Om Threading Salon is clearly my most favorite to go place for eyebrows. I have almost always visited this place for eyebrows, and Saraswati knows exactly how it works for arched eyebrows! I started off with 7 sessions in 6 months, but just realized they've cut it down to 6 sessions in 6 months. It's a little pricey compared to before, but I'd still choose to go with them. (Although a little more concession would harm nobody!) I'm also a fan of the little massage I get over the forehead and eyebrows at the end of every session, it helps my sensitive skin not come up with crazy boils! All in all, go for it! read more

Okay first of all : super bad experience with the lady at the salon. The usual threading costs $15. I bought the groupon coupon for 12$ for 2 sessions. Based on the past experiences with using Groupon on salons, I ensured that I read the "instructions" to use the Groupon voucher before visiting them. After getting done with my threading, the lady tells me "we can't use groupon voucher because my manager told me that these groupon people make other customers wait and so they need to make an appointment first before coming to us" I was a little surprised. Then she continued " this rule changed this month" Now I have 2 issues with her 'justification' of not accepting my voucher. 1. There was NOTHING mentioned on the Groupon website that we need to make an appointment first. Otherwise get ready to give away 15$ just like that. 2. She said due to Groupon users, our customers have to wait. Might I say this that this lady made me wait for 20 whole fucking minutes before I got my eyebrow done. So clearly, it does not matter to her that I also waited but it matters to her that others have had to wait because of me ?? I mean where am I ? Now I'm an Indian and I'm very very used to going to Indian salons and I was kind of expecting a certain reaction from them. The lady never offered me , for the sake of customer sentiment, well not even that, for the sake of admitting the mistake they made by not updating their "instruction" on how to use a fucking groupon at their salon. She said "well you can use the voucher next time Mam and this time you can pay the normal amount" I mean. First I'm never spending another cent let alone a dollar at your place and second, if I had to spend 15$ I'd have gone to Shanti salon which is much closer to my home ! Hell I took a bus to get to her place. Sigh . She didn't show any interest in doing something to make up for the goof up on their end. Got my eyebrows threaded by Sara and she was great! I didn't feel rushed at all like the ones that i normally go to, and she was very friendly! Definitely recommend. Oh and she gives a nice massage when she applies aloe gel on your brows after you're done. read more

This may be my new go-to threading salon in Capitol Hill. Very clean, and the woman was kind. At the end of each eyebrow threading session, gives a very quick forehead/brow massage while rubbing in oil. The threading itself was well-done and efficient. The price for brow threading is $15 for single visit and $45 for three-month unlimited membership. This threading salon would be best for customers that go more frequently than every four weeks so that the membership would be worth it. read more

I was desperately looking for a new threading salon around my workplace when I stumbled across their Groupon, the value was great and again, very close to my work place that I was excited to try it out. I even told my coworkers about it before I went because I was really hoping that I will have great results, and that I will want to recommend them to my coworkers. Oh boy... how wrong I was. When I walked in, there were 2 ladies sitting on the couch, the place was completely empty. And I informed them that I had a Groupon and apologized for not making an appointment since that was not listed as a fine print. The first thing they said to me was, "Sorry. You can't use that Groupon. Those are for first time customers only." And I told them that this was indeed my first time there. And both ladies raised their eyebrow and asked me if I was sure, because supposedly one of them saw me there before. And again, I told them that I am absolutely 100% honest when I say that I've never been there before. And they said "Fine. Please have a seat." They proceed to ask me which deal I bought and got ready to thread my eyebrows and lips. At this point, I was a bit defeated but nonetheless, still hopeful for great results. But the girl who threaded my eyebrows, were so rough, that it felt like she was trying to rip my skin off. I've had threading done for years, so I know how it SHOULD feel, this was nothing close to it. My skin around my eyebrows and lip was red and puffy for an entire week before calming down. And as I was leaving, they told me again to never buy any deal again, not on Yelp nor on Livingsocial. It took every ounce of me to not yell back at them. Horrible!! Their Groupon description said that the stylist will look straight into my eyes to pinpoint the outer edge of my iris. She did nothing of that sort. Even though, this IS my first time here, their Groupon saids NOTHING about first time customers only. They really need to because they really can't treat every customers that walks in with a Groupon like this. read more

I was specific about the minimal "clean up" I wanted; no shaping, just above the brow and on the top and sides. My eyebrows now are so uneven and much thinner then they were. I am so disappointed as I had grown them out. This was my second visit to the salon ever, the first time I'd purchased a 3 month membership for $50. I asked for a refund after this bad experience as I (1) didn't feel comfortable with them doing it again (2) wouldn't have enough eyebrows to get them done again in 3 months anyway. They wouldn't refund, kept using excuses like "we don't have records of it", "we'd need to talk to our manager" etc. Then when I phoned, the woman on the phone hung up on me. When I called back and asked if it was perhaps a mistake that she hung up she got mad and repeated her excuses and did it again. I've gotten my brows threaded for over a decade more by various people and I can say she's definitely one of the better ones I've been to. She's quick, the place isn't very crowded.. She got the shape perfectly- and I didn't have to fuss around with a mirror and explain a lot.. She just got it right the first time.. A lot of people pull too hard- that wasn't the case with her, it didn't hurt much.. A lot of others leave you with bruises you don't even know are there until the next day when they show up visibly - again not the case with her.. There's not a single scratch on my brow, which is highly unusual for me. The price is great! Especially if you take.the membership.. It's right on Broadway and not in some tucked away alley.. The place is minimal and could use some sprucing up.. But it's so hard to just find someone that does threading well that I think I don't care so much about the Decor.. I am half Arabic so I have very dark bushy unruly eyebrows that I don't know what to do with most of the time but they always shape them beautifully and I get so much out of the membership! I live in Brooklyn, NY, and was in Seattle for a wedding in mid-June 2016. I needed to get some grooming done, didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on all of it, and I was without a car and needed to rely on public transportation or walking between the Central District where I was staying and Pioneer Square, where I was visiting the bridal suite to give my friend hugs before she got married. None of my friends were able to give me good suggestions (either they do their own grooming, or they go fancy, or they go local to where they live. I found this place, it has good reviews, so I dropped in. I chose threading because I waited until the day of and didn't want to risk big red clowny patches from waxing. I've been threaded before, I don't remember it being quite so painful. My threader also caught my skin in the threads, because I found a perfectly straight hairline scratch-scrape across my lid a few hours later when I was doing my eyeshadow. No wonder why it was so painful. I get this service done in my neighborhood in NY for about $12-18 (brows and lip). I paid $22 or $25 or something at Om. Whatever. If I lived there, I wouldn't return. I mostly wrote this review to complain about the eyelid scrape. That's unacceptable. read more
