An AI voice answered the phone, asked me why I was calling, told me it was going to look up my account details, said it had a problem and that someone would contact me to follow up, and then hung up on me. A few hours later I got a text from "Cameron". I complained to "Cameron" about the experience I had from the AI phone answerer. "Cameron" apologize and told me that such an experience would frustrate him too...then "Cameron" decided to be transparent with me and tell me that he was in fact AI as well and "his" real name was "Carson". We went back and forth about 6 times to explain the problem I was having and to set up an appointment. Then "Cameron" told me that the time we worked out wasn't confirmed yet and that someone would be calling me to confirm the time. Thanks, "Cameron". This was Friday around 4:00PM. THE NEXT MORNING, a human being (I think) texted me from the same number to confirm the appointment. After I let them know how unhappy I was with the AI scheduling service, a human (I think) did call me and apologized for it. Then, on the day of the appointment, the technician arrived an hour and a half after the 12:00-16:00 window we had set up. I had to call them at 16:30 to ask if the technician was coming and they told me he would be there soon. When he did arrive, in the middle of me making dinner for my family, he told me that the faucet would need to be replaced and that it would be $750 (!!) in labor to fix it. Then I was charged $83 for his time (which I guess would be rolled into the service). So, in the end I still had a leaky faucet and I was out $83 with the option to pay $670 to replace a faucet (plus the cost of the faucet itself). For that price, I'm just going to do it myself. Then the spam texts started coming from "Cameron" asking about the estimate. I got one every day until I told it to stop texting me. This company used to be great but I'm going to be looking around the next time I need a plumber. Please ditch this stupid AI system. Please don't charge your customers if you're extremely late for your own four hour window - especially if the diagnosis takes five minutes and is "I can't fix it - replace the faucet".

We were very reluctant to put a "ductless" system into our 93 year old house, desperate to maintain the look and charm - but Tyler walked us through several options that would help preserve the charm, and still keep us both warm in winter and cool in summer. He explained all of the benefits, and answered every (even silly) questions we had and made us realize it was time to "modernize" our home. To be responsible, we also had another company come out, to see what they would suggest and what they would charge. It was a no-brainer to go with Randy's. From the first visit, we felt they were the most professional, knowledgeable and patient. Tyler even came back out just to go over the details again, to answer more of our questions. They gave us options, 3 quotes to choose from, and the price was surprisingly affordable, alleviating my worst fears. (we didn't even wait to hear back from the second opinion!) The installers were completely professional, very concerned with keeping my house clean throughout the 2-day install, very nice, very informative the entire time. They went the extra mile to answer questions, and explain processes. I now have 2 Floor Mount and 2 Wall Mount "ducted ductless" mini splits keeping our entire house cozy, while all of the connections and tubes and such went under the house. We really thought we'd hate having these in our house, but we were happily wrong. They're fantastic, unobtrusive, quiet and fit right in. Even the outdoor unit that powers them all isn't a big deal at all. Nestled up to the side of the house, it's not even noticeable. This review might seem long and rambling but what I want to convey is how Professional, Caring and Outstanding all of the people at Randy's Heating are. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend them to everyone I talk to. The value for my money, their professionalism, and the sense of security and comfort they have given us is immeasurable. Donny was extremely thorough in identifying the issue and diagnosed that the unit I had was not the right size for my home. In addition the piping was inefficient and not up to code. They offered to refund the prior install, designed a sleek solution with a new combi boiler and somehow managed to make everything fit perfectly into the very small mechanical room in my home. This was a complicated install made even more challenging by the small space, but Donny's workmanship and problem-solving was excellent. They were able to accommodate my schedule, finished on time and were collaborative with me throughout the process and helped me land on a solution and price that I was satisfied with. My home has never been this comfortably heated in the winter before while not compromising on hot water in the bathroom and kitchen. In the morning there have been a mixup from the scheduler and they were on their way, but with quick resolve they rescheduled for the afternoon as I had planned. The service man that came was extremely thorough and worked efficiently without wasting time. Being a woman, I am always afraid of being ripped off and dismissed with my concerns and questions, this was never the case here. Every question I had was handled with care, he did not shy away from explaining how things worked either. He made the required repairs and cleaned up afterwards. Now let's talk about cost. Yes, I was expensive. But there was no was in HELL I was going to muck about this household's feces! These men and women have a dirty job and should be compensated for it, not to mention the cost for safely disposing/cleaning up whatever materials they come across. If you're concerned about costs be sure to ask the scheduler what is typically charged and they will happily explain it to you. You will have to pay for their time, materials, and assessment of the issue. I will be using this company again for my next service. (4 stars instead of 5 because of the scheduling hiccup.)
