sit back, enjoy good food, and take in that scenery was everything. Now, let's talk about our server, Elio! Absolute GEM. His service was exceptional, and his recommendation did not disappoint. He suggested the Hugh Spritzer, and when I tell you that drink was DELICIOUS! Just be mindful because it will sneak up on you. Seriously, so good! I also ordered the avocado toast with slightly seared salmon and chili aioli, and OH. MY. GOODNESS. Absolutely delicious! I would genuinely return just for that dish alone. My best friend ordered the breakfast sandwich and was equally happy with his meal. What stood out to me most was that the experience wasn't just about the food or the view. It was the combination of a beautiful setting, delicious food and drinks, and people who made us feel welcome and taken care of. Our ratings: View: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Service: 10 PLUS 10! Atmosphere: Absolutely amazing. Osa Rooftop is definitely going on my list of places to revisit. Whether you're looking for a beautiful brunch spot, a great rooftop experience, or simply somewhere to enjoy good food with an incredible view, I highly recommend it. We had a fantastic time, and I would absolutely return. Osa, we'll be seeing you again! read more

Brunch at Osa Rooftop was such a treat! My friend and I had such a great time. We both got the steak frites medium rare, a drink, and ice cream to share. The steak frites were super good, they added the perfect amount of sauce for the steak and fries. The fries were really good too, crispy but not too crispy. Our drinks were good and strong too. The space is super cute and the views are amazing. Service was amazing as well, our waters were refilled before we even realized they were low. I'd definitely be back! read more

What a beautiful setting for my husband's 60th birthday brunch! OSA Rooftop in Pasadena is a tranquil rooftop setting on Colorado Boulevard. All the menus are superb: brunch, shareables, dinner, and cocktails. We were seated by Adam, who was super nice and very hospitable. He adjusted our umbrella to make sure that we had enough shade. We were waited on by Delaiah and Anna, who both went out of their way to make sure my husband's birthday brunch was perfect. We shared the OSA burger and the Al Pastor chicken. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the chicken was flavorful and tender with a fantastic Verde sauce. I don't usually care for slaw, but this slaw was light and pure, with peanuts and red onions, and not mayonnaisey at all. The fries were also cooked perfectly, and they weren't overdone. The tequila and beet cocktail was earthy and refreshing and unique and delicious! Best cocktail I've had in a long time. The view is stellar. It makes you feel peaceful and like you're a million miles away. We had our pug with us, and he was served ice water and treated like another restaurant guest. :) Thank you for being dog friendly for well-behaved dogs! Anna and Delaiah gave my hubby a complementary vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup sundae with a candle. So lovely. It was a perfect day. A beautiful day. Thank you, OSA Rooftop! read more

Located as part of the AC Hotel in Pasadena, I expected it to just be a chill hotel lounge with some food. But, that wasn't the case. Osa Rooftop was chill but it served up someone way more than that. Let's start with the layout and location, Osa has its own entrance right outside on Colorado Blvd. Which takes directly up to the space. But was really fun was the ambient lighting to the elevator. Lined with warm orange lighting and linen, it was quite the touch to set the tone for the space I was about to enter. As you exit you treated to wooden tables ceramics and a fun patio area that is such a warm atmosphere. I waited by the bar which was covered which served up some views of Pasadena and surrounding mountain ranges. I grabbed my cocktail and we were seated not to long after. For food, here is what we ordered: - Charred Brussel Sprouts Brussel Sprouts are such an underrated appetizer. This was so good. Crispy, thanks to the marcona almonds, and Savory. the Pomegranate Vinaigrette added a tart touch to it that really made it appealing! - Steak Frites They use a Filet Mignon which was cooked to temp. Fries were crispy and the sauce added a bit more savory undertones. - Seabass (Sorry forgot the name but its there!) If I were to describe it plainly, it is like a Thai Tom Yum Seabass. The fish was wonderfully cooked and the skin added texture to the fish. the sauce added that kick that made it so good. But in terms of taste it really tasted like a Thai soup. So here's the rub, go at sunset! The view at sunset was simply magical. The sunset hits Pasadena City Hall and mountain ranges so nicely it is indeed a feast for the eyes along with your palette. Parking can be found easily around or at the hotel. This is great for a small get together or a small group to enjoy drinks and dinner or just a casual hangout. Give it a shot and joy the vibe! There is no better view in the city! OSA is an absolute must-visit during golden hour to take in the beautiful mountain backdrop. We had drinks and appetizers, and everything was fantastic. We ordered the Peach Burrata, the Queso Fundido Arancini (with chorizo, poblano, queso Oaxaca, and guajillo crema), and the spicy tuna cones with caviar. Every single dish was not only gorgeous in presentation, but genuinely delicious. To top it off, the Triple Cali Spritz was the perfect drink to pair with appetizers and that incredible view. read more

