Great Food! Great Service! I always forget that One Korean is in the neighborhood, but we need to go more often. We just had a really nice dinner. My husband said he wanted Bossam, but hilariously, he changed his mind after seeing the menu and didn't even order it. He ended up getting the Spicy Jokbal, which I was feeling a little skeptical about (pig feet!), but after one bite, I was hooked. Really flavorful and quite spicy. There is a bit of fat/skin, but we just ate around it, although I knowsome people would be put off by that sort of thing. When asked if it was any good, our server's eyes lit up and she said yes, it is one of her favorites. She did also confirm that we liked spicy food, which was good, because it definitely had some heat. Other items we ordered: Jjinmandu - Can't go wrong with dumplings! Kimchi Jiggae - My favorite Korean soup and they put a nice amount of pork in it. It was bubbling for at least a full minute before it calmed down. Impressive. Beef Bulgogi - A classic and well made here. Sweet and savory. And of course they had a nice selection of Banchan, to round out the meal. Our server even noticed which ones we liked the best and brought out an extra tray for us. We brought home a lot of leftovers because we always over-order, but I'm not mad about it. Each time we try a couple new things and never have we been disappointed! They fill the banchan, the food is served hot and ready, and overall just really good. The prices aren't crazy for the portion size and definitely worth your while! Gratuity is added for large groups but they definitely deliver good service. It is the only ONE Korean restaurant on the south end of Beaverton. Classic 90s feel with Kpop TV in the background. Banchan is standard, kimchi on the fermented side. Extensive menu. Service was cordial and straightforward but we were pleasantly surprised with a special complimentary tasting dish. Environment: it's a pretty big restaurant with two doors/entries and lots of seats! Staff: the owner was very nice and kind! Food: 1. We ordered beef bone broth soup which was very good. It had a nice flavor and it didn't make me thirsty. 2. We got a cold noodle with bean soup. It's very interesting because the soup is made out of thick bean paste. So, it is thicker and subtle in flavor. For both the soup and this noodle dish, you add the amount of salt on your own. The noodles were bouncy and good but I got filling very quickly 3. Kalbi was expensive but it was very tender and we each ate 4-5 pieces of it. I wish I had more but it is a costly price- just like other places. Got to try this spot with some friends recently and I got to say that the service here is amazing. At the end of the meal the wife of the restruant gave my friend a one dollar ring for paying the tab! The service here left a very good impression on our group! I will say we did enjoy the food. Everything we got was delicious, even the banchan. The jamppong had a rich broth and so much seafood. The noodles were chewy and cooked just right. The seafood pancake also had so much seafood and was crispy on the edges and chewy in the middle. The seolongtung comes with salt and pepper so you can season to your liking. The broth was very milky. The grilled mackerel was seasoned just right and also very crispy, the fish wasn't dry or fishy. The owner also came by several times to check in on us and also gave my partner an apron so his shirt wouldn't be stained from the broth Would definitely recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner! read more

