Update-the manager followed up with me, even offered a gift card, yet I did not share for that reason, so I will not be getting that. He said they are always trying to do better, and they will continue to. I will give this place another try as the communication was appreciated. read more

Make your reservations online. Food is very good. Food tastes authentic and the portions are large. Waitstaff used to pack leftovers in box for us, but they don't seem to do that anymore, which always made us feel like they we're going above and beyond. Servers are very attentive and come around often to check on you. read more

What has happened to Oregano' s Downtown Gilbert?? We have been coming here for years. Tonight left us all with a jaw dropping experience. Terrible. To begin with appetizers. Horrible. Bone-in Chicken wings...no kidding...like drum sticks. Large. Gross. Ravioli. Looked and tasted dried out like it had been waiting days to be served. Calamari. Never presented that way. Looked like half onion rings. Sauce was so thick, no way could you get it on a piece of the calamari. Thin crust pizza. Sausage, pepperoni extra cheese. The sausage resembled dog food spread across in non-specific clumps. Just gross. The salads. Big Beefstro and Vino Bambino. Both served in bowls, much smaller than we ever remember. The Beef Beefstro was just gross. The shaved beef was in clumps. So gross you didn't want to see what else was in the salad. Vino Bambino I didn't try, but whoever did, only had a spoonful. Total bill with tip almost $200. Waiter was really good, but I hope he finds a more reputable place to work at. I don't do reviews, but hope somebody reads this and corrects the PROBLEMS. We will never go back. So sad. Oregano's was one of our GO-TO spots. read more

Tasty pizza and great service. We sat on the patio and our server kept drinks filled and helped with food suggestions. We got one of the specialty pizzas and it was filling even with the thin crust. read more

JUST THE WINGS, MA'AM.... In town visiting family and they were insistent on getting some ziti...I just wanted some chicken wings. They came with homemade chips (unbeknownst to me) with each order which were actually good the next day. I had 2 orders of their wings (they come in batches of 10) as hot as they could make them, and had bleu cheese dressing to "cool them down" and an order of fries (they were waffle). I'm accustomed to putting the equivalent of liquid hot magma style wings in my mouth, but I guess this is as close as it gets by Gilbert standards. The flavor was still good with a nice slow burn at the end (hot enough for mere mortals to possibly complain) and was actually a bit better the next day after the sauce had soaked in some more. If you happen to be in the area and want some wings...GET YA SUM!! OH, and the Italian food is pretty good too.... read more

My Michigan family introduced this to us Arizonans. Lol. Fun that they brought dough for kids. Loved the patio. The potatoe pizza made my pregnant niece need to come back asap. Thanks for great service .. Great food. Today, a little disappointed. We asked to sit on the patio, because of the kids being cooped up... Took forever to get our beverages, and this is the first time we are being treated as " customers in passing". Lack of attention, forgetting one of the kids dough balls... Officially, worst experience today. Pizzas were dry. Kinda sad that our special day / special meal was sub-par. Downgraded my review from 5 to 3. 3 being generous. read more

Perfect family venu, bit do not appreciate the crowding. But thankfully I don't live in that area.

If you've never listened to a yelp review before today's the Day to start because OMG!! Oregano!!! You had everything we were looking for. The excitement, The atmosphere made me feel like I was in Italy visiting my family. The seasoning let my taste buds dancing all night. As per usual, really good food and service. I can't recommend the waitlist enough. The lines here can be insane, so it's worth it to plan ahead. read more

I'm glad we came here today and honestly I really liked it. They have really amazing food and the server Ria was really nice. If you get the salad they are really big and they feed at least 2 people. I am definitely coming back. read more

I wish I could give this less than 1 star. I absolutely love this restaurant but tonight was insane. We had reservations at 6pm and arrived on time and seated. Our drinks were taken and brought to the table and in the first hour our drinks were never refilled. We were told because the kitchen was busy. We kept seeing to go orders being filled but in house guests were not being taken care of. We planned for 2 hours to eat before put time to go to a show and I didn't get my meal until 2 minutes before we had to leave. The man who brought my daughters pizza dropped half of it on her pants and the floor. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and I will not be going back to this location again. I did not get to eat my food before having to leave to make out show time. read more

The golden wings are amazing! A must try! The pizzas are also yummy but those wings definitely stood out.

