    Combos

Small, hole in the wall (in the best way possible) congee spot! Four of us stopped in on a Friday morning. They have an expansive menu of congee and rice noodle dishes. Their combo meals are a great deal and cash only. We ended up having to run across the street the bank to grab some cash. The waiter cautioned us that the combos were probably shareable (because we ordered 4 for 4 people) but we decided to still get the combos - we probably should have listened to the waiter! It was a ton of food! We got a combination of different congees, rice noodles, and fried noodles. We also ordered an additional order of fried dough rice noodles (that was so yummy with the peanut sauce!) Overall, really solid meal for a great price. It might be awhile until I'm back in the area but would definitely return if I have the opportunity!

This is an authentic family owned HK style congee place, We came here Sunday at noon, and got seated in 5min. Inside seatings are limited, so easily get lineup especially for big groups greater than 4. Foods here are high quality, freshly made, big portion, very reasonably priced, Ordered: Congee set with a deep fried dough 5/5 Hainan chicken rice 5/5 Bbq pork rice 4/5 Pan fried chives pork dumplings 5/5 Pan fried coconut sticky rice cake 4/5 The only complaint is they only have one lady doing service, cashier, clean up the table and deal with takeouts as well, so she is extremely busy, our foods took long time to come, I think they probably only have one person working in the kitchen as well. Other than that, great place for HK style cafe foods!

The interior is from 30 years ago, but amazingly, so are the prices: this restaurant offers decent Cantonese-style comfort food at amazingly low prices. Beef with coriander rice noodles are generously portioned and delicious. The congee is average -- a bit on the watery side. Hainan chicken rice uses a strange curry flavour instead of the traditional coconut, but is generous for the price ($9.50). The real star here is the prices, with no dishes priced over $10 and many special combos available for $7-$10. Note that if you order combos, they only accept cash. Parking is paid but free after 5 PM on weekends. There are plenty of tables for dine-in but this restaurant seems more popular for takeout and delivery.

Small place with great prices for their food. Was craving congee so I came here. My mom also liked it as well. Definitely will come back to try the Singapore noodles as I see lots of good reviews here. Everything was made to order. So it's fresh. Congee. Beef noodles. And fresh beef noodle roll.

Food was very good, service was very slow. It gets pretty busy around lunch time. You can order your food via app. There a QR code to scan and you can place your order. Very convenient to order in case they get very busy.

They say never judge a book by its cover - this is true for this little hidden gem. If you don't mind the outdated interior and you're craving for some authentic congee and rice noodles, give this place a try. Despite the fact that this place is tiny, their menu has a lot of variety. I'm sure there would be something suitable for everyone - adults and kids. We ordered the chicken congee, bbq pork rice noodles, and a fried rice noodle with beef. Lots of flavours and wok hey. They also have value combos for a great price - but honestly their entire menu is priced very reasonably. The downside is the parking. If you park directly in front then its paid parking. However, they do have complimentary parking if you drive up the parking structure located beside the office building.

Decent spot for congee, fried noodles, rice noodle rolls, noodle soups, dumplings and different dishes on rice available for delivery on Fantuan, DoorDash, SkipTheDishes, UberEats and F.O.D. Quick and easy delivery service!

Friendly staff, fast service, great portions for the price. Congee and rice noodle rolls are always a staple for Hong Kong breakfast or simply an afternoon tea snack. Venue itself is very basic, but reminds you of any congee storefront in Hong Kong. Ordered take out, and even after a car ride of 30 minutes, food was still fresh and kept its texture. 3 meat congee 4.5/5 - great rich flavours of the liver, stomach, and pork meat. The congee base itself is not too liquid nor was it overly thick as many tend to give. The consistency was perfect for me. Great amount of toppings, and I didnt think there was any MSG flavoring in it either, so I didnt feel like I had to drink a lot of water after. rice noodle roll 5/5 - smooth, silky and very soft to touch but good enough spring for you to pick up with your chopsticks and provide a nice texture in your palate. Not oily either as some places will pour some on top to give it another depth of flavour. Had the egg version and the bbq pork, both were flavourful in it's own way. The bbq pork wasnt chopping and mixed into the noodles, which I didnt mind as there was a good amount. Will go again if in the area!

