We had an outstanding experience at Olili during our time in Honolulu. Yoon was our server and he was excellent in every way. The food stood out but the service was the highlight of our experience. I would say that Yoon would shine as a server in a fine dining establishment, Olili is lucky to have him here. He was attentive, gracious, he described every dish with enthusiasm, he anticipated our needs and requests and elevated our experience to make it one to remember. The food was wonderful, especially the bone marrow, and the 3x cooked fries that came with our steak. Our steak came overcooked the first time but Yoon quickly took care of it. Everything was delicious and we will definitely come back. Had the service aspect been different, that may not have been the case. Thanks again, Yoon! The restaurant itself has a lovely ambiance, spacious, and with a nice view of Honolulu. (It's on the second floor, in case you have trouble finding it.)
A great happy hour with delicious apps and even better drinks! Greats service and just a dreamy spot to be during golden hour.
Dessert run... There's noting like treating yourself and here at Olili you can certainly have that here as this unexpected visit worked perfectly. You can find Olili up inside Waikiki Market a grocery store in the Lilia Waikiki you just need to take the elevator up to the second floor and look for the "Restaurant" entrance and what a lovely decor as you feel like you're transported away form the city vibe. They were quite busy so we decided to take a seat at the bar and watching the bartender make drinks was quite impressive but the show was my Kilauea Chocolate Lava Cake that I ordered and they pour the rum fire on it that was a fun and cool experience and though it might have been brief it did make me smile enough to enjoy and am grateful that Nadine had brought me here as I was hesitant to do so. The service was very nice and prompt even though they were obviously busy they all kept it together and we enjoyed our night out and treats which is what is the most important of it all. Thank you!
On my first night in Honolulu, I went straight to Olili, based on other reviews. I'm glad I did! Yes, it is a restaurant located inside an upscale supermarket on the second floor. However, when you're seated, you feel like you're in a nice restaurant, particularly if you have your back to the groceries. I started with the Herbs and Tonic cocktail. (I don't care for overly sweet cocktails, and this had a wonderful blend of herbaceous and tart flavors.) Basil, mint, shiso, lemon, tonic, and Tenjaku Gin. Surprising and refreshing. I chose to have a couple of starters and no main (something I often prefer when dining out). I got the Kanpachi Crudo, which was accompanied by lomi tomato relish, Thai basil, and Wai'anae citrus. So good. Light and packed with bright flavors. Contrasted with... Bone Marrow -- Honolulu beef bone, braised oxtail ragu, fermented chili crunch, Viet herbs, and grilled sourdough. A phenomenal overload of rich decadent flavors. For dessert, it was the amazing Okinawan Haupia "Mud" Bar -- layers of ube custard, macadamia nut crust, haupia sorbet, and shaved roasted sweet potato. Cold, sweet, and savory, with great textures. Excellent service from Crystal. And Jonathan at the bar became a friend of mine. A phenomenal meal and a wonderful experience. Pricy, but totally worth it.
Dessert in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii... After dinner, we used our Yelp apps to find a place that was still open and discovered Olili. We parked at International Marketplace, made a purchase for over $25 and got a $10 validation. We paid $2 upon exiting (instead of paying $12). I had made a reservation online via the Open Table app. We arrived before our timeslot and were told that all tables were filled. I pointed to the bar and asked to sit there. Yes! Bryan, the hard-working bartender, was very busy. He took orders, cleared used plates & utensils, and made drinks while being polite and friendly! He really hustled! We actually wanted the Rainbow Cake that we saw, but it was probably just a special at the time since it wasn't on the Dessert Menu. We ordered the Kilauea Chocolate Lava Cake and the Pineapple Upside-down Cake. We enjoyed the pouring of the rum fire on the Lava Cake! Both desserts were delicious and had beautiful presentation! This was a fun excursion - located on the second level of the Lilia Waikiki apartment building - alongside the Waikiki Market. It's a beautiful space... check out the lights above! Note: we forgot to ask for the 10% off Kama'aina discount
Olili is located inside of a grocery store, but it's very clean and inviting. I tried the bone marrow from the happy hour menu which was delicious. I also got the Pulehu Half Chicken which was so yum! An easy go-to dish if you don't know what to get. The Chili Crab Noodles were more on the wet side, and I had to request for the chili to be on the side as I'm not great with spice. The service was also great. I'd come back!
The food here is high quality, with a nice range of flavors and combinations. The seafood stands out, and the style is a sort of Asian fusion. Serve was friendly and smooth. Note that the restaurant is in a supermarket which doesn't really have any impact, but some of the tables have a pretty good view of people shopping.
Located at Waikiki market on the second floor. Went for happy hour but it ended at 5:30pm so got our first round of drinks and pupus and then ordered other dishes. The restaurant was pretty empty when we sat down, but started getting busier after happy hour. The smoked fish dip and kampachi crudo was a great way to start our meal. We did family style so had the chili crab noodles which was my fav, garlic shrimp forbidden rice, bone marrow which is more meaty than rich (which in my opinion made it taste so much better). Everything was super delicious and service was very friendly and attentive.
An elegant corner carved into the Waikiki Market, this upscale restaurant has beautiful decor and top notch service. The happy hour drew us in and I opted for their version of a Moscow mule, a bargain at $10. The local draft beers were also cheap and cheerful at $7. The duck croquettes $16 were extremely rich and filling and the presentation was very artistic, modeled after a pretty little nest. The kanpachi crudo $20 was exquisite with tasty cherry tomato chutney. The space was empty when we arrived but gradually folks started to stream in. We were satisfied with our happy hour haul but would come back to try the crab garlic noodles and other main dishes. Bonus points: took care of a little shopping at the Waikiki Market which is adjacent and easily accessible.
Came here for happy hour and it was great! There is Kamaaina discount for the regular menu but not happy hour. We just came to try their condensed milk mojito and the bone marrow. That was probably the best bone marrow ever! It had garlic, onion, and lemon grass. It was a Thai take on bone marrow. Delicious. Only part was that it was too small. It was one bone marrow with one piece of sourdough cut in 3 pieces for $17. It was on the pricey end. I definitely want to come back to try the other dishes. They do have parking in the building across but only 4 stalls. They said they are working on getting international market place a parking validated place. Service was friendly and the bartender was knowledgeable. The restaurant was very nice and modern. The natural sunlight comes in throughout the restaurant. I will be back
