Small pepperoni pizza

Gigio's brings me back to New York with its pizza and vibe. Prices are reasonable and quality is just what you'd expect from a low key pizza spot. Dining area is minimal. This is more of a to go spot, and service is friendlier than your typical NYer. They'll ask if you want your pizza cut in squares or slices. You better choose the latter. Pizza comes with lots of cheese, a sweet sauce, and crust is the right balance of sturdy and foldable. Getting a bigger pie will give you the crust you're looking for. Gigio's does have Chicago classics like Italian beef, pasta, and more. Service was prompt, pizzas were made quick, and the dining area is clean. I'll be back.

Thick Chicago crust... gross!

New York style pizza is Chicago style crust... I was told I had to ask for super thin, when for 10 years I have gotten extra extra thin slices.

Came highly recommended by my brother-in-law, even went so far as to order two extra large half cheese half sausage unbaked, frozen, to bring with me on a plane to North Carolina, as he could only think of one thing he wanted from Chicago, and that was his Gigio's pizza. Simple menu, family owned, and certainly has created a lot of memories for people all over the city. New York City style, Can order a whole pie or just a slice to go. Limited seating available, total hole in the wall, but sometimes those are the best kind of places! If you are lucky, the owner, Giovani, may be there checking to make sure the pizza is on point! Old school italiano New York style pizza at its finest!

The suspicious charge.

Bad greasy drippy pizza and I had to dispute a phone charge on my debit card. This was the last placed I used my debit card and I think they cloned it!

overall for sure this is a nice late night spot for pizza, always get a s (12") for me. Pepperoni and cheese for the last 3 times ? Service is fast, nice, efficient for the most part. The average wait for a fresh pizza is like 20 minutes. The ambiance of the place will remind you of what a semi decent pizza place will look like! Overall would recommend to anyone who is looking for pizza late at night !

Cheap, fast, and delicious! Probably my new favorite pizza place. Staff was very friendly! The restaurant itself is very small so there might not be enough seating so keep that in mind!

Would not recommend at all. Rude service. Food was less than average. Do not order from there.

one of the few good places to grab a slice on the northside. Good pizza with good flavor.

This is one of those places that feels frozen in time -- in a good way. The wood‑paneled coziness,…read morethe dim lighting, the slightly chaotic entryway where a host with a clipboard controls the fate of your evening... it all sets the tone for a meal that's equal parts ritual and indulgence. They push the Mediterranean Bread, and honestly, you should let them. It's enormous, blistered, fragrant, and arrives like a hot air balloon made of carbs. More importantly, it gives you something genuinely delicious to tear into while you wait for the pizza pot pies to emerge from whatever subterranean chamber they're baked in. It's both a starter and a survival tool. A reservation is non‑negotiable unless you enjoy contemplating your own mortality in a weekend crowd. The wait times can stretch so long you could starve to death before your name is called -- and the regulars will nod knowingly as they step around your skeleton. Plan ahead. The salads are comically oversized, the kind of portions that make you wonder if they're meant for a family of four or a single very determined marathon runner. But let's be honest: no one is here for lettuce. We're all here for the pizza pot pie, that molten, bread‑wrapped, cheese‑laden dome of joy that defies every attempt at categorization. It's not deep dish, it's not thin crust -- it's its own thing entirely, and that's the point. This is the place you bring out‑of‑town guests when you want to show them something uniquely Chicago without defaulting to the usual deep‑dish suspects. But it's also the place you come back to on your own, because once you've had that pizza pot pie, it lives rent‑free in your brain until you return.

I got there and there was about 15 people in front of me in line. The hostess was really nice and because I was there by myself, she called up to the bar to see if there was any seats at the bar so I didn't have to wait. I found out that Chicago style pizza takes about 45 minutes to cook, but I was willing to wait. After about an hour I asked where the pizza was, and they said "we lost it". Although I was disappointed that I had waited so long , they were accommodating and apologetic, and took ownership, which I really respected and appreciated. They said they could get me another pizza quicker than 45 minutes, so in total I waited about an hour and a half. They asked me if there's any appetizers I wanted for free or drinks and because I didn't wanna fill up before my pizza and I had already had a salad , I declined. The pizza came out and it was absolutely delicious. Was it worth the wait? Because I didn't have anything else that evening for a while that I needed to do, it was worth it. If I had been in a rush, it would've been a different story. The hostess, the bartender/waiter and the manager were all very nice and attentive. I had a great time at the bar socializing with people from different parts of the country. I would definitely recommend Giordano's.

I ordered to go, so I could trek back to my hotel to have a meal, so there was significant effort into getting there. Staff was indifferent and borderline rude. Yeah sure, it was 45 minutes prior to closing, but they were there to complete their shift. I won't rant on about how these youngsters suck at customer service, because we already know... On to the pizza which was HIGHLY disappointing. I got an extremely overpriced veggie pizza that lacked flavor and had a thick dry inedible crust. I've tasted frozen pizzas that tasted way better. If you can, ask a reputable source where to find a good pizza elsewhere. Save your time and money and avoid this mess.

Big bang buffalo- standard buffalo. Can't go wrong. Hot honey- pretty good, honey flavor, some sweetness Garlic galaxy glaze- this is really good if you like garlic flavor. I would get this again. Bayou in the sky- super super good. I would get this again. Hint of spice, hint of sweet. Carolina bbq- tasted like straight deli mustard. I would pass. The pizza, even though they advertise Detroit Style pizza, their take is more like Focaccia style pizza. They provide nice crunch, not enough sauce. Pretty airy dough.
