I'm not sure what the hype is about. The appetizer we ordered was the onion toast. It looked burnt, and unfortunately, it tasted burnt too. It had very little flavor. The rigatoni was just okay and honestly very average. The pierogi was good, but nothing great. For dessert, we ordered the croissant, which wasn't sweet and didn't have much flavor either. We were pretty disappointed with the meal overall. Our server was extremely casual, and whenever we asked him questions, he was very nonchalant and didn't really offer any helpful feedback or recommendations. Overall, it was a pretty underwhelming experience. Worst of all, they charge a 25% gratuity on every check, which I found kind of ridiculous. Definitely not going back.
Absolutely wonderful experience! Daisies has a cute interior that is warm and intimate, and their staff follows suit. Our server helped with some suggestions and questions and was incredibly kind in her help. Everything is a based on a farm to table concept, which is apparent in the taste of the food. To start, our party got the potted carrots and THE overpriced tomato. Nice appetizer portion for a party of 4. For our mains, I opted to get the stracci and my partner the cavatelli. I was incredibly satisfied by both plates. Both were fresh and delicious. The restaurant does get busy and fill quickly. While waiting for our party for our reservation, we saw multiple people unable to dine due to the popularity of the restaurant. Highly recommend booking in advance!
The more I think about it, the more I realize I didn't really like it that much - mainly because there's no urgency or part of me that genuinely wants to return. Maybe going shortly after a trip to Italy ruined me a little lol, but I didn't fully understand the hype. The pasta was good, just not life-changing. I've honestly had better pasta elsewhere in Chicago. The agnolotti was my favorite. I liked the balance of flavors with the ricotta filling, although I thought the roe was a little unnecessary. It could've used a different topping or supplement that complemented the dish better. The pierogies were also pretty good. They had decent flavor and were cooked well (actually al dente, which I appreciated). The sauce itself was good, but it wasn't distributed evenly, so some bites had much more flavor than others. The carbonara was just okay to me. It lacked flavor, and I wish the sauce had been thicker and more cohesive. It broke. I did appreciate that the pasta was properly cooked, but overall, I thought all of the sauces could've been seasoned better. I might come back to try some of the other dishes, but I'm not exactly rushing to make another reservation.
Daisies has been on my Chicago food bucket list for the longest. We finally decided to go to celebrate our anniversary. This had me feeling like a kid on a milk carton because I've been missing out! The service was exquisite. We were greeted and wished a happy anniversary upon checking in. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us understand what we might like based on our preferences. This spot had more seating than I anticipated and there are tables that can accommodate large groups. The aesthetic was giving industrial whimsical bookstore. They also had the jams pumping but not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Now for the food: - Homemade ruffles and sour cream and onion dip: This was a must get in my opinion. - Simple green salad: I feel like I can trust that Daisies doesn't source their produce from Taylor Farms, so we felt safe ordering. Man oh man I didn't know how much I needed this in my life. The dressing and the cheese were unmatched. - Mushroom Tagliatelle: Thebomb.com. You can taste the freshness in the pasta and the ragu was so savory yet not too heavy. - Summer seasonal pasta with sweet corn, jalepenos and cheese. The pasta was stuffed and had a delectable cream sauce. It was simply perfection. -1/2 chicken: Simply put this may be the best damn chicken I've ever had in my life. To think we were almost going to skip a protein and get another pasta but this was so good. I don't think words can do it justice. We had to get dessert because we knew that their pastries get a lot of praise throughout the city and beyond. We ordered the sourdough waffle topped with peaches and pecans. In the word of Foxcito.....FathaGawd!!!! Like Steph Curry...just don't miss We will definitely be back there are so many things we want to try.
Finally got around to trying Daisies after seeing so many Reddit recommendations, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The pastas were phenomenal. They were all super unique and honestly so tasty. My favorite was definitely the beet pasta, which I never would've expected. We also came early for happy hour drinks, which was a nice bonus. Service was great, and I especially appreciated that they straight up tell you about the service charge and that it's the tip instead of trying to sneak it onto the bill at the end. I wish more restaurants did that. The restaurant itself is very cute too! Overall, I'd definitely come back.