When in Oahu, I spend time looking for locally owned spots or ones that serve Hawaiian raised/grown food. I was excited to try Olili as it boasts serving a fresh farm-to-table menu. LOCAL ROOTS: We were just a party of two and didn't want to over order so we started with the Local Roots (although I wanted to order nearly everything on the small plates menu). I'd rate the Local Roots plate a solid 9/10. The root veggies, served with burrata atop a pesto base, were cooked to perfection. The root veggies were al dente and seasoned well. Small tweaks would have made this small plate a 5 star dish IMHO. I don't think the pesto was necessary and became slightly over powering - I think a splash of lemon or lime for some acidity would have been just enough. I also would have liked the dish to be served with bread to compliment the burrata and pesto which definitely ends up as some kind of delicious dip. GARLIC SHRIMP FORBIDDEN RICE: My first was to order the fresh catch as the way the fish was prepared sounded delectable. I was bummed to learn the fish of the day was Marlin, as I'm not a marlin fan. I ended up choosing the shrimp and rice dish. This was more like a 6/10. The flavors were good and the food was definitely fresh but there was something missing pulling it all together and justifying it being more than an overpriced ($29) rice bowl. It kept feeling like I was eating a bowl of Thai curry minus the coconut curry broth. There is sausage in the rice and it's a filling dish; I took half the rice home. NEW YORK STRIP: 6/10 - good steak, heavily seasoned with pepper and served over what tasted like a spicy bbq sauce which was a bit too sweet and spicy overpowering the steak itself. We ask for the steak sauce on the side and we're told "it is on the side" when in all actuality it is served under the steak. Since the person who ordered this doesn't easy spicy food, they had to scrape the sauce off the meat slice by slice. Again though, the root veggies were cooked to perfection and very enjoyable. If I returned, I'd probably order four or five small plates and a dessert to share and skip the entrees all together. Service was good; the server was friendly and staff checked in regularly. The location is inside a market but it's nestled away that the market is not a distraction. The lighting is well done in terms of low lamps for ambiance and decor. I would suggest moving the floor tables if possible away from being directly under any of the grocery store overhead spotlights.
easy reservation online, inside Waikiki market Came for date night :) good ambiance in side at night good décor Bone marrow - yes please - rich goodness that is cut with the greens - fish sauce based with some acidic, pairs perfectly with the sourdough bread. 100% recommend half chicken with - homemade red/siracha sauce - chicken was cooked just right, still juicy, flavorful skin, red sauce tasted more tomato based, not spicy at all, adds to the chicken. Combine with salad was same dressing from the bone marrow greens. Love the sauce works. chili crab noodles - noodles cooked right quantity of crab - very little ** but what was there was fresh sauce mixture pulls everything together. drinks: matcha sour - less sour more matcha and maybe slightly bitter as the drink sits - 1/5 coconut sphere - felt more citrusy with sour, quite good, recommend this one Reamend trying this place. Would come back again.
Located on the second floor, near the market. Reminds me of the Asian version of Eatly restaurant in LA/ Las Vegas you can practically see the grocery market right across. I would recommend grabbing a table sitting at the far right end of the restaurant cause it tends to gets noisy towards the host stand. Garlic Shrimp Forbidden Rice: Get this dish if you love juicy shrimp and fried rice. Dish is made with black grain so it's tougher to chew compared to white rice. I loved how the fried rice had sliced Chinese sausage and sliced beef bits. Kinda worked because there's a playful texture difference between the shrimp and rice. Fresh Catch (D): Made with fresh fish of the day. This time chef cooked up swordfish paired with many sliced bits of macadamia nuts and sliced of Chinese broccoli and fresh roe. Swordfish was soft, but didn't have much flavor as I would hoped. I'm not a big fan of 45% of the dish being really nutty, kinda overpowered the flavor of the dish. Liquid Haupia: Great coconut fruity and sweet drink. Rimmed with some flamed Li Hing Mui powder (sweet and sour plum). Black Sesame, Old Fashioned: Paired with a slice of lemon for scent. Heavy whisky flavor and bit more smokey side. Didn't notice much of the black sesame flavor.
Dinner for 4. - Ambiance (4*) Separate door with host to enter the restaurant, though you still walk through the market to get to the dining area. Beautiful decor inside makes it feel separate from the market. Floor to ceiling windows make for great light, but also a bit of a sauna effect. And with less than adequate AC and sun glare around 5pm with no curtains to block, it can make for a less than desirable dining experience. Around 6pm when the sun dips behind the buildings, it gets much better. - Service (5*) Bryan was fast and friendly. Nothing over the top but we always felt attended. Best service we've had in Hawaii. - Pauwela Water Kefir, $6 (5*) Refreshing indeed. Slight hints of flavor. - Kanpachi Crudo, $23 (5*) 5 slices of super meaty Kanpachi. Something about the tomatoes on Hawaii makes them way better than the ones in California. Each little slice so good! Great pops of acid. A really great start to the meal and a sign of things to come. - Chili Crab Noodles, $32 (5*) My wife and I ordered this to share, despite having an entree each. Great decision! I will say seeing the phrase "chili crab" stirs delicious thoughts of Singapore, but the description on the menu steers you away from those thoughts. Delicious in its own way. Spicy but not overwhelmingly so. Lots of balance. Big chunks of Dungeness. Noodles perfectly dente. - Kona Kanpachi, $42 (5*) Lots of places say crispy skin, and then what comes out is slightly crispy but all too often still a bit soggy and difficult to cut through. Here, it's perfect! Super crunchy. Still adheres to the fish. But comes apart easily. This way you get a piece of crunchy skin with each piece of perfectly cooked fish. Wowza! And the Portuguese stew underneath- bold flavors, super balanced. Wowza too! Together? Just the perfect bite. - Kilauea Lava Cake, $15 (5*) Moist, soft. Raspberry integrated perfectly. Excellent finish to the meal. - Value (5*) Compared to what you can get in the rest of Waikiki, this place is great. Full meal and same or cheaper than many other places. - Final Word After eating at a lot of Japanese influenced places with more delicate flavors this week, Olili's bold flavors were a revelation. From my kids' tater tots to the Crudo to my fish, everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. This was one of the few places I've been to (anywhere) that had great service, was creative without being too clever, and just tasted consistently good, dish after dish. We will certainly return. read more
Olili is located on the second floor, with glass windows. It's beautiful in here with a relaxed vibe. Our waiter was awesome, attentive and very formerly. The food was delicious, nice flavor, good variety, and decently priced. I had the chili crab noodles which were perfectly cooked. Sometimes noodles are too hard but these tasted like they were in a broth even though they weren't. The noodles had a great lemon flavor. The crab was cut nicely which gave the dish an awesome taste. My husband had the garlic shrimp forbidden rice. The rice itself was so good! The desserts were so good! So rich, definitely a great way to end the night. My only negative was that I was asked to leave a Yelp review in exchange for a free dessert. Restaurants are not supposed to offer any compensation in exchange for anything. I wasn't going to leave a review because of that, but the food was good. read more

