Great pizza, except I think the yellow cheese is weird and out of place on it. I would recommend their salad especially. Do not consider getting the calamari- it is obviously cheap, frozen sticks of squid. read more

Not a guy that usually writes a bad review especially during today's challenging times for restaurants but this has to be said. Today was the second try (out of 2) that our food took almost 2 hours to arrive. Once in the resi and once with an online order. The only reason we tried the online order was because they gave us a gift card for the first visit of "just a few more minutes " we won't ever return. Sad because we enjoy the food...once it arrives read more

I don't wanna sound like a Karen because I usually don't have an issue with most places. I usually tip good and I understand that working at a restaurant can be a hard job....however ever since I started eating at this place I've ordered on Uber eats. Maybe they aren't aware that they are on Uber eats but I'm sorry it's 2024. Get with it. You wanna make money, then get online and be aware of your presence there. Anyways the problem with this place is that every single time we have ordered since moving here they've messed up my order...whether they miss an item or give me something completely different it's abysmal every time. It's also greasy and definitely not even close to the best Italian food on the market. I've had much better. The menu makes the food look nice but it's not better than Olive Garden or bucca di beppo or any other hole in the wall place. They usually ruin my night when I'm just trying to have a nice family dinner at home...there's better places. There's better cooks out there. read more

My family of 7 enjoyed dinner for the first time yesterday at the Oregano's Gilbert location. Great food! Believe it or not..... amazing Calamari. But the best part aver all was the amazing service from Rianna. She was100% on top of it ! Her service was professional, friendly, accurate and overall awesome! Thank you ! read more

Always a good go to for dinner! Fantastic salads and pizzas. Fun atmosphere with high energy wait staff. Highly recommend the Pablo salad!

My husband and I have always loved this place, and we had another great time this past weekend. It was crazy how many people were put in downtown Gilbert, but oreganos did a great job of social distancing. They opened up their private dining area to make sure they could really spread out the tables! As usual, the food was great as well. We tried a guacatoni appetizer, which was a fun Italian styled avocado toast. And their big family style portions for the entrees are so good and make great left overs! All in all fun night out, complete with a pizookie. read more

This is a decent location right in downtown Gilbert. Like anywhere in downtown Gilbert these days, parking is going to be a bit of a hassle. If you are going for lunch, you can get a spot in the lot behind the restaurant about half the time. Otherwise, you're banished to the public lot 4-5 minutes away. There is usually a wait here on Friday and Saturday nights. You can opt to go get a drink across the street and come back as the waiting area is non-existent here. The inside is a bit funky in that it seems very compartmentalized. Some tables here, some booths over there, then another building altogether on the other side of the restaurant. The food here is good. My favorites are the Big Rig Pasta, the Guaca-Tony, and of course the Pizza Cookie. Last time, I had a mini-stuffed pizza that hit the spot. Although it was a mini-pizza, it filled me up. The one thing I like about this place is the consistency of the food. Every single time, you know what you are getting and it will be good. I've never had a bad meal here. read more

OMG Hadn't been in years and it didn't disappoint! Peroni beer on draft an amazing super green salad And some of the best pizza you'll ever eat : we did a half margarita half meat lovers thin crust We sat at the bar and Matt the bartender was an absolute delight Big asset to have him serving the customers. Today was not a good visit. We ordered a small thin crust pizza , garlic bread, iced tea and a water. We were seated where we were the first ones there in a line of 3 booths. We received or drinks and garlic bread fairly fast. Well, as we sat there the other booths filled up. They were both big families. One booth received their order very quickly I asked the waiter if you can order ahead and he said no. We were never given a reason for our very long wait or apologized to by our server. After 40 minutes a woman told us that there was a mixup in the kitchen and it would be another 10minutes. I told her we would not be staying and she said not to worry about paying our small bill. The whole experience really upset me. Was it because we were party of 2 and both older people? Today was not a good visit. We ordered a small thin crust pizza , garlic bread, iced tea and a water. We ordered a couple of pizzas this evening for take out as we live close by. - I had the Numero-One-O and my husband did a BYO. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too salty!!! I could barely choke mine down, and finally just gave up. My husband's wasn't quite as bad, but he ordered green olives on his pizza and they also put black olives on it which he doesn't care for. Also, I appreciate the attempt at the thin crust, but it was not the least bit crispy, just soggy and weird. Definitely not the pizza for us. read more

