Large pie w/ sausage and pepperoni. Half with mushrooms other half with black olives.

For a long time, I didn't eat from this Original's--partly out of loyalty to my beloved Canarsie location (Canarsie Original's ride or die ), and partly because I'm rarely in the Georgetown area. But last night, the craving hit hard: we wanted real pizzeria pizza--you know, that crispy-yet-chewy crust, bubbling cheese, and savory sauce combo that hits different from chain pies. So we gave the Ralph Ave spot a shot. Ordering was smooth. The staff got my topping preferences just right (I can be picky), and the price was fair for what we ordered. Delivery was quick, and the pizza arrived piping hot--my husband's words, and he wasn't exaggerating. The aroma alone--melty cheese, seasoned meat, tangy sauce--took over our living room. We couldn't wait to dig in. And honestly? It delivered. Flavorful, fresh, and exactly what we were hoping for. We're planning to dine in sometime soon, and I'd absolutely recommend giving this location a try--especially if you're in the area and craving that classic NY slice experience.

Very good pizza at this establishment. My friend and I ordered a whole pie. Of course it was cooked fresh in the oven. Came out piping hot and delicious. I was able to eat two slices there. My friend ate 4!!! Place was packed for a Sunday evening. That's how you know, it's pretty popular. They had outback outdoor seating as well. It felt good to eat outside with the hot pizza. As I'm writing the review, I'm thinking and tasting how good the pizza was. Yes , I'll be back. Don't know when, but definitely soon. Thank you.

A solid night owl spot. Many have spoken about this place, but I never ventured in. Caught in a bind with no dinner at 12:30am and here I was. The staff is very friendly and on first name basis with the regulars - which is always a nice touch. To me it means repeat repeat repeat customers which translates into good food. I had wings and fries, yes at a pizza joint. My table mate had a grilled chicken salad. You know hind sight vision is 20/20? Wish I got the salad. It looked good so I tasted it. Fresh, greens and oh so tasty moist chicken. Next time I know better. Not to take away from the wings and fries which was good, the salad is a great option. I have already been back, to try the pizza, on the recommendation of yet another person who apparently frequents Original. I must say, from not so much a fan of Brooklyn style pizza, I could easily return again and again.

Sicilian pizza

Pizza tastes better than many other places I've been to. Sicilian is totally fresh dough, a definite plus! Sauce is very good, but the cheese is a bit salty for my taste. My kids loved the large slices, especially the buffalo chicken pizza. The spinach roll was also good and packed!

Original supreme and a plain slice

The quintessential Brooklyn pizza joint. This place has been around for a very long time. Crust is crisp. Sauce is tangy. Cheese is very stretchy. 2 slices came out 10$ which is more than expected but I don't mind paying more for quality and this place is serving high quality Brooklyn style pizzas. A must try if you are in the area.

I work very close to this pizza shop, and I've never came in until today. Let me start off by saying this pizzeria is a neighbor gem as it's been in the area for years . It gets very crowded but they move quickly and get their customers served in a timely manner. The workers are very welcoming sweet and kind . The owner and I were talking and he is just so down to earth and warm . I ordered a large cheese pizza (my son's request). It was $22 and more than worth it. It was thin, cheesy, and just all around a GREAT TASTING cheese pizza . My son also enjoyed it as well . Please keep in mind they ONLY TAKE CASH so that your not caught off guard if you try to pay with a card. I will definitely be returning to originals pizza . Thank you to all who work there and the owner for your great hospitality.

Great pizza. Been around for years. Pizza at one point was a disappointment but lately they've been shining. Definitely recommend them if you want a slice or two.

chicken & buffalo chicken roll

I order here all the time for delivery. Guys who answer have always been very nice and efficient. Pizzas are never more than 30-40 minutes from placing the call and arrives hot. Delivery guys are also super kind! I love their original supreme pizza and their garlic knots. I forget the pricing but their online website has a menu which is super convenient. I've had their buffalo chicken roll which is delicious. Their regular chicken roll is a tad dry sometimes but still good. I look forward to trying other slices but I tend to order my favorites. I've never visited this establishment in person hence the docking of a star. But I drive by often and there are tons of people swarmed there. From pedestrians to double parked cars picking up some lunch/dinner. That's a good sign in my book that this place is still doing it's thang. A family favorite, always have and always will order pizza from here. So long as they keep up the great food and kind service.

Time stamp of my order.

