The pizza is good, no it's great -- normally I just get regular cheese pizza, but I decided to be adventurous and try a slice of barbecue chicken pizza. It was quite delicious! The crust, the sauce, the cheese, the toppings... It's all wonderful! But honestly I have to say that I say I enjoy the garlic knots as much as the pizza, if not more. I haven't found a pizza place in the DMV yet that has amazing garlic knots, but Angelo's knows how to do it. There was an Italian restaurant in dc, but it's not properly a pizza spot so I'm not really counting it. Anyways, Angelo's does not have much space to dine inside, it's more of a takeout only type joint. But the staff are super friendly and the service has never been a miss. This used to be my go-to neighborhood spot for pizza, more for location than taste, however there are so many reoccurring issues with customer service that I'm not going to patronize this business anymore. I've seen the guys who work here treat a Muslim customer in a rude and dismissive way and use the same hands to make your pizza as they use to take your money, completely unsanitary. The last straw for me was when I asked the older guy who makes the pizza for 2 slices of cheese from a particular pizza pie that already had 2 slices missing. I chose this pizza pie because the other pizza pie, wich also had slices missing, looked like it had been made earlier in the day and was dried out. He told me I could only have slices from the old pizza and asked if I was going to take it or not. Not! Last time I patronize a business that doesn't respect the community it makes its money in. There's a special sort of charm and feel you get from these classic, local BK pizza places that you can't get from some fancy shmancy place that just popped up out of nowhere in the hood and has a michelin starred "chef" as the pizzero. I have never dealt with a less professional delivery service. The driver wasn't even in the right neighborhood. The restaurant claimed to not be able to contact the driver even though he was calling us... WHAT?! We were told there was nothing they could do until he came back and then they wouldn't remake the order. We spoke to the driver and 3 people inside the restaurant and got a different story from each person. 1 of the 3 of them in the restaurant showed any respect at all. In the background, you could hear yelling about other orders from other angry customers. Honestly, I would love to be able to review the food but it never came. So disappointing after a long day. I would advise to avoid angelos until they get their act together. To fail your customers, then be disrespectful to them is mind boggling. read more

I took my dad here for a quick pie and sat at one of the 3 tables (I know it's not an eat in place) The fellas who took our order were very sweet and even brought the pizza over for us when I know they didn't need to. We ordered a medium pizza with mushrooms, onions, spinach and pepperoni. Came out piping hot, they were generous but didn't go overboard with the toppings so as not to drown the pizza. I'm giving it 4 stars because the pizza is better than most of the others in Flatbush -- especially than those of South Flatbush/Flatlands/Midwood -- but compared to Manhattan pizza, it would only get 3 stars. They have an issue with their delivery service, though. I've ordered from them before on a weekday evening (sometime around 6pm), and the service was fine; it took about 45 minutes to an hour, which was fair considering I live pretty far south of the restaurant. However, the delivery this second time around on a Sunday night (albeit Labor Day Weekend) took almost TWO HOURS. (I ordered at 8:34pm, the pizza arrived at 10:20pm, and I was yelled at for calling twice at the 1 hour and 1.5 hour marks to check on the delivery time.) The pizza was lukewarm by the time it got here, and I had to put it in the microwave for a few seconds to get it back up to standard. That being said, if you're craving a slice and live within 2 miles of the place, it's the one you'll want to order from. Maybe just pick it up, though. read more

Terrible service! We ordered a pizza at 6.50pm and it was supposed to be delivered between 7.30 and 7:40pm. We called at 7.50pm and was told that the delivery is a minute away. We called back at 8.15 and was told "they tried to get to us but couldn't." When I asked for clarification the guy on the phone said "I don't know what to tell you." I will never spend my money at this establishment again! I have been coming here for over 2 years and the food was always good and the guys were nice and friendly. Last week I placed a relatively small order for delivery, waited almost 2 hours for it to come and to my surprise HALF of the order was missing. I called them and was told by a man that doesn't speak good English he does not know anything and I have to call back in 3-4 hours when the owner was around. I ended up packing up the food and taking it to them directly where I was yelled and cursed at by the old man behind the counter! Even after I explained what happened and had the food to prove it he called me a liar and said he cannot open the register until the owner came (in another 4 hours - which was right at the time they would close). I was furious and would not accept that. After 20 mins of arguing one of the cooks from the back came out and spoke to me nicely, apologized and refunded my money. After the huge mix up, lack of attention and HORRIBLE service I received I will never return or do business with them again, nor will my family or colleagues in the area (we ordered a large pie every Friday for the office) but no more.
