This is my favorite US Post Office location in Scottsdale. After too many instances of standing in line for 30+ minutes at the Scottsdale Airpark location, I have decided to make this my Post Office of choice, even though it's further from my house. I popped in again to mail a few books out again had wonderful customer service by Erik who went above and beyond to make things easy. I showed up around 11:30 on a Saturday and there was only one person online so I was in and out in just a few minutes. I super appreciate the media discount for shipping books! read more

This is a highly popular location - newer and spacious. There were about 15 people in line, with three cashier stations open. All the agents were efficient and moved quickly. I was a little worried about the agent who waited on me - he seemed a little tense with a previous customer but when I greeted him with a smile and an efficiently worded request , he could not have been nicer! Beware of the lady with the long hair who thinks she's too good to wear a uniform. She usually just handles mail pickups. She should stay in her lane, as she has given me bad advice, quite rudely, twice in December 2025. Last week, I needed to know if my postage on an envelope was sufficient, and I asked her to weigh it on the scale that was directly in front of her. She refused, and instead, held it in her hand and said one stamp felt fine to her. I thought that was odd, so I weighed it myself at the self-service station (which I should have done to begin with). The envelope exceeded one ounce. This was essential, as I had 399 more identical envelopes, as they were my holiday cards. Today, I attempted to drop off an expressmail envelope (usps flat rate). She refused to take it on December 9 because my label creation date was December 8, even though the send date was clearly December 9. She thinks you literally have to print the label the same day you send it, even if you intentionally put the correct send date on the label. So I drove out of my way to control my temper with a purported know-it-all who needs to stop being rude and start thinking about what she's doing. I took the envelope to a UPS Store postal dropoff and they happily accepted it. Life is too short to deal with people like this. Generally it's good here but this morning there is a line. The internet is down so only cash. The problem is one of the employees is behind the counter shouting at us that we can only use cash. So customers approach her with cash and she yells at them telling them she's not a clerk. It's a very unpleasant situation. read more

Disgusted! They deliver an empty box and they do not know where the contents are. My mail, if it arrives at all (it's been three days since I got any mail) is often not mine. I have to hunt down the address to deliver the mail. Mail NEVER arrives before 5 or sometimes 6 or later in the evening. Totally fed up. read more

I was in the area and needed to drop off some of my packages for my eBay business. They're very rude at this location and the lines are actually insane. I don't know what the hype is. I'll stick to my favorite Queen Creek location and the drop off boxes instead of this location. read more

The post office on Via de Ventura is the best one in town. Organized. Friendly. I go out of my way to use this post office.

I'm not sure why so many reviews are so negative. This post office was great. Right at 9am, they had a huge line that was moving quickly. Every employee was kind to each person apologizing for the wait and appeared to be very helpful. I was sending a packing to my husband overseas and was very confused on which customs form to use and took a very long time to sort it all out. i CAN'T BELIEVE I AM WRITING A 5 STAR REVIEW OF THE POST OFFICE. The HOPI station just did the impossible. They retrieved a package we could not remove from our mail box..and delivered it to the house. The lady at the station (Demetrie:--husband couldn't quite get her name) said she would call the carrier and have him get the package and hand deliver it to us..and IT HAPPENED. Worst Office I have ever been to. Ordered a package from Amazon to get delivered on 8-16, got a notice the package couldn't be delivered. Was offered a redelivery option, rescheduled it for 8-19. Never got my package. It's now 8-30, so I go in to the office for them to say they can not find it and it will be sent back to deliver if found. What a joke. No communication that it needed to be picked up or anything! Worst customer service I've had in a while. read more

My honest thoughts on the USPS as a whole - How do they still even exist??? Post covid, they are understaffed & completely unreliable.

I've called this location six times today and the line just rings and rings and rings. No one answers the phone.

These guys are the absolute worst. It doesn't matter if I drop a package off in a bin or hand directly to a person, sometimes it takes up to three days to scan the shipment and send out. THREE DAYS. Totally unacceptable. Yes, I am fully aware that a shipment can go out without getting scanned into the system. I am talking about packages that sit there for days before their scanned/shipped. In addition to this any packages sent through a shipping center close to this post office will also not get scanned in a timely manner because they are processed through here. So please be wary shipping here, especially your Poshmark packages as your seller rating will get dinged because of this. read more