We came here for our anniversary and were honestly disappointed by the overall experience. when we walked in the views were beautiful as we knew they would be and we were sat right at the time of our reservation, but when we sat down, the host told us we could only be there for an hour and a half , which is fine but something we didn't know ahead of time. When making the reservation open table asked if we were celebrating anything and we had decided to come here to celebrate our three year anniversary and we mentioned our anniversary on the reservation, but no one said anything to us which was a little disappointing. Usually if someone is asking if you're celebrating something it is so they can bring you out a card, champagne, dessert, or at least acknowledge it and no one said anything to us or gave us anything :( The food was absolutely delicious. We got the hamburger and the Seabass and both tasted 10/10 but we ordered truffle fries with the hamburger and it came with regular fries which they did bring out a replacement of truffle fries for after, but that was a little disappointing, and my Sea-bass was sooo small- it looked half the size of the two plates next to me because the women on either side of me ordered Seabass as well. I ordered the Rosedale cocktail and it tasted great but another weird instance of everyone getting a different serving size because my cocktail glass was twice as large as the woman to my right who ordered the same thing in what looked like a mini glass, but was the same order. We were both so confused hers looked like they were 4oz of liquid in a mini glass. We also ordered our drinks right when we got there especially since there was that time crunch and we wanted to enjoy our time, but the drinks did not arrive for 35 minutes and they said that there was only one bartender working so it would be a little bit, backed up, but sitting there with no drink for 35 minutes and they weren't even filling up our water was very disappointing. Then when they finally did bring our drinks 35 minutes after we got there, they arrived with the food so we didn't get to enjoy our drinks before beforehand like we were hoping to. The table next to us also got their food and the person that dropped it off left right away while they were calling to him because there were no forks so they had to wait like three minutes to eat their food because they had no forks in their rolled silverware on the table. The 2 parties on either side of us and my boyfriend and I felt so dumbfounded by all of this. It was clear everyone was disappointed and frustrated. I feel like this place has so much potential because the views and ambience are beautiful and the food was truly delicious in terms of taste, but they need to work on Service, acknowledging celebrations if they're inviting people to celebrate with them, and working on portion size, because it was disappointing to have the smallest piece of Seabass that we paid a lot of money for and see Seabass servings on my left and right that were literally twice the size Don't think we would come back here but 3 stars for delicious food and pretty setting read more

Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Parking is always a bit tricky in Pasadena. I parked on the streets on a Sunday, so no problem at all on my end. They have valet, and there is also the Playhouse parking lot nearby too. When you walk in, head to the elevators, and go up. Even though our group had a reservation, we still had to wait likely because our whole party wasn't there yet. Definitely a lively atmosphere with other people there grabbing drinks. After we were seated, my friends and I ordered food and drinks. I got the peach burrata and a lemonade. They were delicious! Then, they began to project a movie. Service was excellent as our server made sure to check in and get everything to us pretty quickly. It did get a bit chilly into the night, so bring a sweater! Great place to go on a date, celebrate special occasions, or just to hang out with friends. read more

Osa is currently the city's only one and it delivers on every level. From start to finish, the service was amazing the staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience effortless. The highlight of our meal was a quick menu swap: we ordered the $28 Wagyu burger and replaced the standard fries with their crispy Brussels sprouts tossed in Aleppo chili and almonds. Incredible move. But the unexpected star of the night? The Wagyu and pork meatballs in vodka sauce. Inside, the vibe is effortlessly relaxed, complete with panoramic views of the San Gabriel Mountains. If you're dining with a group, round out the spread with the chili-crisp salmon crudo and persimmon burrata salad. What I'd recommend: Timing: Book outdoor seating right around sunset. Drinks: Pair the view with a Penicillin or Lemon Drop martini. Dessert: Leave room for the gelato to wrap up the night. Hands down one of my favorite spots in Pasadena definitely save this post for your next date night out! read more

