I was excited to try Oregano's, but after my experience at the Irvington Road location, I am left with nothing but bad memories. Our waitress was a nice girl, but rather disorganized. She took our order for drinks-just tea, soda, and lemonade. After close to ten minutes had gone by, and my husband asked another server about our drinks, she finally brought them, telling us she'd had to go get ice. She then said she'd go get our silverware, as there was none on the table. I'm guessing she forgot, because about a half hour later my husband had to ask her to bring us some. As far as the food, I would describe it as subpar. My husband ordered garlic bread and asked that no marinara sauce be included. The garlic bread was delivered to the table with the marinara sauce. My husband asked our waitress to please take the sauce off our bill as he hadn't wanted it. Our daughter ordered a mini pan pizza and asked for only mozzarella and spinach on it. She asked for no tomatoes. When her pizza arrived, it had tomatoes on it. I told the waitress and she said she'd put a note asking for no tomatoes. She did remove the pizza and take it off the bill. She brought my daughter another pizza, but by the time she got it, my husband and I were already done eating. Some of the pizza looked burnt, and my daughter didn't like it. The spinach was mixed in with the cheese instead of being on top of the pizza. We ended up buying our daughter In-N-Out Burger after we left. I ordered a slice of thin crust pizza with black olives and feta cheese. The crust was dark brown and overcooked, and the pizza was terrible. Our waitress told us it arrives to the restaurant partly precooked and they heat it up. I also ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich. There were Italian spices baked into the cheese. Way too much Italian spice! I love Basil, Oregano, etc., but they are supposed to add subtle flavor to foods, not hijack the entire meal. A limp pickle was included with my sandwich which I did not eat. The waffle fries were good at least, but not worth the $12.99 my meal cost. Overall, the timing of the service was off. We had to wait too long for our drinks, as mentioned earlier, the silverware didn't arrive until later, also mentioned earlier. I spilled a small amount of my iced tea and there was nary a napkin to be found, so I had to ask for some. Parts of our meal arrived after too long of a wait, and other parts didn't come until a bit later. My husband asked for another soda, and it took so long, he thought our waitress had forgotten. Finally, we sat at the table just waiting for our check well after we'd finished our meal. It was not a busy time of day. This was a weekday, in between the lunch and dinner rush, in the afternoon. Just as we were getting ready to leave, our waitress apologized and said she hoped we'd come back and try something else and give the restaurant another chance. If I am getting shrimp pasta, I would expect the shells to be taken off the shrimp so I don't choke on them. Well Oreganos doesn't think the same. I ordered the shrimp caprese pasta and the shrimp still had shells on them and I had to dig through the pasta to get all the shrimps shells off which is not practical and messy. read more

First time at this location. Second time eating at Oregano's overall. Service: Service was awesome! It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. Took about 30 minute wait, I like that they ask for a phone # so we can check our wait time through yelp and it alerts when our table is ready. Our waitress was very friendly and overall awesome. They do military discount! Food: The food here is very good. We got the broccoli for an appetizer, I know kind of weird, but it was so good. Buttery, sautéed and had Parmesan cheese on it. I got a beef sandwich (don't remember the name) it was sooo good. They don't skimp on the meat which I like. It had peppers and onions in it and whatever sauce was on it made it so much more tasty. I also got the mango twist drink. It's non alcoholic and it was good. Very very sweet though. My friend got the Alfredo after dark (I think it's called) and it is what she usually gets but hers was very good. Act of Kindness My wife Judy and I had dinner here on Tuesday, 9/12 about 6 pm. We enjoyed a pleasant dinner enjoying the Pablo Picasso Salad and a bowl of Italian Wedding soup with a glass of wine. It was a kind of a slow night for such a busy place, the service was good and the food was good, the Pablo salad is our favorite and we always split it as we did the soup. When it came time for our check our waitress informed us that the very nice Hispanic couple seated across from us had paid for our dinner. I never saw the couple as they were seated slightly behind me where I would have to turn but my wife described them as a nice attractive Hispanic couple who were enjoying some interesting looking food that looked rather tasty. I would so like to thank them for the inspiration and reminder that random acts of kindness are witnessed by many but yet not enough in today's world. Thank you very much for our dinner but more than that, thank you for the reminder and inspiration to pass those types of actions along to others. Judy says she would recognize them if we saw them again and we hope to, we kind of frequent Oregano's as I mentioned, we LOVE the Pablo Salad! Maybe we will run into them some day. read more

Ate here recently, would not recommend. We won't be returning and are super disappointed because we had hoped to have a good experience to build on in the future. The thin crust pizza was soaked in sauce and the pizza was like eating soggy noodles. Really unappetizing. The pasta dish was ok, but the sauce tasted like it was off- like it had turned rancid. The appetizer was good, but super greasy. Walking through the restaurant was an adventure in itself: the floors are slick with grease, you'll be lucky to make it across the room without cracking your skull. The majority of our party suffered from nausea and gastrointestinal distress for the next 20 hours after we left. Warning: Avoid this place. The decor is really nice reminded me of Buca di Beppo. It shows off a Italian feel with spaghetti and pizza, pastas but then you have Italian style guacamole??? And El Diablo shrimp if I recall, el Diablo? It's like someone couldn't drop the Hispanic and go full Italian so they incorporated that in there, little things like that, they just confuse me. Spaghetti wasn't good the marinara was dry like chunky