Well, it's conveniently located for me and provides some shipping and printing services I need, so there's that. The staff here are very nice but it looks like an exhausting and boring job. It feels like this place is dying. Every time you go, there's fewer options. There used to be a computer where you could log in and print. That's gone. You used to be able to email to the store and retrieve it with a code on the printer and pay there. Now you have to wait in line, email it to the store (you can do this ahead but you need the store email address), have them print it, and it comes to $3 for one sheet. They did add a self-service Amazon return machine, but the drop slot is too small for many boxes. read more

Came to drop off a Amazon return and I was in and out with a receipt in hand in less than 5 seconds. I had my package already ready to go and was greeted as soon as I walked in and was even told thank you and goodbye. Couldn't have asked for any better service. I will be coming back to this location in the future especially since it's the nearest one by where I live that isn't in a university unlike the other one that's a little closer to me. read more

Has what I'm looking for This location has it all, in store and online printing, document finishing, boxes for all your mail and packaging needs, packing supplies, shipping and helpful staff. My packages are always delivered on time and I never have to wait more than a few minutes for assistance. Today, I needed a fewv documents notarized and this UPS facility was able to accomdate my request. I was so glad I didn't have to.d4ive around looking for a notary. While I do not recommend UPS in general, I will say Jacob was incredibly kind and helpful during a package fiasco. When UPS claimed a package was undeliverable to a very much viable address they had already delivered packages to that day and throughout the week, Jacob was the only one who cared to help. The robot UPS has handling their whole call center gave false info about how to file a claim and who would need to? Repeatedly hung up when I pressed 0 to speak to a rep, and generally was a huge waste of time. Jacob on the other hand was clearly empathetic when I called very frustrated seeking help, and while he couldn't directly do a whole lot to help he offered a lot more than he really needed to and went above and beyond. Thank you Jacob! I hope you find an amazing career at a company worth of your customer service skills some day! read more

Have been here several times to ship out items. First time I purchased a box and they said they would package my item and send it out. It was never sent out and my item was "lost". After also paying $8 just for a box and tape. Customer service here is trash. They now have an Amazon kiosk for returns. Even when you are at the counter for something else they'll make you use the kiosk. These returns were also overflowing and just sitting on the counter available for anyone to simply take if they wanted. It's an area open to the public and anyone now has access to my address and item if they so choose. read more

I expected to pay for me to print out the label to return my item but not that much... if the carrier didn't choose for UPS return, I would have opted to go somewhere else. This store and their staff are crooks. I shipped a few packages, and "all were lost". They state now they are tracking packages. I think this business needs to be investigated by authorities! Store manager states the packages were picked up by UPS, how there is no scan indicating this! This location is a scam, they do not want to be responsible for packages! Customers be aware! We filed with the police a theft of property report, and are awaiting their investigation! Management there has been less then helpful. I have called and left several messages, with my contact details. I now have even filed with UPS to complain about this situation and to complain about this store! read more

