Talk about excellence in customer service...they have it dialed in. My moms furnace went out and needed to be replaced. Brian, Randy, and Caden came out and quickly made all the repairs necessary to get my moms house warm again. Their knowledge on here systems is amazing. Their people skills and the attitude of doing the right thing is so refreshing. Definitely will call them if I have any issues with my heating and cooling. Will definitely tell my friends. read more

Kaden arrived a little early for our furnace and heat pump maintenance and component performance checks and he did a thorough job, as demonstrated by Crystal's 36-item checklist, completed with thorough notes, and at reasonable cost. Next August I'll call Crystal again to schedule another maintenance and performance check, no prepaid annual maintenance agreement required. This is the right way to do business. read more

When our ten-year old A/C decided to stop working I asked neighbors for recs and poked around on the web. Hmmm, this one's rated five stars with thirty positive reviews. Worth a shot, so I called and left a message (after hours). Got a return call this morning and their guy showed up today, right on time. I pointed the very nice fella to the outdoor unit and checked on him a few minutes later. I was expecting the worst. He had removed the giant capacitor and was about to hook up a new one to see if it would do the trick. Sure enough, it did! And the unit was about 25% as loud as before! The tech explained everything, answered all my questions, checked for refrigerant leaks, and declared the unit healthy. He then did a check-up on the heating unit, replaced the filter I had kinda let go, and fully explained the whole house ventilation system. All of this in one hour, folks! I couldn't have been happier. This guy was polite, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and even had a sense of humor! In short, these are the folks I will call for any A/C issues we have, ever, including the eventual installation of a new system. I highly recommend them, without question. read more

Called Crystal Air on Friday afternoon because the indoor unit for my heat pump shorted out and filled the home with smoke. Randy answered the phone and got me on the schedule the next day (Sat). They arrived on time and repaired the problem the same day. Thanks for the great service. I recommend them for all your HVAC needs. read more

Few service providers are as experienced as Crystal Air and none would go the extra mile as I had with Crystal's Brian. He stopped to help me "fix" a non-working SMART thermostat (I had just installed!) between his other scheduled appointments (and during his lunchtime). That's real old time first-rate service! So I am a customer for life now. read more

My heat pump didn't blow hot air recently and I called a local HVAC company (one of the big names) to do a diagnosis and hopefully a repair. The technician basically quoted prices from their menu to find and maybe replace parts that seemed outrageously high (around $4,000), then tried to sell me a new system. I called Randy, he came out the next day and quickly diagnosed the problem, got it fixed, the heat pump and furnace worked again. Total cost for the repair was $231 (tax included) He was cheerful, friendly and professional and he educated me a few things of how everything works If you need service for your HVAC/Heat Pump, call Randy/Brian and don't bother with the "big guys" as they will rip you off. Thank you very much for your professionalism and integrity Randy, Would recommend this company to all my friends. read more

Best customer service experience in all of 2022 -- for anything! Brian was amazing. Professional, personable, quick to respond, timely and focused first on the easiest possible fixes to our furnace on the coldest day of the year. The most fair and reasonable pricing of anyone around. Recommend Crystal Air 100%. read more

Faceplate went blank on my programmable thermostat. I spoke to Randy asking for an appointment but when I explained my issue he was able to diagnose two problems with my system over the phone and walk me through the repairs (both were pretty minor but not for the uninitiated). Randy did this without asking for payment, and without acting put out or bothered. This was just good service and now I'm a loyal customer. Be aware, they are a 2-man operation and it's currently summer so they're pretty busy. That said, these guys are worth waiting for if you need service. Leave a voicemail and they'll get back to you within a few hours. read more

We had Crystal Air Systems clean and inspect our gas fireplaces, replace the heat exchangers and inducer motor in our gas furnace, and install a heat pump in 2022. Everything was done professionally at a good price. In 2023 a problem with the control board in the furnace required maintenance which was done the same day, again without undue cost. Call Crystal Air first at 360-357-3335 for all your HVAC needs! read more

Crystal Air just installed my heat pump, they found black mold in the furnace area, cleaned it all out & replaced the walls within the area & still only charged me the bid we agreed on! Saved me electrician fees, their rates are great, if you need a heat pump or service call this company! Thanks Randy & Kadan! read more

I was interested in adding a heat pump to a gas furnace in my newly purchased home in Olympia. Randy provided a thorough, reasonable estimate with costs for various options. He got me right into his schedule and got the work done quickly. He was very thorough in his explanation about how the system worked. A great price and very impressive service! Thanks! read more