Brian, the lead Bartender, is awesome! He exudes such a warm and friendly demeanor which makes our visits pleasant! We don't do many reviews but just had to recognize Brian for having such a great personality! He's an asset to your team. read more

Order for take out today. SOOO GOOD, we got the stuffed pizza along with a salad. When I called she was very pleasnant and polite. I arived when they told me it would be ready but it was still about 5 more minutes, no biggie. The young gilrs working the take out area were very pleansant and proffesional wich is refreshing when dealing with highschool kids. And they gave me a beverage on the house. The pizza could not have been any better, dynamite! and the service was outstanding. The only thing wrong was they forgot to slice my pizza, ooopps, things happen read more

The staff is always friendly. I had my first taste of oreganos almost a year ago and tired the Alfredo the dark with chicken. I haven't tried anything else. This dish is my favorite and I am never disappointed. read more

So we went my husband and I today to have a late lunch at Oregano's. I've been wanting to try this branch for a while now but every time we were at downtown Gilbert, the lines were out the door so we never had the chance to try it. Today I decided to call before we went and to my surprise they were open and had no wait so we headed there immediately. We were seated as soon as we walked in and our waitress took our drink orders and gave us time to look at the menu. Although we were very hungry, my husband and I decided not to order appetizers because my husband knows their portions are very big. So we ordered the eggplant pasta dish and the O-Riva pizza. The first issue we encountered was the delay. After we placed the order, we had to wait for over 30 min for the food to come out. All during which no one came to us to apologize for the delay or to let us know that they were following up with our order. We didn't see our waitress at all till a few min before the order came out and she didn't talk to us. When the food came, no one said any thing either, as if it's customary to wait that long for food here! So the food looked great however I must say, it looked better than it tasted. The pizza was so full of Kalamata olives, it overpowered everything else on the pizza, we honestly did not enjoy it very much. As for the eggplant pasta dish, it was ok but to me, it was flat. The marinara sauce was disappointing, it really didn't have much flavor other than plain tomato! I was so excited to finally go to Oregano's having tried it once before about a year ago now in Scottsdale and while my first experience was great (and I should have written a review then), this one was not up to par and I left disappointed. I'm Really hoping our next visit to this location will be much better. I'm not giving up on the restaurant yet and will give it another chance! read more

Love Oreganos normally but the service was super slow. We arrived around 11:15 on a Monday and the two of us had to wait 30 minutes to be seated and there were plenty of open tables. I guess they needed more help? Not sure.. It then took about 45 minutes just to get one small pizza. Not good. I still love the food and that is the only reason they get 4 stars. Service was 1 star. read more

Picked up an online order last night and while it took longer than expected the food was amazing and staff was fantastic. Labor shortages are real and Oreganos pizzas take a long time. Just wanted the staff and restaurant to know they are appreciated and their positive attitude and the food will keep us coming back. Thank you Gilbert Oreganos! People need to realize no one wants to work in restaurants and hotels. We appreciate the people who do and smile when doing it. read more

Awesome spot usually. Unfortunately wasn't aware after waiting 30+ minutes after check in for our reservation that their outdoor patio is not dog friendly. Which blows my mind considering downtown Gilbert is dog central. Otherwise all in all great place, just would have like to have this patio be dog friendly, otherwise why deal with all the noise and temperamental weather Arizona throws any given day. Don't understand the reasoning why their patio wouldn't be dog friendly. Anyways customer service was still awesome, people and servers were friendly. Handled it well as possible. The stars are for them. I'll be out on the town eating at Postinos or OHSO or joyride where they are extremely dog friendly as I found out tonight, leaving my friend at home on a Friday night so I can eat here is not my idea of a good time. Just a great experience to have your pets with you enjoying the night instead of being locked away at home. Hope you can reconsider this to make everyone happier! read more

I have had nothing but great experience here, when my Sister in law and niece came to Visit from Cali I brought to Oregano's and the next trip the whole family came from Cali and we ate here they all LOVED it. We visit here regularly! The stuffed pizza is a must have. It does take about 50 minutes to make so if you're hungry and there's a wait you can order it before you get to the table with the hostess. We got calamari as an appetizer which is delicious. All of their pastas are also great. My families favorite is the ziti. If you are in the mood for a cocktail, they have a variety of original house drinks. The root beer float drink is tasty! They also have a banquet room if you are interested in hosting an event here. My fiancé and I will be having our rehearsal dinner here in April. The only downfall about this location is that the parking can be a challenge. Downtown Gilbert can be busy in the evenings which leads to having trouble parking and long wait times at the restaurants. But it's worth the wait. read more

Was told 30-45 minutes initially. After waiting over one hour we left. We were told just before we left that there was only one table that could accommodate my family of 6. A responsible and effective hostess would have let us know this in advance instead of keeping us waiting far past our estimated time. We celebrated our son's birthday at another restaurant that seated us quickly within our estimated wait time. read more

this is the alfredo the dark, it came with this bread which was a little to crunchy for my preference so I switched with my friend who's meal came with a different kind of bread. The meal was very nice and plentiful, nicely cooked noodles with very light but flavorful cheese based sauce. The service was good, nice and friendly people and a good experience. Fun environment as well and pretty fair priced. read more

Giving three stars now since Oregano is making it right and cares about the customer experience! Not all do so thank you!

