Made reservations with a few friends at this restaurant. It was an amazing experience. Food was delicious, ambiance is elevated and service was spectacular. I'm definitely not a novice to fine dining, so I can hands down say Arroyo provides a superior and supreme experience. For starters: they provide bread and butter , which you can choose from 2 different types: sourdough or garlic . We chose both , definitely freshly made. Only issue is that they gave 2 slightly small bowls of butter for x4 people. I personally believe that each person should be initially served with their own butter bowl if the portion of butter is small, but that's just me . Not a slight against the chop house, because of course, a person can just ask for their own. The waiters were very attentive , as much as they could be , because for a Wednesday night, it was really busy. -The drinks: Wonderful! Tasty and decent with the alcohol. I tried the Hugo Spritz and Tangerine Sour. One of my friends in attendance had Straw and Berry. The Hugo spritz is light and refreshing, very soft alcoholic drink. The Tangerine sour , was nice! It was potent! A little more sour than I would have liked, but I'm still not complaining. This is a good drink if you don't mind citrus. For the straw and berry , very cute and definitely has both sweet and the potency available at its advantage. -For Parking its mainly valet only .$8 not too bad . There may be street parking available but it is limited and timed. -For appetizers we chose the oysters and bbq shrimp. I'm not a big fan of oysters but they were very tasty nonetheless , when the extras are added (lemon, sauce) . The bbq shrimp ?? You gotta try it ! If you don't have any allergies. Very delicious. -For entree , I had filet mignon wagyu steak. My first time having and definitely recommend. The meat was so tender , juicy and damn near melted in your mouth straight delici-gasm. As a few sides we all chose , green beans , and garlic potatoes. -During our dining, we had to have a slight change in accommodations mid reservation to accommodate an extra diner, and the staff were more than happy to accommodate us. They helped move all food and drinks to the new table. Excellent customer service ! -The chocolate souflee with vanilla ice cream was recommended to us by our waiter, it was a wonderful dessert to finish off the meal. Served warm, was Delicious! We were really looking forward to trying Arroyo Chop House, as we've been searching for a nice steakhouse that we could frequent regularly. The restaurant is beautiful inside, and the service from the moment we arrived was excellent. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout our dinner. We started with the bread, which was fresh and hot. For an appetizer, we ordered the ahi tartare. It was okay, but unfortunately, it seemed to have more avocado than tuna. For dinner, my wife ordered the petite filet and I ordered the ribeye. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to the temperatures we requested, but unfortunately, they lacked flavor. At this price point, we expected the steaks to be the highlight of the meal, and they simply weren't. The Brussels sprouts, however, were delicious. Our waitress noticed we weren't completely satisfied and asked about our meal. After we explained our concerns, she offered to have my ribeye remade. I appreciated the offer but declined because I didn't want my wife to have to wait while another steak was prepared. They did provide us with a dessert for the inconvenience, which was a thoughtful gesture. Overall, the service was great, but the food was disappointing. The complimentary bread was very good. The bread came hot, very soft inside, but crispy on the outside. Got the Caesar Salad as a starter. Got the U.S.D.A. Prime Petit Filet Mignon medium as the entree with Creamed Spinach, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Caramelized Sweet Corn as sides. Had the Butterscotch Pudding as dessert. The Caesar Salad was delicious with a hint of lemon. The U.S.D.A. Prime Petit Filet Mignon was absolutely disappointing. Ordered medium, but got almost well done. There was absolutely no pink or red to the meat. Plus, the filet was flavorless. The Creamed Spinach, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Caramelized Sweet Corn were alright with none of them stood out. But unfortunately, the only reason it is not five stars is because the "Hosts" at the entrance who checked us in didn't really seem in the mood to Host. Amazing experience at Arroyo Chop House! Saturday night 7:30 PM and I arrive with no reservation. The wonderful hostess was so kind to accommodate us. After a short wait, we seated in a comfortable booth and greeted by our server Seth. He was a real professional waiter and guided us through the menu with several recommendations. We settled on garlic and sourdough bread, a fillet, cowboy ribeye, caramelized whole-kernel corn, and scalloped potatoes. Let me just say the entire meal was amazing. I would order the everything thing again tonight if I could go back. The ribeye was seared perfectly with a nice crust and yet medium rare on the inside. Don't even think about sauce because the steak has so much flavor. Nothing is needed. I've been coming here since 2013, and it's a tradition for me to come here for my birthday. Sometimes it's crowded, and sometimes it's on the slower side. There are no specific dates. Bread (half and half): Usually amazing, but on my most recent visit, the bread was a bit overbaked. It was a bit tough to eat. Truffle Mac&Cheese: I love it, and you can actually taste the truffle. Tomahawk: Amazing, it's always moist and tender. I appreciate that they will cut it for you as well, so it's easier to share. Bonus is being able to take the giant bone home for the dogs. Soufflé: This is the reason why this is my favorite steakhouse. You need to order at the beginning so the chefs have time to make it, but it's so good. I arrived early and got seated right away. The server already knew it was for a birthday so a card from the restaurant was placed on the menu. The staff is very nice and extremely helpful in helping you choose your best cut. The dress code is California flare. Some dress up and some come in casual. For sides we had the Scalloped potatoes, ACH mac and cheese, an 1/2 orders of the onion rings and creamed spinach. We ordered the soufflé special and also got a candle lit raspberry chocolate cake for our anniversary. You must decide on the soufflé mid meal as it takes some time to make. One of my friends received a glass that was chipped for his old fashion, which is surprising for a place like this. Didn't love the service, our waiter cracked some jokes about the chip and poor lighting in our picture but I didn't really find it funny. I have been visiting Arroyo Chop House for some time, and it has been my regular go-to steakhouse. So why wait to do a review? Let's just say I needed a fresh perspective. A couple friends have never been, but wanted to go, I was surprised that they asked for me to come along! Arroyo Chop House has low ambient lighting with a high class look with a casual vibe. Tables are clean yet highlighted, while the bar area is lively as people share stories and drinks. Food: I ordered my usual Negroni to start my meal here and boy on a Friday evening that is exactly what I needed. We also ordered the half Garlic bread and Sourdough to start. The bread was piping hot and that crunch was what we needed to start our meal. For the main course, I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye. I love my steaks here as they have neve over nor under cook my steaks here. My friends ordered the same with the addition to some more additional sides all were impeccable and tasted delicious. Food - The food was very delicious! We've been to a few steakhouses but we've never had steak as good as this! The steaks were cooked to perfection, each so tender and juicy. The sides were very delicious with enough to share with 2-3 people. Service - Stevey was our server and she was very delightful. Always checking up on us and answering any questions we have. Ambiance - I loved the area where we were seated, a room located to the left of the entrance. Inside there were about 10 tables and a fireplace with dim lights and a view of their wine cellar. The owner reached out on my review and asked for details. I emailed them right after and never heard back. The lack of attention to quality is unfortunate. At this price point, you're better off at the many other steakhouses around. read more
