We live around this area so we frequent this place. It closed for a few weeks for renovations recently and I was devastated that I couldn't drop by for a quick bite or snack. Pro tip go early (like opening time) - they sell out of their popular pastries quickly. Everything we've had here is amazing - coffee, pastries, lunch and breakfast. Everyone who works there is helpful and kind. The space is beautiful - it's a great place to go whether you're wanting to enjoy a cup of coffee by yourself and read a book or grabbing a lunch with your coworkers. Breakfast croissant was delicious- simple, buttery and tasty. Every part of grilled chicken sandwich was delicious. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The bread is really fresh. I had this place bookmarked after seeing some social media videos, but unfortunately after my first visit, I wasn't that impressed. Their ordering process is a mess. The signage wasn't clear, as it said that for pastry orders, you should wait at the beginning of the line, and for food orders, you should process them directly at the counter. When I got there, there was a family ahead of me waiting to order pastries and since no one was at the counter, I proceeded there to quickly order my food. Turns out, that's not how it works. Instead, they want you to wait by the door for both which ultimately creates a long bottleneck. One person was helping with the pastry orders which slowed down the process even more. It would help if they had a better system or more staff handling pastries to keep things moving. As for the food, I ordered the Croque Madame (a Croque Monsieur with an egg added). It was pretty good. I liked the unique way they sliced and plated the sandwich. The fries, though, were not it. They were shoestring fries that were way too greasy. Overall, the food had some highlights, but the ordering process definitely took away from the experience. read more

I stopped by Oh Lala for a quick coffee break. The croissant was flaky and fresh, and the cortado was smooth and well-balanced. The only downside was the slightly long wait time. I had heard great things about this place on YouTube and decided to go with my husband . The Good: There was beautiful live Jazz music playing on Friday night. The vibes were there . The dark top is the burnt area of the dish. Sad that it wasn't good, we were looking forward to this dish . The mushroom stroganoff , was fun to eat , with large chewy delicious noodles . However , after having a few bites of salty steak frites dish, you could not taste any of the subtle seasoning this dish had to offer . The steak frites , the steak was very salty on some parts and other parts had no salt . The sauce was very salty. The frites were soggy and they were mostly lil broken pieces . The star of the show was the fried zucchini flowers . I don't have a picture of this dish because we devoured it . It came with a whipped burrata cheese dip that was beautifully balanced with lemony tang? Some balsamic vinegar and cherry tomatoes . Delicious . Sadly I had to give this place two stars because we were served burnt food & salty food . The ambience was amazing . Had I not ordered the burnt dish or the salty dish ? We visited this morning, and while our meals were very good and enjoyable, the service fell short. Our server was friendly, but she only stopped by our table three times : once to greet us, once to take our order, and once to drop off our drinks. After that, she disappeared. Our food took about 35 minutes to arrive, and we ultimately had to ask the hostess for our check. I understand the team was busy and a bit impacted, but a little communication would have gone a long way. I have been to this place 6 times and every single time they either bring the wrong item or don't bring anything at all. It is so unfortunate because the food is really good. I dropped by to pick up some baguettes for my best friend. I walked up to the bakery counter and waited for a long time. No one acknowledged me. I went up to the register and asked I should go to get some baked goods. The woman said we will be right with you, you're in the correct place. A couple of minutes later a worker who was carrying a broom and dustpan, asks me if I was picking up an order. I said no I wanted to but some bread. Pricey but delicious! I had been visiting this place periodically for years, back when it was Lovebirds Cafe. Fortunately, the overall vibe and menu options seem to be pretty similar to the previous restaurant. Staff were very friendly and delightful to interact with, and my order was made fresh and ready just a few minutes later. Breakfast Sandwich: 10/10 It's huge, totally worth adding avocado too. I personally thought all the dishes were underwhelming for the price and could use more seasoning or something to make the dishes taste better. Such a cute little hidden gem! We went for brunch on a Sunday and everything was delicious! You order at the counter then grab a seat and they bring everything to you. I've come here before and grabbed some pastries, but this was my first time sitting down and enjoying a meal here. The food came out promptly. My husband ordered the French toast and I ordered the Croque Monsieur. Both were wonderful! The line was long but it moved quickly.
