Showed up when they said they would and did professional work at a competitive price. I will work with them again.

He and Axel showed up, replaced the water heater, brought everything up to code, and hauled the old one away in just a little over an hour.

Matt the Plumber - Faucet replaced

Matt the Plumber

We did not have huge mysterious problems - a toilet that was not flushing correctly every time, and a dripping faucet outside. They were scheduled at 9 am, and they left at 10:25. There were a few questionable things. Not about Matt and Jason, who seem to be very nice people. But about their charges. They exchanged a flapper in the toilet for a Toto flapper. A name brand, so it might be more costly. Matt charged $38 for that Toto flapper, which is selling for $6.86 elsewhere. I understand that materials must be upcharged, but that seems excessive. He also charged $180 for 2 hours labor. I cannot quite figure that one out. Perhaps bc there were two plumbers here, then each was a 1 hr labor charge? But this was a one plumber job. Changing a flapper in a toilet, or a leaky faucet only required one plumber. They were not actually here two hours, so it could not have been charging 1 plumber's labor for two hours. ? Not sure about how this charge was figured. The other questionable thing was the credit card processing fee. I always pay in cash or check bc I hate that a businss has to pay 3-3.5% fee. I paid him with a check. However, Matt caught my attention when he said he charges a 5% fee, if you pay with a credit card. Not sure if he is aware of this, but that is illegal in WA state. The state allows you to charge the actual % fee from the credit card company, OR a maximum of 4% . Charging 5% is against the state law. So clearly this is questionable on his part as the business owner. Overall, they seemed committed to doing a thorough job, and helping the customer, but their charges may be excessive

2 Sons Plumbing & Sewer - One of our technicians helping a customer

Their staff (phone staff and on-site plumbers) are professional, communicate well and get the job done. I should call out though that you might be able to save a few $ if you went with an independent but that's kind of the case for most home repair/servicing companies. I've never used them for Electric and/or HVAC so I can't speak to that.

This company has changed. And not for the better…read more A week ago I called to schedule an appointment for a leaky faucet in my house. An AI voice answered the phone, asked me why I was calling, told me it was going to look up my account details, said it had a problem and that someone would contact me to follow up, and then hung up on me. A few hours later I got a text from "Cameron". I complained to "Cameron" about the experience I had from the AI phone answerer. "Cameron" apologize and told me that such an experience would frustrate him too...then "Cameron" decided to be transparent with me and tell me that he was in fact AI as well and "his" real name was "Carson". We went back and forth about 6 times to explain the problem I was having and to set up an appointment. Then "Cameron" told me that the time we worked out wasn't confirmed yet and that someone would be calling me to confirm the time. Thanks, "Cameron". This was Friday around 4:00PM. THE NEXT MORNING, a human being (I think) texted me from the same number to confirm the appointment. After I let them know how unhappy I was with the AI scheduling service, a human (I think) did call me and apologized for it. Then, on the day of the appointment, the technician arrived an hour and a half after the 12:00-16:00 window we had set up. I had to call them at 16:30 to ask if the technician was coming and they told me he would be there soon. When he did arrive, in the middle of me making dinner for my family, he told me that the faucet would need to be replaced and that it would be $750 (!!) in labor to fix it. Then I was charged $83 for his time (which I guess would be rolled into the service). So, in the end I still had a leaky faucet and I was out $83 with the option to pay $670 to replace a faucet (plus the cost of the faucet itself). For that price, I'm just going to do it myself. Then the spam texts started coming from "Cameron" asking about the estimate. I got one every day until I told it to stop texting me. This company used to be great but I'm going to be looking around the next time I need a plumber. Please ditch this stupid AI system. Please don't charge your customers if you're extremely late for your own four hour window - especially if the diagnosis takes five minutes and is "I can't fix it - replace the faucet".

We got quotes from two other known Plumbing companies before we knew about Purdy and the first quote was out of sight and the second was only have way out of sight. We contacted our landscaper about a plumbing company and he suggested Purdy. They came out and inspected the situation and found the problem and gave us a quote that was reasonably high, but much more inline with reality. Two technicians came out and dug up the two problem areas and took care of the roots and repaired the breaks in the lines. They then checked with a camera line 100 feet up and 100 feet down the pipe to make sure there were no other breaks. They left the repair sites, pristine. Because they did such a great job and were somewhat affordable, I called them when I needed my tankless water heater serviced and a complete kitchen sink and faucet plumbing redo. One of the same very nice technicians (Richard Sherman) who helped the HOA was the one who arrived to help us. Four hours later the jobs were completed. I had everything out to go under the kitchen sink cabinet to thorough clean and when I opened the doors, it was spotless, just like new. There are 21 other homes in our little community and I plan on letting them know about Purdy Plumbing Company. You can't find a more honest and professional group of people. Ron Carlsen

My septic tank alarm (if you don't have one get one!) went off in the late evening. I quickly called and scheduled for them to come the next afternoon. In the morning there have been a mixup from the scheduler and they were on their way, but with quick resolve they rescheduled for the afternoon as I had planned. The service man that came was extremely thorough and worked efficiently without wasting time. Being a woman, I am always afraid of being ripped off and dismissed with my concerns and questions, this was never the case here. Every question I had was handled with care, he did not shy away from explaining how things worked either. He made the required repairs and cleaned up afterwards. Now let's talk about cost. Yes, I was expensive. But there was no was in HELL I was going to muck about this household's feces! These men and women have a dirty job and should be compensated for it, not to mention the cost for safely disposing/cleaning up whatever materials they come across. If you're concerned about costs be sure to ask the scheduler what is typically charged and they will happily explain it to you. You will have to pay for their time, materials, and assessment of the issue. I will be using this company again for my next service. (4 stars instead of 5 because of the scheduling hiccup.)
