As she was finalizing the address and other information for the item we shipped, I had the opportunity to take a look around. Updating my review just to say that this business continues to be efficient, affordable and excellent in their customer service! They are in my neighborhood, and I try to use them as often as I can. Today I needed to mail a package, wasn't in the neighborhood, and really wanted it to go out today. I stopped at the Postal Max up at Frank Lloyd wright and the 101 by Target. I was swiftly and sharply reminded that not every business cares about their customers like Shipping with Purpose does. I have used this shipping store many times, but had an issue that was not properly addressed by management. I mailed a FLAT RATE USPS envelope and was charged $15. When I spoke to the manager, he was insistent that this is the correct charge because they are not underwritten by tax dollars as the US Post Office is. This envelope costs $9.65 to mail. Flat rate. No difference according to weight or zip code. That means the "fee" was over $5 which is high, and not broken out on my receipt. I believe, contrary to what this manager told me, is that they treated my Flat Rate envelope like any envelope, weighed it, inputted the zip code and came up with the $15. I would not bring any USPS business to this establishment. read more

I hardly ever use shipping centers but had this enormous heavy package worth a lot of money that I didn't want to drag acr a parking lot. when at Shipping with Purpose, m and the mail attendant discovered the return label provided was murky. The attendant re-printed the label to no avail. Returning home I typed in the tracking number. Did I mention expensive? This and many additional searches brought nothing up! The next day, the owner contacted me, reassured me that there was a record of the package leaving the place with FedEx - now a FedEx problem. Then he said if I tried in a couple of day, the number would appear after FedEx reissued clearer label. He was right and I'm very grateful he stood behind me! It's hard to find in this day and age. This place is fine for shipping. I wouldn't use again to fax documents- their fax machine is very old and in need of replacement. They do not appear to understand how to notarize documents either, and their notary stamp is expired. I wouldn't use them again for that purpose. read more

Copiers are outdated but work great for a quick copy, just not a big job- no color either. They have mailbox rentals and also sell greeting cards. This place is located in a strip mall around the corner from the Walgreens & Bank of America. Ample immediate parking. When you walk in you see a panel of mailboxes to rent on one side and a somewhat sparse selection of envelopes, mailers, and greeting cards on the There was a customer in front of me who was mailing care packages to her sons away at summer camp. That took quite a bit of time. The folks were going to pack & ship the boxes apparently. When it was my turn I had a 4 page fax to California (cover page is free), a bunch of family photos to a friend, and a special letter. It took several minutes to get everything sorted out but eventually the fax got sent and the letters got addressed and finished. The lady seemed to know what she was doing. The man seemed to be following her instructions. All in all i thought my stuff got handled and I left satisfied. This review has nothing to do with their shipping as it does with their packing. My advice,DO IT YOURSELF! I brought a gift to them to be packed. Because of the shape, it was best suited for a tubular roll for which they charged me (FYI:PO has them for free). An older gentleman packed while his wife entered the shipping information into the system. I could see he was struggling with securing the ends but I figured he would tape it enough so that the plastic ends didn't open. Well, my sister got the tube today and all that was in there was the card. One of the plastic ends was missing and no gift. I called to complain and the gentleman tried to suggest someone opened it and stole the gift but offered to file a claim. Is that for the gift, tube, and shipping costs? Horrible customer service!! I called to speak with the owner and a young gentleman answered saying he was the manager. I expressed to him my concern for not having "Fragile" stickers for shipping. He explained that he was not responsible for those stickers and to purchase some at Staples. He said they make no money off sending packages when you prepay online. This place is where we get our Scottsdale mail. There isn't a lot. We have been using this office for several years but that mostly means getting our books from Amazon. There is fax service when I need it and I have used this office for overnight service with UPS and FedEx. I find the staff, including the owner, to be friendly and helpful. read more
