I waited my turn and she immediately assisted me. See, here's the thing, she could have pointed to the Kiosk and told me to do it on my own (because it was that simple, since I already had a label). However, she came around the counter and walked me over and explained that my receipt would print out and scanned my envelope for me. She then proceeded to ask the next customer if they required any assistance. From what I could tell, she was on her own and likely had her job to do. She still took the time, with an incredible attitude to assist us, the customers. I felt she went above and beyond, especially considering it was all basically done and there was no official transaction being made at the store. I made it a point to check in, just so I could post this and commend her for a good job! Thank you!

They have an automatic sliding door at the entrance, which is great for when your hands are full or the store is crowded. The first time I went, there was a line, but the staff was great about checking in with people and moving things along. Printing is easy here and you can email it ahead of time, then release with a code. The staff members are always helpful and friendly. This is so much better than the UPS print/ship center.

I've always been able to send the files over my computer and generally speaking they would call me a couple of hours later and say that the job is done and come pick it up. That's worked really well for me. At this new location I bumped into people that I'm not seen before. Maybe the old regulars left. They were pretty good. Last week I tried to send a print job at about 3:30 in the afternoon. Their system kept telling me I'd have to pick the job up the next day which was no bueno since I'd be on a plane out of state with those manuals. I finally copied the file to a USB and drove up there to see if I could get it printed so it could go into my suitcase. One guy offered to help me while the other one was playing with his phone almost the entire time I was there because it was so slow. I told him I couldn't figure out why if they're not all that busy it was pushing my print job to the following day which would not work for me. He told me it was likely that their system at a certain point in the afternoon just pushed everything forward. They got it done for me but when I was paying my bill I noticed that they added a $35 priority fee that I've never seen the last 10 years. I put the manuals in my car and went back inside and ask about this fee. The guy who was playing with his phone stopped long enough to tell me it was because the job was done the same day, a rush job. That struck me as quite odd since there was almost no one in there the whole time I was waiting...and he was standing behind the counter playing with his phone the whole time. I said if you're going to tack on a $35 rush fee then you should let somebody know that before you print the job. His only question was 'well if we had told you would you still have needed the manuals?' I said of course And then ask myself WTF? I guess he thought he had bested me on the $35 fee that I had never heard of in over a decade of printing there. I miss the old regulars. Hope they're doing well out there someplace.

    Re: the Staples store on Elliot Rd close to I-10 at about noon a week ago: I ordered 2 rolls of…read moretape a week prior, and "Matt," the supposed manager, seemed as though "he was caught with his hand in the cookie job" when I went to the store to get the tape -- so in response he lied straight-face to me after he gave my paid-for tape to another customer. He did nothing but lie: when I really caught him was at the point that I asked him to look at the security footage to tell me who picked up the pay: HOWEVER the dead-giveaway was the fact that he would not invite me back to look which is customary when a customer's property (like myself0 had been stolen by another. Instead, he went back and spent a little time before he came out and gave his own "description" of someone that he thought I'd believe. What happened was probably that he made a mistake and wouldn't admit it. I told him that I'd go to the police, but I realized that this guy isn't long for management or anything else career-wise with what appears to be a lack of integrity. I'm a consumer watchdog and always willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but this one could easily have been pursued...I decided against it for now because he was pathetic and, after all, my only probably was tape. Besides, he gave a couple of rolls to me, and I lightned up the conversation before I left so that he'd feel better. "Kids" that are placed in management positions -- I'm speaking of untrained youth who cannot appreciate the need to see to the needs of customers rather than merely taking any job that will only pay the bills as long as these persons can merely pay their bills. Sad that they're out there stressing -- and lying -- to hard-working people. It's only a matter of time before his deceptions catch up to him -- I hope that he learned something about our encounter.
