Burrito bowl - with Soyrizo so good!
    Elizabeth P.

Walked in to this place to meet a friend for a drink and catch up on a Sunday night. We were the only sitting guests at that time but really enjoyed our time there and the attention from Carlos, who provided great service. It was pretty chill, low lights and low music... Carlos knew that I didn't eat meat and he suggested their Mexican soy chorizo and it was really good. I had the burrito bowl - white rice, black beans, pico de gallo, side salad and the soyrizo! My drink was also amazing- it was a mezcal cucumber flavored - sweet and smoky. I'll def come back here soon.

Special cocktails and delicious food This small neighborhood restaurant is very comfortable. The Tepachita cocktail is memorable. The Tacos and Fajitas are delicious. The service is attentive.

Happy hour drinks were good!! Had one too many if you ask me lol. It wasn't busy at all, we practically had the place to ourselves. Such a cute spot I wonder why it wasn't busier. Carlos was the only one there and he took good care of us. Thx!!! Food was good from what I could remember.... They did have a couple of vegan options for me. My coworkers really liked their tacos!! They wanna go back just for the food lol The place, decore, cleanliness & bathrooms were all up to par. Thanks again Cantina!!

Very nice little spot with great service. Solid Happy Hour drink specials. The food is good. I think the nachos were perfect. The tacos were good. My carne asada one was very chewy unfortunately. But, their vegetarian taco option is a squash flower. Very unique and very tasty.

Enchiladas de pollo, super yummy & not as spicy as your regular enchilada so it's good for everyone!

No frills taco spot in Greenpoint that is very popular! Expect a line. The tacos are super fresh…read moreand the star of the show is definitely the meat. My favorite was easily the pastor as it was so well balanced. The tacos are self dressed, so you can decide what toppings to put on it. Something to note: the tacos are definitely on the smaller side compared to other places like Los tacos no. 1, so get an extra to account for that.

Taqueria Ramirez is a popular, authentic Mexico City-style taqueria in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, known…read morefor its tacos like al pastor, suadero, and tripa, often finished with a blowtorch for a crispy texture. Owned by Giovanni Cervantes and Tania Apolinar, the spot stands out for its real flavors, busy small vibe, and unique options like nopales and a rich dipping sauce. The owners opened it in 2021 to fill a gap in NYC's taco scene. I was in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to pick up an order from the popular fish spot Piscator. I wanted to check out the food scene there and did some research, which led me to Taqueria Ramirez because it's so popular. When we got there, there was a line, but it moved pretty fast. The place has an open kitchen where you can see all the food being made. They offer toppings, but you add them yourself from a table of condiments. I got two Pastor Tacos, a Suadero, Longaniza, and the famous Tripa taco, which is pig intestines. The Pastor tacos had big chunks of meat that were super tasty and flavorful. The Suadero tasted similar to the Pastor, but it was still packed with flavor. I wasn't really a fan of the Longaniza; the flavors didn't do much for me. If you like bold tastes, you might like it. I also didn't love the Tripa -- the texture was off, and it was too soft. They blowtorch the Tripa to make it crispy, but I didn't really get the crunch I expected. Overall, this place makes some really good tacos, and I'd definitely go back to try their Gringa Al Pastor Tacos, which are only available on Tuesdays.