I recommend their bone marrow and fresh catch as our families top two. The bone marrow is Vietnamese pho inspired. It definitely tasted like it was simmered in pho broth. They toss the herbs in a nuoc mam (Vietnamese dipping sauce) dressing. I would come back everyday for this if I could. The sauce on the fish is really great. The cous cous paired great with it. My son gobbled it up and my husband tried a bite and wished he ordered that one. The chili crab noodle my husband ordered was tasty but would be tastier if they made it spicier. The 10oz prime steak had a great spicy gochujang-based sauce. My son loved this sauce and wished he ordered the fish AND the steak. Portions are the perfect amount to leave room for their impressive dessert menu. When we come back I plan to order to the salad. I saw one delivered to another table and it was covered in finely shaved parm. It looked delicious. I like that they have a low-proof drink menu for light weights like me. The Hawaiian cup was very refreshing. read more
The 5 Star Yelp ratings caught my attention, aside that it only had 65 reviews, I still wanted to try it out since it was walking distance from our hotel, on the 2nd floor of the Waikiki Market. Upon entering, the ambiance just had me elated. Our server, Bryan was super attentive, friendly and made our experience even better. Kelan was also was attentive, he brought out our food and explained every dish and the ingredients. They both made us feel welcomed. For this reason, I am giving this restaurant 5 stars and some. Now onto the food... my daughter wanted steak so she ordered the 10oz Prime NY Steak 5/5, my husband ordered the 'Olili Burger 4/5, I ordered two appetizers since I was broke after my 11 year old daughter wanted a $55 steak. I ordered the Bone Marrow 5/5 (Honoulu Meat Co. Beef Bones, braised oxtail ragu, fermented chili crunch, viet herbs on grilled sourdough) and I also ordered the Duck Croquette 5/5 along with 2 glasses of Sauvignon Blanc also 5/5. My son ordered off of the kids menu, he ordered the Fish - Swordfish which came with tater tots and fruit. I'll rate it 5/5 for him because he loved it. He loved it so much he asked the waiter what kind of fish it was. Smart 7 year old that loves his food! My husband's burger came with tomatoes and they were soooo freakin good. I had to question it and ask what that was about. Apparently they're called tomato bombs! Marinated and just delish! I'd say we had an incredible dinner, just the right portions for everything and we felt like special. Thank you Olili. Such a lovely place tucked away in a grocery store. Highly recommend this place. read more