Yes yes and yes, a million times yes! I think this is up there with my favorite Chicago restaurants. The food was AMAZING, the service was excellent (they were very sweet in helping my party understand what dish would be best for us) and the overall ambiance of the place is so chic! Will definitely be bringing guests here in the future. Also is a very cute date spot
Let me just say, I was blown away. My co-workers raved about this place and I was shocked I never heard of it. I mean, I really do try to stay up on the best restaurants in Chicago but I NEVER heard of it. When I reached out to a friend who is a popular food influencer , he never heard of it either, so we immediately made a date. My friend dropped me off at Daisies on a Tuesday evening, while he looked for a park. When I walked in, the ambience was so electric and enticing I just knew we were in for a treat. I couldn't believe how packed it was for a Tuesday, and when I was shown right to my table by the friendly hostess, I was even more impressed. When my date came in, our waitress appeared. She was beautiful, friendly and ready to show us a great time. She gave us the menu run-down, readily answered our questions and got the show on the road. For a cocktail, I ordered the Sour, in the Green, a delightful and refreshing blend of mezcal, soka, green strawberries and tarragon. My date, a beer lover, ordered the Moody Tongue pilsner and Spiteful IPA, which he loved. For apps, I was told the house-made ruffles with onion dip were a must-have but she said, unfortunately, they were out. Awww, bummer! However, she appeared moments later and said she was able to secure the VERY LAST ORDER just for us. Game? Who knows, but when that order was placed in front of us and we dove in, and were more than satisfied. Our other app were the delicious potted carrots...a puréed delight containing pickled carrots, duck fat, and gnoccho fritto. Yum! As for entrees, I ALMOST went with the duck bolognese but when she described it as an elevated Hamburger Helper, I quickly declined. I haven't made HH since...EVER, so I wasn't about to order it on a rare night out with an amazingly handsome man, so I went with the lamb sugo. And it was all that. He ordered rigatoni and let's just say it was out of this world. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Service was on-point and everything one could want in a date night. I pride myself on choosing great restaurants and that's why I rarely leave bad reviews. Daisies lived up to its hype and I can't wait to go back!
Had a reservation 6pm on a Saturday. Such a cozy space with very friendly and attentive staff. Apps: Started with the French onion dip + smoked trout roe, and cabbage w beef tongue. The potato chips the dip came with were massive, fantastic, ruffle cut slices. Dip was good, trout roe ($18) gave it that extra pop of flavor. Our favorite dish of the night was definitely the beef tongue, so tender and balanced with textures and acidity. Mains were: Pappardelle (mushroom and carrot ragu) - I liked this best out of the three pastas, pasta was very tender. Cappelletti (beef, celery root fonduta) - felt a little under al dente in the sections where it was pasta pressed against pasta. The beef filling was on the average side, a simple, braised beef. Strozzapreti (duck bolognese + parm reggiano) - pasta was cooked perfectly, but the sauce leaned salty. Our half chicken arrived once we were finishing the pastas. Juicy and tender, with the fat/skin rendered out nicely. The sauce was good, but felt the chicken itself was lacking seasoning/flavor. The remaining duck ragu came in handy for extra saltiness. Finished the meal with the terrazzo cheesecake, and gelato scoop trio (roasted vanilla, peanut butter cookie dough brownie, and frutti di bosco sorbet). Cheesecake was light and wiggly, definitely contained some gelatin and cubes of strawberry jello; not too sweet. I enjoyed the peanut butter gelato the most, was very tasty mixed with the sorbet to make a little pb and j concoction. They also gave a little slice of chocolate cake as we were there for a celebration. Overall, appetizers were a hit, with the dessert coming in second, and entrees following thereafter. Was ~$240 w the included 25% service fee between 3 people. The food feels like 3.5 stars as the food was inconsistently good across courses, but the service/ambiance pushes it to a 4. Worth a try if you can get a reservation.
