I came to this location after the non existence service by the cashier at the Ala Moana Blvd. location. I explained to one of the staff at this Kalihi location. She said one does not need to reorganize the folders since one is just scanning. She was helpful and got some more plastic folders for me from the back. Items are arranged differently at this location but the service is 100% better. It was just a bit disappointing one of the items I had at the other location was sold out. I even went on line and typed in a chat box about my experience at the Ala Moana location and was waiting for more than 30 minutes in the que before I was first in line then I was sent a message no agent is available and was cut off......So the cashier at the Ala Moana location was deliberately not ringing up my items. She made up the excuse that she has to rearrange the folders and needed my permission before proceeding. The cashier at the Dillingham - Kalihi location just scanned the folders. So looks like buyer or customer beware. read more

If I could this would be a BEGATIVE ONE STAR RATING! OMG...all we had to do was make copies! The initial welcome was ok then my daughter went to the copy machine. First off something was wrong with the credit card machine...it kept kicking back the card. Finally it took the card after 5 minutes. Our issue was that the representative that was next to us behind the counter saw my daughter having issues! Not once did she ask if my daughter needed help! Then I went over to see what was wrong and again the rep didnt ask if we needed help! Let me say this before anyone chimes in on this...its called CUSTOMER SERVICE! When any employee sees a customer they need to ask if they need help with anything! This rep didn't! And to top it off the rep had the damn nerve to tell me that we should've asked for help! WTH!!!! That's what pissed my daughter off! Then when I had to ask the rep for help that was a whole new level of horrible customer service! Once I explained the issue to the rep she stood behind the counter and tried to tell me how to work the machine INSTEAD of coming out to help us! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Then when my daughter told her that she wanted a refund because it didnt print correctly the rep told her to close out the transaction WITHOUT explaining the transaction! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! So I had to jump in because my daughter was beyond irritated! So I told her about customer service and she got a little sarcastic in her reply. Of course I said I'm letting you know that we are not happy with your service! Then the manager came by. So the manager tried to explain that sometimes when they are busy they cant come over to help! I took in a poster and asked the employee to cut one inch off each side, instead he cut off the entire white border (two inches) ruining the poster. He offered to make it up to me by making me a new one by scanning the poster, but the color quality did not mach the original. I asked them to reimburse me for the poster with store credit and they refused. Very disappointing. read more

Placed a print order online and it was perfect. I had a lot of files. But my job was ready by the next day. But watch out they keep snack all around the front. I ended with a few bags of goodies when I didn't need it. My favorite person in the print department is Meliza. Very helpful and nice. read more

Both team member at the print out machine and the manager on staff were unprofessional. Claim they couldn't do our print out as well. Everything we asked for was instead done excellently at the Kapolei location and she went the extra mile . Head Quarters was unprofessional as well when we called to send in our complaint. Star rating is for actually still being in business for your consistent overall poor customer service. Should be zer0 star for overall unprofessional services. Fire current crew or layoff until proper etiquette training and hire people that are fitting for the specific positions. May be transfer some of your stronger staff and or utilize them to retrain proper etiquette to your Honolulu Dillingham team. read more