The food is great. Pizza is thin and we like it that way, the crust is delicious. Oreganos is usually crowded. The place is very tight and very loud. They don't seem to accept large parties very well (we had 8). It took an hour and a half to get our table when we were told 45 minutes. Service was OK, nothing fantastic or notable with our server or staff. Pickup is always a challenge as well as there are many people hanging around and there is general confusion in the atmosphere. Lunch specials are great though, and is probably my favorite time to visit as there is not as many people and the staff has time to work with the customers. read more

Chris was good the only reason he didn't get 5 stars is because he forgot little things like the lemons for our water and the salt on the rim of the beers but besides that he was good and the food was great, besides the calamari they tasted and looked like fish sticks but he was great when we returned it he made sure it was off the bill and the Mac N Cheese was actually the best thing we ordered spicy and very yummy!!!! read more

My husband and I have been loyal customers for years. Tonight that ends. We took a little break because we did feel like the food was going downhill for a while. Tonight we decided to order takeout and were told it would 30 minutes. My husband got there after 30 minutes and was told to wait outside (we have never been asked to wait outside & it was said in a rude manor) - my husband asked where they said wherever you can hear us call your name (the doors were all shut). Well, it ended up taking 50 minutes for our order so we had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Then once he got home, they forgot something. They pretty much have forgotten some part of our order every single time we have ever ordered takeout there. The food tasted mediocre and the only good part was the pizza cookie. We will pass and look for a new Italian go-to spot. Such a shame. read more

Order to go and the food did not disappoint! I haven't been here in over 5 years but my wife mentioned this spot and we decided to remind our tastebuds of what this place was! Overall, the food was great and service was prompt and professional. We had the Chicago style pizza and our friends had multiple pasta dishes that they both seemed and said they enjoyed. read more

The deep dish pizzas are amazing- the cheese is out of this world ! One slice will get you full and that's saying alot because I'm usually a 4 slice eater. I've never had a chance to dine in here with COVID, but have ordered take out about 10 times from this location. We have never been steered wrong. The staff is friendly and the food is never late or cold. read more

This was my first time here and I have become an instant fan!!! GREAT pizza with toppings that are so fresh you can taste the difference!!! The wait can be long, but trust me!! They also have great beer and wine on tap !!! Get some and put it in your face !!! read more

We have been to Oreganos many times and this evening was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. With the exception of the waitress being polite and apologetic, the rest of the service was below average. It took over 10 minutes to get just water and my husband had to ask were the beer was as it took another 10 minute to get that. We ordered one cheese bread and one regular garlic bread, out came both cheese bread. They happily took the other away to throw into the garbage. Then dinner. The 12" pizza was average. Kids each got a kid slice and we're fine. I ordered the Basta Pasta that I have had many many times before. It came with barely warm noodles, no cheese and two olives a couple sun dried tomatoes. The chicken was warm. I said something to the waitress and she happily returned to the kitchen. When the second pasta was delivered I took one bite and this big chunk of brown something was in the pasta. Myself assuming it was sausage (not suppose to be in the dish) asked the waitress to please take it away. The manager then comes back to our table with the brown chunk to let us know it was not sausage, but chicken skin!!! Really, should of left it at sausage. The actual reason we even went out was for our sons birthday (his choice). They both got a cookie desert and both came with ice-cream mush vs cookie and ice-cream on top. When you can't see any of the cookie and the ice-cream looks like whip cream - probably left it sit to long. This Oreganos is not what is used to be here and the service surly has slipped. We will defiantly look to dine somewhere alternate that we can hear each other talk and the service is better. Very happy that there are many more options in downtown Gilbert to dine now. read more

Yum! Really great tasting pizza! My friend introduced me to the Grandma G's and I will not order any other pizza again! This was so delicious that I can't put enough "yums" to it. It's a thin crust pizza with chicken, gorgonzola and havarti cheeses, roma tomatoes, rosemary, caramelized onions, and sliced potatoes...oh yes I said potatoes. Fantabulous! 4 day later I went back and took the hubby and ordered the same exact thing. haha! I've taken the fam here before too and we had the typical "everything" pizza and also have tried their pasta which was good too. But if you're coming here, you've got to get the Grandma G's 18 inch and get a large house salad with their chipotle ranch dressing. Also you've got to try the calamari because that is delicious too! They are perfectly cooked, lightly breaded (so you can actually taste the squid) and it compliments both the pizza and the salad. My friend said "I will never leave Arizona because of this one pizza!" You know...I probably would agree with her. Just try it =) NOTE: Be prepared to wait if you're coming in for dinner, even if you think you're coming for an early one. The wait can be daunting and discouraging, so I would suggest you either call for a pick-up or go for a late lunch (maybe around 1-ish or 2). At least try this place once...you won't be sorry! read more