There was a long line but it moves fast. Well run slice shop with stand up eating area larger than most pizza places. Outdoor stand up eating under a canopy area also. Dog friendly. Definitely a vibe here with music, happy people and local color. The pizza is excellent. The pistachio gelato, highly rated, was not worth it IMHO. Back to the pizza. The dough is amazing, lives up to its reputation for being crisp, yet airy, and great flavor. We actually tried every slice they make! After all, we take our pizza crawls seriously! Top quality ingredients and attention to detail is unparalleled. Only complaint: the food is very salty, borderline too much for some. That dented its rating to 9.8. Both could use a little more flavor to make them stand out more. I really enjoy the variety on the menu and the non classic choices they offer, but it's not somewhere I'll be craving or going out of my way to come back and try more. Lines moved quickly and service was friendly, but the overall flow felt a little off. Orders were being taken faster than pizzas were coming out, and by the time people got their food, there weren't enough clean tables to sit and eat. Saw people waiting around with their pizzas, which by then were probably getting cold. The whole experience could be better but didn't really hit the spot.

Worth the hype! Absolutely insane calzone... That was our must order!!!…read more The pizza is also incredible - you have to try. We had a pizza + a calzone and for 2-3 people this is enough. Reservations were tough (stand in line and then they'll tell you what time to come back) and we got an 830 res. Still one of my favorite pizzas!

Standard-Issue Nostalgia with a Side of Rushed Hospitality…read more If you enjoy paying in time rather than digital convenience, Lucali's reservation process is a masterclass in performative nostalgia. Arriving at 2 PM to stand in a line for two hours just to get on a list for a 7 PM seating doesn't make the place feel exclusive, it makes it feel like a punishment. But hey, we got a table, so the sacrifice was supposed to be worth it. It wasn't. Lucali is BYOB, which is fine in theory. My party brought two bottles of prosecco, fully prepared for a cozy, rustic evening. The server kindly offered to pop the first bottle, then brought out our glassware: heavy, standard water glasses, fresh out of the commercial dishwasher and literally piping hot. There is a special kind of absurdity in pouring crisp, ice-cold prosecco into a glass that feels like it was just pulled from the depths of hell. To top it off, nobody offered to keep our second bottle chilled. Minor detail, sure, but for a place with this level of cult status, the low-effort service immediately set the tone. To give credit where it's due, the ambiance is legitimately cool. It's dimly lit, atmospheric, and feels like step-back-in-time Brooklyn kitchen. Watching the pizza makers roll out dough using empty wine bottles before shoving them into the roaring brick oven gives off that warm, "Nonna's kitchen" charm. You want to love it. Then the food arrives, and the illusion shatters. Our server gave us the bare minimum rundown: "We have pizza, calzones, and tonight's special pasta." Zero detail, zero enthusiasm. We ordered the pizza and the calzone. The pizza was... fine. Completely fine. But calling this the best pizza in New York feels like collective mass delusion. If you've been to L'Industrie or Mama's Too, Lucali isn't even in the same stratosphere. Then came the calzone, which was allegedly stuffed with five cheeses. The server proudly named four, withholding the fifth as a "secret ingredient." A mystery cheese angle might be fun if the calzone blew your mind, but by the time I took a bite, the gimmick just felt tired. It was a perfectly average calzone wrapped in high-end gatekeeping. The grand finale, however, was the absolute kicker. Just under an hour into our meal, after overhearing the hostess realize she'd botched the table rotation, our server came over with an update: they had overbooked and needed our table. Her gracious solution? "You're welcome to pour the rest of your prosecco into your glasses and finish it outside!" The remaining, warm, prosecco that is... Let's recap the math: two hours waiting on a sidewalk at 2 PM, five hours of waiting for the reservation time, warm glasses for cold bubbles, middle-of-the-road pizza, and a boot out the door in under sixty minutes because they messed up their own seating chart. Disgraceful hospitality masked as old-school Brooklyn charm. If you love mediocre food, lukewarm prosecco in burning hot glassware, and being rushed out to the curb, Lucali is waiting for you. As for me, I won't be back.

They said it didn't come with pepperoni, but the owner was sitting there like "you know what since you asked for it we'll do it for you." It's like I was in heaven and was told Ask and you shall receive, we just want you to be happy! Now, I don't know what sort of crack cocaine they put in this Knicks pizza but it had vodka sauce and ricotta, hot honey olive oil and I think a pesto drizzle. Oh my Jesus Christ this was the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life. Savory, a lil sweet, saucy. Lisa was right, don't need ranch for this at all. Also loved the white pie. I'm so sad because I had to leave New York the next day but days later I am still thinking about this pizza. I am still thinking about sweet Lisa and just how warm and welcomed I was in the few minutes I spent in this restaurant. I'm still thinking about how delicious this slice was!!! I just don't think it quite lives up to the hype or the exceptionally high rating it has received.

What impresses me most is how naturally Roberta's became more than a restaurant. Food, music, parties, outdoor spaces, and an extraordinary mix of people all seemed to converge here, giving the place a cultural gravity that could never have been designed by committee. This is the first restaurant we've been to with 20% auto gratuity for a party under 6.