Customer service here sucks! For one, they're super slow. And, two, they're also rude. I should have read the review from yesterday. My husband and I came here for their shipping services on our way from doing other errands. There was no one in line, but me, however there was no one at the counter. I noticed that two associates were at the cash registers and another two were just talking to each other in the electronics aisle right next to the shipping services area. I was standing there for a good 10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Then, a guy who looked like he was the manager or at least he seemed like the one calling the shots on the floor because he walked around, noticed me waiting and went on his headset to call someone to help me, but neither acknowledged me nor offered to help me himself. One of the ladies who was on register, leisurely walked over to the adjacent counter and asked what I needed. I told Meliza (name on tag) that I needed things to be shipped. Then, she asked if it was through USPS or UPS and I told her whichever one is cheaper. She directed me to the boxes in the back because she noticed I didn't have one. Strange, I thought, that they didn't have boxes on hand behind the counter, but I proceeded to the back of the store to pick out a box anyway. It was kind of inconvenient because it was out of the way and if there was a line, I would have lost my place. On my way, my husband was returning from using the restroom and I told him that they didn't have boxes at the counter. He took the items to be shipped from me and said to meet him at the counter once I had the box. When I met him, he was talking to the same lady that I had spoken to earlier so I figured he started the process. But, I was wrong. He told me the lady didn't seem to be understanding him. All he wanted was to know was which carrier was cheaper to ship. So, I explained it to her again and asked if she could weigh it to give us an estimate for how much it would cost. With no explanation, she just pointed to the computer screen and told us to complete the information. Before I could ask her for clarification as to why we needed to do this, she proceeded to help another guest who seemed like a friend or a regular there because they were chatting it up and completely ignored us. In the meantime, we finished the form, but now had to wait because Meliza was now in the middle of helping that other customer. We were waiting for a good 15 minutes before she came back to help us all the while the other associate was just standing in the distance watching us wait for her with, again, no acknowledgement. Meliza asked the other associate for help with something that she couldn't do for the other customer. Then after about 5 mins. Meliza realized she was no longer needed there and that she still had us to finish servicing. So she just took our box without saying anything and put it on the scale while the other associate finished with the other customer. Then, Meliza pulled up another page on the computer screen and showed us the price comparisons for the different carriers without saying anything to us. I guess she expected us to choose one? She could've explained to us the process or at least acknowledged us, but I have a feeling that this location doesn't care much about its customers because they take their sweet time to offer any kind of help and once they're with you, they have the nerve to tell us that we should have come prepared before we reached the counter. How were we supposed to know that this location was drop off & pay only. It says shipping services! One would think they'd handle all aspects of shipping, including having boxes and packaging tape nearby or behind the counter like any other location or, at the very least, have a sign explaining their policies. The atmosphere just felt like the workers there were not happy and they were just there to collect their check. read more

The male assistant manager and another older female clerk was whispering by the printer but it was so obvious they were talking about my transaction because the female clerk kept giving me side eye glances over her glasses. It is not only rude but unprofessional. Apparently they decided my printouts (birthday party goody bag tags) that was customed designed was copyrighted. Am I selling these tags with my son's name on it?! Seriously. No one said thank you when I stood in line to wait for my turn and no one said thank you as I paid. I needed to ship something and arrived on a not so busy Tuesday night. There were four employees behind the counter. One was doing the work, and the other three were watching him do it. After waiting for about ten minutes, another employee who had been stocking shelves took pity on me and processed my shipping order. If you need printing done fast and urgent, and want great customer service, DO NOT come here. Last week I came in thinking I could get some help. I was absolutely wrong. I needed to print 80 pages of directions for my wedding invitations. When I made a sample copy at the library, it didn't come out the way I wanted it to. So I decided to come to Office Depot, thinking they would help me solve my problem. (And if any brides out there doing their wedding on their own know how stressful it is) So me wanting to catch a little break, I get there only to leave empty handed. Apparently there was a big job a head of me, and they told me "I cant stop what we're doing just for you, we have people ahead of you" RUDE! I get that, but I am a paying customer too. I here now, I know there must have been an alternative, but they just treated me as if I wasn't worth their service. I was very disappointing because this was was also coming from the manager. I Know It's Kalihi......Dont be afraid LOL With the abundance of chronics and homeless people around this area, an average person would pass this location up in a heartbeat. They're hardly a bother though. Haha. I guess recently, this location was completely renovated. Its not the same Office Depot i remember buying school supplies from when i was in school. They have it really brightly lit and organized. Even the staff seems a lot more helpful and happy to be working there. The more modern Office Depot is welcoming & a lot easier to find the things i need. I usually come here for their sales on blank DVDS. (because i DONT make my own movies) LOL. Every week they seem to have the cheapest out of all the other stores like Office Max & Radio Shack. Plus It's close to home. 4 stars to the new renovations ;) read more

I've been a customer of this Office Depot location for 10+ years. I haven't had one bad experience here. As soon as I walk through the door I'm greeted. The employees are very kind and approachable. They're more than happy to assist me in finding supplies that I need. If I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, I just describe what I need it for and how it looks then they help me find it. The employees talk with me to make sure I'm finding everything I need. I really like that. I mostly go here now to print stuff. It's $0.10/page for a black and white copy. I think it's $0.50/page for a color copy. I'm not too sure. The only bad thing is when there's a long line of elderly people. I mean that in no disrespect. They tend to hold up the line with their stories. It sucks when I'm in a rush but other than that, the customer service is great! The prices aren't the cheapest but it's good. Also, they sell cute little pepper spray bottles that can fit in most purses. It could come in handy one day. I recommend going here. It's always a pleasant experience for me. They take forever to answer the phone, if they do... I've called them at the Kalihi Store, and even the Kakaako Store and they NEVER answer!!!! and when they finally do after 10 calls, and 25 rings (yes, I'm the idiot who calls them that many times and that many rings), it's not like they are sympathetic for having it ring so many times. No matter what time of day I call, they just don't answer. Anyway, when they finally do, they put me on hold for how ever long too. I guess it's best to waste my gas and go there in person, and to find out they are out of the product! I'm a loyal Fisher Hawaii customer, mostly because I get some sort of perverse pleasure out of the maze of dusty office supplies at their Cooke St. location. However, occasionally you just want to go to a clean, well-organized office supply store that has made its way into the 21st century. This is where Office Depot comes in. The Dillingham Office Depot store is a mid-sized location, but it has all the basics you might need. Stuff is easy to find, prices are competitive, parking is easy, and when I have gone there in the past, there has never been too long of a line to check out. And, bonus: they're an authorized UPS shipping location, so you can drop off packages that are too big for UPS drop boxes. Hurrah! read more