I absolutely would not recommend going to this particular UPS store. They have become more and more difficult to deal with. Today the woman told me I needed to buy a $22 box in order to send back a pre-authorized Amazon shipment. She is completely unaware of how Amazon works, and should not be dealing with customers. Such an incredibly frustrating experience trying to simply send back a package. I took it to another UPS store and they immediately processed it with no problems and with no attempt to sell me a $22 box. I can't believe the way she try to rip me off. If you need to use a UPS store, there are a lot of them around, but absolutely avoid this one like the plague. They will try to rip you off and try to tell you things that you simply do not need. Edit after Manager Reply: Store owner just doesn't get it. His clerk tried to charge me $22 for a single cardboard box. In what universe is that anything other than a complete ripoff? The other UPS store handled the return professionally. I didn't even mention the incredibly negative experience at this location. Shipped a package out of this store a few weeks ago. Package arrived at its destination looking like they have a new delivery method where they simply drive by the correct address and shoot your package out of a cannon mounted on the back of the truck. There was literally a fist sized hole in the box and some of the contents had been lost. I realize that's not the stores fault but when I called to get something done about it they took my info and info for the recipient and said they'd get back to me. A week goes by with nothing so I call again and am told literally nothing has been done about my claim and that a "manager" will call me back that day. Guess what guys?! Two days later and I haven't heard from anybody. Feel free to use UPS but if something happens to your package it will be basically impossible to get them to do anything about it. I was waiting for a package delivery at my house and TWICE the driver said delivery was attempted but no one was home. This is verifiably false but I can't leave the driver a bad review and that's not the point of this review. I found out the package was at this UPS location and arrived at 4:02 pm RIGHT after the staff locked up. Obviously they wanted to lock up, flip me off and and point to the hours sign to show I'm clearly late (at least that's what I would want to do)! I explained the situation and they didn't even hesitate to let me in and grab my package. They didn't show any signs of being annoyed and because of this I can confidently say these people are far better than I. Thanks for the kindness and patience you good people of UPS Tempe! read more

I run a small business with a UPS account. We do a ton of shipping but not enough volume of UPS to justify weekly package pickup. This location is near my house so I typically drop packages off on my way home. Dealing with UPS as a whole has been a massive pain in the rear: we're never notified of an issue until a package is returned to us, our account executive vanished so we get zero support, deliveries may be attempted two instead of three times before they're held for pickup, trying to log into our account online results in a do-while loop regardless of device (so I can't change our return to address from three years ago even though our shipping software and labels show the correct info), and why are their stores not tied into their system to pull up account info?! You'd think a company that can track millions of shipments each day could figure out how to tie their stores into their broader system. I literally just had to fix a shipping label and made the mistake of assuming they could take care of it at the store. Not only could they not pull up our account, they quoted me $30 more than our negotiated rates. I was forced to log into our shipping portal from my phone, purchase a new label and email the store to be printed off. I could've driven to my shop, printed a label and been back quicker. read more

I am really tired of going into this store and being helped by the same very young man who is always so unhelpful. He is quick to assist, but rushes the customer. He never has any other advice but to call UPS since this store is just a contract store. Yes, it does say UPS on the front. He won't even look things up on the computer because "I see what you see". I've been having my packages shipped here because I keep my front gate locked now after an incident. The app said my package was there Friday and I went to pick it up and they said no they couldn't find it. They said come back Saturday so I went back Saturday and they still couldn't find it. Today the app says it was delivered today at 10:43 AM to the store so I went to pick it up this afternoon and they still couldn't find it. Now the app is saying the package has been refused and so they're returning it to the sender. What the hell is wrong with this place? Ps. 9/15/20-The seller has confirmed with me that they most definitely did not recall the package or ask for it to be returned to them. Which means somebody in the UPS system or the UPS store put return to sender on the package. I still have no idea why they would do that. read more

I was always satisfied with the service that this store provides until today. I print often at this location, and usually it costs me about 60 cents. I email them the label, and they print it. It's convenient, and efficient. Today they charged me $2.17 for one page that's one sided. Absolutely ridiculous. Different employees will charge you different prices, BEWARE. read more

The young guys who staff this location are above and beyond in my experience. I get a handful of packages delivered there each month and they work really hard to process the lines and get you out of there as fast as possible. I have dropped off several packages over the years and the guys help as well as possible. We all know the shipping companies are prone to troubles these days. It really helps when friendly and pleasant folks are at the store to help with what they can. Please try to put yourself in their position. They work in a small space with tons of boxes all over the place. They deal with a huge variety of people who range from bored and detached, to friendly and pleasant, to outright rude and jerk-face. I appreciate their hard work and am glad for this location. read more

