We took my parents and family to Oregano's on a Sunday around 4 p.m. There were seven of us, and unfortunately the wait was very long. We waited about 1.5 hours just to be seated, and once we sat down, our food took another 45 minutes to arrive. That said, our server was great very attentive and friendly and the food itself was really good. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, and the portions were generous and perfect for sharing family-style. The restaurant was also clean and well maintained. The biggest downside was the excessive wait time. While the food and service were solid, the overall experience was overshadowed by how long everything took, and I don't think I would go back because of that. read more

We got served and seated almost right away and within minutes, the waitress took our order. It took a while to get our salad, but I forgot to take a picture of it. It was so big and tasty. Great chain location. No issues with this location. It is a very busy area across from the Spectrum Mall area. The food was great, it came at a decent price. The service was good. We were met quickly and seated fast. The server checked on us at decent intervals. It was not a busy day. I like the decor, it is similar to other Oregano's, drink and appetizer pricing was average. I don't usually rate chain restaurants higher than a 4 unless there is something amazing about it. I know that OReganos can fill up on certain days and times. There is no sports tv in the dining area, just old movies and shows for the decor. There is a heated area and outdoor patio. A full bar with decent options. OMG! Of course the pizza is top notch. We were here on a Sunday during a very busy time and the service was top notch. People were taking plates off the table. Isela was our waitress this afternoon and she was so wonderful, patient and kind. She explained the menu, the popular items and was very attentive to our family. We started with the cheesy bread and Caesar salad, then we all got entrees (shrimp Diablo 7/10, Alfredo dark 9/10, sweet and spicy chicken wings 7/10 and I got the turkey sandwich 8/10 . This is my first time at this location, the decor is just like the speedway location(lightly Italian inspired, red and green, and posters/items from the 50's and 60's). The food is great, I especially love the zany ziti. The prices are fair for the portion sizes. Also tried the sweet potato fries which are very good like a healthier dessert. The service was lacking, our waiter took seven minutes to greet us, after that we got regular check-ins. However after our food came out it was like he forgot we existed, we waited for a box and our bill and refill for ten to fifteen minutes as our waiter checked on other tables except us. Oregano's is the type of restaurant where sometimes you hate everything you get, and sometimes you love everything you get. I'm gonna tell you exactly what's good. The El Diablo Pasta is delicious and has a spicy kick to it but it's not intolerable. We like to ask for the pico de gallo on the side. Alfredo The Dark with chicken is my favorite pasta dish from Oreganos. It's flavorful, filling and the chili on the side gives it a good spice. For all pastas I prefer to order the breads on the side, because otherwise they get soggy. El Pablo salad is a must!!! A super tasty salad that again, is pretty filling. It's very flavorful and the sauce provided is so good, we often order extra. For appetizer, we got the Italian Fried Zucchini and they were delicious. Pretty flavorful and even better when dipped in the ranch. The star of the night were the Pretty Hot Jumbo Wings. They were super flavorful, pretty spicy, and huge so they were also really filling. The fries that come with them are very very good too. Super crispy and tasty. The shirley temple I got here needed a little more grenadine for my taste but it was still good! Plates here are big so we usually like to order 2-3 dishes and share it between 3-4 people. The service was great! Our waitress was very attentive and even helped us clean up a spill. The ambiance here is super cool. It feels as if you're actually in an italian diner or something similar. Make sure to bring a cardigan or a light jacket because it's pretty chilly. Music was leaning on a little too loud. Wait time here va of course but more often than not, we have to wait a while to be seated and for our food to arrive. When it comes casual Italian food with a modern twist, Oregano's is great. The meatball sub, Vino Bambino salad and Big Rig pasta are our faves. Oregano's is currently offering an amazing $30 special for their 30th anniversary and it's an amazing price for a lot of food- Two pastas, a giant salad and a pizza cookie- plenty of leftovers for the two of us. We're very happy to have an Oregano's close to home and regularly order takeout. I wish there were a few lighter options on the menu, but I understand that's not their thing. Around a year ago I posted a review of Oregano's largely based on their deep dish pizza. It was not a super favorable review, (though it was far from scathing either) I didn't have much desire to return since I had given it a couple of tries before posting a review, but we were in south Tucson and Oregano's was a convenient option and my partner wanted