The kitchen was very slow and they came to our table twice to tell us they were out of staples like pesto and mushrooms. Odd for an Italian restaurant. Still, the server was nice and helpful and the food was good when it arrived. Best thing was that they have gluten free menu items, which saved it for us. read more

Oregano's food is good. This service was subpar. I think that this is downtown Gilbert, so it is going to be packed. They are either overwhelmed or under performing. Not terrible but little things in service slip ups like forgetting a drink or part of an order or getting an order completely wrong. They don't seem to care if you are going to return as the bill comes unadjusted and the waitress asks "How was everything?" Either clueless or indifferent to the circumstances of a celebratory meal. read more

As good if not better as any pizza I have ever had. We did a thin crust 18 inch. The Number One & another meat combo. Served five of us with a bottle of wine with appetizer $75. Tried the appetizer with guacamole. Salad very fresh. Did the large Oregano and shared. Leftovers to take home. Can hardly wait to go again. read more

I just looked on my bank statement. They gave me a refund on my bill. I appreciate it, thank you. Sincerely...Restaurant Manager or corporate person, hear my review and see the pictures! If something is spicy it needs to be clearly labeled on the menu as spicy. When a parent calls asking if a child's dish is spicy, please help the staff answering the phone to say Yes it is spicy....but we have (this) dish that is similar but NOT spicy. Please let your staff know they were not helpful that evening. The meat/salad dish was literally a handful of greens with a flick of cheese and that small portion of meat. There was no care or art demonstrated in that meal. Some people may not care how their food arrives just as long as it gets inside their mouth. I am not like that. Would you be at all inspired to eat that and exclaim "what a marvellous dinner!" Am I expecting too much in these Corona virus quarantine times? I tipped really well because I was grateful for the prospect of having some yummy food. It was disappointing. Thx read more

We LOVE this restaurant!! It's our go to place for pizza! Caroline is our favorite server. She always makes our experience like we are seeing family! My husband and I recently relocated to Arizona from Chicago. Caroline takes the time to make us feel welcome, like we have been living here all along! The pan pizza is awesome. This is my favorite place! I go here for all my special occasions and also just for a fun night out! Everything you get will be amazing.

We were a party of around 15 people. The food was excellent but I am writing this review to also appreciate the hospitality. Our server, Daniel, at the downtown gilbert location was extremely helpful and attentive. Being a big party, he helped us put together the seating arrangement and the tables so that we all could sit together and have a good time. He was very patient, towards the little things we asked for and kept us comfortable. It made our Friday night not only having good food but also a good server. Would definitely recommend this location to my friends and family. read more

Excellent meal we did have an hour wait but the food was worth it. We sat outside by the swamp cooler and that made it bearable to be outside in the Arizona heat. Garlic cheese bread with marinara was still good, the garlic o salt and cheese ratio on this cooked to perfection bread was on point. The salads we ordered, 1 could have feed all 5 adults. The ranch and Italian dressing were both very good. Chicago pepperoni pizza was really good very close to Chiicago pizza very close. Hubby got a chipotle pasta with shrimp said it was excellent chile lime wings were very good too. Mushroom bacon pizza hey said it was very good. Clearly they are under new management or more likely were sold. This is not the Oregano's that originally made them. We ordered take out and were told it would take 45 minutes. After picking up the pizza it was clear is was ready in 10 minutes. It was almost inedible upon pick-up and had zero to no flavor. Last time I will waste my hard earned money on their supposed "pizza." I'm only giving two stars because the pizza cookie hit the spot after a lousy dinner. Although the ice cream was horrible and had no taste just like their "pizza!" read more

Nearly 2 weeks after emailing them, nothing has been resolved... Ehh well, won't be ordering from them again...

So I'm pretty much obsessed with Oregano's, any location. Yes, the wait is ALWAYS long and the food takes a while to come out. So plan on a long social lunch/dinner. BUT you can get in line ahead of time with the "NoWait" app and if you keep this in mind ahead of time, it's worth it! Get the Big Rig Pasta with Chicken!! Spicy and sooo good!! I am literally addicted. :) The food is always hot and flavorful. Personally, I don't like the pizza crust and stick to the pastas, sandwiches, salads and desserts. There is plenty without pizza. It's a louder ambiance so maybe not as friendly to the elderly or those looking for quiet dining. But it's fun, enthusiastic and has an old time, 40's/50's vibe. Oh and don't forget to order a pizza cookie!! Seriously, you need it in your life!! read more
