Electrician damaged my expensive furniture and mangled the outside of the siding. He was going to just leave but I insisted that he try to fix the siding that he'd left protruding way out and the rest of the siding with gaps for rain (water) to enter the home. He finally repaired it but it looks horrible. Moreover, the HVAC Minsplit system they installed contstantly makes loud noise. The original guy who came to set up the installation assured me they would install the unit behind the guest bedroom so that noise would be limited to my bedroom, but the installers insisted upon placing it behind my bedroom so I listen to what sounds like a jet warming up (constantly). Moreover, the minsplit unit in my bedroom is loud with constant LOUD clicking, popping, and humming. And aesthetically, the crew insisted upon installing the unit on the side of my home rather than underneath as their initial consultant assured me it would be, so the lines run directly along and under my bedroom window. While the crew was nice and friendly, they did install and run. At the very end just before leaving the one (less friendly of the two) tech handed me the remote and a manual and he demonstrated a few basic buttons to push, but this remote is a nightmare. Just google "How to operate Hisense remote" and you'll get countless examples but none that match your remote. And when you send a note to Alpine asking for a link you get no response. Anyway, don't use Alpine and above all don't let them or anyone else talk you into installing a Hisense HVAC Minisplit. This company is great. Their proposal was one to two thousand less than the 4 other bids I received. They showed up ahead of schedule to install, I didn't have to wait. They accommodated my special request not to run cooling/heating lines on the exterior of the house, even though it was more work to conceal them in the walls. 4 hours to install the whole system. The final price was the exact same as the bid, no added cost of fees. Unit works well, so quiet I didn't think it was even working. Had the 2 unist installed in August 2015 , still waiting as of November 2017 for the remainder of the work to be done. They measured the house, they are the experts ! Told me 2 units at each end of the house would take care of the whole place. After installation, the one unit leaked all over my office paperwork. They came to fix the leak but made no offer to replace all the ruined paperwork. Our bedrooms do not benefit from either unit. So finally, after many phone calls they came and told us it was because the units were dirty. Have they been dirty since installation? The bedrooms have NEVER benefited from either unit. We have to run fans in the summer and wall units in the winter. Now, they say that we need more duct work . But 2 months later, they have never returned. read more

We are very happy with our new heat pumps--and with the service Alpine Ductless provided from start to finish. All our questions were answered prior to having the units installed. The installation was done correctly and passed final inspection without a problem. The team who did the install were friendly and professional and got the job done faster than they had estimated. Now we have been using the heat for 2 months and have significantly lower heat bills than we had last year, while maintaining the house at a much more comfortable temperature. In our detached garage, which we use as a workshop, we can keep it at 50 degrees most of the time, and then bump it up to 70 when we're going to be working. It heats up in 15 or 20 min. Their sales rep Noah was great - no pressure,very thorough, and answered all my questions. Unfortunately once the installers arrived things didn't go as smoothly - spent over an hour trying to figure out how and where to install the system. After installation I noticed no caulking, disconnected vents and other misc "issues". The owner was quick to respond and sent a guy out to fix things. Finally, the inside unit wasn't placed where I had asked the salesman and installers to place it so I had to pay to have it moved to its proper location - they did cut the hourly rate but still. So far, the system has been great during the summer! I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs this fall and winter! I live on Vashon Island but Hillarie at Alpine Ductless had no issue with taking a ferry and coming to visit. I actually got four other vendors from off island to give me an estimate. Not only did Alpine Ductless have the best price (for the exact same Daikin two unit system I bid across all vendors) she was the most knowledgeable about the PSE rebate program. She also suggested a low interest loan from Generations Credit Union who are also great lenders (I work in a bank). The guys at South Sound Ductless really took the time to explain the benefits of switching over from my expensive electric wall heating units to a newer, more efficient ductless heating system. I love my new ductless unit, it's proven to be one of the best investments to our home. Today is the hottest day of the year, 100 degrees outside. My house is a comfortable 72 degrees. We used to use a window air conditioner that was loud and obnoxious and would only cool one room, and the air was too cold! This unit is amazing, it's quiet and cools the whole house. They really do make sure your every dollar's worth. They will not sell you anything more or less than what you would need to be comfortable in your home. Other places were recommending more than 1 unit for our small home, but Alpine really narrowed it down to only 1 unit, which is really all we needed, resulting in thousands of dollars saved. I really like the representative that came out all the way to Maple Valley to give an in depth quote. Noah was extremely knowledgeable and gave us his most trusted and honest opinion and expertise in this field. He answered all of our questions. The Daikin system itself is impressive , but from the start very disappointing service. Installation day one guy showed up at 11:00 am, instead of two at 8:00 am, the one day install went to two days and the service techs even tried to push it to three days. The guy tying in all the electrical was not a certified electrician. Since the install I have had them out multiple times to reinstall, poorly installed equipment and each time it has been like pulling teeth to get them to show up, they even made appointments to show up and no-showed. Even Labor and Industries has been out multiple times because Alpine Ductless can not seem to do the work up to state codes. Would never recommend Alpine Ductless out of Olympia Wa to anyone. By far the worst contractors I have ever dealt with in 30 years. read more

We learned about Alpine from a colleague at Habitat for Humanity--Alpine does quite a lot for Habitat. When we got three estimates for our job, Alpine came in with the best price, and was completely self-contained, handling both the ductless installation and the electrical work it requires--not all outfits do this. Alpine's employees showed up when we asked them to, completed the job in one day, treated us in a friendly and respectful way, and turned in an excellent job. They also helped us set up the necessary post-installation inspections, which took place today. The inspectors spent less than 10 minutes each, since every aspect of the job was done in a clean and professional manner. Add to that the excellent warranty and support commitments of Alpine, and I can't think how this business could be any better run.