to try it (she hadn't eaten there before). I am very glad I had the opportunity to give them another shot. The restaurants themselves look and feel the same regardless of location (kind of like a chili's or TGI Friday's) and the service at all the locations I have visited has been good. This time we explored some pasta options on their menu since I knew I didn't care for the pizza. I had Alfredo the dark and it knocked my socks off. I have returned a few times and had a couple of menu items since and have been very happy every time. The prices are ok (not great but not unreasonable either) though I do take issue with selling garlic cheese bread but charging for marinara to dip it in. Stopped in here tonight for dinner and I was definitely not disappointed. Got the Caesar salad with chicken and a Bellini. Christina was my server and was super friendly and helpful with recommendations from the menu. The salad was huge and I brought home so much I will have two more meals. The chicken was flavorful and moist. Definitely recommend giving this place a try. I can't wait to come back to try their pasta Came back and ordered two meals to go, their bills pasta with meat sauce and another Caesar salad. Again I was not disappointed. The salad again was fresh and huge in the best to go packaging I've seen. Everything was separated so you could reheat the chicken if you chose too. The bills pasta also was more than one meal and the garlic bread came separated from the sauce which kept it fresh and crispy. I wish there was a stronger garlic flavor, but I understand not everyone likes garlic the way I do. We LOVE Oregano's, and this location has great outside seating but, today's dinner was disappointing. We had 5 different dishes and only 1 was as we expected. Something was off with the marinara, it was tasteless and thick which usually isnt the case. Our food arrived 30+mins after ordering and we could immediately tell it had been sitting for a bit prior to getting to our table since our food was not hot (parm cheese did not melt AT ALL). We asked for knives and were told they didnt have any clean at the moment and would bring some out as soon as they were cleaned. They did, but we were finished with our meals. We ended up taking two full plates home to try and make it better.. 2 stars since Mango Tango and beers were good along with the diablo shrimp. Our experience at the speedway location is always excellent so I guess its something to do with management or chefs at this location? Guess we'll stick to the other location which sucks since the outside seating here was great. Hopefully its looked into. read more

Such a wonder lunch today. Wanted something other than heavy food. Came in for salads and wow blown away. We decided to also try the wings and fried zucchini. The portion sizes are super generous. Wings were juicy, the regular "hot" version was perfect nice and spicy but not over the top. The fried zucchini was tasty too and the ranch that comes with it is just right. Service was efficient, attentive and courteous we went right when they opened to beat the crowds. They took care of the customizations I requested on my salad and made it to order. The food was delicious. The service was horrible. Sigrid took our order and brought us our drinks. After the food arrived we didn't see her the rest of the time. She didn't come by to see how we were doing and if we wanted refills. I had get up to go find her to ask for a To-go box and bill and had to take the bill up to her to pay. I would not recommend this establishment. We went there on a Saturday at 11:00am. My wife checked the credit card statement afterwards and saw that our waitress had added five dollars more to her tip, changing the "3" to an "8". I called them today and the manager said he would sit down and talk to her. This is fraud and she should be fired. Wonder how many other customers she's done this to? I don't usually write reviews, even less bad reviews, but both our experiences here have been so bad I feel I have to. This has been the second time that we've been left waiting for a ridiculous amount of time. The first time we were waiting for about 45-60 minutes after being told it would be a 10-15 minute wait. When we were finally seated we walked by several available tables confirming that the place wasn't even at capacity. We decided to give it a second chance, and it was almost an exact repeat of the first. We joined the waitlist when it was estimated 10-20 minutes and after more than one hour of waiting we decided to just leave. While I understand it's an "estimate," just as before, from the entrance where we were, I could see FIVE (5) empty tables (who knows how many available tables I could not see on the back since the restaurant wasn't exactly packed), one of which wasn't cleaned up for use at all during the last 20 minutes of our wait. And just before we left, a couple as seated at one of the empty tables despite the fact we had been the first ones on the waitlist for 20 minutes. It's a shame because this one is the closest to us, and the food is great, if you ever actually get seated, but I won't be returning to this location. I'd rather drive to the one on Speedway which has much better service and they actually use all their tables. read more
