I came here on a Friday night. Maybe because of the weather there wasn't a need to make reservations. Wherever you sit it is quite drafty so just remember to wear layers here even the bathroom was cold here too. Service wise it could've went better. They either came by when we needed them or they were no where to be seen it was 50/50. Food wise, tried out the steak carne asada and the tres leches and I enjoyed the steak a lot. It was very tender. The tres leches tasted great! It wasn't too sweet. It looked like an ice cream sundae.

This place is fabulous! We had the tuna tostadas (exceptional), shrimp tacos and fish tacos. Everything was so delicious. The tuna was for sure our favorite. The atmosphere is cozy yet unique and fun. Would absolutely recommend!

My friend and I were craving Mexican last night, and Mexi popped up on our search. Given its proximity to the L, we ended up deciding to try it out! We went at about 7pm on a Tuesday and it was pretty quiet with a few tables occupied outside. Inside was quite large, but not super busy. We ended up ordering the guac, a quesadilla and birria tacos. The guac had a little bit of a kick with chili crisp on top. Service was friendly and we didn't feel rushed - always important for a girls night! Didn't get to try the drinks last night, but they looked pretty good too.

Tried this newer (opened for about a year now) Mexican restaurant in Williamsburg last Saturday evening for dinner. We were able to get bar seats without a reservation (they had a few large groups that evening). The place is such a vibe. Really cool décor and a really impressive bar, particularly the mezcal selection. I had the espressito cocktail (basically espresso martini with mezcal)- I'm not usually a fan of mezcal/smoky cocktails but this was very well balanced and delicious. We shared the guac to start which was pretty good. For dinner, I had the pork shoulder al pastor skewers. The meat itself was tender, but surprisingly bland. It also seemed like they tried too hard to make the entrée visually appealing and missed the mark portion-wise. There was a generous portion of meat, but too few accompaniments such as the tortillas, salsa, etc. Also, I think the pineapple was more just for show which was a bummer lol. Service was friendly and warm but they seemed pretty busy so it ended up being very, very slow. Wasn't an issue for us though because we were having a great time chatting and catching up. We were advised by the bartender that the menu is changing next week so I would give the food another shot, and would certainly come back for the drinks and atmosphere.

Service was friendly although slow in the beginning, atmosphere is cozy but restaurant was not packed on a Saturday night. The food is what is really holding this restaurant back, it was just not that tasty. The guacamole has tomatoes on top which I haven't seen before but the actual guacamole itself was not tasty, there was no chunkiness to the avocados which made me wonder where the guacamole came from. The Birria Tacos are $26 and no where near as good as Birria Landia, the consome paired with it was barely flavorful. The drinks here are very good! But the food needs a lot of improvement, especially for the price. For a total of 3 people, we got 2 apps and 3 mains, 1 drink each and 1 dessert total and it was $85 a person, while normal for NYC, what wasn't normal was the quality of the food, which makes me feel like the $85 per person (after tip) was not worth it.

Came here for a birthday and it was very lovely. The portions, particularly the guac, were a bit smaller than expected. But it was delicious, perfectly spiced. The plating is so impressive. Every dish was yummy and unique. Definitely recommend the ceviche and the octopus for an app. The birria of the birria tacos was a bit too oily for my liking but the meat was terrific. Sadly, I wasn't able to try the drinks but they looked very cute. The wait staff did a great job! Thank you!

My girls and I stopped in for food after attending Margarita Rumble. We sat at the bar. The restaurant was not crowded. It definitely has a cozy vibe. Which I like. I got their version of the espresso martini and it was goooood! We shared the plates of food. We got short rib birria tacos, chicken nachos quesadilla and guacamole. The guacamole and quesadilla were a HIT. Service was good. Our bartender was Andres and he was lovely. Definitely a great spot to check out if your in the neighborhood.

You can get better food off of a truck for way cheaper We ordered the shrimp and carne asada tacos. Super bland and small portioned for the price. The taquitos and nachos were OK, but again bland, boring and overpriced. Drinks were good and pretty but that's about the only positive

This will be a hot spot once the word gets out. It's in a prime spot in Williamsburg but not extremely noticeable from the outside. Prices are very reasonable. Service is on point and the selection of tequilas and mezcals is unrivaled. Cute decor and ambiance - great for group dining or date night. They also have a large bar with bar seats. The albóndigas and birria tacos were excellent. Carne asada and guacamole mousse was OK. The cocktails were great and the bartender was awesome. We did a guided mezcal tasing and had a blast. Will definitely be back and encourage others to go before you can't get in.

The music is at a low enough volume that you can hear your conversations, it doesn't get too crowded so you can spread out, even if you're in a large group. Downstairs, it's a lot tighter, with a DJ, dance floor, lounge seating area, and a much more packed and busy atmosphere on the weekends. I like ping ponging between both vibes when I'm with friends. Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

When we saw "Water Tower" on the elevator we decided to press it. SO GLAD WE DID. We landed at the Water Tower and walked into a fairly empty space decorated with art all the way to the ceiling, filled with natural light coming in and the views of the skyline were out of this world. We had to try their drinks of course to enjoy with the incredible view. Though the drinks are $21 and served in a plastic cup that evening, I was NOT expecting my drink to be this insanely delicious. I ordered the inferno Paloma which they infuse themselves with- and it was true perfection. By the way, each bar has their own menu which is pretty awesome and makes it even more fun. Also, Axel is the most incredible bartender and we absolutely loved his creations. Later that night we ordered a custom mandarin margarita, with a spicy twist, and WOW. He's truly talented and absolutely made us some awesome drinks that we can't stop talking about. Sunset with a view and a spicy mezcal drink? Yes and YES. We had this place all to ourselves and can't wait to be back. Friday nights they have DJ nights and you can also book the Water Tower for your own private events which is pretty cool!

For apps, we got the curry crab gyoza which was a very small portion (6/10) and the roasted mushroom truffle flatbread which was the highlight of the meal (8.5/10). For mains, we tried the biang biang Rasta noodles with salmon (6/10) and the sofrino roasted chicken (5/10). Both were a bit underwhelming. I've heard their drinks are great but we didn't try any. Food-wise, I was a little disappointed, but still had a great time catching up with friends.

It is too bad Yelp doesn't allow half stars as I would honestly put this one at a 3.5 and am rounding up. While the quality of the elevated seafood bites is immaculate, they are just that: a bite or two of food, for an elevated price considering the amount of food you get. After spending $76 a person, we were still hungry, whereas that amount would have been enough to feed two average women at another good restaurant. But if you go with an expense account or trust fund baby, definitely get the scallops and the yellowtail pastrami because those two items will blow your mind. Our waitress pointed these two out to us and we're grateful for her guidance because it was spot on. Paying for bread at a Solomonov joint is odd. No dessert menu is odder. Wheelchair access details: The bar is on a terrace. The accessible entrance is through the Hoxton hotel. A staff member will take you through the k'far kitchen and up via a service elevator.
