I had no problems with them but the electricians could have been more respectful towards my property they left a mess on the floor and broke the wheels on my food cabinet causing me to have to remove everything from it and take the wheels off then set it directly on the floor and replace all the food back to it. when I got my appointment I had asked if I needed to move it and was told no because you could get to the door but they needed to remove the entire front of the electrical box. scheduled an appointment for 9:00 AM and even took time off work to be home. The technician never showed. I had to call the company myself, and the owner (I assume) said he'd check with the technician. He called back to say the technician was "working on something" and could reschedule for another day. By then it was nearly 9:30. If I hadn't called, I would have just been left waiting with no update. The whole point of setting an appointment is so I can plan my time. TIME IS MONEY! if they had told me upfront it could be anytime let's say between 9-11 AM, I could have adjusted my schedule. Poor communication and poor customer service. Our heat pump recently was having some issues. Randys came out promptly and identified that the original company (who is now out of business) did not install our unit properly according to the manufacturers guidelines which was straining our unit. We just had a new system installed by Randy's Heating when our 90 year old gas furnace died unexpectedly. We were very reluctant to put a "ductless" system into our 93 year old house, desperate to maintain the look and charm - but Tyler walked us through several options that would help preserve the charm, and still keep us both warm in winter and cool in summer. He explained all of the benefits, and answered every (even silly) questions we had and made us realize it was time to "modernize" our home. To be responsible, we also had another company come out, to see what they would suggest and what they would charge. It was a no-brainer to go with Randy's. From the first visit, we felt they were the most professional, knowledgeable and patient. Tyler even came back out just to go over the details again, to answer more of our questions. They gave us options, 3 quotes to choose from, and the price was surprisingly affordable, alleviating my worst fears. (we didn't even wait to hear back from the second opinion!) The installers were completely professional, very concerned with keeping my house clean throughout the 2-day install, very nice, very informative the entire time. They went the extra mile to answer questions, and explain processes. I now have 2 Floor Mount and 2 Wall Mount "ducted ductless" mini splits keeping our entire house cozy, while all of the connections and tubes and such went under the house. We really thought we'd hate having these in our house, but we were happily wrong. They're fantastic, unobtrusive, quiet and fit right in. Even the outdoor unit that powers them all isn't a big deal at all. Nestled up to the side of the house, it's not even noticeable. This review might seem long and rambling but what I want to convey is how Professional, Caring and Outstanding all of the people at Randy's Heating are. Randy's heating has been doing ongoing maintenance to my heat pump systems for years now. I love that their technicians come out twice a year and check over the systems, since their my main source of heating and cooling I like to know that everything is working well! Their techs are always professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Not to mention they are very thorough in their inspections, which I appreciate. One of the bonuses of having them come for twice yearly inspections is it saves me money when/if I ever need repair work done. I set up an appointment. The day they were supposed to service my heat pump they called and said that they weren't coming because they could not locate a distributor for my equipment. My Equipment is a Heil (owned by ICP which also owns Carrier). The only other time I have had this equipment serviced, I called ICP and they pointed me to United Refrigeration as their distributor in this area (they are in Fife). I would not recommend Randy's to anyone. They left me high-and-dry at the last minute. read more

I called them on a Monday morning and left a message, they returned my call within an hour, and about 3 hours later there was a technician at our house. Sean was able to diagnose and fix the issue and provided a suggestion on how to avoid the issue in the future. Being new to Bremerton and knowing no one living in the area, I had no idea what local HVAC company might be reliable, honest, reasonable and not out to take advantage of a disabled senior citizen. My house has two independent systems. One is a large Trane heat pump that provides heating and cooling to the majority of my two story residence (abt 2,100 sq ft). It is located outside the home with ducting running into a below level crawl space for the floor vents of the first level and through the walls to ventilate the second level. Both the heat and air conditioning in this unit are working well. There is also reported to be a metal "box" about 2 ft square connected to the duct work in the crawl space. The second system serves two lower level rooms of approx. 600 sq ft. It is installed in the attic above the garage and is accessed through a scuttle hole in the ceiling. Due to my physical limitations I have never been in nor observed whatever is installed in either the basement crawl space or the garage attic. The unit in the garage attic has a separate thermostat that is for both heating and cooling. The heating worked well last winter. In testing the air conditioning last month it appears the air conditioning is not working. I spent several house searching the Bremerton, Silverdale and Port Orchard area on the internet for a HVAC service, maintenance and repair company with a good reputation. From my search I located no company having a greater number or more high rated reviews than Randy's Heating. Based upon the shear number and consistently high ratings I elected to contact Randy's. I wanted to have the lower level air conditioner diagnosed and whatever was connected to the crawl space ducts identified and diagnosed if it was not working properly. I made an appointment to have a technician come and perform these tasks. I was given a 3 - 5 PM window for him to arrive. He arrived about 15 minutes before scheduled which surprised me as I have found it rare to have any scheduled arrival times ever met. I explained the reason for the service call. He immediately climbed into the attic and inspected the device. He stated that the unit was an air handler which consists of a metal box containing heating elements, a fan, several ducts serving the lower rooms and a return duct with a filter. To my surprise he advised me the air conditioning was not working because air conditioning equipment had never been