We were super excited to try daisies and luckily got a reservation for Friday night. The ambience is simple yet elegant. The place was particularly loud that night. We quickly got seated and our server seemed pretty excited and helpful. We got some beer and decided to order the onion dip as our starter. It was soo tasty! Loved the ruffles chips with it. We then ordered the Pappardelle and the Rigatoni. The Pappardelle was out of this world and easily one of the tastiest pastas I have ever tried. The rigatoni was ok in my opinion, I was mainly excited to taste the lemon breadcrumbs but I couldn't taste the lemon at all. Overall a nice casual pasta place with great service. The prices were very reasonable too.

Came for brunch because dinner reservations were all booked up. They only have the raviolo carbonara during Sunday brunch so I had to get it. It was AMAZING. The salty pancetta complimented the creamy egg yolk and cheese. My friend got the scrambled egg bruschetta with a side of bacon. He said it was the best eggs he's ever had. I tried it and I must admit the truffle oil was an incredible addition to the eggs. For drinks we both got the cold brews which were both strong and bold. Service was good. Nothing to complain about
Sunday Brunch is magnificent at Daisies. Our meal consisted of lots of shareables starting with their perfectly crisp breakfast potatoes. Full of flavor, soft in the middle and sprinkled with house cheese on top. For mains - we went all pasta - the parapadella was spot cooked and the mushroom Raghu was rich and delicious. We also tried the beet raviolis which had the perfect sweetness and well rounded with the ricotta. To wrap things up we got a selection of pastries and cookies for take away. We enjoyed them immensely when we got home. Service was top notch. It was Father's Day and super busy but we were well taken care of and enjoyed the friendly service.
Great food. Excellent service, pretty humid night 78%. Wish they would've closed in the window. Wife was uncomfortable the whole time Came for our anniversary. Nice place with unique pasta and cocktails. The beet agnolotti was my favorite. The onion dip was pretty good but not amazing. The ice cream sandwich was also good but not cold enough. Was more like a think whipped cream not an ice cream. Would skip that and try maybe the crunch cake for desert. Our waters were never less than 3/4 full Place was pretty lively but not too wild. To start- traffic was horrendous and we were afraid they would cancel us- but they kept us on the docket, which was sooo nice, especially since they were so busy. The food- just WOW! So good. We of course started with the homemade ruffles and French onion dip. For real- I could have drank that dip! The pasta special calibran pepper ricotta and butternut squash ravioli pockets...just shut up and get in my mouth!!!! Me and three others shared a four pasta plates so we could get a taste of a smattering of the options. Two bottles of wine and a very delicious old-fashioned made the dinner complete. Service was terrific and the restaurant was lovely and fresh. It was my brother's birthday and they brought him a slice of a chocolate torte which he enjoyed for free. Such a lovely night - definitely check this place out! read more

Stopped by Daisies for happy hour while in the area and wanting to try somewhere new! The happy hour menu was pretty limited, but the cocktails offered something different from your usual selections, which we appreciated. We tried two and enjoyed them both! The onion dip was delicious and paired perfectly with the crispy chips. The space was clean, open, and spacious, with a comfortable, casual vibe. Service was decent. Overall, a pleasant experience! Nothing that necessarily has me rushing back, but glad we stopped in and gave it a try. read more

First time coming for lunch and wasn't expecting to order at the counter, but it worked out well given how busy it was. Food was still very very tasty and portions good sized. We absolutely loved the cookie and liked the flavor of our sandwiches. Both were a tiny bit salty, but one of us likes it that way. No mandatory service charge at lunch and still great service so a good choice for a nicer meal. My only disappointment was no pasta available for the lunch menu. We will be back. read more