I called Crystal Air for a second opinion & I'm sooooo glad I did! We are first time homeowners, and a different furnace repair company had come and looked at our furnace and said it'd be over $1,000 to fix, may need other parts after that, and who knows maybe we'd need a whole new furnace since they said our 10yr old Trane furnace had not been maintained well. Brian is the owner of Crystal Air Systems and he texted me back on a Sunday eve & I sent him some photos of model & serial # and the furnace and he came over that next day Monday to help us. His diagnosis was it probably needed 1 part, and did need to be adjusted (in a techie way I will explain below). He did the adjustment then & there so we could safely & reliably run our heat in the short term (rather than leave it off and be cold like the other company had said), then ordered the part. He came back the next morning Tuesday to put in the part and VOILA! a perfectly functioning furnace. Total bill (parts & labor) just under $200. Naturally we are now lifetime customers of Crystal Air Systems for our furnace needs. Brian doesn't want me to talk ill of other companies (which is nice of him) so I will but in the other review. :-) Crystal Air Systems does pricing by parts cost plus hourly labor cost which I like because it's very transparent & straightforward. Also he doesn't delay w/getting the parts you need. He got the Trane supplier in Lacey to get in our part the next day & brought it right over. While working, Brian was friendly & taught me & my husband things about our furnace which is great because we wanted to learn. OK so now for some techie details (optional reading) I believe are correct because I just learned them from Brian but I'm new to this. We have a dual stage furnace made by Trane. (Dual stage furnaces are not recommended by Brian because he says the replacement parts are more and it's mostly just marketing hype once you factor in the higher parts costs over its lifetime. But he can service them fine so good enough for me.) The adjustment Brian made during his first visit was that he found that the furnace was supplying too much gas when it kicked into it's high (fire) heat mode, which might have stressed the thermal limit switch that needed replacing. He used an old-school (non-digital) manometer to measure gas pressure & air pressure because he says that the digital ones need to be calibrated so he can be sure his is always accurate. The other tech from the other company had thought our inducer needed replacing (a costly part) but Brian's diagnosis said it was fine. I definitely got the impression that Brian was a Furnace Super-Geek so I trust his assessment, plus our furnace has been great in the 8 days since his visit. Thanks so much Brian & Crystal Air Systems. You've made two new homeowners and their 3 dogs & 4 cats very happy! read more

Responded quickly and came on Christmas morning! He was down to earth, explaining in plain terms, and teaching us how to care for our furnace. Most importantly he fixed the furnace and our Christmas weekend will now be cozy and bright instead of shivering and cold! His price was more than reasonable and he made no attempt to over sell things not needed. I would consider myself quite particular and my expectations were exceeded. Also, great health and safety protocols for COVID-19. read more

I called because I used them for years and was always happy with their integrity. Randy walked me through the troubleshooting over the phone and fixed it. Crystal Air is a third generation family business and this is proudly represented by the quality of their work. Crystal installed a 4-ton HVAC and 1.5-ton mini-split in our Olympia home and we're extremely happy with the results. While other companies in the area happily pushed us towards bigger, more expensive units, Randy from Crystal Air actually took the time to understand our needs and requirements, and designed the appropriate system. The Crystal team has an awesome positive attitude and strong work ethic, I highly recommend them for your heating and cooling needs! read more

5 Stars for professionalism and integrity. My heat pump went out recently and I called a local HVAC company (one of the big names) to do a diagnosis and hopefully a repair. The technician basically tried to sell me a new system and quoted prices from their menu to replace six parts that seemed outrageously high (around $1,600); he still charged me $79 just for this diagnosis. I called Randy to get a second opinion. Randy quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced a part for $10 and fixed several wire connectors and got my heat pump running to specifications; total cost for the repair was $165! Moral to this story: if you need service for your HVAC/Heat Pump, call Randy and don't bother with the "big guys" as they are unscrupulous (at least in my encounter with them). We highly recommend this company for your furnace repair needs. The owner, Brian C., went above and beyond to help restore heat to our home. We left him a message on the Sunday after Christmas, and explained that the furnace had been out since Christmas Eve. We didn't expect a call back until Monday, however, Brian surprised us by calling back Sunday evening. Even more amazing is that he completed the repair first thing Monday, though he had to negotiate roads that were snowy and icy to do so. We appreciate his courteous, timely and professional service. read more

Crystal Air quickly fixed my electric furnace. Didn't try to sell me other products. Price was EXCELLENT. I did ask for a general quote for a heat pump which I may go to if I qualify for the tax write offs that are coming. Better pricing then the last company that gave me estimate. If I go for it, I will be calling Chrystal Air again. Brian is also super funny and nice, so I was entertained as well :) Bonus! read more

Brian came out within a day of my call. Crystal Air of Olympia is definitely my go-to business for furnace/HVAC repair. Brian is DA BOMB! On his first visit last year, he spent a couple of hours diagnosing my problem, ended up replacing the control board and/or the pressure switch, and only charged me for the switch itself, not his time. Today, I called him because the fault indicator again said it was a faulty PS (he indicated that a bad board will often default to reporting a bad switch), and over the phone he suggested removing the hose from the switch, blowing thru it to remove any dust or gunk that may have prevented vacuum from getting to the switch, and reconnecting it. Son of a gun if that didn't seem to fix the problem...the furnace started up normally, and appears to be working now. So, when it comes time to replace my furnace (and that time may be soon), Crystal Air and Brian are going to be the folks I call to get that done. Thanks again, Brian...you DA MAN, and a genius! read more

