We recently had our hot water die randomly and OH&C was great. Their office staff were responsive and knowledgeable of which tech would be needed for our special system and were able to get them out to diagnose it quickly. The tech quickly saw what the issue was and was able to create a temporary workaround so we could turn on/off domestic hot water as needed. Ultimately, we did not end up using OH&C to replace the radiant heating tank cause the tank company worked with us, BUT I definitely plan on scheduling time for them to service our other systems coming up. My furnace fan blade started squeaking in December 2019. They came out my unit is 20+ years old- don't replace it, Tech said it's all good - I'll replace the fan blade. Thank you for saving me money. Olympic serviced our HVAC system for all the years we've owned our home and I believe before since they installed the original system. Last year we were finally in the position to replace our aged system and I fully expected to use Olympic for our new system even though I got more than one quote. Unfortunately they were unable to install in a timely manner because of the demand. Being a smaller HVAC installer I can understand this completely and I don't penalize them for it in my rating. I'm more disappointed that I couldn't use them for our new system than I am they couldn't do it in the time frame we needed. What I am disappointed in is the guy that came out for the estimate which was not the owner we've dealt with previously who I find excellent. This other guy did not know about rebates that their competition did and this along with the extra wait time made my decision for me. Disappointed it didn't work out. read more

Revised Review: I initially gave this place poor review for communications issues that worked against my favor on two occasions. However they reached out to me to attempt to remedy the cause of at least part of my disatisfaction so I have revised my review upwards to five stars. The communications problem is really the only issue I had with this place as the service was above average and they were fairly prompt and did fairly good work. My furnace that was being replaced had no labels to correctly identify the correct sizing for my home with regards to a replacement furnace...so I wish the estimator had done a better job when visiting the site but since the serial number was not available I cannot blame them entirely for this but it did result in less than ideal results. read more

Unfortunately, when we purchased a rental property in Hoodsport, the sellers did not fulfill several of their contractual obligations. One of those was they did not have the furnace inspected. They also left the propane tank near empty. This resulted in our furnace and hot water heater pilot lights going out while we were not there and we are very lucky nothing more serious occurred. Olympic Heating & Cooling helped us out. Cyril inspected the furnace, re-lit the pilot lights on the furnace and water heater, and even stayed to help us install our Nest thermostat so he could make sure the heat was working before he left. I'm a new customer and was very happy with the service. Its hard to find good people in the Shelton area and I think I found them. Calling around the pricing was in line with other companies if not a little lower. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly, even got a reminder call the night before. Greg the service guy was polite, professional, and would explain things so you could understand them. I used to refer people to them as I worked for ferrellgas and even I needed to use them for myself but they only bandaid my heat pump to work for 10 days, so didn't fix it, overcharged me $500+ and didn't care we had no heat even though I had sent them tons of business. They never got anymore of our customers and I would only recommend for you to run from Olympic heating & cooling - really AWEFUL!!!...Black Hills heating company really takes care of their customers. I needed my furnace repaired, a natural gas line for a kitchen range installed and 3 bath exhaust fans vented to the outside on a recently purchased house needing some renovation work. Don came out from Olympic Heating and Cooling, did a thorough check of everything I needed done and sent me a detailed and reasonably priced estimate in the mail. Don came back out on the appointment day with techs Charles and Marty who worked throughout the entire day to complete all of the tasks - no surprises, no hassles. Marty confirmed with me the location of the vents he was installing and at the end of the day Charles took me through the specifics of the work he did. I worked nearly 40 years for a major telephone company and would have been happy to have such quality techs as Charles and Marty in my crew. We had requested an appointment to give an estimate to replace our heat pump and furnace. We were able to schedule a 10:00am appointment for the same day. They did not show up or call until 10:45. Had they called to let us know they were running late, we would have understood and rescheduled. But, since they did not call, we told them we would find someone else. You only get one chance to make a first impression. Unfortunately, Olympic Heating and Cooling made a terrible first impression. read more

My old Heat Pump was about dead and Olympic had the best prices on Ductless Heat Pumps. They showed up on time and the whole job (removing old HP and installing two Ductless HPs in less than a day. Even with the heat wave we have been in and keeping the house at 68 deg., My electric bill has never been so low. Highly recommend these guys. read more

Greg was the technician who inspected and serviced the wall furnace in my rental house in Shelton. He is not only highly experienced and expert in a technical sense, but also bright and quick on the uptake when it comes to sizing up a situation. He quickly realized that although the equipment was in perfect working order, the real problem was that the renter was afraid of it. He put considerable effort, ultimately successful, in convincing the renter that the furnace was working just as it should, and that it was perfectly safe. I feel that in this case, Greg combined sensitivity and tact with technical expertise to deal with the situation as well as anyone could have. read more

It's been unusually cold and the heater was blowing cold air. I called and they had a technician to the house within an hour. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem, had all the parts for the heaters and and the problem fixed within an hour. Outstanding response and courteous. I've had to have a similar problem repaired a few years ago. The cost was about the same. I would recommend Olympic Heating and Cooling to anyone needing that type of service. read more
