We really enjoyed the thin crust pizza. I'm picky about pizza sauce and this one was the perfect consistency. Not too sweet. Crust was crunchy which is how I like it. Also tried the thick crust. Pete's is our go-to place for family dinners. There is plenty of room for large parties. The pizza is fantastic and the list of appetizers is even better. Pete's pizza has good food for kids. You should go try it. It has good spacing. You should go around 6:30 pm. It is awesome on Tuesday.

I ordered online and received an email saying my order would be ready in 20 minutes (even though their own menu says 45 minutes for deep dish). I arrived after 30 minutes no greeting, no acknowledgment. One employee was sitting and made no effort to assist. Another, a red-haired woman, just stared until I initiated the conversation. She told me it would actually take an hour and for me to come back. When I returned later, the same "sitting" employee made eye contact but still didn't offer help until a different staff member (the only courteous one) finally checked and brought out the order. To make things worse, the parking lot was cramped, and an employee's car was blocking us in. When I went back inside to ask for help, the same red-haired woman rolled her eyes and sighed before saying, "I'll see if he'll move." The male employee then came out visibly irritated, throwing his hands up as if we were inconveniencing him. His attitude was aggressive and unnecessary. For a restaurant with such a reputation, this kind of service is unacceptable. Regardless of how good the food might be (mediocre at best) the experience left a terrible impression. FYI folks. Pete's system doesn't sync with Doordash. Petes is going to deliver to the address they have on file as opposed to the DoorDash account address. And as we all know, there are times where we've been at someone else's home and use our DoorDash account to place an order. So please keep that in mind. Also they use their own drivers so you can't track them. I recently ordered and it was delivered to my friends house, but the DoorDash app said food being prepared. Can that get easier? read more

We had a group, pre-planned, booked, and they knew it would be separate checks, it ended up as 5 checks at the table. The waiter seemed unfriendly, unhappy about serving a group. No training, no greeting, just 'what do you want to drink' ok. Very rudimentary service. A colleague and I both got the lasagna, hers no meat, mine with meat. We were served the wrong ones. Because there was no meat in mine, I assumed that maybe the sauce had meat until she pointed out that hers was full of little bits of grey looking meat inside the pasta. That said, the meat was not preseasoned or flavored so she could only tell by the texture so too late to complain when you have eaten a third of it, so we did not. It was ok, but I would not return there for the lasagne. The restaurant was not crowded, 6-9pm. They were not too busy to give good service, but service was rudimentary, basic, not particularly polite either, waiter made it clear he was annoyed at people arriving separately and later separate checks. All of us have worked in service industry, none of us were difficult, no one wasted the waiters time by saying stupid stuff, or being indecisive, or sent anything back or complained. Friends pizza had artichoke, she asked me to taste it, it was incredibly salty, a few of us tried it, everyone agreed the restaurant should do something to change that. I told her to let them know, it was horribly salty. The bills came, with the option to pay electronically via the toast app, auto gratuity for 'large group' of 20% was added to each. There were 9 of us in the end, 8 ate food and one just had 2 beers. My bill had automatically added another 20%, I had to show each person how to remove that Extra 20% that was added, (a 40% tip is Not it) we all just paid the 20% large group grat; total tab was around $345, waiter made 20% so at least $70 tip from our table - for taking the order, delivering one round of entrees and mostly one round of drinks. We were there for 2 hours. Lots of empty tables around us. It made me realize how great I was as a server back in the day, and how being made to feel welcome affects whether you would return to a restaurant. read more

Pete's is AWESOME! I've been eating at and ordering from Pete's since the 90's. With all the nonexistant service and overpriced mediocre food these days, they shine and are my go to for all food. I like extra sauce and they always accomodate me. The food is the best and always plenty for the next day. There is a major Chicago pizza chain that used to be great, but started sending out dry and overcooked pizzas. I would ask for a good amount of sauce and please don't overcook in the special request section. I guess the cooks felt insulted and put hardly any sauce and burned it every time. After many management apologies and free pizzas, I just quit ordering from them. Not worth it. My compliments and thanks to Pete's management and the chefs. Came in before my daughter's track meet at my old alma matar Lane Tech up the street and ordered the Philly Cheese Chicken and it was delicious!! Even my daughter enjoyed hers and she's a picky eater. The Philly came on fresh bread with mozzarella's cheese, onions and green peppers. The chicken was sautéed to perfection with great flavor. The Philly comes with fries and a side of cole slaw and the cole slaw was also very good, nice and sweet, not bitter and bland. All food came out fresh made to order. The restaurant was not busy at all so wait time for our food was nothing, and actually it was empty and this was at 3:30pm on a Thursday. I believe they just opened up at 3pm, so I'm sure the after work and dinner patrons started to roll on in later. A great spot to eat at if you're in the area. read more

I ordered a 10-inch pizza in person at the counter, and I was told that the pizza would be done in approx 25 minutes. It was my first time there. I'm in town for work reasons, so I heard Chicago has some good pizza, so I decided to give it a try. So the young lady name Leah, called me and said that my pizza was ready, I go in to pick up my pizza up after working a 12 hour shift and they said that they must of gave it to another customer, and there was soe confusion among the staff, because one guy stated that my pizza was coming right up and I told him that Leah said that my pizza was given to someone else, so I asked whats the real story then i was told that it will be ready in about 20 more minutes. Unacceptable, I even asked for a manager and I was told that the manager was not there but will be back tomorrow 3/30/2026, so I asked for the trouble could you guys throw in some garlic bread or something and the lazy staff worker said that she couldn't because the only person that could do such a thing was the manager and they wont be there until the next day, so I'm not understanding how that would help me now. I usually don't write reviews, but for this terrible customer service, and not even willing to make it right for the customer after they gave my order to someone else, they really suck for that, and that's the memory I'll leave Chicago with after trying out their pizza, which wasn't even worth the trouble. Carry Out/Delivery Pizza Review Only- I found this place a couple of years ago when I was looking for a new pizza place to try. I live in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago and very few restaurants outside of my general seem to deliver (unless they are on the ordering apps). I was pleased to learn that they delivered to my address. The pizza always arrives within a reasonable timeframe (normally less than an hour) We have only ordered thin crust pizza from Pete's before, but it has always been consistently good. Some of the BEST pizza in the city. The dough and sauce is 10/10 and they know how to bake it just right. This place is a gem. The service is always fantastic. Really great atmosphere for families, they have alcohol of course, but it really feels that PIZZA is the 1st priority, bar second (not a loud place, but open and chill). So that was a nice surprise for me when my daughter and I just wanted pizza. We ordered the large thin crust pizza and it was pretty good! Super cheesy and it came out fast. It was just my daughter and I and we were super hungry and thought the medium would have been too small so we got the large. The large was actually pretty big and we ended up having to take half of it home. Which wasn't a bad idea. Inside was plenty of room, booths or tables available, and TVs as well. It was clean and inviting and the servers were fast and friendly. I would definitely come back! One thing I do want to point out is that their menu is not too extensive. So this is mainly a pizza restaurant. Sides like fries are available but don't go asking for no burgers lol. read more

We had take out pizza from here for a change and we were excited to try the Taco pizza. Unfortunately, the sauce style is sweet and that did not fit well with the taco seasoning and the ground meat was medium quality at best. Pete's is a great a spot to get a bite to eat and watch a game! The whole place is full of TVs and different seating options. They have tavern style pizza here but it's not quite as thin and crispy as I like it, but I can't dock them for my preference. They have a great takeout counter on the back side of the parking lot so don't go in the front door if you ordered out! Plenty of parking is available in their lot.
