Delmar's which has been around forever (69 years to be exact...they opened in 1957!). continues to be my ultimate favorite especially when it comes to their plain slices. Try as I might to find a better slice and I absolutely cannot. Their pizza even holds up beautifully the next day and I always end up immensely enjoying every single bite down to the crust. And I usually don't like crust very much in general. Like I said they've been around forever and it doesn't hurt that they consistently have that A in their window. read more

$12.50 for two slices and a drink is absurd. Is it worth it? No, not really. That is not to suggest the pizza is terrible. It is not. My two slices, a Plain and a Buffalo Chicken, were well cooked and did not break up upon folding, but nothing to compete against the giants further down the Brighton Line like Di Fara and Pizza Time. Unfortunately for the Plain slice it needs an injection of garlic to make it halfway decent, as the tomato sauce has a weird sweetness to it, and the cheese is a little too melty. The crust is good, nicely thin with a good crispiness. I would just like a little more flavor and maybe the review rating goes up a tick or two. But I have to judge what I got. The Buffalo Chicken slice has good flavor, again with a nice crispy (but not overly crispy) crust. The Buffalo flavor is not overwhelming but I found the chicken on the slice to be a little too dry. I am not writing this shop off, but based on my experience, there is plenty of room for improvement. Overall pizza rating: 3.2/5 read more

I thought I knew great pizza until I tried Delmar Pizzeria. I stopped by on a weekend for lunch, just before the crowd hit, and ended up ordering two slices of plain cheese pizza and a chicken roll. From the very first bite, I was blown away. Even though it was just a plain cheese pizza, the flavors exploded in my mouth. The sauce, cheese, and crust all hit that perfect balance. The chicken roll was tasty too, packed with chicken and cheese, but honestly, the pizza stole the spotlight. The friendly staff and the clean, inviting atmosphere only added to the experience. Delmar Pizzeria has definitely earned a spot as one of my favorites now. read more

Pizza quality has seriously leveled up -- the crust, sauce, and overall flavor are on point. The eggplant topping is a standout: tender, rich, and perfectly balanced with the rest of the pie. Unexpectedly fantastic. Pretty great sandys too read more

BUSSIN If I was to give it 10 stars, I would. Only Italian pizza place in sheepshead bay that make you more New Yorker then ever because DAYUM they mastered the greasiness and flavor combination (can't forget to season your shit ever) This spot needs to be a tourist attraction, it's the neighborhood's favorite, even better then that fuckass Joe's pizza ppl b yearing for Downsides tho, the price for a regular slice can be expensive And a pie costs 22 For what I see it's worth, it has to be worth $2. Lookin forward to eat another pizza from Delmar read more

Ten stars & beyond! My preferred pizza of my youth is as good as ever & I can't praise them enough. Went in Sunday and first question is warm or hot for the slice? The $100k question & my always is warm! We had the grandma and last minute I opted for the square. My step daughter said her grandma slice was better than L&B & my SUPERSTAR square a serious rival. This PIZZA is top of the pops forever & ever! read more

I placed an order today for one large pizza pie, it never was delivered and they refused to refund me my money The order was supposed to be delivered between 6:29 PM to 6:44 PM. I waited by the door between those times, nobody drove up to the door to deliver anything. Total lack of customer, empathy, and customer service, I believe all the other negative reviews on this place. I recommend to find a better location read more

You standing on line and the guy is so busy he takes people who just walk in. Terrible service I would not recommend him to my enemy.

Delmar pizza is so good the little ones always ask "is it from Delmar?" Before eating any pizza. I have even begun lying and always saying "it's from delmar" even when we are in a different state. Delmar has their seal of approval. Stromboli is good . Vodka pie is good. Remember after sandy they didn't even want to reopen when they lost the old stove. Glad they did. read more

Definitely a solid slice of pizza! Can't say its my best but its my first in the area and I'm content! The crust was super thin and crispy like I like it, the sauce wasn't overpowering and it was melty and yummy. I got the vodka slice as it was the last one left so I thought it was calling my name. Very yummy but I wish there was more mozz and maybe even a touch more sauce. Also we used the Yelp Check In Offer to get a free order of garlic knots!! The cashier tried to tell me "that promotion ended, but we'll take it" and I was just happy w free knots lol! Also check out this picture of their prices from the 50's -- I wish !!!! read more

