Service is friendly and the food comes out fast and piping hot. The siu mai was incredibly flavorful and larger than normal. The shrimp dumplings were juicy. Dumplings are served with two sauces -- a hot sauce that is very spicy and strong, and a hoisin-based sauce. The preserved egg with pork congee was bland and light on the toppings. There is lots of seating available and you can pay with card.

Not on the menu, but they helped with knife and utensils for my birthday cake!

We order a family meal set and it was a great deal! I was extremely affordable and we had leftovers to go. Some of the dishes, like the pork needed more salt or felt bland. But overall, I had a positive experience here! They were kind enough to help store a birthday cake we brought ourselves and after the meal they helped us with paper plates and the utensils. The space is spacious and comfortable!

Very impressed with authentic family style Chinese dinner at humble @originaltriplecrown in Chinatown. Every single dish was served hot fresh and perfectly seasoned. Service was superb and prices reasonable. Highly recommend and definitely returning sooner than later. One of a few Chinese restaurants able to seat 14-16 people at a big round table. No bar but beer is served. Parking meters or Chinatown parking lot (validated discount $3 for 3 hours at participating businesses).

I've been coming here for years. The food is always high quality and delicious. Two of my favorites are the hot platter tenderloin beef and salt and pepper fish filet. I recommend coming here during a weekday before the rush hour. There's another place called Triple Crown but it's not the same. This is the ORIGINAL! You'll love this place.

This is the perfect restaurant for a huge group of people, as their round tables can fit up to parties of 8-12! This is your very very traditional Chinese restaurant, no frills with huge portion sizes! They give you so much complimentary food: a big bowl of white rice, a big bowl of comforting soup, and a red bean soup dessert (one of the best I've had in a while - not watered down at all). The prices were so affordable too, though a bit more expensive than what they list on the menu. The standout dish was the braised green pea sprouts in broth with century egg (上湯豆苗)!!

Here it shows the beef chow fun plate NOT OFFERING small and large options.

Pretty underwhelming unfortunately. While I do like that this place is open late, I went here last night around 10pm and I looked online at their menu and called to order my beef chow fun plate(pictures below show the pricing and size option for that plate-which it only comes one size for $10) the guy answers and is very quick in conversing with me (that's fine) but I tell him I would like beef chow fun and crab Rangoon ($6) and he answers back "small?" And I say "Yes small please" and then he hangs up on me as I'm saying "please" lol. Well of course when I get there my order (instead of $16-$18) is $26?!?!?! I asked the guy at the counter why it's $26 because the beef chow fun is $10 and crab Rangoon is $6 but the guy says "you ordered large beef chow fun next time order small" uhhh hello, I did order the small but you hung up on me lol. It's okay, I wasn't gonna argue especially if the food was good it'd be worth it to me. On the receipt it said the beef chow fun was beef broccoli with noodles and I asked him if that is still the beef chow fun I ordered even though it's labeled something else and he assured to me it was still beef chow fun in the bag. When I got home, i opened the food up and pretty disappointing unfortunately. Not only was I swindled and charged more than what I ACTUALLY ordered, but food was not that good at all. Disappointing sadly.

Stir fried snow peas with garlic, braised oxtail with tofu skin, stirfried bitter gourd with preserved soya

As a Cantonese from Canton who lived in NYC, LA, and SF, I rarely get surprised by Cantonese restaurants. But I was amazed by the food here. Fresh ingredients are a must, so it goes without saying that the oxtail, snow peas, and bitter gourd are more than satisfactory. The cooking style and flavour is authentic Cantonese, and not just in the modern way but the traditional way without adaptation to non-Cantonese palates. I wish there's a restaurant with this chef in Connecticut

One thing about Chinese restaurant service is that they all lack great customer service, however you know the food is bussin when you eat there. It was hot as hell outside, but inside felt like a freezer. No matter where we moved, i was bout to turn into an ice cube shortly. We ordered 6-7 entrees, congee, noodles, different proteins & veggies. Things took forever to come out but you already know that's just how the service be sometimes. Overall, the food was good. One of the dishes was spiced to perfection, the one with visible onions/ I don't know what any of these dishes are called. But if you think this is what you want, just show them the pictures. They'll know! Ambiance ain't just a little loud, but business was poppin inside. I liked the congee, super refreshing per usual. We ordered two noodles, one looked pan fried, other stir fried. Stir fried just tasted like vermicelli noodles while pan fried noodles was crunchy and had a sauce. Would suggest if you're hungry at night & looking for something healthy to eat instead of fast food. Prices were fair and the works there did their best with the people they had. 4/5

We stayed at the Airbnb across the street and found this late night gem easily. It was a fun experience. Loved the big tables with the lazy Susan. The food was all delicious. Be sure to try the crab ragoon. The staff was a bit slow but they were very friendly. Overall I just liked the option of eating yummy Chinese after a full day of Chicago activities.

Located just off the main street of wentworth in China town. Minimal street parking i recommend a lot then walking around and exploring the cafes shops after you eat. Authentic flavors and a large menu with various dishes and dim-sum. There is family style menu as well as a la carte. Great lunch and late night menu, staff is friendly and prompt bring tea ams water immediately then making menu recommendations. Beef chow fun was good portion with alot of beef all very clean cuts. To compliment with I tried the beef dumplings all pan seared perfectly. Overall great value and portions and good service.

We've been coming here for over 25 years. It's always a great place for a big group of people.

My colleague and I ordered lunch from here today. They have quite an extensive menu, but they're lunch menu does not include steamed rice. We ordered entrees instead since they come with steamed rice. My colleague ordered the General Tao's Chicken and I had the Hundred Flavored Beef. We tried each other's entree because it simply looked delicious, and it did not disappoint. Both entrees were spicy. My dish was slightly more spicy, but it wasn't overwhelming. The spice was just. Despite not ordering from the lunch menu, we ag least have some leftovers for dinner We will definitely order from here again.

