Love the food, don't love the service and loud ambiance of the place, when it's busy you can't hear your party talk when it's slow it's hollow with terrible acoustics! There's a lot to like about this place. Modern and clean interior, with indoor and outdoor dining. An easy to navigate parking lot. And lots of delicious-sounding and healthy options for food and drink. Quick and friendly service. It's a quick, healthy, order at the counter place. Excellent option to have! And I would not hesitate to return. With that being said though, I feel like I'm always left wanting a little bit more, particularly in terms of flavor. The food I've gotten has always been on the bland side; don't get me wrong, it's not bad, certainly good, and fresh and healthy, but just kind of low on the flavor spectrum. Maybe I'm ordering the wrong thing. Most recently I got the Greek-ish salad and added chicken. Huge portion. Decent amount of chicken. But just everything kind of bland--even the dressing did little more than make it all greasy. Today I had one of the original chopshop bowls for the first time and it was SO good!! The jalapeño cream was the cherry on top for me. Really nice setting too, it was perfect for our book club. Even with it being busy, they were fast with service and the acoustics weren't making it hard to hear our table. Not gonna lie.. I think I'm in love with this place. My only gripe is that it's so far from me as the east side dweller.. actually I lied. I also wish that they had more drink options, as i walked around, looking at all the drinks and didn't find any that looked great to me. I got a fountain drink originally, but after trying the teas, I was not a fan (just not a tea drinker). Anyway, everything else was great from the customer service, to the portion of food, and the taste of the food as well! The Korean bowl had a great spice to it in flavor. It's always awkward when there's no human to take our order. It was a bit difficult too, since we've never been there. We couldn't find out how to build your own bowl. There was a person waiting and we were rushed so we chose the Korean Steak. I got rice and lettuce with mine and my husband got sweet potatoes and salad. We grabbed our table number and found a table. We sat in a corner and waited in a very clean and cute dining area. Our waitress brought our food about 20-15 minutes later. First impression: so small! Cost was around $14 for a bowl and we just expected a bigger portion. The steak was really good and. Wished I had more. I ate all the steak and mixed greens but didn't finish the rice. I was so excited when they opened a location here in Tucson- my husband loved the OG Chop when we lived in Phoenix. Super healthy and hearty menu with a huge variety! Options for proteins include chicken and steak as well as tofu and shrimp. You can even get the salads on a whole wheat or GF wrap (I'm a sucker for the Beet salad wrap - it's my inner Dwight)! The protein bowls are massive and the options for vegetables and starches are plentiful- big thumbs up for the sweet potato or jasmine rice in a bowl. I noted a few dishes that could be made vegan but opted to try the menu item that was offered fully plant based. You can place your order in person or at the screen. It did remind me a lot of Flower Child just across the street. My bowl was really good, and the perfect amount of food. It was just a little spicy - the perfect amount! It came with a couple of pita chips that you could dip into your hummus, and I loved the combo of lettuce, rice, chicken, and hummus! This was fantastic! We've been three time, tried different things and enjoyed all our meal. Healthy, fast and reasonably priced. The only thing I did not like was that using the order screen is a little bit difficult to get used to, and then they ask for a 20% tip when literally the workers don't actually provide any service to the diners. I left a small cash tip, but it is kind of annoying when you have to bus your own table. The restaurant itself is very charming, quaint, has a nice outdoor patio that we will enjoy in the nice months. Ordered a sandwich without avocado, it was written in the order and printed on the receipt for it to be left off yet still included in the sandwich. Immediately had to deal with reaction symptoms after biting into the sandwich and not seeing they had made the order wrong. We've been really excited to see one of these is opening in Tucson after trying this spot in Phoenix! Pros: We went a week or so after opening and had a good experience - the portions of our protein bowls felt generous for the cost and the food felt generally fresh and with quality veggies and meat. The staff was friendly and welcoming and seemed happy to be there. The lemonade was fresh and delicious, not too sweet. Cons: A few small things we noticed - some of the veggies were really burnt, so the cook was pretty uneven. There wasn't enough sauce, so the bowls ended up being pretty dry towards the end. When we got there, they couldn't find our online order, so it was delayed, though they were kind about it and quick to remedy, it did feel like they have a little ways to go with getting systems in place. Definitely try their bowls and protein shakes--they're a must! Amazing opportunity for quick drive-through, or dining in their beautiful building. Chop is a-ok. We ordered online for pick-up on our way home from the airport. I ordered the kale caesar salad and my husband ordered the Thai coconut chicken bowl with forbidden rice and greens. The parmesan cheese in the kale is not good quality. It was hard, dry and lacked any flavor, it reminded me of the pre-grated cheese from costco. The coconut chicken bowl also left a lot to be desired. The forbidden rice was super dry. Frankly, the meal was reminiscent of the pre-made salad choices at airports. Perhaps, the breakfast options are where Chopshop excels. Additionally, the staff on shift when we picked up our food lacked basic customer service skills, as in greeting customers. read more

Visited 9/29/2024. The kiosk was not necessarily difficult to navigate to order, but it takes time to get through the process and customers stacked behind me while I completed it. I had the Teriyaki Chicken with veggies and white rice. The portion was quite good sized, I should have ordered more teriyaki sauce with the bowl as there wasn't enough without it. Overall the food was really quite good, my stevia sweetened lemonade was still quite sour; not really my liking. The two things I'd mention are that the music was simply too loud; the acoustics of that space are not good and my friend and I struggled to carry on a conversation. The staff while reasonably friendly when they delivered our bowls are pretty disconnected from the customers since they aren't really forward facing from the moment you walk in the door and they are dressed pretty much like anyone else in the place which made it hard to determine who was staff and who was a customer. The food is the star here so want to make sure that I don't deter another from coming to visit the ChopShop - just know that if you are looking for a reasonably quite relaxing visit it doesn't quite fit that vibe. read more

This is my second time visiting this location. I ordered online and chose a group order. I sent my link to a few coworkers, they ordered and I sent it in. It was super easy to get what everyone wanted. I submitted our order and we headed to pick it up. We drove through their quick pick up window and we were greeted by the owner Scott. We went back to the office and handed everyone their order. Everything was exactly as we ordered, the food was delicious, and the seasonal lemonade was AMAZING! We went on their first day opening in Tucson and the service was great! I think they had several corporate level employees there and everyone was very attentive. We ordered the Korean steak bowl and the hot honey chicken bowl. Both were good but there was nothing revolutionary to report. I personally preferred the hot honey chicken bowl to the steak bowl; it had more dimension and a nice amount of sauce. I will say that this is the type of restaurant that Tucson is lacking, fast casual with healthy options. I am only sad they built this right next to Flower Child because the restaurants have similar concepts. While we were eating, we saw several sandwiches pass by that looked delicious.