Located right at the top of the AC Hotel, this spot delivers epic vibes all around. It's an awesome place to just chill with friends and take in the fantastic views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Come at sunset for an even better view. While the food menu is relatively small, the dishes are decent, and the refreshing cocktails definitely make up for it. We got the burger and the steak. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced for a rooftop restaurant. I suggest upgrading the fries to truffle fries. We also swapped another set of fries for brussels sprouts and that was the right move. Service was fine and kept the night moving smoothly. Just make sure to grab a reservation beforehand to make your life easier. Highly recommend for a night out! read more

I was really excited for this one went for my husband's birthday, and the rooftop views/sunset are gorgeous, no complaints there. But the service just wasn't it. We had a 7:45 reservation and got there around 7:20 to walk around first, but didn't actually get seated until almost 8. While we were still standing there waiting for a table, a waitress came up and took our drink orders, then brought the drinks over to where we were just sitting on the lounge chair waiting with a bunch of other waiting parties. Kind of a weird start. Once we finally sat down, it didn't really get better. There wasn't one waitress checking on us I had to flag down whoever walked by just to get water, place our order, anything. It took a while just to get someone to take our order, and she had to come back later because she forgot a pen. Our sodas came out at 7:40, but we didn't get our food until 8:40 -- a full hour later -- so by the time we could actually sit down and eat, the sodas were completely watered down from sitting there melting. No one ever came by to offer new ones. Food also just got dropped off at the table without anyone saying what it was or asking who ordered what, so we were left guessing whose plate was whose. At one point a food runner dropped a drink, and it was not cleaned it up properly. The floor was still slippery afterwards as you'd walk to the bathroom. The bathrooms were also pretty dirty, with paper towels left all over the counters and floor. We got there at 7:20 and didn't leave until 10pm, and a lot of that time was spent waiting or trying to get someone's attention. I get they're still new, and I do wish them the best the food was good and the space itself is beautiful. But for a birthday dinner, I wanted it to feel a little more put together than it did. Hoping they get the service side figured out, because the bones of this place are genuinely nice. read more

Pretty nice rooftop restaurant, we came for my friends birthday on a pretty hot afternoon but they had plenty of patio umbrellas to keep the uncovered area from the exposed sun. They had a bar area that's covered. Overall the service and food was great. First off, as stated, this is a rooftop restaurant, although there's not much of a "view" aside from some Pasadena buildings but just being outdoors is lovely and we had a great time! Servers were great, very attentive and helpful with any requests we had. We were very indecisive so it was great that they gave us time and suggestions as well. All of the food was great. Our top choices on the food, I would say were the steak n frites and the chilaquiles verdes, although all of the food were ordered was good and presented very nicely. Price wise, I think it really depends on what you buy, were were all satisfied with the prices. read more

This rooftop bar and restaurant is located above the AC Hotel by Marriott. When you step in you are transported to another realm. One that feels warm, calm, inviting and intimate. We ordered some tapas and tried some of their cocktails. All so delicious! Osa is such a pretty rooftop in Pasadena. We had reservations and were promptly seated. The views were amazing and so was our service. We ordered a couple of mocktails to start with- the Merry Roses and Beetroot. Both drinks were refreshing and uplifting. We shared the peach burrata salad, king salmon crudo, and beef carpaccio. Peaches were not in season, so they were replaced with pear slices for the salad, and it was nice and light. The presentation for the crudo was lovely and really delicious. The beef carpaccio was my least favorite. It needed a bit more flavor. For our entree, we opted for the grilled swordfish. This fish was moist and so flavorful. We were too full for dessert and it also started raining, so it was perfect timing to leave. I'll need to save room for dessert next time! read more