Bought an office chair yesterday and took it home. When we opened the box there was a huge gash on the top of the chair. We exchanged it today. The two guys transporting the chairs for us were extremely friendly and helpful (the chair weighs something like 70lbs). The 3 star review is for the cashier. Not friendly at all, and while we were waiting to deal with the financial part of the transaction she skipped over us twice because she was "waiting for the chair", even though they had already taken it to the car. She rolled her eyes and made sure we knew how annoying we were during the rest of the transaction. Other than that, the store is disorganized and unattractive. I do not plan on returning. read more

Ample amount of parking, the area is part industrial and off the main road of Dillingham. It's near savers and some type of Ross (not the normal Ross you may be thinking of). This location is a little out of the way and there were a few interesting characters outside. But I did find some items I needed and I was helped by a man that was super soft spoken but he was nice. The lady at the register asked if I had a rewards card. I said no I don't. I inquired about it since it sparked my curiosity. Meliza, who was working in printing, faxing, and scanning, was very unprofessional, impatient and seemed like she didn't want to do her job. We asked her if she could create a photo collage for us, which they were able to do for us 2 years ago, and she gave us a dirty look like she didn't want to do it and then proceeded and said "okay". We gave her the photos that we wanted to print but wanted to change one of them last minute. She gave us an even dirty look after a long pause said "uh okay". After that second dirty look we decided to leave and take our business somewhere else. We won't be coming back, and we definitely don't recommend people coming here for printing, or facing. Just go to Kinkos. Or print at Costco or Walmart. read more

I popped into Office Depot because I had to quickly print ONE copy of something I needed. It was a last minute thing, and I only had a copy in my email, and not on a flash drive. The man behind the desk informed me policy changed, customers couldn't use computers anymore, to please send the email to a company email and they'd print it from there. Cool. That's what I did. Turns out only one computer could be used to retrieve my email, being used by another customer (though he looked like an off duty employee with his clothing). I waited a total of 54 MINUTES behind one customer, just to print one stinking sheet of paper. The entire time, no one apologized, or filled me in on what was going on. I wasted a valuable hour to my day. Employees stared at me waiting with no explanation. Bad customer service and now I'm totally turned off to Office Depot locations. read more