I wanted notary service and the very unprofessional stuff denied the service because I don't had US ID. My Swiss passport was also not good enough to identify me too. Worse then my similar Walmart experience where I was one time and never again. I went to wells cargo on the same street, get a smile, coffee, nice chat an my notarised document. Free. I am only doing 1 star because I cannot do 0. I sent my grad schools project 4 days early via UPS store and had to do it with a "Guaranteed" 2 day delivery". Even though it was 4 days out. It still did not make the deadline. It flew to Louisville, which was 1,618 out of the way, and did not make it out on the truck on time for reasons that were "unexplainable". I could have drove to Ashland, OR from Phoenix, AZ and back, quicker than their "service". You owe me $5.000 for the classes I failed because of you. I came out from North Phoenix and picked up my son to have a Medical POA notarized for him before he was to have oral surgery. Went to two banks only to be told that they did not have a notary and the last one suggested this UPS Store. I was a by shocked by the $10 fee, but needed it done, so I gave the go ahead. Then I was told that I needed cash since the credit card system had been down. Not having any cash, they tried to run my card a few times, but it wasn't working. I suggested to the kid working there that it wasn't my fault that they couldn't accept payment and I didn't want to drive all over any more looking for a notary and asked if they could, as a courtesy, just notarize the document. After all, it takes all of five minutes to do it and they had about four or five people working there. He did not want to do it, so I asked to see the manager. The manager came out and I explained the situation and told him that I was trying to do business with them, it wasn't my fault that they couldn't accept payment, and it would only take a few minutes to notarize the document. He agreed and notarized the document and we were able to go on our way. They get five stars for taking care of the problem. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE went to this store to send a letter in-state. three employees, 2 of them sitting on the counter. told me I couldn't use a UPS envelope for in-state, have to buy an envelope from them. Employee sitting on back counter says "If you want us to use a UPS envelope we will have to charge you 6 times as much because those are for air overnight". The fact that there is no air overnight within the state escaped this employee as did the fact that every delivery in state is overnight ground with no upcharge. REALLY YOU WANT TO CHARGE ME $70 TO SEND A LETTER? Tell your employees to get off their butts and get with customer service. In the meantime I will be using USPS Priority mail for $5.90 a letter for great service. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I went in to have a document notarized and stated that I needed a few signatures on one larger document and was told that it would be 10 dollars and they would only accept cash and because it is Saturday... and they wouldn't be providing a receipt. I went out to my car and between random ones and change came up with 10 dollars. Started completing the forms and then just before singing all my pages, the store manager told me that even though it is one document, it would be 10 dollars PER Signature and unfortunately they couldn't make an exception to process my debit card. The whole process was inconvenient, shady, misleading, and the store manager was entirely unhelpful outside of offering an apology for the misunderstanding. If you want to potentially be misled, ripped off, have your time wasted etc. feel free to visit this store. For a better customer service experience... go ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

$5 to print six pages. Cheapest paper in the world. Not worth it. Let me say that it's not the employee's fault. They were nice and professional. But I only had half an hour and needed 6 pages of black and white printed off. In anticipation (and of coming here before a couple months ago), I had everything in my email, and was going to forward it to their email to get it printed off. But instead, they made me go to the computer and swipe my card. It is .30 per minute, and .30 per page. After fumbling around I finally was able to log in to my account, and taking into account of the load time for the pages, I was on there for five minutes, then I somehow printed off 8 useless pages. So $5.... So I asked to reprint. They showed me to the computer again and I swiped my card. Which no one explained to me not to do. Because they had planned to make me keep the first charge and have this new one for free. Since I didn't know this I was a lot faster and got away with a $2 charge and 6 pages instead of 8. But they're still billing me the $5. Overall, it was a horrible experience and I had 7 minutes to get in and out of the grocery store. What could have taken 4 minutes at most turned into a 20 minute ordeal. If it was nicer paper stock then I would have let it slide, but it's see through, and crinkles to the touch easily. Barely any box size choices and what they do have is expensive for what it is. Again, their customer service is fine, the policies and prices are terrible.