We came here twice in two evenings. The "Show You Smoke" drink is worth it. The food is amazing, bone morrow and salmon chips and fresh catch crab noodles, the service from Holly our waitress was incredible; she provided great menu options and places to visit during our stay, and the ambiance is sheik, providing a homie feel and corner street viewing experience. Highly recommend!!! read more
This place was okay, the food was good! The swordfish was a little salty for my liking and the shrimp wasn't as garlicky as I usually like. I was expecting garlic shrimp like they sell in food trucks but it was mediocre is comparison. The restaurant is behind a grocery store so it's not the best as for location. The host took a really long time to come back to seat us even though it was completely empty inside the restaurant. The server was not knowledgeable about the fish at all because he said he didn't like fish? It was an alright experience, I would opt for another restaurant! read more
Olili was fantastic - they had a menu of creative drinks and dishes along with an impressive full bar. The staff was quick to provide recommendations and clarify questions I had about the menu. Although the place is located tucked in the back of a market/grocery store it is Avery cute trendy space that makes for a nice upscale dinner. read more
This restaurant is a hidden gem inside Waikiki Market. I was able to easily make a same-day dinner reservation for two on a Friday evening and when we arrived about 30 mins early, were able to be seated immediately as the restaurant was less than half full. It's a beautiful, modern space with a lovely airiness thanks to the large windows. I loved their concise menu for food and drinks and their many low/no ABV drink options. I had a Hibiscus Spritz drink which was delicious, fruity, and refreshing. As an appetizer, we shared the Kanpachi Crudo. A very light portion but sooo flavorful and fresh. It was so delicious, I wish I had more. For entrees, I had the Chili Crab Noodles and my mom had the Garlic Shrimp Forbidden Rice. The Chili Crab Noodles were AMAZING. Just a little spicy to match the subtle sweetness of the fresh Dungeness crab-- the flavors were perfectly balanced. Mom was also a huge fan of her rice. For dessert, we shared the Rainbow Cake was a huge portion and also very yummy. When booking the reservation, I'd mentioned we were celebrating mom's birthday and they took special care to also bring a surprise scoop of gelato with a candle in it, which was a lovely touch. Service was stellar all night, so this was just the cherry on top. I'm so glad we visited-- we had a phenomenal dinner. read more

