What a cute concept and I adore the fact that they have vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar-free desserts that taste so so good! That brownie I had was delicious and actually satisfying for a sweet tooth like me! The rose latte was enjoyable and once again, they had gluten-free bread to offer for the sandwiches/paninis. Not only that, they are actually a dollar less than the regular one because they say it's smaller. Less - you read that right. Anywhere else they up-charge for the gluten-free version, even if it's just frozen Udi's. It wasn't so here! Note: their savory stuffed pastries like the spinach ones and potato ones aren't gluten-free because they're brought in by another vendor.

Charming cafe with extensive menu of creative specialty drinks as well as homemade gluten free pastries. Great place to work, chat or just vibe. Coffee was sooo good. I had a coconut caramel latte and my friend had a pistachio rose latte. I also indulged in a matcha blueberry scone. Yum!

pistachio cocoa dream ball and sample of turkish delights

Really cool Turkish cafe! They have a pretty big selection of vegan food items. When I went I was curious about the Turkish delights, and the girl at the counter was so sweet and let me try one of the bites they usually give out with the coffee as a sample. She was really nice, I came around an hour before closing so they were out of many baked goods however she said that if I wanted something that wasn't there she could go to the back and check if they had more. Turkish delight might not be my thing, the sample tasted pretty good I think but I'm not sure that I would want to eat more than a few small bites. Instead I opted for a pistachio cocoa dream ball, which was basically a creamy pistachio mixture encased in chocolate and was really delicious. It had an EXTREMELY strong pistachio flavor so I would definitely advise you only get it if you are a big fan of pistachio. Very unique selection! Might not align exactly with my tastes but I really enjoyed trying some new things. Highly recommend!

Golden mylk latte

Really cute cafe around Lincoln square that sells breads, cookies, Turkish delight, coffee, matcha and more. It's definitely on the pricier side but the drinks and food are all high quality. I got a piece of spicy potato bread and a golden mylk latte that was $12 total. The golden milk drink had a toasty, nutty flavor that is perfect as a fall drink when it's chilly out. All the components of the drink go super well together. I wish I was a coffee drinker but the Turkish coffee options look amazing and unique. Service is very friendly and prompt. Definitely come here and give this place a try!

Got the maple maca and pecan latte (hot) --it was okay. The maca overpowered the drink. A bit expensive ($8). I went right when they opened and got sick service. Calm and quiet vibe, could come here and cowork if you're early enough

I wanted to try the Turkish coffee but the cafe was super packed and there was no available seating so I opted to get a brown sugar maple matcha to go instead. There is a very large menu along with additional seasonal drinks that were offered. My latte was sweet but the maple did not overpower the matcha. There were so many baked treats on display as well. I'm glad that I got to see how they made the Turkish coffee while I was waiting for my drink.

Matcha & Green Power Bagel Sandwich

Oromo cafe has so many unique drinks on their menu, including a whole bunch of different matcha creations! My friend and I tried the raspberry matcha and the strawberry matcha. Both were delicious and you could tell the matcha was high quality. We also tried the green power bagel sandwiches which had pesto, balsamic, and a bunch of greens. I love that they had this option for vegans, but I will say the amount of greens was a bit heavy. They do have a selection of tables available for dining in, but they do fill up fast on the weekends. They also have a section of their menu dedicated to Turkish coffees and I would love to go back to try those.

This was a nice, cozy café that was a great place to get some work done. I ordered an iced latte which was pretty good, and a spicy potato pogaca, which was delicious! It was my first time trying pogaca, and it was warm and cozy tasting, with a subtle spice that was lovely.

Matcha Tea

Cute Turkish cafe. We had just had ice cream nearby, so I chose to have something simple; a matcha tea. I'm not sure what heating device they use on the other side of the counter, but that was the hottest beverage I've had. It took quite a while for the tea to cool to a drinking temperature. The menu has some unique and interesting items, so I'm looking forward to returning to try some of their special items.

Turkish coffee shop in Lincoln Square. I've been meaning to try this cafe sooner but finding parking around here is so difficult. Even on a Monday morning, there was construction happening on Lincoln, and parking was very challenging. They have plenty of coffee options and pastries. I figured since I'm in a Turkish coffee shop, I should order that. I had a double coffee with oat milk and sugar free vanilla. They make their own milk alternatives! I thought that was neat. I have never had Turkish coffee like this before so I don't know if it's supposed to be served the way I received it. It was thick and almost grainy. For a brief moment I wondered if some of the sand got into the coffee. The coffee flavor is strong so I couldn't really taste their oatmilk and the vanilla.