and not saucy so it wouldn't mix well at all with the pasta. I had never been to an Oregano's before last night and was looking forward to trying it. We were seated immediately. Our server was good and attentive. The place was clean and the ambiance was fun, decorated with forties themed items. I ordered the Hakuna Picatta, a chicken picatta dish, because I love chicken picatta. When my food arrived it was lukewarm and the chicken was so well done that I could not cut it with the butter knife provided. I pretty much couldn't even get my fork into it. This is not an exaggeration. The pasta was okay (not great) but was dry around the edges like it had been sitting a while. Im relate that menu described the dish as two large baked chicken breasts but the pieces were not large - not that I wanted more but they were thin pieces which probably contributed to them being so overdone. My husband described his turkey sandwich as "okay" and our friend (who had been excited about introducing us to Oregano's) liked her Bollo Pasta. I did not send my good back because I did not want to disappoint our friend but I will never go to Oregano's again. I love the Pablo Picasso salad! It's so delicious with the chicken and jalapeños! I wish they would sell it in a smaller size though. I'm never never able to finish it. I love the gold wings. And their pizza cookies are amazing! They have many different flavors to choose from. The salted caramel is my favorite. The pizza and pasta are OK. Nothing that I would consider amazing. First time coming to this Oregano's. We decided to do the lunch special and were super excited over their bottomless bowl of pasta. I will say that the server was quote on quote "nice." She smiled politely and had a nice, sweet voice. However, she did not check on us, ask if we needed anything or went out of her way to give us good customer service. We had to be the ones that asked for our check and our take out box. It's Mother's Day and it was packed at Oregano's. Not to be seated but for to go food orders. They were behind about an hour and people were hangry. The staff was lovely, patient and losing tips due to the chaos. They took a big hit today with people abandoning their orders and customers expressing discontent. We got our order an hour after our scheduled pickup time but thankfully we got our food and didn't have to go elsewhere. Made it home with our frozen Belinis which were amazing! Food was delicious as usual! Thank you for making Mother's Day during COVID19 still amazing. We were saddened that we left and didn't sign off on our receipt which means we didn't get to leave a tip, which I'll take care of tomorrow. I wrote a review a moment ago but I'm new to yelp so I copied and pasted this to ensure I reviewed the correct location. My first impression was it was a nice place. The music was a bit obnoxious but that's the only negative I can find here. I'm a truck driver so I've eaten across the United States. I've eaten cuisine from McDonald's to a couple hundred dollars a dish. That being said, this place tops them all. I didn't know this place existed but my Uber driver recommended this place. I'm thankful for him! The food here is superb. Down to the dressing everything was amazing. Our server was Karina M. I am definitely impressed with her. She was friendly, inviting, knew the menu and made recommendations that were spot on! Pretty standard fare as chain restaurants go. We ate at the bar and the bartender was competent. The pizza was enjoyable and the tossed salads were big, though apparently they had to cook longer because they came out last. When we were done with empty plates we were asked if we wanted a box. Friend and I went to Oregano's for lunch today. We were seated right away, then waited to be waited on for 10 minutes - and they were not at all busy. Robert was our server, and was attentive and polite. He told us up front that the pizza would take 25 minutes. We ordered the lunch specials of antipasto salad and personal pan pizza. The salad was delicious, the plates were ice cold and it and more than enough for two people. When the pizza arrived it was luke warm and had obviously been sitting for awhile. Well, surprisingly enough, I enjoyed Oregano's much more as a takeout restaurant during the covid-19 pandemic. Last night, we got the 2 pasta meals, salad, and a cookie for 30% off. Lots of food and great taste. We both got the Alfredo the Dark with shredded chicken, but they did miss our garlic bread! The salad was great. We saved it for today to eat. The pizza cookie (1/2 chocolate chip and 1/2 macadamia nut) was a bit disappointing. It was undercooked tasting and the ice cream (of course, no fault of theirs) was melted. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name but it was very good and we would definitely order it again. Two of us had the lasagna, which was some of the best I've had. Great sauce and lots of meat. One of our companions orders the the thin crust pizza which he has had often and is a favorite. I tasted a piece and my choice would be to order one of their thicker crust options. My husband had the chicken parmesan which was also good - but he kept trying to steal bites of the lasagna I was saving for lunch the next day! A great experience all around. This is a very unique/upbeat restaurant. It was our 1st time, we were treated from the moment we walked in to the very end of our meal; we had the manager, server, host, and waitress with very high hospitality, upbeat and professional service here is solid. Food, menu and ambient atmosphere has made this my new favorite place. We weren't very hungry, had salads that were huge (enough for 2) and delicious. Also had the Mac n Cheese that came with a slice of garlic bread--DELICIOUS! Definitely bringing my out of town guests. Recommend to everyone I know to visit Oreganos. I really couldn't tell if she was having a bad night or what her actual issue was but, Charlie if you're reading this, please try to coach and mentor this young lady into providing the same type of excellent customer service that you offer. And if someone higher than Charlie is reading this, give that man a raise because he truly understands the concept of customer service, where most of his young staff lacks. Now for the food! The food is actually really good. I have always found that chain restaurants typically don't offer meals as tasty as the mom and pop joints, but Oregano's does a pretty good job with flavors and portions. Bang for your buck factor.
