Osa is currently the city's only one and it delivers on every level. From start to finish, the service was amazing the staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience effortless. The highlight of our meal was a quick menu swap: we ordered the $28 Wagyu burger and replaced the standard fries with their crispy Brussels sprouts tossed in Aleppo chili and almonds. Incredible move. But the unexpected star of the night? The Wagyu and pork meatballs in vodka sauce. Inside, the vibe is effortlessly relaxed, complete with panoramic views of the San Gabriel Mountains. If you're dining with a group, round out the spread with the chili-crisp salmon crudo and persimmon burrata salad. What I'd recommend: Timing: Book outdoor seating right around sunset. Drinks: Pair the view with a Penicillin or Lemon Drop martini. Dessert: Leave room for the gelato to wrap up the night. Hands down one of my favorite spots in Pasadena definitely save this post for your next date night out!

Located right at the top of the AC Hotel, this spot delivers epic vibes all around. It's an awesome place to just chill with friends and take in the fantastic views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Come at sunset for an even better view. While the food menu is relatively small, the dishes are decent, and the refreshing cocktails definitely make up for it. We got the burger and the steak. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced for a rooftop restaurant. I suggest upgrading the fries to truffle fries. We also swapped another set of fries for brussels sprouts and that was the right move. Service was fine and kept the night moving smoothly. Just make sure to grab a reservation beforehand to make your life easier. Highly recommend for a night out!

Met up a friend for lunch and the vibes were very chill. We got French toast, Turkish eggs a side of bacon and chilaquiles. Everything was delicious, especially the Turkish eggs. The service was quick and friendly. Good food, with a nice view, what more could I ask for.

Excellent food and service. Each dish was very tasty, but menu is very limited. Would be nice to have some heathy options like a salad. Beautiful setting and ambiance. Nice touch that they show old movies on the side of the building. We were asked to leave after a certain period to make way for the next group. They were polite about it though. There is street parking, a paid parking lot across the street and valet parking available.

My parents and I loved this spot for rooftop brunch. The food was fresh and plated nicely. The spitz tree was unique. For appetizers, we enjoyed the Turkish eggs, oysters and salmon crudo. The mains of lobster roll and steak frites were good too. The service was amazing. Our waitress was patient and friendly. The views were spectacular. I recommend this place !

After seeing this place circulate on social media, I decided to give it a try. They're located on the 6th floor of the AC hotel so you have to walk through the hotel lobby to get to the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated and our waitress came over to take our order. Thankfully, they have umbrellas and misters on because it was a HOT 89 degrees today. We ordered the Mi Rosa drinks which I recommend for a hot day like this one, followed by the OSA burger, Turkish eggs, and Caesar salad. While everything tasted good (maybe the sesame bread on the burger was a tad stale). There were a few things that took stars of what could have been a great brunch. One, the glass set on our table had some left over food stains which our waitress replaced. Secondly, after receiving our order we were never checked on again. No water, no "is everything good?", nothing! Again, I want to stress how hot it was. So the least the waitress Anna could have done was bring over a pitcher of water. We had planned to order another drink, but since she disappeared and was no where to be located, I ended up asking another waitress for our bill. It was the different waitress that I also had to ask for water because by this time I was quite literally feeling beads of sweat drip down my back. I think that if an establishment is going to be opened during peak heat, they need to be more attentive to guests to limit the possibility of dehydration.

Such a gorgeous birthday dinner at Osa! Be sure to make a reservation especially for a larger party. We were lucky enough to enjoy the large corner table with a view. I cannot overstate how beautiful it was. The cocktails were 10/10 fantastic - the bartender, Mitch, made such a delicious espresso martini that I trusted him to make bartender's choice drinks for the rest of the night. He did not disappoint! Our server brought out a beautiful dessert with a candle for the final touch of the night. Perfection *chefs kiss*

First off, as stated, this is a rooftop restaurant, although there's not much of a "view" aside from some Pasadena buildings but just being outdoors is lovely and we had a great time! Servers were great, very attentive and helpful with any requests we had. We were very indecisive so it was great that they gave us time and suggestions as well. All of the food was great. Our top choices on the food, I would say were the steak n frites and the chilaquiles verdes, although all of the food were ordered was good and presented very nicely. Price wise, I think it really depends on what you buy, were were all satisfied with the prices.

@osarooftop in Pasadena gorgeous views!! Still thinking about last night What an incredibly beautiful space with romantic vibes!!! This rooftop bar and restaurant is located above the AC Hotel by Marriott. When you step in you are transported to another realm. One that feels warm, calm, inviting and intimate. We ordered some tapas and tried some of their cocktails. All so delicious! But the real attraction is experiencing it all together with the views, the string lights hung all around you and even a film displayed off a projector on the side wall just made it all feel like you were in a movie! Perfect for celebrating a special occasion, going on a date or to catch up with friends! Our server Daniel was amazing, and so informative! He made our night even more special.

Osa is such a pretty rooftop in Pasadena. We had reservations and were promptly seated. The views were amazing and so was our service. We ordered a couple of mocktails to start with- the Merry Roses and Beetroot. Both drinks were refreshing and uplifting. We shared the peach burrata salad, king salmon crudo, and beef carpaccio. Peaches were not in season, so they were replaced with pear slices for the salad, and it was nice and light. The presentation for the crudo was lovely and really delicious. The beef carpaccio was my least favorite. It needed a bit more flavor. For our entree, we opted for the grilled swordfish. This fish was moist and so flavorful. We were too full for dessert and it also started raining, so it was perfect timing to leave. I'll need to save room for dessert next time!

