Truly made us feel appreciated. The restaurant is well designed and has a classy, intimate tone. I am a more casual person but did not feel out of place being here. There is valet parking and it's not overpriced. Cocktails are great. Ordered scallops for starter and they were delicious. Highly recommend. Ordered the porterhouse and filet mignon. Both were cooked perfectly. Taste was exceptional. Loaded baked potato was my favorite and it's a massive portion. Brussel sprouts were average. I really like Arroyo Chop House. In fact, it's one of my favorite restaurants. I recently celebrated a friend's birthday with a group of four other people, and the service was impeccable. Our server, Steve, was attentive, friendly, and excellent at her job. The sides were good, especially the corn succotash. We ordered the chocolate and Grand Marnier soufflés and were evenly split on which one was our favorite. What I was not impressed with, however, was paying $135 for 1 1/2 crab legs. The menu lists the crab legs at market price, but I'm having a very hard time believing that 1 1/2 crab legs cost $135. I truly feel we were overcharged for that particular item, especially since two of us ordered it! But unfortunately, the only reason it is not five stars is because the "Hosts" at the entrance who checked us in didn't really seem in the mood to Host. It's like when any type of party is planned and the Host is excited about the guest list, who RSVP''d and who actually shows up. Amazing experience at Arroyo Chop House! Saturday night 7:30 PM and I arrive with no reservation. The wonderful hostess was so kind to accommodate us. After a short wait, we seated in a comfortable booth and greeted by our server Seth. He was a real professional waiter and guided us through the menu with several recommendations. We settled on garlic and sourdough bread, a fillet, cowboy ribeye, caramelized whole-kernel corn, and scalloped potatoes. Let me just say the entire meal was amazing. I would order the everything thing again tonight if I could go back. The ribeye was seared perfectly with a nice crust and yet medium rare on the inside. Don't even think about sauce because the steak has so much flavor. Nothing is needed. I don't know if I would take my baby because it's more upscale but it was fine with my oldest. The ambiance is really nice and perfect for special occasion but I have to be honest the reason I wanted to come here was because they had chocolate soufflé and not many places make it correct and this place totally nailed it. I've been coming here since 2013, and it's a tradition for me to come here for my birthday. Sometimes it's crowded, and sometimes it's on the slower side. There are no specific dates. Bread (half and half): Usually amazing, but on my most recent visit, the bread was a bit overbaked. It was a bit tough to eat. Truffle Mac&Cheese: I love it, and you can actually taste the truffle. Tomahawk: Amazing, it's always moist and tender. I appreciate that they will cut it for you as well, so it's easier to share. Bonus is being able to take the giant bone home for the dogs. I'm definitely not a novice to fine dining, so I can hands down say Arroyo provides a superior and supreme experience. Only issue is that they gave 2 slightly small bowls of butter for x4 people. I personally believe that each person should be initially served with their own butter bowl if the portion of butter is small, but that's just me . Not a slight against the chop house, because of course, a person can just ask for their own. The waiters were very attentive , as much as they could be , because for a Wednesday night, it was really busy. -The drinks: Wonderful! Tasty and decent with the alcohol. I tried the Hugo Spritz and Tangerine Sour. One of my friends in attendance had Straw and Berry. The Hugo spritz is light and refreshing, very soft alcoholic drink. The Tangerine sour , was nice! It was potent! A little more sour than I would have liked, but I'm still not complaining. This is a good drink if you don't mind citrus. For the straw and berry , very cute and definitely has both sweet and the potency available at its advantage. -For Parking its mainly valet only .$8 not too bad . There may be street parking available but it is limited and timed. -For appetizers we chose the oysters and bbq shrimp. If it wasn't ok - just say so? What's up with agreeing and then ignoring the request. Also, another guest in our party asked if soft drinks (coke) was refillable. In which they answered "yes" and proceeded to charge full price for every meal. Maybe restaurant policy or some disconnect there but whatever. Other than that - staffs were nice and attentive. The staff is very nice and extremely helpful in helping you choose your best cut. The dress code is California flare. Some dress up and some come in casual. We came here this past weekend for my birthday. We had come a couple years ago and were delighted to return. Our waiter was Christopher and he was absolutely excellent. He was so knowledgeable and pleasant. He spoke to the chef twice to double check that an ingredient I'm highly allergic to was for certain not in the dishes. Again, I cannot reiterate how wonderful service was for us. I also ordered a Cadillac margarita, which is one of the strongest margaritas I've ever had in my life! They have an extensive wine selection and a fine selection of quality cuts. They also offer Japanese Wagyu steaks, which I think is rare in the area. We ordered two wines, 1/2 sourdough and 1/2 garlic bread, the Japanese ribeye, Fillet and Lobster tail. For sides we had the Scalloped potatoes, ACH mac and cheese, an 1/2 orders of the onion rings and creamed spinach. We ordered the soufflé special and also got a candle lit raspberry chocolate cake for our anniversary. You must decide on the soufflé mid meal as it takes some time to make. My friend took me here for my birthday since I he knows I love a good steak We got there and service it's very good The steak was cooked to perfection, the lobster Mc and cheese was delicious and creamy, also they got me some onion rings tha they make it taste beautiful and it had crispness sublime, definitely going back sometime again, service it's decent not the best but it can improve or maybe it was just a bad day for our server. read more

We were really looking forward to trying Arroyo Chop House, as we've been searching for a nice steakhouse that we could frequent regularly. The restaurant is beautiful inside, and the service from the moment we arrived was excellent. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout our dinner. We started with the bread, which was fresh and hot. For an appetizer, we ordered the ahi tartare. It was okay, but unfortunately, it seemed to have more avocado than tuna. For dinner, my wife ordered the petite filet and I ordered the ribeye. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to the temperatures we requested, but unfortunately, they lacked flavor. At this price point, we expected the steaks to be the highlight of the meal, and they simply weren't. The Brussels sprouts, however, were delicious. Our waitress noticed we weren't completely satisfied and asked about our meal. After we explained our concerns, she offered to have my ribeye remade. I appreciated the offer but declined because I didn't want my wife to have to wait while another steak was prepared. They did provide us with a dessert for the inconvenience, which was a thoughtful gesture. Overall, the service was great, but the food was disappointing. For the price, we expected a much better dining experience. Unfortunately, our first impression wasn't a good one, and we don't see ourselves returning. read more

The restaurant is dark wich makes for an intimate vibe. Our sever, Seth, was attentive, nice and funny! The trifecta! The food was insane! We split the NY Steak, broccoli, garlic bread and potato. Do yourself a favor and DO NOt..I repeat..DO NOT skip the garlic bread. Welcome to the arroyo chop house, where it's a fancy sizzler. Upgraded cuts, decent service... portions are generous, but don't expect any sort of elevated cuisine. I would say it's a cross between Morton's and the sizzler... steak was generous sized but lacking on the taste. Ordered the mushrooms which lacked any sort of presentation or effort looked like we got the bottom of the mushroom bag. Guess I expected a nicer experience... but pretty mid.