Second time here and it was awesome! The service is great and welcoming. Very genuine you can say. I like how they have a button on the side where you can push if you need service. Food was great! The beef bulgogi was delicious 10/10. You can taste the quality. Corn cheese, amazing! I recommend 12/10 lol. Then the bibimbap was 10/10, it was a nice full bowl which will get you filled up. Also, they give you little side dishes where you can snack and it's unlimited refill. The kimchi was my favorite. Lots of seats inside and I feel it's pretty spacious in there. They have kpop music playing and also lots of decorations. This is my go to spot whenever I'm craving Korean food. Delicious and amazing. The dumpling tasted like the ling-ling brand store bought ones from Costco. The bulgogi was okay, the Samgaetang was on menu said stuffed with ginseng, but it was stuffed with rice and chestnuts. I've never been to a Korean restaurant that doesn't give side dishes for free. Apparently ordering an "appetizer" renders lack of side dishes and rice as well. I had to pay extra for side dishes ($4.50) and rice ($2.50) - for an "appetizer" that costs $10.95. The total for my meal was $18.44. I ordered the steamed egg but it turned out to be more expensive than just ordering a main dish. I came here alone wanting a small/medium sized meal so it doesn't make sense for me to order a main dish imho. The steamed egg was not my style and too salty for me. I used to order from One Korean often for delivery when I used to live in the area. Sorry to say, but I don't see a reason to come back here after today's depressing experience. The last time I dined in, I ordered the raw marinated crab and enjoyed my meal with family. I was excited to eat here but unfortunately, I'm very disappointed by today's visit. This might be worst restaurants I've been to... I was excited to try this restaurant since I heard they have soy marinated crab. It was quite expensive. I think it was $30 or close to $30 for 6 crabs. I don't consider myself a picky eater and hate wasting food but I could not even finish one crab. It was so SALTY and the crab was definitely not fresh. The meat was fishy and super mushy, almost liquidy. I've had spicy marinated crab before so I know the texture should not be like that. We also got the chicken with cheese and this was slightly better but still not good. It had no flavor yet was very salty. The banchan was inedible. It tasted old and funky. Great find in Beaverton. Love the large booths that offer privacy. We ordered kalbi ribs and braised kimchi and pork belly soup. The flavors were fantastic and prices are reasonable. Feel the portion of Ilani ribs was generous, meat was tender and flavor was sweet perfection. Portion of soup is best shared but they happily provided us a to-go container to bring home and it reheated well. Server was nice but a bit MIA throughout the meal. This is my go to Korean restaurant! Food: The menu offers a large variety of classic Korean dishes from raw crab, to comforting soups, to delicious meats! I've tried spicy raw marinated crab from here, H-mart, and Coredam and I have to say, this place does it best. My only feedback is I wish they didn't get rid of the gizzards! Very excited because been waiting for a portland restaurant to serve ganjang gejang. And one of my favorite Korean restaurants to boot. The spicy version has been circulating lately but finally the soy marinated version is available. Called for takeout and was ready for pickup in about 20 mins. The hostess was very friendly when I entered and greeted. Love the aesthetics and vibe of the restaurant with the Korean music playing. The garlic soy chicken was delicious like always and bibimbap as well. The marinated crab was pretty good. I haven't had it a whole lot of times in my life but it did have a slight crabby smell to it but it wasn't anything off putting. The crab meat was delicious and there was probably 5-6 clusters with a good helping of meat. Really good and I would recommend to anyone thinking of it to give it a try. read more

Honestly, I came to Portland and really needed some Korean food. 10/10 recommend. Not only is the food great, but the owners are so kind, friendly, and helpful. Upon entering the restaurant the server quickly seated us to a table. It was our first time trying this establishment and noticed there are two ways to enter/exit from the restaurant. Once seated, you are surrounded by listening to K-pop songs on the flat screen TV hunged on the wall. We browsed through the menu and decided on black bean noodles aka Jjajangmyeon and beef short ribs. It did take a moment for our food to arrive (15-20 mins) but time passes quickly with the distraction of K-pop playing. Jjajangmyeon - you don't often see black bean noodles on the menu at Korean restaurants. When we saw they were offering it, we knew we had to order one and it delicious. Packed of flavors of black bean sauce with a good amount of pork bits. The noodles had great chewy texture. We definitely made slurping noises. One of the banchan side dishes we had was pickled daikon and it complemented well with the noodles. La Galbi - The short ribs was good. We thought it lacked flavor a little bit. Perhaps it wasn't marinated long enough. We thought they gave a good amount of short ribs, considering it was $27. The downside were the banchans. They provided six varieties and only liked one. Overall the food was delicious. Plenty of parking as it's located inside of a plaza. Would definitely come back again and recommend to others. read more

I am so sorry to knock a local place but the reviews are lies. Either the yelpers have low standards or just don't know what good korean food tastes like. Bibimbap: $20 for a very small portion with almost no meat and little flavor. Soy Garlic Fried Chicken: not crispy, bad quality chicken, with a strangely gelatinous sweet sauce?? Sort of like a bad orange chicken in the Midwest. Pork Katsu: the meat was tough and grisly, the sauce was watery and not katsu sauce. It was also on an unnecessarily large plate. Once I saw the restaurant's Instagram post about their new special, soy sauce raw marinated crab, I knew I had to come try it! Right when I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile from the staff and was seated immediately. The soy sauce of the raw marinated crab had a nice spice from the chilies that wasn't overwhelming and there was also a herbal taste that I can't put my finger on it. Could it be the kelp? The crab shell was soft, easy to bite, and suck on. The meat came out in one squeeze and it was so good with rice. It's much lighter to eat than the spicy raw marinated crab. They also cut off the spikes on the crab, which made it easier for me to gnaw on the legs. The other dishes that my friends and I got were the beef bulgogi, fried rice with shrimp, and the boneless sweet & spicy fried chicken. Their fried chicken is flavorful and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I would literally be satisfied with just the boneless fried chicken and rice. Ask them what their specialty is! Although I usually don't order steamed spicy fish dishes, one of the dishes they make excellently is their maeuntang. Chapchae had good flavor, slightly on the sweeter side. Nice balance of noodles and veggies. Chicken had good flavor, but I expected it to be crispy, it was breaded and a little soggy in texture, but still good with rice. The star dishes were the soups, the rice cake dumpling soup is yummy.