I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Hidden gem in Waikiki located in the Waikiki Market that's easy to miss tucked in the back corner. Service was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Food was fabulous. Started with the root vegetables with burrata and the Kiefer Lime Shrimp which were both amazing. Main was the Shoyu Fig Duck and I can't put in words how amazing it was. Eat at this restaurant, you won't be disappointed. read more

Came here our first night in Waikiki. We enjoyed it so much we came again in our last night. The location was slightly out of the way but definitely worth the extra steps. All of our dishes were excellent. We ordered: - Beef tartare (my fav dish) - Smoked fish dip - Fresh catch (memorable) - Kona Kampachi (memorable) - Olili burger - Kids burger (the tots were some of the best I've ever had) - Kids fish - Okinawan Mud Bar - Lava cake - Shine on cocktail - Matcha Sour cocktail - Liquid Haupia - Ma la Negroni Service was excellent. Staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back on our next trip go Waikiki. read more

"so good you'll forget your last name!". that's what my grandpa used to say. ..that's why when our server Royce brought back our credit card and was like "Tomomatsu?" my husband was like "who's that?" haha. despite the fact that this place is literally located in the back of the waikiki market, it's probably one of the best meals we have ever had. crazy that it wasn't that busy. royce was a total gem and was so nice to make several accommodations for me since i'm allergic to chicken (crazy, i know). he deserves a raise, for sure. the bartender was also so cool and enthusiastic to explain our cocktails to us. very unique and delicious offerings! food was a 100/10 and absolutely worth every penny. the quality of food at that price point puts all the other restaurants in waikiki to shame! read more

Had dinner here Thu 6/19. This is an amazing hidden gem in Waikiki! The food is amazing!! The best part of the meal was our server Bryan. As we were perusing the menu, we all agreed that we'd like to taste several of the dishes and my wife commented, "like family style?" Bryan responded to my wife's comment with confirmation, "that's a good idea!" As we selected the salad, entrees, and desserts we'd like, Bryan provided culinary descriptions of the ingredients and the dish which further increased our excitement for our meal. When the dishes arrived, each dish was presented beautifully. As we began eating each dish, all members of my dinner party had the same look of both surprise and satisfaction! This was a result of both the flavor of each dish but also the description Bryan shared of each dish when we placed our order. I highly recommend this restaurant!! Pics attached of all the dishes we ate. read more
This is a hidden gem in the Waikiki market on Kihio. Go upstairs and through the grocery store.... Stick to the far right side to enter the restaurant. The ambiance is retro sheik and love the food combos. Our daughter loved the keiki menu and was a little over $100 for the 3 of us. The drinks are beautiful and delicious!!! I had the liquid Haupia and my husband had the Habachi Rita! Sit in the booths by the window to get a great people watching spot while you wait for your food. read more