This is the second time in the past couple of weeks that I have attempted to call the Hopi Post Office concerning a package that was tracked as delivered but actually was not. As usual, nobody answered the phone at the direct line. Nobody ever does! Nobody ever has in the 20 years since I've lived here! I asked the manager about this in person recently and he said that sometimes he's too busy to answer the phone. That's no excuse for no one EVER answering the phone and there is not even an option to leave a message; you are just disconnected after it rings for several minutes. I came here on two accounts in the past week to pick up some packages that were not dropped off at my mailbox due to covid restrictions. I've been having to do this for a couple months now but I live only a few miles away so it's a non-issue. The first time I could not find parking and the line was out the door, so I figured I'd try another day. The next day I came by and still no parking, so I parked across the street and walked over. The line was still out the door but I decided to wait. Once I got to the front I let them know I was picking up packages (I know they have something for me due to a slip they leave in my mailbox) and showed them my ID for address. He goes to look in the back and comes back in approx 1 minute letting me know there's nothing there and if I have a tracking number that would be easier to find. How can I provide a tracking number when I don't even know where this package is coming from? We wait there similarly to a stand off. I don't want to leave without a second look for my packages but he doesn't want to go back there. Finally, he gives in and takes a second look and surprise not so much of a surprise - there's two packages waiting for me. A little frustrating to say the least...if I had not stood my ground I would've had to come back yet again. That's poor customer service in my book. I kept this review at three stars because I've had good experiences with this location in the past with picking up my mail. This location is the reason why the USPS is starting to get a bad name. We run our business mail through here and I don't know what they can do to put a smile on these people's faces, but the people who work here treat the customer as if they are bothering pests. These employees need customer service training! Plus, whoever manages this place needs to tighten their oversight and work on scheduling staff appropriately... I needed to get a money order and send it out for something I purchased online. Since I rarely use money orders, I had no idea where to go. Luckily, someone in the office told me to go to a post office, which was perfect because this one is conveniently located nearby. I waited in a short line, which seemed to take forever. The postal workers at the window were not very friendly and were slow in getting the transactions completed. The USPS has really went downhill....I remember when I was a kid, they were friendly and fast and proud to be a USPS worker. Now, it seems like they hate their job. I mean no offense and am 100% seriously wondering if there is a reason that not only is there absolutely no sense of urgency but it seems the tellers actually put forth effort to be as slow as possible. They move slow, talk slow, walk slow, type slow, everything is just so slow and I'm very curious as to why. Is there a reason this P.O. has no sense of urgency? I just don't see what the benefit to this is. Are they trying to promote relaxation or something? It causes distress and anxiety and something as simple as dropping off a letter or package should not be something you despise doing if it has anything to do with this P.O. Please offer perspective. I had to mail off my computer to get repaired and the old hag who "helped" me was complaining that my box had no tape or a label, well when I'm sending this priority mail, I have to stick a priority mail label and Ive had packages with priority mail tape before, so why the attitude. After reading other complaints, I realize there is no point complaining to them about the two packages I've lost in the past week. Hello folks.90 yr. old Senior ripped off by Hopi Branch, Via Ventura USPS.....On March 31st,21 went to my PO Box that i've been renting since 1989, and it was locked, no more than 15 minutes after 5PM......what a rush to repossess their or my box......April 1st. was told I no longer owned that box, and was given a new elongated rental agreement, as their was no record of my rental since 1989.....and no record of anyone else owning or renting my box.......gets confusing, doesn't it........I was then charged a new key fee, plus the rental of the....box fee, and a late charge. does this sound familiar.....The rental of the Box fee was in excess of the regular fee, which the signage in the lobby was lower, than their new charge.......the receipt indicates the higher charge......their response was the box rental fee had gone up in January, however there lobby fee chart indicated the lesser normal fee......in addition, I refuse to believe that they would exploit Covid 19, even inadvertently, . when I was in quarantine, during the high surge period in our state........Shouldn't our USPS have the highest standard in patron and customer interaction........Is it possible that this type of treatment, isn't protected by our 4th amendment, preventing, invasion, or confiscation of our property without due process....I regard our Post Office as a haven of safety for our mail,. after all isn't this one of the reason we rent and pay for P.O. Boxes... anyone care to comment?????..... read more

I have had to use this Post Office several times because I had no other choice and it was the closest one. And let me tell you every time I come in here I wish I could yes run out here as fast as I can. It is always at least an hour to an hour and a 1/2 of my time to do a very simple thing that should really only take 5 minutes or less. The people who work here seem to think that time stand still for everybody else on the planet except for them. I wish the people who work at this Post Office would consider that everybody is busy and everybody had better things to do than to wait an hour and a 1/2 to do a simple thing at the Post Office. The mail delivery out of this post office is the worst!!! Moved to a home in delivery area and cannot get mail. Mailbox key from previous owner opens box but letter carrier and supervisor, Rachel, insist it is not the mailbox for our house number! If not then why does the key work and former resident of 20 disagree? Rachel, supervisor, said have to bring contract showing we live at address and pay them $40! Also, when waited for 15 minutes at post office to speak to Rachel, she gave me a piece of paper to write issue on and she left because "had work to do". Isn't getting residents their mail her job? Horrible customer service this place needs to be shut down. The staff is always rude and the lines are always long.

Need more employees. One employee plus one trainee. When a complex issue arose, line didn't move for half an hour.

Easy access off the freeway which made my mailing a breeze. It's nice that you can come in to do automated mailing even when the post office is actually closed. read more

They get it right occasionally...seems like lately the either forget to hold so my mail box is running over... or forget to deliver. I work in the Scottsdale Airpark area and often I am going door to door giving everyone else their mail and they are often coming into my office to bring me mine. It's getting out of control. Monday, I received notification my package was delivered, I was confused since I assumed it was too big for my mailbox so I went to check there and the other offices near me. But, it wasn't anywhere to be found. So Tuesday I patiently waited for my guy to drive by so I could go ask him where it was. His response was "I don't know I was off yesterday". Well that's not very helpful since the box contains medicine I spent over $100 on and I didn't have the option for insurance. Later that day some guy walked in with my box. I was overjoyed to say the least. When I asked him where my package got delivered, he said Costco. Seriously? Costco?!?! Good thing it wasn't delivered to Sam's Club or I never would have gotten my package. Kudos to the Costco worker who came all the way over to my office on his lunch break to bring it to me. Booooo to the USPS carriers who ONCE AGAIN screwed up. You guys are getting out of hand. read more

This is solely for the clerk named Linda. She should be put in the back sorting mail and not out front "helping" customers because she is certainly lacking in customer service skills. She yells at, snaps at and disrespect customers. When one complains she goes in complete denial and victim blames. She one of those that feel she untouchable because she a government employee with seniority so she can treat someone like dirt and feels she can get away with it. Linda was a very angry and sad person to me. Maybe I just caught her on her bad day but whatever the reason she should treat customers with good customer service not make them cry!