They messed up on my pick up as they held a silver mouse for me after asking which one I wanted ( red or black). I went ahead and bought it as I wasn't about to make an issue about mouse color. But when I went to the mouse section they actually had more colors including black, red and blue. What the heck? Otherwise, their customer service is okay and they did have the sale item in stock. I have absolutely NO IDEA why people rate this location with anything less than 5!!! My experience has ALWAYS been GREAT! The staff is amazing and so patient! I'm not always rushing so I always tell the staff to go ahead and finish up with their customer first before helping me. i've been in a quite a few times and i've heard other customers being COMPLETELY RUDE AND OUT OF LINE to the workers and i just feel awful!! I am always greeted with smiles and offered help several times even if i'm just browsing about. I never feel rushed or pressured to buy anything like other stores. the other locations have workers that are so obviously not interested in you or if you're even a customer but the workers at dillingham always are nice and pleasant! (which is astonishing considering the people that i've witnessed some of these workers have to deal with! YEESH! like HELLO PEOPLE?? WHERE ARE YOUR MANNERS??) Story below!! the other day i was in the store getting some printing done at their self serve machines. the girl at the counter is always nice and offers to help but i almost never need to since i've been in a few times. i overheard the girl speaking to a customer and explaining to this woman the process for printing out an email(send it and tell them how to print it. easy right?) i'm not too sure what the issue was but all of a sudden i heard the woman yell at the girl!!! "HELLO ARE YOU GONNA HELP ME?? WHERES YOUR SERVICE? IM NOT F*****NG DUMB" so on and so forth. Here I stand in line. Here I witness in line really really grumpy customer service done with a frown. Wonderful. I'm normally a pretty easy person to please (I feel that I need to say this every time I give an establishment 1 star). This is the 2nd time I've been incredibly disappointed in the place, not to mention incredibly frustrated. I put in an online order to print out some pages that needed to be color printed (wedding preparation never ends, I tell ya that much). Ordered it two days before, got a confirmation the following day saying the order has been completed, go in the next day to pick it up. Wait in line. Get forwarded to the another area (despite the sign that says to pick up your online prints "here" sign, do not listen to it). Lady forwarding me there is not very friendly, ugh. Waiting in line behind a guy that is ordering and who is trying to make small talk with the employee, he is met with a grumpy face and forced answer. Seems like she dislikes her job; it was kind of showing. Oh joy, he finally is done with his lamination job, and it is my turn. Oh boy, oh boy. I am a little irritated already since the wait has been pretty long and there's so much grumpiness here! Optimistically, I shove those thoughts to the side and try to remain calm and unphased. I say, "I'm here to pick up an order, my name is afjdlafjdljfakdjfa alkdfjakldjfladjf." She asks, "What did you order?" I state the order, and she asks "What does it look like?" I describe it to her. After what seems like a semi-interrogation of never-ending questions, she finally starts to rummage through orders. It doesn't seem like they keep their finished orders in one area, she starts to look around. DEJA VU, I TELL YOU. The feeling of dread overwhelms me again as I start to remember my past experience of fail here (see below). She starts to ask me when I placed my order, I tell her when I placed it along with when I got the confirmation email stating that the job was completed. She scans through her computer, she continues to tell me that I placed the order just the day before. No, no, no. That is incorrect. She insists... I have no real reason to lie, I had the email and everything right in front of me. Frustrating. She finally ends up telling me it hasn't been printed. WUT. I took a special trip to grab it. Urgh. BUT, I will say that she said she would print it out right then and there. Somewhere between getting ready to reprint my job and wrapping up looking at the computer for the failed order, she's like "Oh, I found it." Geesh, way to take me on a emotional rollercoaster. Meanwhile, the line is growing behind me. Feel bad for them, man. While they found my order this time, they had previously messed up a time sensitive photo prints this past March. By messing up, I mean, the file they received was unable to print, and instead of calling me or emailing me (since my contacts were provided on the order) they just waited for me to get there several days later in person to receive my NON EXISTENT ORDER that was confirmed as "completed". And, to top it off I had to resend them the file, and they said they would have it completed in an hour or two... Yeah. Frustrating. I wasn't gonna wait around for that. This place is... So painful. Prepare for some disappointment and lots of waiting. I'm hoping they'll at least step up their customer service game. I mean, I know it's hard to be happy all the time, but at least don't be rude! The next time I need things printed, I will NOT be coming back here again. read more

So I'm waiting outside of the store on a Saturday morning with a handful of other people for the store to open. So their office hours say 9:00 am - 9:00 pm. It's 9:03 am and we could all see employees walking around inside of the store. Someone approached the door, grabs a piece of paper near the door and walks away. By now, everyone is anxious and is wondering why the guy didn't open the door when it's past 9:00 am. So a minute or two later, someone who looks like he just got out of bed opens the door and doesn't acknowledge ANYONE. No "Thanks for your patience" or "Sorry for the wait" not even a "Good Morning." The whole waiting game and the obvious lack of good customer service totally turned me off and I was inclined to just not shop there but I really needed index cards. I went straight to the index cards and went to pay. There were already a couple of people in line, so I guess there were others who knew what they needed and wanted to get in and out. So apparently, they don't only make you wait for a long time outside of the store, but they make you wait in line at the cashier for a long time as well. There was only one open cash register and I saw a couple of other employees walking around but no one jumped in to help the only cashier working the line. Again, I got to the cashier and he didn't acknowledge me at all, just gave me my total. Hmph! No Office Depot Dillingham, I will not become one of your regular customers! read more

The worst Office Depot to go to.... Shopping carts are filthy! I didn't even want to touch one so I ended up carrying my things in my arms.. the staff member walking around on the floor that asked me if I needed help had no clue about the ink cartridge I asked him about and he wasn't very friendly.. Line to pay was rediculously long and the wait time was even worse... Not to mention on the kids that were just hanging around the store getting in peoples way... the staff needs to step their game up... there wasn't even an apology for the wait time in line....
