Come early to avoid waiting in a long line. This place is 100% worth the hype and wait! They have an extensive list of menu for everything. What's really nice is they offer half portion of pasta so you can try more in one visit. My personal favorites were the meatballs and all pastas. The pasta was freshly made and satisfies every moment of your meal. Staff were incredibly friendly. Service is great but could be on the slower side - it's supposed to be a chill and fantastic dinner anyways so don't rush through your meal just to make it for your next event. Enjoy!

To start, I made a reservation but wasn't seated until 30 minutes after my allotted time. My name got lost on the seating list? We were seated between two large parties and were not waited on for another 15, no water, bread or anything. The food was good for the price and came out in good time. But the service as a whole just made the experience stressful and on uncomfortable. Wish I had a better experience.

This place was pretty good! We ordered family style dishes, and I got to try a variety of the pastas, meat dishes, and of course the complimentary bread, which the waiters had kept bringing more and more, which we truly appreciated!! The menu is pretty extensive. The portions are not super big though for the price, I wish they were larger. Nevertheless, the food was fantastic. I really enjoyed the gnocchi dish, and the pasta alla vodka dish. The place had two floors, and I could tell is was super popular by how many people were dining in. There was like no empty table! The servers were fantastic.

Exceptional service and small plates, the perfect dining experience all around. Nestled on the corner of N State Street Quartino is packed with great food and an enforceable dining experience...reservations are a must. We ventured out as a family of four, made reservations in advance for a Saturday night and were ready to feast. The wait staff was s vey accommodating, especially with how busy the bar and restaurant are, think packed in like sardines. Huddled around a small table barely big enough to fit 4 chairs and the abundance of plates, glasses bottles of wine not to mention the never ending small plates, you felt like you were at Sunday dinner. The menu is set up for sharing and you might think it won't be enough but you will still have plenty leftover. Starting with warm olives, minestrone, fresh burrata and tomatoes, and galleria white bean dip with plenty of grilled bread we were content, the flavors complimented each other and were full of fresh flavor. We then moved on to pasta, tortellini with peas and prosciutto, white clam linguine and tagliatelle bolognese, each one better than the next. The perfectly cooked pasta with tons of garlic and fresh herbs, meats and cheese were incredible. When we thought we couldn't eat anything else we were offered dessert. The warm hot chocolate cake with vanilla gelato was rich and delicious and the caramel bananas with biscotti and vanilla gelato were decadent and delicious! A truly great dining experience, totally worth the close quarters.

I had a reservation at Quartino, and we were seated but never assigned a server. The restaurant wasn't that busy given that it was 9:30pm on a Sunday, and we were seated for 30 minutes without any service until I asked someone walking by if we could place an order. Throughout the meal we never got any refills on our water, still didn't have a server, and weren't able to get our check. Luckily there are QR codes at the table so we were able to pay and leave after we finished eating. The Pappardelle Al Sugo Di Pomodoro pasta tasted fresh and the meat was flavorful, but it could've used more sauce and salt. The Campania pizza was bland, had soggy crust in the middle, and tasted like ricotta with some cherry tomatoes on top with a hint of garlic.

Still great pizza and staff. Much busier with the summer now. Caesar salad had some anchovies taste to it, so I preferred it not having it, but it was still good.

Great place. The inside can be a bit tight but seems most restaurants in Chicago are this way. Love the fondue. The small places are great to try many items.

Came for dinner during the St. Patrick's Day parade, and it was a bit busy without a reservation. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated, so I would definitely recommend making one ahead of time. When ordering, the dishes came out one at a time as they were prepared, which worked well for us since we weren't sharing. I ordered the eggplant parmesan, and my boyfriend got the gnocchi. Both were good, but his dish was definitely more flavorful. Parts of my eggplant tasted like the skillet it was baked in, which took away from the overall flavor. The bread served at the beginning was also pretty good. Our server was nice and attentive, and the restaurant itself was clean. Overall, a solid experience with a few minor drawbacks.

So good my partner and I came back twice in one trip. I love that you can do half orders to try more. The Cesar salad has crispy crouton crumble. Can't go wrong with any of the pastas. And you have to get a tiramisu to end the night. The pizzas look really good too but we didn't get to try that. Always very busy and noisy. Tables are a little small and tight space but the food is worth it o

Super busy and vibey spot for dinner. We got the funghi pizza and pappardelle pasta to share. I thought they were both good but nothing too crazy or outstanding. My favorite part of the meal was the hugo spritz. It was the best compared to the limoncello and grapefruitcello spritzes. The service was excellent, quick, and attentive. It would have been nice to be able to sit outside for sunset but the inside of the restaurant still felt cozy and intimate.

Everything was sooooo good. The funghi pizza is easily one of the top 3 best pizzas I've had. The pizza had a thin, crispy crust that wasn't dry at all. The mushroom flavor was perfect 9/10. The fondue was 8/10 and so good with the bread, though the bread itself was a little stale which made it a 5/10 on its own. The pappardelle with braised beef was also amazing. The meat was super soft and flavorful. The only thing that could make it better would be slightly more al dente noodles, but still a 9/10 dish. The vibes were amazing. Lively, fun, and perfect for an affordable casual date night in Chicago.

