Beet salad with whipped goat cheese - very good - Zinfandel & Swift Relief -

I wanted to spend my birthday at a rooftop restaurant that was more on the casual side. After attending a Yelp event here when they first opened last summer, I thought this would be the perfect place. WRONG!!!! They use "Open Table" to make reservations where they specifically ask if it's a "Special Occasion" as well as for any requests. WHY BOTHER??? This place did not even acknowledge any of my requests. When we arrived, Emma, the hostess was so busy talking to a female server that she completely ignored us. That already took my review down a star. After waiting a few minutes, I had to politely say "HELLO," in order to get her attention. BTW - no apology was given! She then sat us at a table in the middle of the place and told me that no other tables were available with a view only by the bar (which was extremely LOUD!) That was complete BS since after we sat she managed to sit a few other couples at the long table I requested!!! Gets better! We sit down next to a couple of women with one saying the "F Bomb" every other word!" I actually started counting her! She was up to 13 F bombs every 5 minutes... We sat for at least 10 minutes, ignored again until I asked Emma as she walked by if we had a server. 5 minutes later our server Alejandro, with NO personality, or as my mother would say, " Dead From The Neck Up," came to our table. We ordered drinks which finally came when our appies came! The menu is limited but we did enjoy the beet salad and the "Hand Pressed Tostones." We also shared a burger for $28! To make a very bad experience here even worse, my birthday was NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED! NO happy birthday, no cake, no nothing! Just a bill for $111 that included 2 drinks, 2 appies and 1 burger w/fries that we shared! Not a memorable birthday dinner:( ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

OSA Rooftop is THAT spot!! The views are absolutely incredible, especially during golden hour. I was definitely impressed by the entire atmosphere, especially the indoor/outdoor set up. Perfection. The service and food went hand and hand. The hostess and waitress broke down each flavor and shared their favorite menu items making it easy to choose the right dish. My faves were the Tuna tartare, Spiced nuts, Steak frites and all the cocktails. *Bonus: The Gelato was soo yummy and I am definitely getting the Olive Oil cake on my next visit. Overall, I felt like this was the perfect mini escape from Los Angeles and worth the visit. Thank you so much to the OSA team for the incredible service and hospitality. See you all again soon!

Came here for a friends bday brunch the scenery is so stunning. Food is pretty good I've tried the swordfish and the steak, would recommend both. Menu is pretty small and limited but has something for everyone. Drinks are pretty. I think it's a good spot for a birthday dinner or brunch make reservations in advance.

My sister and I stopped by for an early birthday celebration on a Friday evening. The rooftop is located on the sixth floor and we arrived just in time for the sunset which was a beautiful view! I ordered the Cactus Cooler which comes with mezcal and it was good! My sister got the Merry Roses mocktail and she loved it too! For food, I ordered the King Salmon Crudo and it was different from what I expected. I am use to the crudo being more citrus and spicy flavor and this one has a more sweet flavor. Our server was friendly and surprised my sister with a slice of cake for her birthday which was really sweet! They take reservations so I recommend booking in advance!

My husband & I came here during Dine LA and so many of the dishes were amazing! The tuna with crispy rice & pasta courses were fine, pretty standard. But the cauliflower was the stand out with a deliciously creamy texture and packed with flavor. We wanted to get the chocolate cake for dessert but it was already sold out for the night - must be delicious then lol. We couldn't agree on another dessert to share so we ended up getting both the red velvet & the caramel cake. Fantastic, no notes! I've got a sweet tooth and those were the perfect way to end the meal.

Osa Rooftop feels VERY LA - a busy hotel rooftop restaurant that's clearly a favorite for people who work in the area and desperately need a drink after clocking out. Great views of the mountains and incredibly quick service. We came in at 7 and were out with some time to spare before our show started at the Playhouse at 8. The seasonal cocktails my girlfriend and I had weren't the best -- I had the spritz which was a tad too tart for my liking and my friend got the beet cocktail and then complained that it was too earthy. Not the restaurant's fault because HELLO it is made with beet what did you expect? The steak frites were pretty great, my only note is that it sat in a bit too much olive oil on the plate and made some of the frites taste regrettably oily. Perfectly cooked piece of meat though. The burger looked really good too. This big group of big men had the table behind us and were standing the whole time like Neanderthals! They were just taking up space and a waiter broke a glass because they were very much in the way. Again not the restaurants fault but if you were in that group of men SIT DOWN!

Great spot! Off Colorado on the 6th floor of the Marriott Hotel For the record, no happy hour here. Despite yelps search methods - NO happy hour. With that said, great date spot or friend hangout spot. There is the bar area and the seated area. Bar area has windows and seating area has open air seating The cheeseburger was great. Don't mind the presentation lol Bartenders were nice and welcoming Drinks are pricey but seems like a standard hotel bar drink

This is the perfect spot for drinks with your girls. We were on the hunt for a casual rooftop bar, and I'm so glad we ended up here. The place is absolutely dreamy. It's located on top of a hotel with the prettiest outdoor seating. The bar overlooks the mountains, and the view alone is gorgeous and perfect! As for the drinks... we did not plan on sitting there for hours but they were that good. We ordered the Beet Margarita, Cali Spritz, and our favorite, Swift Relief. It was perfectly citrusy and sweet... so good we each had three. The bartenders were so friendly, gave great recommendations, kept our waters filled, and even took photos for us. Definitely coming back with my girls to try the food next time!