I finally understand the hype around daisies! After waiting to visit here for a long time, the food and experience certainly did not disappoint. We were had a reservation for a Saturday night and while they were incredibly busy, they still seated us very quickly. Reservations were tough, but I recommend setting alerts on OpenTable as a lot of cancellations happen last minute. There's a $15 per person fee associated with making the reservation, but that goes towards your final check when you dine in. Service was definitely on top of it making sure that all guest were comfortable and well accommodated even though they were serving pretty much a full restaurant. I appreciated hearing some background about the food, especially how the vegetables are sourced from the chef's brothers farm. The appetizer was great! It include fried cheese, curds, and fresh veggies. I came with a great dipping sauce. It was a great way to start our meal off. I tried the mushroom sour and was impressed! It was definitely a unique flavor combination, but the a quiet made it well balanced. I got the Stracci or lamb pasta for my meal and every bite was wonderful. The server also recommended eating the pasta family style, which I thought was fun! Such a fun and thoughtful environment. Will definitely recommend this to others visiting Chicago! read more

We were so lucky to stop by on a busy Friday night and snag a seat at the bar. From the moment we walked in, we felt very welcomed. We didn't realize how large the main dining area was and it was filled with great energy. Music was great and the bar seats were so comfortable. The hosts were super welcoming and the servers so friendly and attentive. We tried the onion dip which was delicious. The looks were deceiving--we thought we'd run out of dip given the generous amount of ruffle chips (perfectly fried btw), but actually had plenty of dip to spare once we finished the last ruffle. Our drinks were also spot on-seasonal kombucha was perfectly tart and middlebrow beer had honeyed notes of apricot. Next we had an amazingly prepared pork collar with porcini rub and pierogis with delicate mussels. The texture was delightful. But omg, you have to try the trout. The crisp of the skin and the crunchy nuts were just a fantastic and flavorful texture combo. We also tried their honey cake--LOVE! And seasonal plum sorbet--YUM! Such a wonderful evening at Daisies and looking forward to trying their other dishes including grabbing a coffee when they open back up in the early morning! read more
Delicious spot when you're craving hand made pasta! We were able to snag a last minute reservation when we had friends in town and this was one of our favorite spots while they were here. The service was wonderful and everyone was so friendly! It's much bigger inside, but still cozy with the different rooms/areas! Highly recommend! read more
This spot had reservations gone in minutes and I get why, but it didn't fully blow me away. Vibes were just alright. We sat in the back so it was quieter, but still kinda loud overall and felt more casual than expected. Better for groups than a romantic dinner. 6.5/10. Service was great though. Our server was funny, super attentive, and paced everything perfectly. Loved the little details like switching plates and checking in at the right times. 8/10. The sweet onion toast was sooo good. Reminded me of Au Cheval's bone marrow + jam combo. Crispy & flavorful. 9.5/10. All the pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and not oily at all which I LOVED. The strozzapreti was super comforting with great duck flavor. 8.5/10. The beet agnolotti was really unique, tasted like a cream cheese lox everything bagel. 8/10. The cappelletti was more mid for me, good filling and sauce but nothing crazy. 7/10. The pork collar had an interesting texture like medium rare steak, but I'm just not a big pork fan. 6/10. Now the desserts... BEST part of the meal. The chocolate pavlova was insane. First time trying it and the textures were crazy good with the sorbet, mousse, and crunch. 9.5/10. The cookie dough brownie ice cream was also one of the best flavors I've had. 9.5/10. They also gave us a free chocolate cake for our celebration which was a nice touch, but it tasted pretty basic. Blueberry soda and chips with creme fresh were pretty good. The chips seemed like they were fried in the morning though and we came for dinner so they were slightly stale. I wish they quickly refried them so they would be hot. The pierogis were decent but the bottoms were a little cold. The ragu was too salty and didn't have much flavor. Fried veggies and cheese curds were just okay. Didn't feel like the blueberry Croissant was worth it for dessert. Food is okay overall but not worth the price in my opinion. Also the first glass of water I was given has weird black specs in it. We sat at the bar and the service was good overall. read more

Amazing pasta accompanied by even better service. The team helped us pair a bottle of wine with our family style meal which went above and beyond. Fresh, inviting, and intimate atmosphere that wasn't too loud compared to others. Very limited street parking, would recommend walking or ride share. Overall, the food was seasonally fresh and innovative! Loved the apps and variety of pastas and cheeses on the dessert menu! read more
