Today I asked if they had greeting cards, she proceeded to ask me if I meant " letters." I said sure and then she said "we don't have those but do you want letters or greeting cards" and I told her again "greeting cards." She specified "like a birthday card or what?" I said no, just blank, folded cardstock. She said they had cardstock and I told her I wanted greeting cards again. She then tells me "well you said letters so which do you want?" Come to find out they didn't even have greeting cards so I'm not sure if she's a pro rage baiter, but definitely not the face of the franchise for you there Staples on Elliot.

I was in search of the not-so-common these days business card holder sleeves and THEY HAD THAT. Even though it was not busy in there, they had a lots of employees available to assist. It appears they have back-to-school sales there with all kinds of supplies stocked for students. Which might be a better alternative if you don't like the crowds at places like Target and Walmart. I would say this is a place of convenience for office supplies that also carries some specific items that you may not find at other big box stores. The check-out option is only with a cashier and when the line started backing up, another clerk came over to help the queue.

However, there was a pandemic and apparently no one knew what was going on or if/when it might end. My passport has been expired for a while and I just needed to get the pictures to mail in with my application. I did another search and much to my surprise, Staples had it listed as offered services. I wandered in, the gentleman at the front greeted me as I went over to the print center and was then directed back to the initial gent who greeted me. I was stoked. He clicked quick and proceeded to help everyone who suddenly came in. I didn't mind, I saw the increase in activity and knew he was busy. He took, printed and cut my pictures down. Just under $20 for 2 passport pics, as I opted out of digital copies and whatever else they offer. Happy camper over here. Now I am keeping my fingers crossed that the pictures are accepted with my app. Gent apologized for the delay due to the increasing need of service by others. As I said, I saw it, so I wasn't upset but totally appreciate his acknowledging that things were a bit delayed. Productive visit. Would use the service again when needed.
