It's kind of an unassuming entrance, but when you come inside, it's much bigger than it looks from the outside. I ordered the smallest thing that I could, and it took everything I had to finish it. Don't listen to what toast tab says - it will take longer than their estimate to get your carry out. We had a large carry out order for lots of kids and I will say everything is well packaged. I was wondering why the order seemed to take forever and then realized the packing job was A+++. For instance, a kids meal came in 2 boxes. One for the pancake and one for the fruit and meat. One of the kids has a cinnamon pancake and it was AWESOME. Portions are large and a kids meal could easily feed an adult. Staff wasn't overly friendly, but they weren't rude. My wife and I were on an extended eight hour layover at DFW. We had two choices, 1. Hang out in the Admirals lounge and chow down on cheese cubes and drink terrible coffee or 2. Catch an Uber and escape the airport madness and grab breakfast at one of Grapevines finest (and best known) eateries. This was an easy call as my wife and I decided on option 2. We arrived around 10:30 on a weekday morning. The dining room was quite busy, but we had no wait and were promptly seated. Before we knew it, we had hot coffee and ice water at our table and were given plenty of time to scan the extensive menu. It did not take me long to zero in on my selection as the migas were calling my name. The dish totally exceeded my expectations. It was will filled with delicious (and not greasy) chorizo, grilled onions and fresh tomato - topped with cheddar cheese. The migas were served with a side of refried beans and house made salsa along with your choice between flour and corn tortillas. I loved the migas to the very last bite. The service is outstanding, and coffee refills were plentiful. So if you're stuck over at DFW and are reading this - then get your butt up and head out to Old West. read more

Very tight parking - can be a challenge. Their website pro Ores a clearly western/cowboy metaphor and they follow this through to their menu names. It's schtick. Their food is good, and there's plenty of it. One knock on this very busy restaurant is that they've developed a design bottleneck at the tiny entry/exit. Expect to (politely) ask many, many people to get out of the doorway so you can either put your name on the list with the hostess (no rezs or call-ahead seating - just a word of warning), or to get out. It's hard to believe they passed a fire inspection at any point in their design. Okay, we had a party of six and we're seated quickly. Good hot coffee and tea was prompt, and maybe the only complaint I have here is that while we had a very good server, she was slow to check on us or (along with her helpers) to follow through on request for small things. For example, I asked for butter with my tortillas when I ordered, and again after the food came out, to no avail. Everything is oversized, so you also need to know there's not a table in the place large enough to rein in the size of their portion. It's a whole new experiment in plate tectonics to get everything to fit. In short, you'll get more than enough for your money, it will be tasty, but some items (like the endless choices for pancakes types) will leave you disappointed when you get them. Both the sausage and the chocolate chip contained an underwhelming amount of their namesake ingredient. A sprinkle of chips or sausage over a pair of pancakes the size of Saturns rings is just mailing it in read more

Food was amazing, cinnamon crunch french toast was unique and delicious! My husband and I shared the rustler and got the french toast as a premium side. The pancakes included in the rustler were HUGE. Too much for me and my husband to eat. Our son got the kids French toast and we asked for strawberries and whipped cream on the side for him and he loved it. Our daughter got an omelet and loved it as well. This looks like a local hotspot that tourists have found because it is very busy. Food quality was great and everything we saw looked homemade. We will definitely come back when we come back to Texas. Food 10/10, ambiance comfort of chairs booths 8/10, service 10/10. Bathroom (ladies) 1/10. Both were way over cooked. When cutting, the super crunchy over fried coating broke off and they were both tasteless. Mashed potatoes and cream gravy was good.
