Popped in here after getting of the Brown Line to grab some happy hour drinks before heading to a nearby museum with a friend visiting. Blake, the bartender, took care of us, and was extremely friendly and great. We ordered a total of 4 drinks (3 beers, and a wine) and let me tell you... their HAPPY HOUR is amazing. It's half off select cocktails (I think sangria), wine, and beer from 4:30 - 6:30. We walked out of there spending only $21 and of course tipped Blake nicely, but this is almost unheard of nowadays, especially in this area of the city. They have TVs and food so I'd definitely return as well. Great experience as a whole! read more

Stayed downtown this past Sunday night and chose spot, as I was looking for a sports bar near my hotel. I made a great choice. Good spot to watch SNF. The birria egg rolls were ridiculous, so damn good. The bartender John had outstanding top notch service, and even recommended the birria egg rolls. I will be back. read more

Get the birria egg rolls - so so good! If you are sharing, you may need a 2nd order We also had the side chick sandwich, minus the pickle and add cheese and bacon. Delicious! Perfect flavoring, sauce was good! Our server described it like a way better version of a CFA sandwich, and I agree! Sorry, I didn't take pics of the chicken sandwich - because the food was so good and we ate it too quickly We sat on the patio; however, at 11:55pm we were told the patio closed at 12 so we had to get our stuff and go inside. It would have been nice if they had told us this when we arrived (11:20ish) so we could have just ate inside and not had to move mid finishing our meal and drinks read more

We had a really great experience at No Vacancy. Try the food and drinks for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Any burger plus fries won't let you down! The appetizers are great too, especially the birria egg rolls! Check it out. read more

Low key for a Sunday night. Bar seats are comfy and everything is very clean and organized. Beers are filled from the bottom of the glass, which is neat. Mediterranean wrap was underwhelming/dry/not recommended, but fries are pretty good. Fine is the best I can say overall. I wasn't drawn in by anything specific food or environment-wise. read more

Great late night bar! I loved our waitress! Be ware, the buffalo anything is super spicy or I am just a wuss!

Walked over to the spot i really liked it ...it's a quaint spot you can have dinner watch a game and listen to music. I came to watch a Duke vs Houston and Creighton vs Tennessee. There were enough tvs to watch the game. The DJ played good music and it wasn't overpowering. I really like the chicken tenders they were bomb af. I sat at the bar and my server was attentive. I came solo but it's definitely a spot you can come solo or with friends. I enjoyed it! read more

this place is so loud and the servers are arrogant. food is low quality especially for price

Love this place in River North! Happy Hour is a hit and this is where you want to be. The curly fries and chicken tender apps are hit and great to share when you are having a glass of wine or beer. Only thing I am bummed about is that they removed the pigs in a blanket from the menu. Otherwise, I love coming here and the service is always quick and kind, the ambiance is averagely loud for a bar, but you never feel rushed or overwhelmed. Can't wait to return! read more

Yummy food and great service! I stopped by in between bars during a bar crawl and was pleasantly surprised to find this gem. The curly fries were like no other that I've had before, hot and crispy! The food was also delicious and well priced. I loved my experience here and definitely recommend to others! read more

Stopped by on a Sunday to watch the game. Music was VERY loud, don't get me wrong, I'm young and love music but this was just a bit too loud, I couldn't even hear my boyfriend who was right next to me. Food was good, nothing that was super out of the ordinary. The pretzel crusted tenders were great, along with the steak sliders. For the entree I ordered the NV Burger, very juicy and cooked to my liking, and my boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs, could have been good as the steak in the slider was AMAZING, but the steak in this dish was covered in some giardiniera which ended up tasting like a bunch of oil, totally ruined it. We were lucky to be served by London, she was very helpful and super quick during the busy rush of the game playing. read more

Was hungry after Hamilton. No Vacancy was open so attempted to walk in the rain. Fail. Almost gave up but took an Uber and it was so worth it. We got apps and a glass of wine. Soooo good. Beef sliders, chicken tenders, fries and the brussel sprouts were all amazing. If I lived in Chicago, I'd eat here everyday. Will definitely be back next time I'm In town. read more

Last min lunch ideas on a Sunday. Wait time was none and was greeted immediately. Really friendly waitress and the service was great. Yummy food and pretty quick! We weren't too hungry so we ordered to share. Meter parking out front. We ordered the shooters, so good. As well as this watermelon salad that I'm still thinking about several weeks later.. and the Brussels sprouts. I definitely recommend :-) read more

Great late night bite! This was one of the only places open when I was out at night so I went on in and ordered their burger. I don't know if it was because I was hungry, but that burger HIT! It was phenomenal. Juicy flavorful patty, spongy but toasted bun, perfect ratio of veggies, and had such a great sauce. I devoured that burger. If you ever need a late night bite I highly recommend this place. The service is great, the kitchen is open late, and the vibes have an intimate but cozy community vibe. Great place to eat alone as well! read more

Cool place. Great food and service. Can sit outside as well. The bar was awesome

Dinner here was excellent. My steak was cooked exactly as ordered, with sides that balanced the dish perfectly. The dining room had a cozy yet upscale atmosphere that made the night feel special. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and everything ran smoothly. I'd gladly recommend it for a nice evening out. read more

Great spot to watch games. Food and service is always great as well. I would highly suggest this place.