Food: our favorite and most unique was probably the ravioli. Everything else was really solid. The only thing I would pass on next time was the chicken because it was dry. The food was amazing, drinks were fine and service was good but uneven (even though they put us in the way back and it was less hectic than main dining room) so taking off a star for that and their auto gratuity policy, which generally I support but at 25% and that they don't allow you to transfer your bar tab to your table is lazy. Will shout out that they were great about subbing dishes to account for my friend not eating meat. Our server marked up the menu to show which dishes could be altered vs no go. The food: - potted carrots - so fun but wish there was more carrot dip for the amount of pillow empanadas - stracci- ok but very rich, actually had to get these to go - rigatoni - good but missed the whole experience of the njuda mixed into the cook - ravioli - by far our fave dish of the night even with the bacon on the side for me Cocktails were fine but nothing too inventive. Ambiance was quieter since we were in the back room. As we walked out, saw more than a few empty tables but a lot of ppl waiting by the door so could have been an off service night overall. read more

Restaurant Week Review! Daisies offers a true elevated "farm to table" experience. The menu changes with what is in season to ensure ingredients on menu are fresh and high quality. When I visited, my group decided to do the four course tasting menu and share most of the plates. We got two rounds of drinks and one person got the wine pairings to the tasting menu. My favorite drinks by far were the Mushroom Margarita and Aplini. My friend also got an espresso martini that they kindly made decaf instead of with cold brew. For course one, we got the Sweet Onion Toast, Burrata, and Beets. This collectively was our least impressive course of the evening. The flavors were good but didn't sing like some of the other dishes we tried. My favorite was the Sweet Onion Toast but if you like beets, that may be your favorite option. For course two, we got the Pappardelle and Winter Squash Cannelloni. This was by far our favorite course of the night. The savory versus sweet pasta options displayed how different the flavor profiles can be with the same pasta base. We all loved both of these. For course three, we got the Pork Collar and Celery Root Cake. Everyone enjoyed the Pork Collar but I didn't try it. I was very impressed by the Celery Root dish which had freshly baked brussel sprouts and what tasted like a polenta cake. This was a surprisingly good and fresh feeling dish but not very filling. For course four, we got the Dark Chocolate Tart, Vanilla Bean Rice Pudding, and Butter Cake. My personal favorite was the Butter Cake as it was sweet, cake had a nice bite to it, and loved the sweetness balance. My least favorite was the Vanilla Bean Rice Pudding. Overall, this was the perfect way to get a true taste of Daisies menu offering. The pasta course blew me away. It was a bit frustrating that during restaurant week, they do not offer their standard a la carte menu nor their happy hour special. I wish this was clearly noted to guests. Either way, it will give me an excuse to come back and try more soon enough! Tip: All checks have a 25% service charge to ensure employee share equal, quality wages. I can only review the morning cafe part of this restaurant, but it's a fantastic spot to get a pastry and work or relax. Plenty of seating, not too busy on a weekday morning, friendly service, and really delicious pastries. I loved the giardiniera bun - so unique and delicious. I've only heard good things about their lunch/dinner, so I'll have to try them eventually, but I think their pastries deserve some hype too! read more
I think Daisies lives up to the hype pretty well especially since their menus rotate and with how they source ingredients you can tell that this place has a certain quality and reputation that it continues to maintain. The service is really good as the staff explains the dishes and their favorites well and the pastas were various other dishes were really good to share amongst our group. The sauces for the pastas are super rich and flavorful and will truly be an experience for anyone who dines here. This place is definitely a top Italian place for me in Chicago. read more