I wanted to spend my birthday at a rooftop restaurant that was more on the casual side. After attending a Yelp event here when they first opened last summer, I thought this would be the perfect place. WRONG!!!! They use "Open Table" to make reservations where they specifically ask if it's a "Special Occasion" as well as for any requests. WHY BOTHER??? This place did not even acknowledge any of my requests. When we arrived, Emma, the hostess was so busy talking to a female server that she completely ignored us. That already took my review down a star. After waiting a few minutes, I had to politely say "HELLO," in order to get her attention. BTW - no apology was given! She then sat us at a table in the middle of the place and told me that no other tables were available with a view only by the bar (which was extremely LOUD!) That was complete BS since after we sat she managed to sit a few other couples at the long table I requested!!! Gets better! We sit down next to a couple of women with one saying the "F Bomb" every other word!" I actually started counting her! She was up to 13 F bombs every 5 minutes... We sat for at least 10 minutes, ignored again until I asked Emma as she walked by if we had a server. 5 minutes later our server Alejandro, with NO personality, or as my mother would say, " Dead From The Neck Up," came to our table. We ordered drinks which finally came when our appies came! The menu is limited but we did enjoy the beet salad and the "Hand Pressed Tostones." We also shared a burger for $28! To make a very bad experience here even worse, my birthday was NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED! NO happy birthday, no cake, no nothing! Just a bill for $111 that included 2 drinks, 2 appies and 1 burger w/fries that we shared! Not a memorable birthday dinner:( ~ and that's all I have to say about that... read more

After seeing this place circulate on social media, I decided to give it a try. They're located on the 6th floor of the AC hotel so you have to walk through the hotel lobby to get to the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated and our waitress came over to take our order. Thankfully, they have umbrellas and misters on because it was a HOT 89 degrees today. We ordered the Mi Rosa drinks which I recommend for a hot day like this one, followed by the OSA burger, Turkish eggs, and Caesar salad. While everything tasted good (maybe the sesame bread on the burger was a tad stale). There were a few things that took stars of what could have been a great brunch. One, the glass set on our table had some left over food stains which our waitress replaced. Secondly, after receiving our order we were never checked on again. No water, no "is everything good?", nothing! Again, I want to stress how hot it was. So the least the waitress Anna could have done was bring over a pitcher of water. We had planned to order another drink, but since she disappeared and was no where to be located, I ended up asking another waitress for our bill. It was the different waitress that I also had to ask for water because by this time I was quite literally feeling beads of sweat drip down my back. I think that if an establishment is going to be opened during peak heat, they need to be more attentive to guests to limit the possibility of dehydration. read more

The food and vibe here are both excellent. Got to join the team here for their first year anniversary, and we got to try a couple delicious and inventive drinks and some bites/dessert. The first drink I tried was the desert sun, which had a lovely kick to it and was super refreshing to boot. I then tried a delish caviar and fish dish they had put together with some crunch, a North Carolina oyster (so good), and a mini tostada. Everything was to die for, particularly the caviar dish - and I'm not normally a caviar guy! The second drink I tried was a triple cali spritz, which was very fruit forward, which I'm a fan of. We also got to try a fantastic wagyu and pork meatball, which was like the best elevated version of a Salisbury steak you could have. We chased all of this with an espresso vodka ice cream. Everything was seriously great, and all were basically mini versions of the food they serve here. Highly recommended :) Didn't even get into the atmosphere yet! Osa Rooftop feels VERY LA - a busy hotel rooftop restaurant that's clearly a favorite for people who work in the area and desperately need a drink after clocking out. Great views of the mountains and incredibly quick service. We came in at 7 and were out with some time to spare before our show started at the Playhouse at 8. The seasonal cocktails my girlfriend and I had weren't the best -- I had the spritz which was a tad too tart for my liking and my friend got the beet cocktail and then complained that it was too earthy. Not the restaurant's fault because HELLO it is made with beet what did you expect? The steak frites were pretty great, my only note is that it sat in a bit too much olive oil on the plate and made some of the frites taste regrettably oily. Perfectly cooked piece of meat though. The burger looked really good too. This big group of big men had the table behind us and were standing the whole time like Neanderthals! They were just taking up space and a waiter broke a glass because they were very much in the way. Again not the restaurants fault but if you were in that group of men SIT DOWN! read more