There's nothing quite like kicking back under the warm California sun while taking in the sweeping, breathtaking views of the San Gabriel mountains right from your table. The menu here is just as spectacular as the scenery. You can truly taste the quality and the fresh ingredients in every single bite: Osa Burger -- $28.00 Wagyu & Pork Meatballs -- $22.00 King Salmon Crudo -- $24.00 Grilled Swordfish -- $36.00

I wanted to spend my birthday at a rooftop restaurant that was more on the casual side. After attending a Yelp event here when they first opened last summer, I thought this would be the perfect place. WRONG!!!! They use "Open Table" to make reservations where they specifically ask if it's a "Special Occasion" as well as for any requests. WHY BOTHER??? This place did not even acknowledge any of my requests. When we arrived, Emma, the hostess was so busy talking to a female server that she completely ignored us. That already took my review down a star. After waiting a few minutes, I had to politely say "HELLO," in order to get her attention. BTW - no apology was given! She then sat us at a table in the middle of the place and told me that no other tables were available with a view only by the bar (which was extremely LOUD!) That was complete BS since after we sat she managed to sit a few other couples at the long table I requested!!! Gets better! We sit down next to a couple of women with one saying the "F Bomb" every other word!" I actually started counting her! She was up to 13 F bombs every 5 minutes... We sat for at least 10 minutes, ignored again until I asked Emma as she walked by if we had a server. 5 minutes later our server Alejandro, with NO personality, or as my mother would say, " Dead From The Neck Up," came to our table. We ordered drinks which finally came when our appies came! The menu is limited but we did enjoy the beet salad and the "Hand Pressed Tostones." We also shared a burger for $28! To make a very bad experience here even worse, my birthday was NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED! NO happy birthday, no cake, no nothing! Just a bill for $111 that included 2 drinks, 2 appies and 1 burger w/fries that we shared! Not a memorable birthday dinner:( ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

I was really excited for this one went for my husband's birthday, and the rooftop views/sunset are gorgeous, no complaints there. But the service just wasn't it. We had a 7:45 reservation and got there around 7:20 to walk around first, but didn't actually get seated until almost 8. While we were still standing there waiting for a table, a waitress came up and took our drink orders, then brought the drinks over to where we were just sitting on the lounge chair waiting with a bunch of other waiting parties. Kind of a weird start. Once we finally sat down, it didn't really get better. There wasn't one waitress checking on us I had to flag down whoever walked by just to get water, place our order, anything. It took a while just to get someone to take our order, and she had to come back later because she forgot a pen. Our sodas came out at 7:40, but we didn't get our food until 8:40 -- a full hour later -- so by the time we could actually sit down and eat, the sodas were completely watered down from sitting there melting. No one ever came by to offer new ones. Food also just got dropped off at the table without anyone saying what it was or asking who ordered what, so we were left guessing whose plate was whose. At one point a food runner dropped a drink, and it was not cleaned it up properly. The floor was still slippery afterwards as you'd walk to the bathroom. The bathrooms were also pretty dirty, with paper towels left all over the counters and floor. We got there at 7:20 and didn't leave until 10pm, and a lot of that time was spent waiting or trying to get someone's attention. I get they're still new, and I do wish them the best the food was good and the space itself is beautiful. But for a birthday dinner, I wanted it to feel a little more put together than it did. Hoping they get the service side figured out, because the bones of this place are genuinely nice.

Ask the Community - Osa Rooftop

Is Osa going to have a special menu or event for Valentines Day 2026?

I would call and ask or go to their website

    Are kids allowed?

They are but there's no special kid menu or anything.

Do I need to make reservation?

    It's suggested. I definitely would.

What is the dress code like?

Casual but doesn't hurt to dress nice ;)

    Is there Vegan options?

    Yes.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Service animals only

Is it okay to smoke cigars?

No. Pasadena has strict no smoking laws

    Is it reservation only?

You can walk up but would recommend coming early, the later it is the busier it gets. They also have a bar area you can just walk up to if not getting dinner.

    Is there a menu?

Yes. Check the Yelp site or website.

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.

Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. What makes 1894 truly special is how intentionally it celebrates literature. Everything in the bar pays homage to the bookstore. The drink menu is full of clever, book-inspired names. You'll find cocktails like Pride and PearJudice Pride, Fifty Shades of Earl Grey, and other fun literary twists. Every drink feels like a little wink to readers, writers, and book lovers, and it adds such a unique charm to the experience. Customer service was excellent. One of the bartenders spent time chatting with us. He pointed out a chalk artwork behind the bar a dramatic portrait he drew himself featuring expressive, literary-style faces, like Edgar Allan Poe, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, etc. It fits perfectly with the creative, bookish aesthetic of the bar. Once you walk in, the vibe instantly transforms into a sexy and luxurious space with dim lighting, cushioned seats, and interesting artwork hanging on the wall. They have quite a few drinks on their menu. I like how the menu highlights the flavors of each cocktail so it makes it easier to find a drink that will suite your tastes. We ordered the beauty and the beast and friends and neighbors drink. Both cocktails tasted very light and delicious. On top of that, the beauty and the beast drink comes in a cute rose shaped glass which matches the name perfectly! The servers were very attentive and would check in on us periodically. I came in on a weekday to catch the Suntory promotion, which came with some nice collectibles to pair with your highball. I feel like every cocktail I've had here so far has a great sense of balance and technique. I'll probably come back and try their omakase course of cocktails at some point. Is it "kami no glass?" (The Glass of God) - I haven't found one that has touched my soul to that extent, but they do have an extensive list to explore. The food menu consists of luxurious bites from burrata, crudo, bone marrow, oysters, and the like. Gourmet pairings for your expensive tastes.