I've been eyeing Daisies for a while now, and I finally got the chance to check them out yesterday! They're usually booked out, but luckily I was in the area on a weekday and lucked out. We waited ~15 minutes before we received a text letting us know that our table was ready. The inside is super cute and cozy! Definitely a cute spot for a date. After some heavy contemplation, we ordered the ravioli & pappardelle. The ravioli came out first, and I was immediately a tad bit disappointed... it was $28 and came with 6 pieces of ravioli. I pushed my disappointment aside and tried it out, and it was yummy. It was cheesy and paired well with the sauce, bacon, and tomatoes! Very yummy but not sure if it's worth the price. Shortly after, they served us with the pappardelle. It certainly was a larger portion size than the ravioli, so I was certainly relieved. I'm honestly not a huge fan of red sauce pasta, but it was actually pretty delicious and not too sour (?). I also think the sauce paired very well with the mushrooms. Overall, I do agree that the pasta was certainly delicious. However, considering the price point of the food items and the fact that they charge you a 25% automatic gratuity... I am not sure if it's a place I could confidently recommend to other people. I'm certain there are better pasta spots in Chicago. read more
for all the attention & awards, I thought daisies would be so much more expensive than it was - the establishment is very farm to table energy but with Michelin recognition. our waiter was incredibly laid back and advised us on the specials based on fresh produce - for a starter we went with the onion dip because how can they really make that classy? ill tell you how: homemade chips that dont taste like dirt or burnt kettle crisps. thick cut yet still snappy and crispy wavy chips with enough oil to crisp apart on your tongue. I am a salt girl but even without clear shards fo salt on each chip these were the perfect amount. the dip was cool and creamy, more of a tzhaiki like coolness than a zingy guilt ridden onion dip - I tried the Agnolotti purely to eat purple pasta. the inside was filled with beet puree and ricotta making the dish hearty and filling. it was slightly earthy as the beet flavor powered through more than just the light sweet sauce. the roe on top miraculously made the dish slightly fishy everywhere to the degree where I asked the waiter if there was fish inside the pasta.....I loved it - the Cappellacci was a flavor rollercoaster. right away you taste the sweet summer squash, a warm and comforting taste. as you swallow your throat is punched with a chili kick. all on top of cloud like pasta pieces - the Pappardelle was about the pasta, the al dente thick cuts showcased the housemate pasta. maintaining an al dente doughy goodness with the quality of the ingredients keeping the pasta fresh and far from what comes in a box. read more
Loved daises!!!! I went for restaurant week & got 3 courses for $45 + we ordered the onion dip and chips. My favorite was the sweet onion toast. It was AMAZING and tasted like french onion soup in toast form. I also loved mushroom pasta - it was so flavorful and I loved the thick noodle shape. I also loved the onion dip and chips. So long story short, everything was a 10/10. Definitely make a reservation they are always packed. And beware if you paid a despot for your reservation and are splitting the bill with friends - they subtract it from your tab. Our server did not mention this at all so it was very confusing at the end while trying to split the check. Overall had a good experience - they also brought out a mini price of chocolate cake for my birthday!!! So nice! read more

Daisies was such an incredible experience, everything from the food and ambiance to the service was fantastic. We started off with the chips and dip, which were literally so good. It was probably the best French onion dip I've ever had. We also ordered the potted carrots, which reminded me of popovers. You just take a small bite to open them up and fill them with the carrot mixture. The pastas were incredible, and my personal favorite was the rigatoni. 5/5 read more
I was looking forward to this restaurant ever since I booked the reservation a month ago, and it lived up to its expectations for the most part! Immediately upon arriving, it felt very lively with their cafe near the front entrance. The atmosphere and vibe felt like a modern farmhouse feel and the host was very welcoming which set the initial tone of our experience. We were seated early while we waited for the rest of our table to arrive. In the meantime, we ordered a matcha latte and black and tan from the cafe that serves La Colombe coffee. It was good, but nothing too special. Once the rest of our party arrived, we all opted in the restaurant week experience. We all started off with the cinnamon brown sugar coffee cafe, which was dense and not overly sweet. For our main courses and sides, we got 1 of each since there were 4 of us and we shared all of the dishes. We got the eggs benedict, quiche, biscuits and gravy, pappardelle, breakfast potatoes, sage maple sausage, bacon, and simple greens salad. We thought the eggs benedict had a unique flavor, we couldn't quite figure out what was on it, it seemed like collared greens and mushrooms but it unfortunately had an odd aftertaste. It wasn't bad, just something different. The quiche had a nice flavor but we were disappointed with the portion size, the quiche was very small and it came