Two things attributed to my low rating & one of them being the price. When I noticed what neighborhood the restaurant was in I knew it wouldn't be cheap but $40 for two orders of fries & some boring chicken tenders is preposterous. The only compliment I can give this place is the fries texture was perfect. Crispy on the outside & soft pillow on the inside. With that aside there was zero flavor. Where's the seasoning? The accompanying aioli couldn't help. The pretzel covered chicken tenders were tasteless as well. I found this place according to a list of people on Facebook claiming these are amongst the best fries in Chicago however this is what happens when a lion listens to the opinions of sheep. read more

Good food and drinks but grossly overpriced. Portion sizes were recently reduced which makes it even more egregious. Also has a bunch of TV's which is fine if it had a sports bar atmosphere, but it clearly tries to be something more. Service is passable. read more

This was the first restaurant we ate at in Chicago. The food was so yummy. I had the egg rolls and the Brussels Sprout my husband had the sliders and fries. Food came quick, the service was great. The cost for those items plus 2 Mimosas was $106. The Ambiance is typical Chi Town Bar Restaurant. I recommend this place to anyone read more

Nice place to grab a snack and drink if you're staying nearby. They don't have much in terms of atmosphere, but the food is tasty (we had a grilled chicken salad with a nice ginger dressing, and just $1 to add avocado), and the cocktails hit the spot. The old fashioned variation on the menu has a little banan liquer, which gives it a unique spin that I enjoyed. They have a bar and lots of tables with table service, so it would be good with a group. read more

New spot alert! Got to-go food and have to say the food was great! Wedge salad: was your typical wedge salad but the dressings really made it delicious. I liked the added macaroni and thick bacon bites. I was indecisive on what dressing I wanted and shout out to Blake L. bc he hooked it up on the dressings and gave me a sample of all of them! Fish sandwich: was flavorful and moist, unlike a lot of typical fish sandwiches that have no taste. On the more expensive side being $26 market price, but in my opinion worth it. Steak sliders: steak was prepared perfect and the sauce on the side was tasty. Ambiance was chill and they had a DJ playing music on Friday. Will definitely be going back and taking some foodie photos for you guys! The only negative things I would say is they don't take reservations and the bar is not very big so wait times on weekends may be longer. read more

Literally to die for. Brought my parents from Mississippi here while we did touristy things on cinco de mayo but good lord when I tell you it was incredible. Service is a1. Staff? Fab. Drinks? Our dining experience at No Vacancy was top notch!! Me and my sister went in on a Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 for food and drinks before a concert. Food: 5/5 we had the Birria egg rolls, chicken tenders, steak sliders and fried brussel sprouts. Everything was top notch, the steak sliders were tender and the bread was toasted to perfection. The chicken tenders were crispy and juicy. Brussels we're good just needed a little salt and pepper and the birria tacos were my fav! Ambiance: 4/5 it's definitely a more upscale sports bar type of vibe. So not too pretentious but not your super chill everyday sports bar. Big TVs going with sports and they have an outside with tables which is nice. Service: 4.5/5 our waiter was great and attentive. There were a couple of times we had to wait longer than we would have liked when it got a tad bit more busy but it was nothing egregious. All in all we really liked this spot and will be back! read more

This is a great location. It's a beautiful space with plenty of TV's for watching sports. The bar is gorgeous, and some of the most comfortable bar stools I have sat on. The full bar has great selections, including high end red wine pours (Dominus, Cadmus, and other) in 1, 3 and 5 ounce pours. And they have a super cool tap system where the glass is filled from the bottom! We had the egg rolls, which were incredibly good, as well as the grouper sandwich. All the food came out hot and was very good. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back! read more

Customer service: 4/5 Food: 3.5/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat that wasn't booked solid. We ordered some drinks (mine is pictured below) and they were pretty tasty. Then, we ordered the Birria Egg Rolls, Steak Sliders, and the NV Burger. We wanted to get the Frites Street Fries but sadly they were all out (which I suppose is a good thing cause it means they were really good). We really enjoyed the steak sliders, but we felt that they could be elevated a bit more with maybe some type of different sauce or a bed of arugula. SPEAKING of sauce, I would highly recommend asking for a side of the lemon garlic aioli cause it quite literally was the highlight of our night. I would definitely categorize this as a trendy place to take your friends. But if you're looking to catch up or have a conversation, it may not be the best place cause it was a bit loud. read more