installed. Talk about feeling stupid.!! After we had a brief laugh about that, he went outside and looked inside the crawl space. He identified the "box" as an electronic air filter that was not turned on or containing filters. He asked if I would like him to bring it back on line. I told him I preferred not to use it if leaving it off created no problems other than circulation possible allergens or dust. He asked if I would like to have him perform any of the maintenance or service functions they had to offer. As all systems appear to be functioning as designed, I elected to not take advantage of any of the services he offered me without applying any pressure. I wish I had gotten his name. I have nothing but good things to say about him and the assistance he provided me during the brief time he was here. He could not have been more friendly and helpful. It is hard to put into words but he left me with a good feeling that I feel certain represents the professional service I would receive from Randy's Heating in the future. He gave me his business card which I will keep. I have no doubt but that I will not use any other HVAC company when I need one. Our Residential HVAC system was not up to snuff and started to make some un-natural noises. Asked for an estimate from Randy's Heating. The tech advised he could work on it but it was 12 year old system and he would have to chase gremlins. At first we didn't know what to think. The heat wave hit and our old system sounded like it was going to completely burn up. We took a chance and agreed to the work. Once the team arrived, I discovered it was the owner who actually does the work. Once the work started the team was efficient, respectable and completed the work early. The team left my house clean. It was as if they were not here at all. Once the equipment was installed, Randy went over the equipment and the equipment company background, the maintenance plan, warrantee and how to operate it. Randy told me something I had not heard from any any business operator, "You didn't just buy a HVAC unit. You bought Randy's Heating as well". We have been running the unit since it was installed a week ago, it is operating better than expected and is able to be operated via phone app. The next day two team members arrived and cleaned all the vent ducts and registers. I cannot recommend Randy's Heating enough! About our story. Our heating went out a couple of weeks back. We contacted another heating company to fix it and were told it could not be fixed and we needed a new unit. We were charged by this other company a diagnostic fee (understandable) and a travel fee (cause evidently people can travel with their furnaces?!?). We were told it would be a min of 5k just for the new furnace. Due to the fees I contacted a Facebook group for advice and Randy himself sent me a message saying he could come out the next day and look at it. Sadly, our furnace was a lost cost and Randy actually sat down with us and explained and showed us why along with our options. Then gave us recommendations on replacements and why he chose the furnaces he did for quote for much less than his competitor. By the end of his visit we felt like we had a new family member and confident in our options. Said he could install in a week. A couple of days later I wake up with crazy hair and my robe taking my dog out to find them pulling in our driveway! Surprise! They had a opening and at long last we would have heat! The install was fast and efficient and everything about our new heat system was explained to us in a very patient and thorough manner. Randy's unfortunately prioritizes by units they install now by customers in need and who make appointments. I'm without heat and was relying on them to come out to help me. I'm giving three stars because they were courteous on the phone and called me before the scheduled appointment but thier policies are terrible. Talked to Randy Wednesday, May 23rd about a small job moving some heater vents and installing a hood. Randy said he had an opening June 1st. I told him I would have to make sure this works with my contractor and I would let him know later Wednesday or Thursday morning. Randy said he'd pencil me in. I called first thing Thursday and left a message saying we were on for the June 1st please call me back to confirm. I never received a call back, so Friday around 3pm I called and left another message. Randy finally returned my call Friday around 6pm and said he couldn't do it anymore. When I asked him what he meant when he 'penciled me in' he said oh, I need a firm commitment. I am not sure why he didn't tell me that up front or why he didn't bother calling me back Thursday. Randy is a very knowledgeable HVAC professional. He removed my inefficient electric forced-air furnace from the 1980's and replaced it with an efficient heat pump. I received price quotes from two other HVAC companies. Not only did Randy destroy the other two quotes, but now my electric bill is SIGNIFICANTLY lower and I will have efficient A/C in my house when summer comes! With the energy efficiency and cost savings, the system will pay for itself rather quickly. One last thing... he does clean jobs. You won't find dirty finger prints like a trail of bread crumbs which let you trace his path. I noticed he wore booties over his shoes several times too. Last week during the near-90 degree heat, our thermostat lost power. I did some research and all the local guys had pretty terrible reviews except Randy's so I figured I'd give them a shot. I called and left a message requesting a callback. Within an hour had a call from Ian, who offered to try to send out a technician the same day but because of my schedule we booked it for Tuesday the next week. Kyle came for his 4:00pm appointment at 3:58pm. He was absolutely incredible! Nice, respectful, clean appearance, professional, everything you hope for in a service call. He went through a clear common sense process of diagnostics and confidently found the problem. He happened to have the piece in his truck and replaced it quickly. He then recommended that we do a full maintenance since it was only $10 more than the diagnostic fee and since he had the time, performed everything at that visit. He explained the invoice and everything he recommended moving forward. He did absolutely everything I would have asked for from an exemplary professional. This is the way. Randy's got the heat back on! I called another repair service when a power surge knocked out my heat. They told me they could not repair my air handler and because it was 25 years old I needed a whole new system. Randy's service tech Elijah came out to do a bid. He asked if it was alright to try to get my heat system running again. Of course! He was initially puzzled but finally figured out what the problem was. He fixed both the air handler short and replaced the burned out thermostat. I was impressed he figured out the problem after another company could not!