I believe in supporting restaurants during Covid. My family has been going to Oregano's since there was only one in Scottsdale. We ordered our favorite pizza in for our anniversary. The cheese was adequate but the toppings were half what they normally are. Disappointing. If you expect people to support you, do it right. read more

So we came in today we had to wait 15-20mins at the bar with open seating in plain view. We were sat near the bathroom where someone was having a extreme bowel and sat there for 15mins with a waiter that said he will be right back and passed us 3 times. We never were asked if we needed drinks or anything we ended up walking out with the manager chasing us outside asking if he can make it up and we said no we waited long enough. read more

3.5 stars. My brother lives in Gilbert and his family worships this place. We've been three times in as many years. While the ambiance is fun and pub-like, the staff generally fun and friendly, and the service reasonably good, the food is on par with other locally-owned chains we've eaten at. Oregano's has the feel of a place that probably started off as a great place but has gotten too big for its britches. The result is a place that comes across as a bit commercialized and not as homey as they want it to feel. The salad's are insanely huge, we're talking the size of a mound of hay for a horse. Seriously. All of the food here is good to very good. We'll continue to visit because it's a fun place to enjoy each other's company. read more

Great food, ordered the stuffed with pepperoni and roasted garlic. It was awesome! If you have kids that just want regular pizza then be sure to get the 14 inch cheese and the kids are happy. Also got the Vino Bambino salad and the 1/2 chocolate chip half peanut butter pizza cookie. If you are feeding a family of 6 you should order 2 cookies. read more

We stumbled upon this place and are very happy with our lunch choice! We split a sandwich and a pasta dish. Both were out of this world delicious! Service was great and very attentive. We will definitely back. read more

First off this is a very very popular location, so you may have a wait and it'll be worth it to join the waitlist on the Yelp app because they don't do reservations or call aheads. They have recently expanded to have a nice size outdoor seating area and have a private room for large parties. If you're going to order their deep dish pan pizza you're going to have a wait of about an hour for it to cook. They do not do free bread or anything so you may want to order appetizers if you're hungry. The pizza lacks flavor to me, the calamari is really good, and their cookie dessert is the best thing to order here. read more

Steff and I wanted a place to celebrate our new house. Steff loves pasta and put her vote in for Oregano's. They were one of the first eateries we visited years ago when we came to visit our daughter and her husband. We enjoyed the people and food so much it left a lasting impression, so when she said, "let's go to Oregano's, but don't have pizza" I was, hmmmmm I want something I've never had before then. We arrived during a late dinner rush with all of the waiting areas full and my first thought was...oh man! We went in and the hostess came right over and since it was just the two of us they had a table waiting! It was like VIP service! God has blessed us in so many ways and this was like affirmation of all the things that have come our way recently! We sat and looked at the menu, I knew Steff would have spaghetti with meat sauce, the Original bollo pasta and I had the Alfredo the dark and was exceptional! The Smokey flavor of the chipotle and a bit of spice! I loved the roasted jalapeño, I may have found my new fave at Oregano's. I had two sausages added to the meal, but 1 would've been enough, all was sooo good! read more

Tonight we decided to dine on the patio and had the most WONDERFUL experience. It's very rare that I feel the need to rave about a Saturday night dinner in Gilbert, but tonight was exceptional. Food is good. Service is decent. The place is absolutely filthy. I mean, really dirty. Just look at the caked on grease and dust on the chandeliers. Walls. windows, especially in back dining area are sticky and in need of attention. This is not a review I want to post. I really like this place. but the conditions are such that I have to. Unacceptable levels of grime, obviously untouched. You guys need to get this fixed and the GM needs to walk through this restaurant with a fresh pair of eyes read more

We ordered a pizza . When it arrived it looked amazing then I took a bite. It was the most funky tasting pizza I've had. I wish I could of given it good reviews but it was nasty. Somehow it tasted like soap. Their sausage had huge overly salted chunks and I don't know what herbs was put on or in it but it clashed with the whole thing. Maybe rosemary ? It wasn't basal or oregano I was tasting. I eat those all the time. Maybe the herbs clashed with the peppercini's and the sage in the sausage which I could barely taste in there anyways because the meat chunks had too much salt added. Two pieces was all I could stomach . It left a horrible after taste and gave me a pretty bad stomach ache. This is coming from someone who likes all types of food. I am not picky. Sorry guys I wish I could give a good rating but I feel I should warn others before they spend their hard earned money. It was a nasty soapy taste mess. Probably should change it up some for the future buyers. The crust was awesome though. read more