After getting the scare tactic from another furnace servicing business, I asked for a second opinion from Randy at Crystal Air. The business that came out previously wrote that the motor was leaking and that a heat exchanger had a crack in it. According to that company, the ultimate solution was to get a new furnace. Randy came out after normal business hours and checked out the furnace. He looked at the motor and it was not leaking oil - it was dry as a bone. He looked at the heat exchangers and there were no cracks in them. He showed me both of his findings. I appreciate that he came out after hours and took the time to show me that there was no damage at all. I highly recommend his company and am changing immediately to using Crystal Air for furnace maintenance. read more

Randy at Crystal Air has been a great resource for my clients' HVAC needs for years, and consistently delivers by being reliable, skilled and affordable. Today he went above and beyond by meeting me at 8:30pm after a long day of work to install last minute seismic strapping on a water heater before the house closes, despite the fact that his schedule is booked with air conditioning installations and repairs during these recent hot days. A big Thank You! read more

I called the team frantically to get help on a Sunday when our AC failed during the recent heatwave. I left a message after closing hours and was honestly surprised to get a callback in a couple hours. Warm and friendly, Randy diagnosed my problem over the phone by asking me some questions. I told him I wasn't suffering and was ok with him stacking the elderly and more needy before me. He suggested Brian handle it as he believed it to be an electrical problem. I got a call from Brian within 30 minutes setting up an appointment for the very next morning! I am not a mechanical guy, I'm just not wired that way. I am a teacher, and something I loved about Brian was how he invited me into the process and educated me on the system, common problems to look out for, and long term maintenance ideas! He also explicitly explained what he was doing and the rationale behind it! Warm, friendly, and funny (which I know is subjective) it was clear that Brian was not only great at his job, but that he cared. Will recommend to the people I care most about, and anyone else who needs fast, efficient, professional service at a reasonable price! read more

I left a message on Tuesday, Randy called me back on Tuesday night and left me his contact info. I called back on Wednesday and he was able to make an appt on the same day. I wanted to have my heat pump and AC checked since it hadn't been done for about four years. Winter is coming, I like warmth. Randy showed up on time and gave my system a thorough check. He was great and I feel assured that I'm ready for the upcoming PNW weather. I'll definitely call on him from now on. Thanks Randy. read more

I had a very good experience with Crystal Air. A competitor of theirs came to service my system and told me that I would have to replace my furnace within a year. When the furnace had a problem, about a month later, I called Crystal Air. They fixed the problem and assured me that me system would last a lot longer and explained why. They were also not as expensive as the other company. read more

I woke up this morning (Sunday around 7:00 am ) with it 57 degrees in the house and our furnace running non-stop set to 64. My wife and I just bought this home in June and the previous owner had Crystal Air Systems come out and do an inspection/general service. We were told there was a warranty on the system for 12 months through Crystal Air so that is who I called. I called them at 7:41 am and left a message expecting a call tomorrow during the business week. To my surprise at 7:54 am Brian returned my call, asked a few questions, and then unfortunately informed me there was no warranty as he just provided a general service on the system. He said he was on his way to buy some milk and would bring his work van instead of his personal vehicle and wouldn't mind stopping by. Well, being that I just lost my job due to the extreme slow down in my industry...I was dreading what the cost of a weekend visit would cost. Brian showed up around 8:30 am, and was very informative through the visit. He didn't mind that I stood over his shoulder asking questions, in fact he joked and said he'd make a service tech out of me yet. He found the igniter switch to be out after testing a number of other things. The screw for ours was rusted and Brian had to take apart parts of our exhaust to get to it...and then it was with some engineering ingenuity that he was able to get the screw holding it down out. He had the part in his van (generic brand) and switched it out. Within moments the furnace fired up. Brian tested the air flow, CO levels, and made sure everything was in good working order. It took him about 30 minutes to do all of this. The cost: NOTHING! Brian told me that he understands someone going through hard times and he didn't mind helping me out since he was able to today. Thank God for Brian, and thank you very much Brian for your time and help. Brian is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, and a true professional craftsman in his industry. I would recommend him to anyone in the Thurston County and surrounding areas for repairs or new system installs. You will be working with a very honest company by going with Crystal Air Systems. We are so impressed and appreciative of Crystal Air Systems. It is refreshing to find a company with such integrity, expertise and great customer service. They recently installed a new heat pump for us and increased the capacity of our furnace. A different company told us we needed a new furnace and their quote was much higher for the heat pump and the furnace (that we didn't even need). Crystal Air Systems were responsive, friendly, professional and good at explaining things. They were also quick with the work and left things cleaner than before they came.