Oromo Cafe is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city because it serves Turkish Coffee! I was admittedly bit intimidated on not knowing how to drink it. It's served with a delish Turkish Delight making this is a unique experience for Coffeephiles. Second time doing this and this time I didn't drink the grounds ! While I typically go on my own Oromo has a lot of seating to work and meet with others. Weekends are usually very busy, So it's buzzing inside with good conversation. Staff is great here! #turkishcoffee #turkishdelight

Still adore Oromo - The strawberry cashew cream bagel is so nourishing and fresh! I crave it often :) Their patio is also great, and in such a perfect Lincoln Square location! We love bringing our dog, as well!! Employees are still great too!

Hazelnut Horchata Latte

Came here this morning! Big space would be great for working. Staff was friendly! It was a bit of a wait but there were quite a few people, I didn't mind! They were selling local art by people which I loved I brought a little egg magnet home! I tried their speciality drink the iced horchata. So delicious! I want to come back and try the golden milk!

Amazing happy hour deals too, we were able to order the limoncello, mussels, and french onion soup for half the price. All the dishes were delish. I think the smashed potatoes were my fave. Our waitress was SO sweet and attentive. The atmosphere was lovely too/not too loud, we sat outside. Overall 10/10 experience! I'd totally come back again.

It pains me to say this because I have genuinely had a love affair with Le Sud for years, but my…read morerelationship with this restaurant is officially over, at least under the current management. Over the last several months, I have had multiple uncomfortable interactions with the current manager, and each time I have left feeling like my business was more of an inconvenience than something the restaurant actually wanted. I made a reservation for one specifically because I wanted to avoid some of the awkwardness that has occurred during my previous visits. I arrived for my reservation and was about to be seated on the patio when the manager approached the server who was seating me and questioned him about what he was doing. He then told the server that I should not be seated at a four-top because I was dining alone. To be clear, I did not select the table. The restaurant selected the table and was in the process of seating me there. I wasn't asking for a particular table, I wasn't late, and I wasn't trying to take a table away from a large party. The restaurant was also nowhere near full. There were plenty of open tables both inside and outside. The server then asked if I would be willing to sit inside instead. I explained that I had specifically planned to sit on the patio. At that point, because the manager was standing there and the entire situation had already created an uncomfortable experience, I decided it simply wasn't worth it and left. As I was outside, the server came after me, apologized, and said that if I wanted to come back in, they could seat me. I sat down but after 10 minutes, I decided to leave. After leaving, I actually came back about 10 minutes later because I decided I owed it to myself to address the issue directly with the manager rather than simply leave frustrated. I explained to the manager that I felt it was unprofessional to allow a customer to arrive for a reservation, begin being seated, and then intervene in front of them to tell the server that the customer shouldn't be seated at that table. If there are specific seating preferences or restrictions regarding tables, that should be figured out before the customer is being walked to the table. It should not become the customer's problem after the fact. I also explained that this wasn't about today's interaction alone. It was the accumulation of multiple experiences over the past several months. I went from being someone who visited almost every week to someone who barely wants to come anymore because I don't want to deal with the feeling that I'm somehow inconveniencing the restaurant by being there. The manager apologized, but then qualified the apology by saying "if" he made me feel that way. He then made a point of saying that his behavior was not discriminatory because, as he is a minority, as he pointed to his skin color. I found that response equally unprofessional. Whether or not someone intends to make a customer feel unwelcome does not change the experience the customer is having. And pointing to one's own identity as evidence that their behavior could not possibly be discriminatory does nothing to address the actual concern being raised. I also didn't make mention of race, I just said in all the years that I've come here, I've never seen it happen to anyone else and it's happened me me 4 times this summer. I wasn't asking him to agree with my interpretation of his behavior. I was explaining a repeated pattern and how it has affected my experience as a longtime customer. I also previously wrote to the restaurant about my concerns a couple of months ago and never received a response. So unfortunately, I don't have much confidence that this review will result in anything either. That's the most disappointing part of all of this. I really liked Le Sud. I wanted to continue coming here. I have years of positive experiences with this restaurant. I don't expect special treatment. I expect the same basic courtesy any paying customer should receive: to make a reservation, be seated appropriately, enjoy my meal, and leave. Unfortunately, I didn't get to have my meal today.

We ordered the spicy feta and Kalamata olive dip as well as the Lahmacun pizza. Massive portions each. For entrees, we did the branzino and seafood tagliatelle pasta. For the branzino we thought it would come as a whole fish but we received a tiny piece of fish with tons of rice and veggies. To all the food items, I want to say well seasoned, cooked to perfection. I didn't feel the need to add anything to any dish - I was very impressed. My only reason for giving this establishment 4 stars is because they cut off the brunch service early and my entire reason for visiting was to indulge in the buffet style Turkish breakfast.
