Another TooGoodToGo order. I ordered the chicken and rice plate and it was delicious. The chicken was fall off the bone tender and the rice had a stiffer texture that I really like. It was easy to order from the app and the gentleman at checkout was helpful with the app as I am new to this. I look forward to coming back.

We had never tried food from this area so thought we would give it a try. We got the lamb and chicken kabsa and the kubbeh as our appetizer. The lamb and the chicken were really overcooked and the flavor was not very good. The rice was okay. The kubbeh was not good. Maybe it's me, but the flavor was just not good at all. I don't think we will come back.

Delicious schwarma sandwich wrap. It's huge!

What a treat. Nice new Syrian restaurant at Coit and Campbell (more on Campbell towards UTD). The menu is fault limited but covers all the Middle Eastern basics of hummus, stuffed grape leaves, kebabs, and Schwarma. Service was very eager and attentive. Process are very reasonable. My huge schwarma sandwich wrap was only around $10. Oh, and their mint tea was great!

Shish Tawook was the best thing we had. Lots of flavor and well cooked.

Stopped in on a whim and so glad we did. The Turkish coffee, cheese rolls, and shish tawook were so good. If I had to recommend one thing it would be the shish tawook. The man taking care of us was very kind as well. Will definitely be back.

good place to check out for their special rice dishes Old Damascus is located in a complex with other restaurants and shops. It has a lot of indoor seating. Servers were friendly. We ordered the mint lemonade, hibiscus lemonade, hummus, kibbeh, chicken kabsa, lamb Mandi, and falafel sandwich. I love trying out new types of drinks, and these were good. Mint lemonade could use a little more of something to get the perfect balance (maybe more mint?). The hibiscus one was nice too, but it could be too sweet for some people. Hummus was good, but I wish the pita bread served with it was a little warmed. Kibbeh had some crunch to to, with delicious meat, but I would prefer it with less dough around the edges. The mains were all great! Lamb was very tender; it fell off the bone. The Mandi rice was my favorite rice. Chicken was very moist and tender too, but I felt like the meat inside could use a little more flavor, but if you add a little of that dakhoos sauce they give with it, it perfects it. Kabsa rice was tasty as well, but it had a little heat in the aftertaste. We also got a cucumber mint yogurt sauce, which I loved! I loved the crunch of the falafel in the falafel wrap. Overall, I would definitely order the rice dishes and wrap again.

Service was great. Food was tasty but not unbelievable. Fine for neighborhood spot, but would not go out of my way. The inside decor was very nice.

We tried this place for dinner Saturday evening at 6pm and we were the only people there. We ordered hummus, falafel, chicken Shawarma sandwich, beef soujouck sandwich, chicken, kebab plate, and the beef kebab plate. Both the kebabs were very dry but the rice that came with it was very flavorful. Our favorite were the falafel.

Loved everything. The chicken, the hummus, the fattoush. The frozen mint lemonade is so good I'd go back just for that. 100% recommend.

No surprise that parking is more challenging now since there are quite a few businesses, but not a lot of space to maneuver or park. In fact, I almost got in an accident coming here! The Madina Halal Grill has expanded from a small hole in the wall, to two holes. LOL! It looks like the took over the area next door and connected them with a small doorway. What is great about this is that the initial room is great for placing your order, looking at the menu, chatting with the staff, paying, and waiting around for your food to come out. The next room over is great for finding a seat, relaxing, and eating without being jostled by people coming and going. Food was pretty good. I forgot to specify the bread wrap, so my sandwich was more like panini than a shawarma. My husband was less than enthralled. He wasn't a fan of the lamb mix, but that is to be expected as he didn't grow up with it and hasn't learned to acquire a taste for it. Staff are really friendly here. Food comes out quickly and remains hot on the way home.

The sauces are amazing - tzatziki, hummus, baba ghanoush, and more. I personally love the chicken cooked in a yogurt sauce, roasted cauliflower, and chickpea moussaka as my top standouts, but truly there are too many delicious things to name. I love how many chicken options there are as someone who isn't crazy about beef or pork. There is also falafel and plenty of beans for your vegan/ vegetarian friends. There were markers for allergies / preferences on the labels, but I didn't attend too closely as I don't have dietary restrictions. They have tasty rice pudding topped with pistachios and fresh fruit as something sweet to pair with your meal. I enjoy the lentil soup for dipping pita bread in. All you can eat buffets are always the best for getting to try everything and making everyone in your party happy.