The service was wonderful. The two gentlemen were excellent. The food was delicious. We ordered the shrimp with wild rice was flavorful, the shrimp was plump and delicious. The beef tartare was tender and good, the crispy pork skin provided a god balance of soft and crisp bite. The spicy crab noodle had good texture and was so good, wasn't too spicy, but didn't have much crab. Bone marrow was very good and went will with the bread. The swordfish was great. read more

All I can say is - WOW! Some of the best service I've had in awhile. Everyone who helped us throughout the night was incredible. Bryan was our server and brought the best energy. He was so kind and genuine. Matthew (Matt) also was assisting Bryan and outstanding. Matt was so on top of it and wouldn't let a dirty plate sit for more than 10 seconds when you've been finished with it. Additional shoutouts to Angelina and Royce for being lovely as well. The food and drinks surpassed our expectations. Liquid Haupia: this was such a yummy drink, had all the coconutty goodness flavor without the heaviness. Spicy margarita: my dad considers himself a spicy margarita connoisseur and said this was delicious and perfect level of heat. Baby Gem Lettuce: I consider myself a Caesar salad expert and I was blown away with this salad. The tomatoes really do add a lovely complexity to this dish. Each leaf of lettuce was perfectly coated. Presentation was gorgeous. 'Olili Burger: my dad enjoyed the burger, it's not a traditional lettuce, tomato, onion type of burger but has really nice flavors. Chili crab noodles: so tasty! I do agree with others that the chili isn't a spicy chili but this dish has a beautiful combination of flavors. Ube mud bar: incredible!!! I want this dessert every night of my life. Must order. We had the loveliest experience here. It's not the easiest to just stumble upon but well worth going to. read more

Our time at Olili was fantastic. Despite its small spot at the corner of the supermarket, the food was amazing, and the service top-notch. Here's what we thought of the dishes: Baby gem salad: 4 out of 5 (loved the marinated tomatoes) Chili crab noodles: 3.5 out of 5 (wished it had a little less distinct aroma and a little more crab meat, would've preferred garlic shrimp forbidden rice if shrimp weren't already part of our lunch) Crispy kona capachi: 4.5 out of 5 (fish was cooked crispy on the outside and soft inside) We were pleasantly surprised with a Kilauea chocolate lava cake (5 out of 5) for our anniversary, a true highlight. The gesture of serving a menu item dessert for our celebration was appreciated, a step above the usual treats at other establishments. The staff was attentive-- inquiring about our preference regarding the order of the food menu, whether to start with appetizers first or have everything served together, explaining each dish and offering to take a photo. Having dined in many places, we can confidently say Olili is one of Oahu's best. For improvement, consider making your second-floor location more visible with a clear sign (e.g., see the store reception desk located on the 2nd floor). Consistency in food and service will keep customers coming back. Highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Service was excellent 5 stars. Food was good 4 to 4.5 stars. Parking is limited in the garage next door with validation, so 3 stars there. Being limited mobility, parking close to the restaurant a must. There was only 1 space in the garage remaining when we arrived. All staff was friendly, especially our waiter. I would suggest the chili dungeness crab noodles have a little kick to it since it's called "chili crab" noodles and not chilly crab. read more

So yes, you basically walk through what appears to be a grocery store to get in, but the food is really spectacular. We had the duck ravioli (small portion appetizer, but delicious) and chili crab noodles. Although the chili crab noodles didn't exactly bring back Clarke Quay vibes, they were a worthy substitute thousands of miles away and packed with flavour. The deserts all looked great and the Hawaiian cake was a good end meal. Thanks to the staff - they did great. read more