We've been going here for years This is still a hidden gem for some delicious, affordable Chinese dishes you can have quality Cantonese food that they serve. It's located on the second floor not to be confused with the other one with the same name on Wentworth which is not the ORIGINAL one. Service was on point with Ken, and it's a BYOB, with no corkage fee since we always bring a couple of wines to pair with our delicious food. Ambiance is your typical Chinese restaurant, bright and spacious, clean bathrooms. Overall we keep coming back, and not too many know about this place which is nice and a hidden find for our family'.

MingHin was packed, loud, and a little chaotic. Worth it. Dim sum is an experience as much as a meal and MingHin delivers on both fronts. We ordered more than we could keep track of. Soup dumplings that immediately became the kids' personal obsession. Shu mai that hit every time. BBQ pork buns in every form they offered because obviously. Chinese broccoli to balance out the indulgence. Everything was solid, fresh, and exactly what you want from a dim sum spread. The room was packed and buzzing but the service kept up impressively. Servers were constantly circling, clearing empty plates and dishes without missing a beat. Clean and attentive even at full capacity, which is no small thing. Fair warning if you are bringing little ones: this environment is a lot. The noise, the crowd, the overwhelming parade of food arriving at the table. Our kids loved what they ate but the sensory experience was a bit much for them. This is a place better suited for a group of adventurous adults or older kids who thrive in high energy environments. Prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you get. A Chinatown institution for good reason. Just know what you are walking into and embrace it fully.

This is a tough one. Not happy at all. With all of the wonderful legendary Chinese places closing…read moreover the past few years (Kow Kow, Hong Min, Pekin House, and even the best egg rolls at Mee Mah), Sun Wah has been solid over the years- their whole duck is legendary and incredible. BUT, as wonderful as the food is, the last 5 visits have been dreadful. The angry waitresses are part of the deal, but when we're spending a few hundred bucks on dinner, enough is enough. Asking for extra sauce and being told NO- asking for extra bao wrappers and being told NO, asking for extra daikon for the duck when we're given a half full dish in the first place in unacceptable. And like I said, that's part of the deal. And the food is so good that you put up with it. But what happened last week was the last straw. We ordered egg rolls, 2 large dumpling soups, pot stickers, a whole duck, medium ribs, sweet and sour chicken, and for an appetizer, a medium BBQ pork. When the server brought the pork, first, it was cold. I guess that's also the deal. Sometimes it's hot, sometimes totally cold. But this time, and I'm not exaggerating, more than half of the order was pure white fat. Not fatty pork, white solid fat. we tried chewing git to see if there was any meat, but no. So, I finally got the servers attention and showed her. She looked at it, and then walked away. I assumed she was going to bring us a new order. Instead, the owner walked over. I showed her the 2 plates- 1 plate with half of the solid white fat, and the other plate with chewed up fat pieces. Instead of apologizing and bringing over a new order, she said "sometimes the pigs we get are very fatty". So I replied something like "sure I get that, but you can't serve this to customers" and " can you please bring us a new order of actual pork and not just a plate of fat"??? and she then looks down at both plates and says "you already ate it so we can't do anything. I tell her that, no, I didn't eat anything- you can see a plate with chewed up and spit out fat, but she literally WALKS AWAY. So then of course we wait for her to bring a new order over, but that never happens. And we're loyal customers for many many years, and she knows us. This extreme lack of care for your longtime customers is nauseating. Like I said, we've put up with it for years because we love the food (as well as putting up with the many health code violations over the years), but after this huge fuck you from the owner over a few bucks worth of pork? We're done. And our friends are done. This rude pathetic refusal to admit that you're serving inedible food and take care of your loyal customers with a few dollars in pork will now cost you THOUSANDS of dollars every year, because we have now told 20 of our friends to stop going, and they all agreed with us. The Pork & Chive Dumplings tasted like something my mom would make at home. The broth they sit in adds a lot of flavor and makes the dish even better. My only nitpick is that I personally prefer a thicker, chewier dumpling wrapper. The Dan Dan Noodles were the standout. Creamy, nutty, crunchy from the peanuts, packed with flavor, and not overly spicy. It was my first time trying dan dan noodles and now I totally understand the hype. 8/10. The Xian Bing took about 25 minutes to come out, which makes sense since they're made fresh. The lamb filling was flavorful and the outside was super crispy, almost like a scallion pancake. The bread itself was softer and thicker than I expected and could've used a little more flavor. Overall, this felt like authentic, comforting food that leaves you completely satisfied when you walk out. Next time I'd absolutely order the Dan Dan Noodles again and try the beef noodles, scallion pancakes, and beef dumplings.

A few dishes, like the Duck Fried Rice, Pork Belly, and Beef Noodle Soup, were actually pretty solid. But the rest of the night was just so frustrating that I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The Jiaozi were the first big letdown. The menu said they were beef short rib and bone marrow, but they didn't taste like that at all. The filling was just super mushy and the flavor was just weird. The manager and the food runner were nice when we mentioned it, but our actual server was a disaster. When we tried the Goat Noodles, all we could taste was cumin. It was so overwhelming that it covered up everything else. We couldn't even tell if there was actually any goat shoulder in there. When we told our waiter, she couldn't care less. She got totally defensive, wouldn't even listen to us, and just said, "Oh, I told you when you ordered that the dish is cumin forward" and walked away. It got worse when the bill came. She was holding on to the payment machine so hard and almost yanked it right out of my friend's hand. She was staring at it to see what we were tipping. It was so awkward and incredibly rude.