Driving by and saw the new kid on the block for congee offerings ... went in to see the spread offered. Many options for the traditional fare for congee and rice noodles. I opted for their name sake Oriental Congee special which consisted of bbq pork, cuttle fish, fish cake, pork delicacies topped with a healthy serving of red skin peanuts accompanied with an egg steamed rice noodle. The flavours were a-ok and the rice noodle freshly steamed. With this being the first week of operations, will see how things smooth out. There currently is a 20% off grand opening but my order only had 20% off the lowest priced item and not the order... Will swing by again after they iron out the processes and will update accordingly.

Fish Slippery Congee + BBQ Pork Rice Noodles

This is a little gem in Scarborough. We ordered the all day congee combo set B (fish slippery congee + bbq pork rice noodles) and combo set C (pork blood congee + pan fried pork boy choy dumplings). These combos must be paid in cash. Portion size was quite generous, with lots of ingredients. They used sufficient rice to make the congee base. Very delicious, not too salty and watery. Too bad the pork chives dumplings were sold out. Service was awesome. The server brought us each a small bowl without us asking so we could transfer the hot congee into the small bowls to cool down enough to consume. No fancy decor but have lots of comfortable seatings. The AC temperature was high enough that we didn't feel hot while eating hot congee. The parking situation can be a little confusing. Outside parking are paid parking while the cover parking is not. Will definitely return.

You get a lot of congee and fried dough sticks for your money here. The taste was decent and it was filling. No complaints for the price.

Replacing master noodle that once was here, this place caught my attention when I was going home the other day and so I decided to try it today. They are your typical congee shop with different variety of congee, cheung fun, fried rice/noodle and appetizers dishes but all at a great price. Had the pleasure of trying their daily special (hainan chicken rice) but what was lacking was a stronger chicken oil essence and no traces of coconut fragrance. Nevertheless, at $6.99 it was a generous portion and the rice was nicely seasoned. As for the congee and cheung fun, we ordered a salted egg and pork congee with a chicken slice rice roll. Good portion for both but I would say the rice roll size is bigger than what you would get elsewhere. The soy sauce I would like to point out is somewhat different from what you get elsewhere. Where others are sweet, this had a sweet and smoky savoury flavour which was unique but very good. There are various all day combo and the congee + cheung fun one was $7.50. If you're looking for a quiet place to sit down and have some congee (sick or not), give this place a try!

Happened to be in the area. Searched Yelp and found this congee/steamed rice roll restaurant. So decided TOFTT. Clean , simple and family run. Attentive services. Rice rolls were made fresh. The one with brisket topping was really good. Meat was cut small and well cooked without losing flavour and texture which is just the way I like it. The rice rolls with egg filling was good as well. I could tasted actual egg. The "Sampan"congee was quite smooth and not starchy, although the ingredients were not quite "authentic" , lacking dry squid, pork rinds and etc. It tasted very home made, not salty nor MSG ridden. Decent prices. Thumps up! Too bad it is not located in RH.

The posters outside caught my eye, and I decided to come back with a group of three friends to try it out. We came a bit late around 8 PM, and most of the fish were already sold out except the original. We ended up ordering the Signature Spicy Grilled BBQ Fish ($40), a whole fish served bubbling hot with three toppings (potatoes, spam, and lotus root). You can choose between catfish and turbot, we chose the turbot fish. It looked extremely spicy, but the spice level was actually perfect. It was a bit on the oily side, but pairing it with rice balanced it out nicely. The fish was very tender and buttery, everything tasted amazing! We also ordered the Stir-Fried Egg with Tomato. The eggs were soft, the tomato sauce was rich. Not to mention the portion size was huge, we even had leftovers after eating until we were full. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean, and had plenty of seating. I think they were doing some sort of promotion so they gave us a $25 off coupon, though it expired pretty quickly so we didn't get to use it. I'd definitely come back for that grilled fish.

From the moment we walked in, the space already set the tone.. dark, dramatic, elegant, and beautifully designed without feeling overly stiff. It has that upscale energy that makes dinner feel like an occasion before you've even ordered anything. Food-wise, there was a lot to love. The signature apple wood roasted Peking duck was definitely a highlight, especially with the tableside carving, which made the whole experience feel even more polished and memorable. The skin had that beautiful lacquered finish, and the duck was rich, flavorful, and very satisfying. We also ordered a few larger dishes for the table, and I really appreciated how everything still felt refined without losing that comforting, indulgent side of Chinese dining. Some dishes leaned rich and luxurious, others were lighter and more aromatic, so the meal never felt repetitive. Service was another standout. Attentive without hovering, smooth without being too formal.. exactly the kind of service you hope for in a restaurant like this.