Everything. Throw the whole place away. The pizza arrived like cardboard. Reheated and gross. Are Ate a half a slice each and tossed the rest. Where are the prices of pies and why aren't they listed on the board in store? There are no prices listed on their site either. Ordered an Alfredo pie for pickup and gave $40 only to get $11 and some change back. Really? You're telling me one pie cost nearly $29 in Brooklyn? Really? I'm all for supporting local businesses but sometimes these businesses just aren't setting realistic standards for locals. I've been coming here since young since I grew up in the area and my gym was a block away, but over the years I've just kept seeing the prices hike up and up. Literally a dollar for every year. I remember when an Alfredo pie used to be just under $20. This place has been renovated and it looks much cleaner and brighter, but what's the point if the actual food isn't improving? The workers were also unsociable. In the middle of my transaction my cashier for some reason got changed and she said nothing to me. Not a hello, didn't tell me the amount of my payment or change, and no thank you. Honestly, I'm just sad at what Del Mar has become. I won't be coming back unfortunately. read more

The ny slice is a perfect amount of cheese to tomato sauce so that it forms a harmonious tangy layer that is soft and chewy to the palate and inevitably the orange oil spills from either side of the pizza or around the corner of your mouth. The crust is indiscernible from the tip to the center as it acts like an invisible vehicle for the cheese sauce and oil but makes its presence known with its ascending thickness and crunch as you reach the crust. Mini rice balls are glutinous well blended spheres of rice to Parmesan cheese. And the outside fried to an airy panko crisp. Dipped in the marinara to break up the cheesy goodness if you'd please. read more

Ordered the Delmar special ($29) and garlic bread for delivery. The pizza was way too salty because of the anchovies. Perhaps, if they used less it would've been better. It also lacked cheese. Other than that, I did like that the slice was thin and not doughy. Some of the garlic bread was burnt on the bottom so it wasn't pleasant to eat. read more

Underrated With all of the great pizza shops in Brooklyn, here is one that falls under the radar. What a delicious slice of pie. Great thin crust, crispy, good sauce, and just the right toppings. This a fairly small shop that you just walk in a grab a slice. Nothing formal or even restaurant like. You order at the counter and pickup your food as well. The cool exterior entrance has not been restored which gives the place some character. I guess it's been around for 60 years. If your in the area and walk by Delmar, stop in. You won't regret it. A pizza is a very rare treat for me, so I was so excited to try out this popular neighborhood pizzeria. What comes to mind when you think of a Sicilian slice? Thin, crispy, delicious sauce, fresh mozz. Unfortunately my experience was anything but this. I picked up the pie straight out of the oven and was home in under 10 minutes. Opening the box I was perplexed to see a thicker than usual crust. Okay I thought, let's try it out.... Steaming pile of crap. Greasy undercooked chewy dough. Cheap cheese. Sauce was nothing special at all. The amount of water content this pizza had was hilarious. Every bite sent water bursting in all directions. Delmar, you take the crown for the worst pizza I've ever had, anywhere. Employees were unfriendly and had to yell multiple times to ask about my order. read more

Nicely nestled (say that four times fast!) on the four blocks of Sheepshead Bay road sits @delmarpizzeria . The place has been around 60+ years here in the Bay and staple of this community. 63 years is a long time for a spot to be making pizza, and Delmar has that recipe down pat! This trip, I had my usual: 1+1 hot plus opted for the Alfredo slice. That's got Alfredo sauce, fresh mozzarella, and bacon. I remember this slice being a bit more appetizing, but the trip wasn't standing out. Of course, the square stood out for me, but the regular took the reheat a bit too much. I can't complain much about Delmar. It can get a pass, and I'll be back. Old habits die hard. More pics here ! https://www.instagram.com/marcoskicks/?hl=en read more

Best pizzeria hands down in south Brooklyn. It's always consistent, fresh, and perfect. The pizza is just the right amount of dough and crunch. My favorites are the Alfredo bacon and the vodka slice.
