Tl;dr; their waxing techniques can cause some serious burn injuries. 100% won't recommend - I wonder how they even got the license to work here. I had the worst experience ever at this salon today. I am a regular client here for eyebrows threading and full body waxing. I have usually gotten acceptable service. Today was an experience I will probably never forget in my life, as not only they gave me a pretty serious burn but also had no courtesy to let me know when it happened, let alone provide any care or compensation. I'm sure the two ladies that work here on Sundays have no prior training or license for this job, and the most absurd attitude I've seen at any salon. I went in with a prior booked appointment for full legs and full arms waxing and yet they seemed quite unprepared and even unwilling to provide the service. Regardless, as it's thier job, they started with waxing my leg. I don't speak their language but I could easily tell they were making excuses at each other. It was a hot day so I had warned them twice not to use extremely hot wax and not let it stay on the skin for lkng. This girl was the most slow and sloppy with handling wax than anyone I've ever seen and it seemed as if she was handling it for the first time. I was laying down for almost 30 mins and she hadn't even finished waxing one leg. She ended up burning my knee and didn't even have the courtesy to let me know or treat it asap. It started getting painful within minutes and that's when I snapped. I had to just leave as I couldn't trust them with my skin for a single sec anymore. She apologised and asked to finish the rest with care, but with a burn like that in several places who would dare! Despite being asked to be careful in the beginning, she just didn't bother to even let me know when it happened. I got up with only the front of my right leg and a small portion of my left leg waxed. As I needed to get the burn treated asap I asked if I could make the payment later when I returned to get the services. They had the nerve to ask me for the payment of today's service! Anyways, I left and only came home to see the most serious burn I'd ever gotten. Not only did it ruin my plans for the wekend, or my upcoming birthday in 2 days, it gave me such trauma for the day and the future. I would never ever recommend this salon to anyone who cares about their skin even a little bit. Might as well do it yourself or pay a few bucks extra to ensure you're in good hands. DO NOT GET THE GROUPON unless you're a first time member! I got a membership card the first time I came here because one of the ladies did a decent job on my eyebrows (nothing mind blowing, but I wanted mine cleaned up and she did an ok job and the price was cheap). After coming here many times - probably around 12 times to be exact - my membership card runs out, and I was going to renew. However, I noticed Groupon was running a deal on an eyebrow upper lip, so I grabbed that instead. Read the terms and conditions - nothing tricky, just told me I could only buy it once a month. Guess this is where I went wrong. I came in with the Groupon and was immediately condescendingly told that it was for first time customers only and I had definitely been there before, and she said this to me "many times in the past." Not ONCE had this ever been mentioned to me, and I had never been treated so rudely as a 10+ time returning customer. When I told her Groupon didn't say that in the conditions, she said, "Groupon does whatever they want. We have no control over that." Absurd! I've never had such ridiculous treatment in my life from a place I've spent good money at. I will gladly spend the $70+ I was planning on using towards another membership at another salon (there's one right across the street! It's not like she did a spectacular job or anything either!). THIS PLACE ALWAYS TRIES TO SCAM YOU either through forcing you to purchase their dumb membership card or not honoring deals they publish online. I bought a groupon deal for $11 for upper lip and eyebrow. Because she knew I've come before, she wouldn't accept the groupon because "it's meant only for first time customers". No where in the groupon does it say this. She argued that people would just keep buying the Groupon deals..which isn't true since you can only purchase it once every 30 days. Stay away from this place because it's overly expensive anyways. Update: if the Groupon deals don't deter you from this place, just know that the lady who manages the place has no problems talking about her customers to her other clients. The woman working there was telling my friend about two girls that came in before and left because the deal they purchased was apparently not valid (sounds like my last visit). Came here on a whim to get my eyebrows threaded. Chose this place on yelp due to decent reviews and deal offerings. I purchased a yelp deal '8 for 15' for my eyebrow threading session. I had also called in to see if I needed an appointment. The lady on the phone just mentioned, 'walk in'. My first impression of the place was that it is far away from the middle of capitol hill. I traveled by foot, and passed another threading salon on the way. But I had already purchased the yelp deal, so I decided to continue with this place. When I walked into the salon, there was nobody there. Just the one lady at the desk. Service was fine and quick, eyebrows turned it fine. The lady did break the thread mid session, but nbd. When I went to pay, the lady strongly demanded I not buy the yelp deal next time, as if I did the wrong thing. I understand the yelp deal is first timers only, but her attitude was demanding (maybe it was a cultural thing?) I didn't appreciate that remark, because she was telling me what to do. But anyway, she was demanding me not to buy the yelp deal so that I can buy their membership instead..which according to her "is the same deal." Why be so pissed off for me to purchase a deal that your business is actively offering? The membership may turn out to cost the same per session as the yelp deal, but you have to commit to coming back regularly to get use out of it. Not something you demand out of new customers, when you aren't sure if they are satisfied with their experience. As with other threading places, you need to hold your eye skin down during the session so they can get in the appropriate crevices. I felt the need to wash my hands afterward, so I asked the lady if I can use their restroom. She told me it didn't work, but I indicated I only needed to wash my hands. So she let me in the back... worse experience ever! Me using their restroom shouldn't reflect on this place and the lady did try to stop me but.. stay away from the back!!! This is such a lovely place. It has such a calming and inviting vibe. I love coming here. The owner, is so sweet and really she does such a fantastic job on my eyebrows. Some threaders hurt you so bad, but she is super gentle without sacrificing quality. Also, she gives you a little mini relaxation eye Massage (not sure what exactly to call it) but it is sooooooo relaxing. I feel great when I leave OM and my eyebrows always look fantastic. She's nice and does a good job. The place definitely needs to be decorated a bit more or the heat needs to be turned on at least. I mean, the gal that was threading me still had her puffy coat on. Oh, and it's false advertisement. There's a flier that she gives out that says $5 off for first time customers. I was a new customer and only came in bc I was in the neighborhood and just got done with my hair appointment. I brought up the new customer special she was advertising and then she tried to sell me on a membership. When I told her I wasn't interested she discounted my service by $3. Lame. I needed to get my brows done and was looking for a new place and I noticed this place was pretty close to where I work, had a good rating and also had a $7 for $15 deal going on. I purchased the deal right before taking the bus to go get my brows done. I had the deal pulled up and ready to go. After the lady finished my brows I told her about the deal I had purchased. That is when she started getting very defensive and paranoid, for some reason kept questioning if I was a new customer or not. I showed her the deal I purchased and she insisted she see my name. I even offered to show her my ID.. After all that hassle, my phone was dying and my Wi-Fi wasn't working so she claimed since she was unable to redeem the voucher that I could not use it. I was extremely annoyed since I had just had the deal pulled up and she saw my name and everything. In the end, I paid full price and the deal was not honored. Not only did I end up paying $7 extra on top of full price, but I can no longer use this deal since I am technically not a new customer anymore.....If I have any advice to this business, take this deal off of Yelp if you're not going to honor it. I can tell you that maybe in the short term you'll scam a $8 extra bucks from unknowing customers, but in the long run the deal that you have advertised that is supposed to create new and RETURNING customers, is going to loose you a lot of money in the long run. If you're going to be that cheap-DON'T offer the deal!!! I will not be returning here. For the horrible customer service and decent job, there are so many better places to go. For better service and places that ACTUALLY HONOR THE DEALS THEY ADVERTISE, I would recommend Shanti Threading Salon and Studio 4 Brow. read more

No appointment required, just walk in as each client takes only about 10 minutes if they're only doing eyebrows.