A lil tricky to find as it's tucked inside behind a market. Nice indoor seating with great views if you get a table by the window that overlooks the city! Decor was nice too!Definitely recommend trying items from the Happy Hour menu if you've never been here also because the HH options are tasty and different compared to other HH menu items at other places. Small bites like the duck croquettes, bone marrow and Chef's Inspiration (seasonal explorations) were all just so tasty and decently portioned along with some HH drinks that had a great balance of flavors... not to sour or sweet or strong in my opinion. By offering unique items on the HH menu it allowed us to get an idea of the quality and flavors of what the regular menu dishes would be like. My husband ordered the Chili Crab Noodles and I ordered the Crispy Kona Kanpachi. To be honest when read the description of the Kanpachi dish and saw it was in a Portuguese bean soup, I wasn't really feeling Portuguese bean soup at the moment. But when I looked at the pictures on Yelp/IG then I immediately changed my mind and got it and had absolutely no regrets. That dish was with the crispy skin and tender fish! I think our server's name was Bryan who was friendly, calm and patient and PROMPT! I easily get overwhelmed when a waiter or server speaks too fast or loud(even when it's quiet). Thanks to Bryan for all the recommendations!! And thank you to the mixologist that day and Olili all together for a memorable date experience of exploring a new spot. We will be returning for sure! read more

So my wife and stumbled across this place on accident while walking around looking for a place to eat. Let me tell you it was a happy accident. This place is not just a great place to eat, it was an overall great EXPERIENCE. We aren't shy of fancy dining while on vacation and this place tops every other place we have ever been in the 8 years we have been together. We got the Luau 3 course dining menu, and the salmon appetizer was to die for. The beef and stew that my wife had was phenomenal, and my chicken and long rice was delicious and not heavy. The pineapple upside down cake is one of the best I've had and the mud cake is a must have while there. Will absolutely make reservations to eat here again when we come back for our next Hawaiian vacation. Our server/ the bartender was Bryan, and he made the experience what it was. He had no issues explaining what we were eating and the drink pairings were spot on. 100% too notch employee. read more

Fantastic place. Tucked away INSIDE the new Waikiki Market on the second floor, this place is a gem for food, drink, and chillaxing. The folks here are super nice and a class act. Everyone is friendly, and service is excellent. We always sit at the bar, and it's just a nice, quiet, relaxing place. The cocktail menu is VERY good. Our usual bartender Max mixes drinks like a pro, and is very professional. The food menu certainly feels on par with Michelin star places. The bone marrow is so good and I wish I could get it in a huge bowl. The crab noodles with dungeness crab meat is worth the visit. Overall, I'm very impressed with this new restaurant. I would recommend going sooner than later because the word is spreading on how good their food is. Well done. read more

One of our most memorable and creative meals in Oahu! Set back on the top floor of the mall, it's an odd enough location, but happily hidden away from the hustle and bustle. Decor and aesthetic are modern and pleasing. Angelina, our server, was warm and friendly from the get, and gave us thorough descriptions and opinions about all our options and answered our questions cheerfully. We ordered: * BABY GEM SALAD // Enormous size, but wish there were more components. The cherry tomato "bombs" were memorable, though. * CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP // Astonishingly flavor-packed. Possibly the most satisfying thing on the table. * CHILI CRAB NOODLES // Extremely well-balanced, just spicy enough, and flecked with yummy Dungeness crab swimming in a streaky broth * CRISPY KONA KANPACHI // Deceptively hearty, we had a hard time finishing but not because of a lack of flavor. The Portuguese beans were very rich, and the fish was expertly cooked. For dessert, we had a chocolate lava cake that was doused in rum and set on fire at the table for the full effect. PARKING, however, is a nightmare. The restaurant will validate if you're lucky enough to find a spot at the Liliana parking lot, which we did, but it wasn't easy and we were 15 minutes late. Of course, the restaurant was gracious about it. read more

Wonderful!!!!! Just lovely! I had a fantastic dinner of small plates, everything was delicious. I ordered the clarified pina colada cocktail, which was so interesting and unique, really good. The small plates I ordered were bone marrow, the mushroom soup and the crudo. The bone marrow was delightful, rich and decadent but light and refreshing at the same time, with the pho toppings, love the herbs. The mushroom soup had such good umami flavor, so yummy and creamy, beautiful presentation. Finally the crudo was bright and delicious, so fresh and wonderful. The service was great, friendly and accommodating as well. Interesting that it's located inside of the Waikiki Market, but it was really cool and had a great vibe. read more