I went here to catch up with some friends, so I apologize that there is a lack of photos for some dishes, but it was all well appreciated at the moment. For reference, 5/10 is average for me. The ambiance of the restaurant is very cute- from my view there were cans of tomatoes and wines decorated on shelves. There are also TVs in the restaurant, but I didn't really pay attention to what they were showing. They also have a deli section in the restaurant which I thought was nice so you can view what meats they offer. Service was very attentive. One thing I didn't like about the dining tables is that there is a pile of plates that take up a good bulk of the space on the table. These plates are for sharing entrees and other dishes with the dining party but I thought the space it took up didn't compensate for the ease of sharing dishes. Additionally the dining area we were seated at was a bit cramped with some seats being directly behind another person's chair. Ambiance: 5/10. Service: 7/10. Espresso Martini: Super delicious and heavy on the espresso. Rich and dark. As a dark chocolate/ cacao lover, this was amazing. They did forget the espresso beans so I guess that means no health, wealth, and happiness for me :'( (lol jk). 9/10. Burrata: The burrata was fresh and creamy . The tomatoes were amazing- they were so flavored with the charred flavor from being grilled. I loved this dish for especially for the combo between the tomatoes providing acidity and some bitterness from the char which was complemented nicely by the mild and creamy burrata. 9/10. Veal Meatballs: Loved the flavor of the meatballs + was seasoned well. The tomato sauce it was in was also really good and tasted fresh and earthy. 7/10. Eggplant Parmigiana: I got this because my Italian coworker recommended it to me a while ago and I love eggplant. This was very good, but relied heavily on the mozzarella to carry the flavor profile. Still nicely seasoned and fresh, but maybe it's because I can't stop thinking about those grilled tomatoes from the burrata that I wish there was a bit more flavor from the eggplant. 7/10. Penne alla vodka: This was one of the best pastas I've tasted. The sauce was incredibly rich in flavor- sweet and acidic from tomatoes, savory from the garlic, and an undertone of spice from the red chilies. We added chicken on it which was also delicious since the chicken soaked up the sauce and the chicken was grilled, providing a bitter flavor to contrast the flavors from the sauce. 10/10. Tiramisu: I love tiramisu so I thought it was fantastic, but my friends who are also tiramisu-holics didn't quite like it. Among our feedback included that the mascarpone cream felt a bit heavy for the dessert and that there wasn't enough espresso to balance out the mild, creamy flavor from the mascarpone. 7/10. Overall: 7/10.

Oh how I've missed thee! What an amazing meal. This place just doesn't miss! We ate so fast I forgot to take pictures! Shrimp Risotto...gone. Asparagus... best I've had. Penne alla vodka..wow!! Simply the best! We will definitely be back! Well done!

Do they allow small dogs on the patio?

    yes ive seen it before

We ordered a flight of whiskey sours, which contained whiskeys from Japan, Vietnam, and Wisconsin. I also was able to order an amaretto sour, which they made with freshly hand beaten egg whites, which was a nice cherry on the top. As far as the whiskey flights go, I think the best one was the Vietnam flight because it had a slightly lemongrass twang and was a little bit lighter than the other two. The heaviest one was the Wisconsin which came with a little bit of a bite at the end, but it still wasn't bad if you're trying to blackout on a $15 budget. I would definitely come back with a larger group this seems like a great place, but is a little bit loud- so if you be prepared to yell or wear earplugs. The bathroom took my a second to find, which should have been intuitive considering it was on the opposite end of where you come in. I blame the lighting as things are already pretty hard to find in the dark, but eventually I made it there-Pat myself on the back.

I came here for a business dinner with about 6 others. The only frustrating part of our experience was we made a reservation online weeks in advance and when we arrived we were told that they basically overbooked every night and when you reserve a seat you're just saying you're coming. So we showed up and were told we were going to wait an hour. It sounds like they are super busy, but there are better ways to ensure the restaurant is selling every available seat rather than offering basically fake reservations that don't mean anything when you get there. Someone in our group complained enough about it that they sat us and did honor the reservation which we appreciated - given that it was a business dinner though, I think it was awkward we had to do that. It just was a LOT of work to organize multiple out of towners getting together and to show up and potentially wait an hour would have been so inconvenient. They really should fix this problem. The reservation issue aside the experience was great. The service is just sort of meh I didn't feel like they were above or beyond and didn't note anything exceptional there. But the food..... the food is the main event for sure. Everything I tried I loved. I had just had Italian the day before so I didn't want anything that felt "too Italian" (lasagna, pasta, pizza, etc) so I got the braised short rib over polenta which was a nice change of pace. It was amazing. Some of the best polenta I've ever had. I am already looking forward to the next time I can go back! The food here is outstanding. If you are able to go, I would highly recommend it.