with a side salad that seemed like it was added so the dish would look more full. The biscuits and gravy had a nice flavor but the biscuit was slightly dry, I think it could've used more gravy. The pappardelle was the star of the meal, the flavors worked really well together, especially with the mushroom ragu. For the sides, the breakfast potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crispy, definitely the best side. We were pleasantly surprised with the sausage, the texture was perfect and it tasted very fresh. The simple greens salad was unfortunately disappointing, it wasn't anything special, I wish we got another side of breakfast potatoes instead. Lastly, the bacon was rich in flavor. Overall, we had a great experience, there were a few things we didn't like about the food but for the most part, it was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely for a Sunday brunch. I was late on planning anything for NYE and was happy to see that there were last min availability for the prefix dinner! I've heard people talk about Daisies over the course of 2 years but never had the chance to make it in until last night. When it comes to special occasion prefix menus as well as restaurant week, it really sets the tone for whether or not I'd care to dine in for the regular a la carte menu in the future. Safe to say, I feel like they put on their best for NYE and we will 100% be coming back to try their regular menu. I feel the price was fair given NYE events typically cause price inflation in general. I'm hoping that their chips & dip are a regular menu item because something about it just hit different than normal chips and dip. Whoever is on chive chopping duty did their thing. We were wondering if the chips were homemade. My favorite part was honestly how each chip had a satisfying folded over texture instead of a standard flat circle. Maybe we'll go for caviar next time? By the end of the two starters and the chips, I honestly could've ended the meal there, but the beef and pasta dish with butternut squash were too good to take home and we cleared everything. Dessert came out in two hefty portions which we did end up grabbing boxes for although I thought the apple dessert would be best eaten the day of and fresh. Service was a well oiled machine, despite the amount of diners, different employees quickly delivered food and cleared plates as fast as we finished. I could hear them checking in on each other throughout the night and making sure everyone was ok. I remember working by myself in a restaurant on Christmas and wish I had such a nice team working with me so I didn't have to suffer LOL. read more

This place seems like it is primarily catering to influencers. It is beautiful inside, but the air conditioning didn't seem to be working on a 90 degree day. We ordered a drink which was fine but nothing special. Then we had the potato chips and onion dip as a starter. It was a few slices of clearly burnt, unsalted potato and a scoop of sour cream with a few chives on top. It was flavorless and we couldn't even find a bartender to get us any salt. After that we decided not to stay for lunch. On top of that, the automatic 25% gratuity is just obnoxious especially when the service was subpar and we were sweating the whole time. read more

I had high hopes for Daisies and sadly at least for me it did not live up to the hype. Ambiance is beautiful and service was overall quick and efficient. Our server was quite friendly (but did not address the issue adequately). Sadly, I experienced an issue with the food. The famous onion dip was delicious. We ordered 3 different cocktails and they were great too. Our server recommended pierogi and said it was her favorite item in the menu. However, not only was it salty but the mussels were not properly purged. I got multiple rocks/ Pearl like things coming out of mussels. I informed the server about it after finding them from more than one mussel and she just asked "would you like another one made"- I don't think that would resolve the issue with the whole batch of mussels not purged. I bit into almost all mussels in my dish and learned all except one all had these rocks and grits in it. There was no resolution on it and I just did not finish my food and we paid the full bill inclusive of the 25% service charge automatically applied. At a well know restaurant like this, purging mussels seem like a basic food prep. I have never experienced anything like this and seafood pasta is generally my go to item in Italian restaurants. It was quite a disappointing experience due to the lack of food prep and no resolution. Yes! There is a gluten-free pasta that they can sub in for most pasta dishes! Many apps are also gluten-free and they have an amazing gluten-free cookie!

I am vegetarian and I noticed a lot of of vegetarian dishes but not so sure about vegan...- a lot of creamy sauces.
