If you're coming here for drinks, it's probably a great vibe, but if you're coming for food, I would recommend elsewhere. I want to preface my review with the positives, Londyn was our server & was truly so kind, thorough, and friendly. The restaurant itself is clean & all tables have clear views of the TVs on game days. Now for the room for improvement- the food was very underwhelming. Being from the Chicago area previously, I regularly advocate for the Chicago food scene, and this unfortunately did not meet those standards. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, buffalo cauliflower, wings, and sesame ginger salad: -Brussel sprouts: tasted like they weren't seasoned just air fried and drenched in balsamic dressing -Buffalo cauliflower: soggy, unseasoned, runny buffalo sauce -Wings: PERFECTLY CRISPY, but no flavor (we ordered lemon pepper & buffalo) -Sesame ginger salad: sloppy mix of vegetables tossed in an overly sweet sauce with no sesame or ginger flavor in sight If you're not going to eat, this is probably a great spot, but from a food standpoint, there is room for improvement. read more

Really loved this little bar! Great food! We didn't realize we were there for Happy Hour or we would've honestly ordered way more. I loved the cider I ordered and I would go back just for that. I love coming to no vacancy. I usually go on my own and I sit at the bar sometimes I'll have a beer sometimes I'll have a martini. The service has always been great and the conversation at the bar has always been really entertaining. We stopped in for a night cap and a snack on a Friday evening! We sat at the bar and I liked how big and comfy the chairs are. We also had front row seats to watch March madness, and more importantly the beer filling mechanism that fills glasses from the bottom! Kinda fun to watch. The bar also has purse hooks, which I am always grateful for. The food came out pretty quickly and was super fresh and delicious. The bartender was sooo sweet, very attentive and quick, and made sure my soda was always topped off. I loved the vibe and the moody lighting! The menu is definitely River North prices -- nothing terribly surprising bht on par for the neighborhood. At the time of our visit, cocktails were $15+ and the fry basket was $10. Absolutely disgusting experience. Last night, my friend was subjected to blatant harassment inside this establishment. Multiple patrons were openly using homophobic slurs, and one of them turned directly to my friend and target the homophobic slurs at him. What is even more appalling is how the staff responded. We immediately reported the incident to the bar staff, expecting them to address the harassment or remove the offending patron. Instead, we were brushed off and told to "deal with it outside." The staff made no effort to intervene, de-escalate the situation, or ensure that their patrons could enjoy the establishment without being verbally abused. A business cannot control every customer's behavior, but it absolutely can control how it responds when someone is being targeted with hate speech. This establishment chose to do nothing. It's 2026. If your response to a customer being called a homophobic slur is indifference, you're sending a clear message that this kind of hateful behavior is tolerated in your business. I refuse to support an establishment that allows people to be harassed because of who they are and then dismisses it as someone else's problem. Do better. read more

Stopped in here on a Sunday after doing visiting a few places downtown. I will say we loved it. The burger was better than many of the so called greatest places and the grilled chicken was definitely a strong offering. They had tasty curly fries. The drink offerings were great. Prices on par with other bars downtown. They are a 'sports bar' so we caught the second half of the Bears game and it was a great place to see a game. After arriving in Chicago with tons of protests and busier than average streets, after checking into my hotel, I needed a quick spot for my mom and I to go in and gain some strength and energy after the tough travel and journey making it to the Chi with just a lot of political noise going on. With that said, we were welcomed at No Vacancy and our server was a sweetheart and did a great job filling up water and being attentive, patient, and provided excellent hospitality with that Midwestern friendliness. She and the kitchen staff were polite and attentive to what we needed. The seared brussels sprouts were so dang on great, we ordered a second round. The server had nice attention to detail and allowed my mom to try both buffalo and BBQ sauces to determine which one my mother preferred to go with her wrap which showed dedication and care which was nice. My grilled chicken power salad with veggies and egg was fabulous and healthy. I washed my food down with a beer and just felt energized not bloated or tired after receiving my protein and nutrients without too many carbs. Was strolling along Wells St. and came upon their inviting outside pop up patio adorned with colorful hanging flower baskets and the food served on other's tables looked pretty good so I asked to take a seat. Apparently No Vacancy is a fairly newish spot that serves American fare food late night. Probably a good tid bit to know considering it's just a block off from River North's ecclectic nightlife scene. Turns out I caught the tail end of happy hour which runs on Mon-Fri 4:30-6pm. Score!! They offer half off all appetizers, wine & drafts. The waitress named Londen was super friendly and she recommended burria burritos and chicken fingers. I got them both. I don't do fried bar foods normally but I gave into it. Everything was full portioned and flavorful. The standard menu definitely did have some healthier options, so keep that mind. Stopped by on a spring Saturday afternoon. Weather was gorgeous and they had just opened their patio so we sat outside. We were just there for a couple of drinks and an appetizer. First stop while visiting Chicago was to pick up some lunch. No Vacancy was just a few blocks from the hotel, so decided to check it out. Got there probably after the lunch rush, so no trouble being seated quickly. The server was friendly and quick to answer any questions. Fun, typical bar atmosphere. I opted for the chicken sandwich with fries. Food came out quickly, and the sandwich was nothing to laugh at, it was piled high, and tasted great.