Great martinis

I made my first visit to Osa Rooftop on Valentine's Day, and honestly... I was really impressed. They had a prix fixe menu, and in my experience, that's not always the best way to understand what a restaurant can really do. But this one totally worked. First off: the views are amazing. How have I lived here all these years and never noticed that green lookout on top of the building across the street?! I never would've seen it without this view, and now I can't unsee it. The waitstaff was friendly, kind, and genuinely helpful -- especially appreciated since I have some kind of lifelong curse where I spill things on light-colored shirts at important moments. Thank you for the soda water offer before I could even possibly ask . The curated menu for the night was spot on. Almost everything was excellent and cooked perfectly. The only thing we didn't love was the vinegar-heavy marinade on the oysters -- a little too sour for us. And honestly, when I saw someone at a nearby table make that face after trying one, I knew I wasn't alone. But aside from that? The steak, the fish, the pasta, the tuna tartare, the artichokes -- yum, yum, yum. We were blown away and pleasantly surprised. We skipped the Valentine's Day cocktails and went straight for dirty martinis to really see what they could do. They were great... so great that we ordered seconds. And at $12 each for a rooftop bar? Yes, please. Overall, such a great experience. Beautiful views, great food, lovely staff, and solid drinks. We'll definitely be back.

Entrance to get to the elevator to take you up - A narrow corridor with fabric-covered walls and warm lighting, extending into the distance with a doorway at the end.

A cute aesthetic rooftop with such a cute private entrance to go up. By private I mean you don't have to go through the actual hotel to get to the rooftop. Drinks were well made and start around $18 for the cocktails; but they don't have many of their own curated cocktails. But I do think they have a full bar so they should be able to make what you want. For food we ordered a few different appetizers; carpaccio was definitely a 10/10 with a yummy citrus sauce and perfect potato chips, truffle string fries were also a hit with a perfect balance of truffle and garlic, tuna appetizer was okay, it could have more flavor or at least some salt. Cesar salad was also yummy, there cesar here has cappers which I loved. For entrees we had steak frittes. Steak was small for what I was expecting and they charge an upgrade for truffle fries or Brussels sprouts. Brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly and had a savory citrus sweet glaze with almonds. Overall food was great. Service was decent, although I would have appreciated for our server to check in on how food was tasting after things came out. We didn't see him other than taking our order, running our drinks, and brining the check. Other than that the food runner was more helpful. Cheers to her! For this reason 4/5 stars Overall we had 8 shots, 5 cocktails and all the food above and our check was about $600 with tip.

Food was alright! Not super amazing but not bad. Chocolate cake was yummmmy!!!! Service was excellent! The place is very clean. We sat outside on a Monday evening at 7pm. Heat lamps felt nice. Prices are a little on the high side. $12 for this slice of cake?!?!? Views are excellent! Parked across the street at Urth. Great for a date night. My chair was NOT comfy.

Tuna tartare
Adriana G.

A rooftop with great vibes and friendly service! The view was so pretty and relaxing and our server was welcoming. My favorite dish was the shoestring fries with truffle and garlic - very flavorful! We also ordered the tuna tartare and crudo. We were very excited for both but didn't love them. We wish the tuna tartare was paired with lemon (we asked for some and it was much better) and the crudo was not as citrusy as we had hoped! The food was okay, but really great atmosphere!

Steak Frites

Love a nice rooftop moment! I'm glad I finally got to try this place out. The overall vibes were classy and you get a nice view of Downtown Pasadena. I came here with my friend to get some lunch and catch up over some drinks. Service was great. Our food and drinks came out fairly quick. The food was okay. Their menu is quite small. We ordered the Steak Frites. The steak was decent but the sauce really took it up a notch. I tried two cocktails, Drop The Beet and Swift Relief. Both tasted exactly as described and were very refreshing. I would recommend this spot if you're looking for a place to grab some drinks with a view.

Is Osa going to have a special menu or event for Valentines Day 2026?

I would call and ask or go to their website

Are kids allowed?

They are but there's no special kid menu or anything.

Do I need to make reservation?

It's suggested. I definitely would.

What is the dress code like?

Casual but doesn't hurt to dress nice ;)

Is there Vegan options?

Yes.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, It is outside but while I was there there was a lady with the dog in her lap.

Is it okay to smoke cigars?

No. Pasadena has strict no smoking laws

Is it reservation only?

You can walk up but would recommend coming early, the later it is the busier it gets. They also have a bar area you can just walk up to if not getting dinner.

The menu was scanned via QR code and it was easy enough to access. We both got burgers, mine was a beyond patty and my fiancé got a beef one. The food came so quickly and the French fries were DELICIOUS. I've been looking for a new favorite fry since Pizza of Venice was lost in the Eaton Fire and I think these may be it! When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.

Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.
